holy shit, the YYH fandom on fanfiction.net is a GHOST TOWN

pun unintended, but holy SHIT gang, the fandom is seriously dead!

i recently made the choice to leave ffnet permanently for a few reasons:

Most of my work is smutty now, and that kind of content isn't allowed on fanfiction.net per its TOS

The one SFW fic in my roster has now turned smutty, so I can't keep posting, and I REFUSE to chop my story to bits to fit the TOS.

But most importantly: People aren't fostering the fandom anymore, which makes chopping the story to bits NOT EVEN WORTH IT.

like broskis, bruhs, friends and pals, i updated my KuramaxOC fic The Sight Unseen and you know how much engagement it got on ffnet? three comments in six months...but it got MORE THAN 7x THAT AMOUNT on ao3 in even less time

my most recent update has only been out a few weeks and it has ZERO ENGAGEMENT on ffnet, but it's got at least 15 comments on ao3 in the same time...story quality hasn't gone down, it's just that the readership has disappeared

or has it? because the story is getting hits/views on ffnet, it's just that NO ONE IS COMMENTING

here's the kicker: i did get one PM about the story after i updated??? but??? all they did was lecture me for leaving the site WHILE ADMITTING IN THE SAME BREATH THEY NEVER COMMENT ON ANYTHING THEY READ

fandom is community. the only way to forge a community that withstands the test of time is to PARTICIPATE IN IT...so if you're on ffnet and you're wondering why only 50 stories have been created/updated within the last year in the YYH section, and you're a silent reader who doesn't ever comment? hate to break it to ya, bud, but:

To prepare for my eventual return to writing, i have some prompts that based on your votes, i will write them in order of priority. So the one that wins will be written first, the second highest, will be written next, etc.

So here are the prompts I have in mind!

Prompt 1 (Ezra Bridger x Queen of Naboo!reader)

- Ezra meets you as you pretend to be your Handmaiden, as you are still escorted by your handmaidens, one pretending to be you or what anakin and padme could’ve been.

- Jedi x Queen/ Literally just if Padme met Anakin in a better time/ romance with some action because its star wars baby!

Prompt 2 (Gojo Satoru x Geto’s Twin sister!reader)

- Suguru might have left but now the burden of his crimes end up with you. Gojo would do anything to protect you.

-this is a slowburn multi fic. Friends to lovers/Fake to real marriage/Pining/also has Nanami as the second male lead.

Prompt 3 (LA!Kurama x Reader)

- When kidnapped by the Toguro brothers alongside your new found friend Keiko, Kurama must stop himself from acting rashly and letting the demon in him out. He will find you and he will make sure that no harm can ever befall you ever again.

- Friends to lovers/ has some violence because its yuyu hakusho/ this is just the first yuyu hakusho fic i have rn.

Prompt 4 (Bucky Barnes x Librarian!Reader)

- in a world that he no longer really understands, with his oldest friend no longer around and Sam busy with his new duties as captain america, Bucky meets you on a rainy day as he seeks for shelter in a library of all places.

- Love at first sight/ angst-comfort/ happy ending (because i love bucky too much to not give him happiness)

Just outta curiosity, who out there on tumblr is a fan of (in my opinion) one of THE ABSOLUTE BEST Japanese animes EVER CREATED simply known as YU YU HAKUSHO ?!?!?!?! & if any YU YU HAKUSHO fans out there see this, how many of you would like actually read a FF if I were to write one ? I’m brainstorming ideas & I’m possibly considering either some type of storyline that could have a romantic connection to I’m thinking Kurama, Hiei, or maybe even something like if keiko and yusuke broke up and after a considerable amount of time possibly meets a girl who he feels things for that he hasn’t since his break up with keiko (hypothetically speaking) but I’m curious as to what everyone else thinks about it ? Who would you guys want to see develop a romantic relationship if not a similar concept dealing with Yusuke and Keiko ? Kurama ? Or Hiei ? Or maybe even one where both gain a New Romantic Relationship is even an option too ?!?! Or both fall for the same person ?!?!

Sypnosis: Every day, Shuichi visits and brings her flowers. He was her ideal boyfriend, yet, she knew that they would be nothing more than just friends. However, a certain visit from him proved her otherwise.

"Lalala~ Hmmmm~" You hummed while watering your precious garden. Your garden had plenty of flowers, a few herbs and shrubs, and one sakura tree. Every day, a certain redhead gives you different kinds of flowers as a gift. You loved the redhead, he was kind, polite, and most of all, handsome. Shuichi Minamino, your ideal boyfriend. You wished that the redhead was your boyfriend, but he is nothing more than a best friend. Well, that's what you always thought. Though, a certain brunette told you that Shuichi had fallen for you, which you actually didn't believe. But there is a possibility, is there?

"I hope Shuichi would visit me today..." You mumbled to yourself, pouting a bit. You are living alone, both of your parents were working abroad. And Shuichi always visits you at your place to keep you company, which is why you are always expecting him to come. After you finished watering the flowers, you wipe away the sweat on your face then place the water bucket back in its place. You smile to yourself while admiring your finished work. "Might as well as clean myself" You stated then entered the house. You removed your gardening clothes and then headed to the bathroom.

You entered inside and then locked the door. You strip all of your dirty clothes then put them inside the hamper. You step inside the shower and then turn it on. "Hmmmm~ I wonder what kind of flower Shuichi will give me today~" You wondered while thoroughly cleaning your body. After showering, you exit the bathroom with your bathrobe and then head towards your room. Once you enter inside, you search for a clean dress in your closet. You got out a [f/c] Chinese dress that reaches your ankle, it is strapless, covers your neck, and has a slip from the end up to your knee. You dried your [h/c] hair using a hair blower and then tied it into [f/h]. You put on some powder and a lip gloss. "Shuichi will be here any moment now," You said, putting the lip gloss down on your table.

Just after you finished, there was a knock on the door. "Coming!" You yelled while hurrying down the stairs. When you arrived in front of the door, you opened it quickly with glee. Standing outside your door revealed a handsome young man with crimson hair and emerald eyes. "This is for you, milady" He gave you a bouquet of several different flowers. "Thank you" You accepted the gift and then smelled the fragrant flowers. "Come in" You step aside for him to enter. Once he was inside, you unwrapped the bouquet and placed the bundle of flowers in a large vase filled with water. Shuichi sat on the couch and admired your features, he had to admit, you look gorgeous in that dress.

"I'll make some tea, Shuichi. Please stay here for a while" You informed him as you entered the kitchen, your dress trailing behind. "Take your time, [Name]" Shuichi replied. While waiting for you, the redhead played with his signature rose. "My love is sweet as the rose..." He muttered, smiling to himself. "Here" A cup of tea was placed on the coffee table in front of the redhead, he snapped out from his gaze and then smiled at you. "You're welcome" You understood what his smile meant and then smiled back, sitting next to him. "Hey, Shuichi" You called, tugging on his sleeve a bit. "Yes?" He looked at you after he took a sip of his tea. "Care for some quotes that I made?" You asked, eyes pleading for him to say yes. "Of course" He chuckled then placed the cup down.

"Okay, here it is" You took a deep breath then straightened your posture. "Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food, and medicine to the soul" Shuichi smiled at your first quote. The flowers that surround your place inspired you to make quotes about it, and he is proud of you because of that. "Flowers are the music of the ground. From earth's lips spoken without sound," There comes the second one. "Every flower is a soul blossoming in nature" The third. "Love is the flower you've got to let grow" This one earns the redhead's attention. "Life is a flower, so precious in your hand" This one is about life. "A flower cannot blossom without sunshine, and man cannot live without love" is another one that earns his attention.

"Really [Name]?" He smiled. "I don't know, I just thought about it" You shrugged. He referred the question to your 6th quote. He just smiled. "The rose speaks of love silently, in a language known only to the heart" You continued, eyes closed while reciting the quote. You personally love this quote, and a certain green-eyed male started a liking to it too. "Well, that's it! Do you like it?" You said, turning your attention to him. He is awestruck, you can say that he liked your quotes very much. "That was wonderful, [Name]" He complimented. "Thanks" You blushed at his compliment. "But you know..." He said, earning your full attention. "My love is sweet as the rose" He stated. He looked at you and locked eyes with yours for a while, you could melt under his beautiful gaze. You didn't also realize that your face is only an inch apart from him, before slowly leaning in. Both of your lips touched and you stayed like that for a while, kissing your beloved future boyfriend.

Shit is gonna hit the fan with the next chapter. No worries, I've been exploring the plot options and have found the most interesting approach this story can have!

Hence the time between the chapters. I want to GIVE with this story, it's not just a fic, it's become so much more than that.

Also, some religious terms will be used but are in no way bound to real-life religion.

Am I Christian? I was baptized as a child, that's 'bout it. So maybe that's a yes..? But a 'Christian' writing gay, slow-burning, smut on the internet...

Teaser #3 - “Animal Instinct”

“The forest is at its most beautiful at night. Kurama has always thought so.

Moonlight peeking through the black clouds and washing the foliage in shades of blue; the quiet stillness other than the trees swaying with the gentle push and pull of the wind; the shadow play of the growing greenery’s silhouettes. All of it is lovely, quiet, and feels like home.

Evergreens stand tall around him, and he touches the trunk of the closest one. He can feel the soothing fuzz of the moss that covers it and the contours and ridges of the bark. The scent of the pines fills the air and brings that familiar sense of serenity—freedom.

For now, the spirit fox is free, as he should be.

Kurama presses his face against the moss and breathes in deeply, peaceful and at rest. The lichens tickle his ethereal white fur.

He paws at the ground to feel the flesh of the earth, damp and covered with a blanket of pine needles. The moon peers at him from between the trees, glowing and full amongst a sea of stars. Away from the city lights, they glitter and shine in the black sky. Kurama gazes back at them, glad to see old friends.

With a cathartic screech, he breaks into a thunderous sprint. On all fours he’s fleet of foot, effortlessly weaving through the mazes and thickets of the woods.

It’s been a long time.

He runs for what feels like an eternity, and his mind is clear for the first time in over a decade. No ruminating thoughts, no guilt, none of the weight of his human heart.

Tonight he sheds the ruse to run free.

The ambience of his surroundings make music, a symphony of the sounds of nature. He can feel the very heartbeat of Ningenkai every time his feet hit the ground. Faster and faster still, he bounds through the darkness and savors the ephemera of this moonlit night.

Kurama suddenly slides to a stop as a wall of rock—no, a mountainside—comes into view. It’s strangely out of place, though he can’t quite grasp the reason why. He looks to his left and right and sees an endless amount of stone.

There’s a dense patch of trees at the bottom of this mountain. He chooses a particularly wide one to be his place to settle for the time being. When he glances back up at the mountain, it towers over him, inconceivable in its size.

Nowhere left to run, Kurama curls up to lie down in the bed of pine needles underneath the tree. His tail wraps around him for warmth and comfort, red eyes slowly blinking closed as the whistling breeze and the soft rustling of the forest sing him to sleep.”

This is from a very long multi-chapter story that I’m hoping to begin posting by January. High romance Kurahi, mostly canon compliant, and a labor of love complete with original artwork! 💕
