Various recent Sailor Moon doodles. Artist’s notes as follows:

* Kunihiko Ikuhara's original SuperS movie pitch mentioned a "black Pegasus" to be ridden by Sailor Uranus. I turned that into a proper character, Nyx; she guards Tartarus and becomes close with Sailor Saturn after the latter rescues her from an unjust execution. * As far as I'm concerned, Marco Albiero's Zodiac Sailor Guardians are the closest we'll get to a canonization of that popular fan-concept. The first two I chose to draw were Taurus and Libra. * "Man, I have no use for Perle... Let's have him get buddy-buddy with Kousagi, another character I had little use for until I had her represent a timeline split. Also, let's give him a new outfit." * The Sailor V anime proposal was unearthed not too long ago, revealing what Hikaru, Mamori, and Miyabi were supposed to look like in-series. (Yes, "Mamori", not Mamoru as her name was written. We're enforcing a one-Mamoru limit.) I'd sprited them before, but this is the first I've actually drawn of them. * This is also the first time I've drawn most of the guys here, too. Ryo, Yuichiro, Shingo, Motoki, and Shinozaki got upgrades into Rangers Cepheus, Corvus, Lyra, Orion, and Vela, respectively--the "Rangers" concept itself coming from the old fic "Ranger Saturn", which predated S (possibly even R) and suggested that Rangers were the male counterparts to the Sailor Guardians. (Why Shinozaki as Venus's counterpart? Motoki is already Jupiter's, and I got the idea to use him specifically from SetsunaKou's stuff) * A "true" Eternal Sailor Neptune, inspired by AmethystSadachbia's AU where everyone's canon Eternal forms are actually one level of transformation, "Star", below Eternal.

ryo urawa is a boy that looks like shinji but since this was in the first season of sm, i dont know if this was intentional.
