The initiators are Tetsuya Ueda, Choku Kimura, Yuto Sugitani, and h uka, who share doubts about the relationship between exhibition spaces and artworks, as well as politics and dynamics within the art world.      The White Cube has been discussed by critics and artists as having the effect of transforming everything within its white walls into artwork. Outside the White Cube holds a philosophy to resist situations in which the true value of works is not respected. Through the project ‘Outside the White Cube: Place to Exchange Any Ideas for the Arts’, we aim to provide a platform to share opinions and questions about art, fostering a deeper understanding and criticism about art within society. ステートメント： 　「ホワイト・キューブ」とは、近代以降の芸術作品を展示するための白い壁で形成された空間を意味する専門用語です。Outside the White Cubeは、この概念を、芸術を取り巻く環境そのものの代名詞とし、かつ保守性への抵抗の場として企図されました。発起人は上田哲也、木村直、杉谷遊人、h ukaの4名で、発起人たちは、展示空間と作品の関係、美術館や美術市場との関係、そして芸術を取り巻く権力関係に対する懐疑や閉塞感を共有しています。 　ホワイト・キューブは、白壁の内側にあるあらゆるものを芸術作品に仕立て上げる効果をもつと、これまで多くの批評家やアーティストによって論じられてきました。Outside the White Cubeは、芸術の本来の価値が顧みられることが難しい状況に抵抗するという理念を持っています。本プロジェクト「アウトサイド・ザ・ホワイト・キューブ：芸術のための意見交換場」では、芸術に対する意見や疑問を共有する場を提供し、社会における芸術についての理解と批判を深めることを目指しています。

Bauwagen der Demokratie

Am Bahnhof Düsseldorf-Bilk kniet dieses kleine Mädchen und zeichnet engagiert und liebevoll ein Traumhaus (?) ins Grüne. Dabei handelt es sich nicht um die zeitgemäße Werbung eines Baufinanzierers, sondern um Kunst am Beton. Was sein muss. Als Metapher. Und das Kino Metropol, in dem eine Doku über Joseph Beuys lauft, ist auch nur ein paar Schritte entfernt. Wenige Meter weiter und dazu leicht den Hang von der Straßenbahnhaltestelle hoch und dann nach links in die Bachstraße abbiegend, ist ab dem 11. Juni 2017 das Kunst und Kulturprojekt "Bauwagen der Demokratie" auf der Bachstr. 138 im Freiraum wieder für die Öffentlichkeit geöffnet. Nach den Brandanschlag im Juli.2016 wird das Projekt mit einem neuen Konzept fortgeführt. Der gemeinnützige Künstlerverein ArtFakt e.V. präsentiert nun die Bildende Kunst in der mobilen Galerie im Bauwagen. Zur Wieder-Eröffnung zum Florapark Sommerfest stellen die Künstler vom Bauwagen: Wolfram Art Janz, Christiane Bayer, Patrick Loos, Janis Bayer und Horst Dorn Die nächsten Ausstellungen haben den letzten Donnerstagen im Monat die Vernissage. 29.06. Rudolf Mokka 27.07. Thomas Kuffner 24.08. Miriam Boutty Jeden Donnerstag gibt es einen Jour Fix für Künstler und Kunstinteressierte im Off-Raum. Malaktionen und Kunstbeteiligung finden immer wieder statt und auch Live Musik. Kunstpunkte Düsseldorf und 100 Thousand Poets for Change finden auch dort statt. Auf einer sozio-kulturellen Basis begegnen sich die Kreativen und die Interessierten Zeitgenossen.
