           At first she thought it was actually someone else doing it- but that familiar voice. The one thing that she’d never forget that soothed out every goose bump on her skin. Her sentence caused her to peek a smile, just a tad; but despite it she let out a heavy worn sigh. Given the love of sight again, she turned to look at the other with a soft, yet hurtful expression.

“I suppose I do, but I can’t help it this time y’know.” Her hand came up to scratch her cheek slightly. Honestly, she was just down because her mood dropped over time. “It’s good to see you.” There was pure honesty in her voice; moving to her left - to pat next to her, inviting her beloved friend to come take seat with her, “You’re like a heart-hero. Whenever it gets too heavy for me you come running in y’know, it’s almost embarrassing.” She’s trying to make light of it, but her voice isn’t letting her. It’s low, and it’s cracking under the pressure of her emotions.

                 She’s strained; she wants to let out a scream or- a cry. To punch a wall, maybe trash something. But within shaken hands she just gives Mikoto a friendly thumbs up.

                           “Enough ‘bout me, How’re you lately, Miko?”

she had sensed something wrong clinging to kushina all day,   not able to approach the other with her own attention being pulled in five different directions between the clan,   checking up on her sons,   quieting down another moment of furious offense between two clansmen and a grocer over a relatively small dispute.     taking a moment to breathe,   mikoto had found herself seeking out the redhead,   and upon finding her,   taking a moment to just observe.     something was building inside of her best friend  -  she didn’t need to be a sensor,   or use her sharingan,  -  she just knew.

moving from behind kushina so she could settle down beside her,   pale lips pull into a half smile,   fingers coming back to brush vibrant red hair from the other’s face.    she loved kushina’s hair,   so eye catching,   like a wild bird’s that wanted you to stare in awe as it flew and preened.     a force of nature.    the description seems apt.     ❛   i told you,   it’s my secret power.   only those closest to me can know i’m not from this world at all.   ❜    leaning in close,   a wicked edge to her gaze and grin.     the grin then falls,   when the telltale crack and hitch in kushina’s lower tones follows,   and dark brows draw in worry.     a sharp tug of empathetic pain in her chest.      hand reaches out to take kushina’s shaking one in a quiet,   calm hold.     like the rocks on a seashore,   standing strong while the waves beat their pain out against the stone,   howling into the sky.     voice is soft,   firm as she speaks.     ❛   kushina.   talk to me.   ❜

                                                           he learned to love the silence, appreciate it a lot more now. being away from kara, it made him anxious. the orphan had escaped because he  HATED  being with them. sure jigen had adopted him --- no --- bought him. so what  WAS  a real parent? surely not one that beat their kid nor sold their kid, buy their kid let alone...  EXPERIMENTED  on so many of them. the nagging feeling of being stared at caused him to look over his shoulder.  sure enough, it was the red-haired woman. she was a parent? the boy looked away and back at...nothing. 

                       it wasn’t until she spoke up that kawaki glanced at her again. a curious gleam in his guarded gray eyes. there was something about her that made him feel warm. a safe warmth that seemed to radiate from her like when the afternoon sun rays that hit a person’s skin. warmth, soothing, gentle.  when she had gotten up to leave his side, he’d felt the chill overcome him again but it didn’t last long. 

                                           surprise flitted across his features as his eyes widened. placed in front of him was his favorite sweet. he’d just discovered it a day ago. chocolate taiyaki. without a second thought, the boy picked it up and began to chew. he would never get over how amazing this kind of food was. turning his attention back to the woman, he replied, thinking she wanted to talk because naruto wanted more answers maybe.  ❝ ...that asshole tell you to talk to me? i don’t really want to talk about myself but th-...thanks for the treat. ❞ laughable ! ! ! kawaki was  NEVER  polite to anyone but this was a first !

“I’ve been looking everywhere for you.”

It’s early in the morning, light was just beginning to show itself over the village. Just how far could this woman have gotten in her search if he’d only just woken up a few minutes ago? Rubbing one of his eyes still, he furrows his brows at Kushina. “Well, you’ve found me. I was just about to buy something to eat and get on with my day.” It was one of the rare occasions where Sasuke didn’t have a mission to keep him busy, consider it a day off, he was told, and he wasn’t quite sure what to do with it. What did the redhead need him for? “Is something wrong?”

"atleast eat something, you look pale.."

“Huh? Oh...” He was so lost in thought the past two days, he barely even heard Kushina approaching. “Sorry, I didn’t see you. Yeah, don’t worry, I’ve been keeping up on my eating.” He lied.

She didn’t need to know how depressed he’s been, Naruto’s Mother was always a worrying type, and she didn’t deserve that. Especially after being so concerned over Naruto.

"yo" she waves her hand, "you want to tell me why you walked in my house with muddy shoes or--"

Blue eyes widened suddenly at Kushina’s words and the blond looked down at his feet, realizing suddenly that she was correct and his shoes were dirty. Offering a sheepish grin, he pulled the bouquet of fresh flowers he’d picked for her from behind his back. “I wanted to give you these...I guess I got too close to the edge of the creek getting those lilies...” His free hand lifted to scratch faintly at the back of his head.

     “...” He’s a little too old for this sort of treatment, it’s embarrassing. The blush on his pale skinned cheeks said it all. While he’s accustomed to her affection, and had been for a while, doesn’t make it any easier being picked up like a child and holstered on her hips. A quiet huff exhaled from his nostrils. 

     That nickname again.

     “I’m.. fine..” He insisted, averting his dark onyx hues to look anywhere but right at her. “Just a little tired..”

"Oh trust me when I said it is not that far from a fairytale, however, with you coming from the Uzumaki, perhaps you will see my point."

Her clan was known for Sealing Knowledge, they were feared by most of the village, even if they were a friendly clan, unless provoked. But yes, he got there when using the Hiraishin - and sometines, he wondered if it was such a good thing to mess with Time and Space. Unfortunately, he didn't think there was a way for him to go back anytime soon, many information were missing, but perhaps he would figure out something later.

"Thank you for the meal."

Clapped his hands together to pay respect to the meal and Kushina, Tobirama removed the mask, because unlike a certain Hatake, he didn't know the trick to eat while still wearing the mask. All questions could be deal later, he promised he wouldn't run away. Though, with his face cleaned from blood and dirt, it wasn't hard to notice how similar he looked when compared to the face on the Hokage Moutain.

          She inhaled, then exhaled; raising a hand towards the other with a soft smile; “I doubt your words, but they’re taken appreciatively.” Even though he’d left the room, it was still said. Within the minutes he spent leaning, she was mostly cooking. And by time he’d gotten out- the table was set and the bowls of Ramen were placed neatly down. Naruto was waiting for the other, he– he knew some table manners.

                                                     “Mh? After you’ve eaten you can tell me what you’re comfortable with letting me know and I’ll try to understand it to the best of my ability.” A warm smile given, her hand placed on Narutos head who hummed at her touch. “I didn’t know what you wanted to drink so I- well, just put a glass of water down.” 

                                                                                             Still, with her blue apron on she stretched; yawning a little. “You both better eat it all mkay?”
