Kung jin trauma

Personally we all know Cassie, takeda , frost , Jacqui these kids have trauma and that has been descriptors well but there is one thing that pisses me off is kung Jin's trauma that no one recognises not even the Kombat kids.

He was thrown in the streets after being disowned by his own family except for kung lao who was at that Tim a revenant and worst is the fact he was just a kid in the streets stealing and learning how to survive with no parental or adult guidance.

He wasn't even considered going to the wushi at a very late age until he met raiden who took his sweet time getting to jin and I hate the fact he didn't take him to the wu shi really quickly.

One person that does regret is the sister of kung Lao and the mother of kung jin because she loved kung jin as an infant hell she gave birth to her baby and this was taken by @running-with-the-feels and @charlotte-family-apologist that the kung clan members forced her to disown kung jin.

And how this trauma is in my au because Hatsune thought that kung jin was happily with kung huai with no news of his disownment and she was concentrating on her kids thinking he was safe but he wasn't and kung huai couldn't communicate with Hatsune through letters because of the elders wishes and Hatsune was in hiding to protect her kids from them.

The only reason kung jin meets his cousins is at the age of sixteen where he accidentally steals Hiroto's hat but the hat goes back to kung hiroto and kung jin recognises his cousin and kung hiroto recognises kung jin because of kung Lao's visits while taking hiroto.

So from that point on kung jin starts a bit of healing and he got accepted into a home and when Hatsune had came back from one of her missions she had immediately saw kung jin and had pulled that boy into a hug and that was the first time in years he felt a mother's touch and a parental figure along with a family everything he wanted his whole life he got it after a long year's.

i started watching mk conquest and i am very confused about the setting lol. like within the white lotus temple you have monks who i assume are supposed to call to mind buddhist tradition but then village that kung laos love interest lives in feels like its meant to call to mind the middle east but also the names are very very all over the place

orientalism and being a product of its time aside, the show is very charming i had fun with the first episode. the acting is not great by any means but its okay thats part of its charm lol. i like the idea of a story that kinda retraces its steps and lets us see what the history of the main timeline looked like

Disclaimer: For my tier list I’m basing this off of a one on one fight with no weapons and no outside interference. If a character has to rely on a weapon they’re ranked lower. If a character has to fight more than one person at a time, I’d look at it on a case by case basis. Age, size and general background are factors that will be taken into consideration. Since a lot of those details are going to be up to interpretation as these are characters and not real people, feel free to share your own thoughts.

Kissin Cousins takes place during the height of the Cold War in the 1960s. Based on the military wanting to build a missile base in the movie, we can assume this is a result of the recent Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. Given how the US launched attacks against possible Cuban airfields throughout 1963-1964, it makes sense to assume that the plan described in the beginning is part of it. No one at the time knew if there would be a nuclear war so the 1960s was spent with the military significantly upgrading their defense systems.

Since Josh and Jodie only fought each other I have to combine their backgrounds and put their sole fight in one post. Neither Josh nor Jodie have a given age but we can assume they're the same age given how "identical" they are. We can get a general idea of age based on Josh being a 2nd LT. pilot in the Air Force. That's the lowest commissioned officer rank you can get. Anyone with knowledge on Air Force ranking can correct me but I would guess that Josh is anywhere between 25-30 years old. Therefore Jodie would also be in that age range. Jodie of course is the "champion wrestler" and still does a lot of physical labor as a mountaineer.

This is a wrestling match if you can call it that. It's mostly pushing, shoving and pawing. Neither one threw an actual punch and no one won. Azalea and Selena broke the two apart before an there was official winner. Therefore this fight ends in a draw.

At face value neither guy shown enough to even deserve a rank. However based on their general backgrounds I would put Jodie above Josh. While they were evenly matched Jodie is in a WAY more athletic condition than Josh. Jodie has to hunt and do a lot of manual labor just so him and his family can live up in the mountains. Without including his "champion wrestler" status, there's little to no room for Jodie to get fat and lazy. With Josh, being an Air Force pilot leaves a lot more room for him to be slightly out of shape. Since he's in the military physical fitness is still a requirement, but he doesn't have the same rigorous fitness routine that Jodie would have on a day to day basis.

Therefore I would put Josh in upper B tier and Jodie in low A tier. I think if we saw more altercations between the two, we would get a better idea. As it stands I would give Jodie the slight edge given that Josh is almost never in a position where he would have to fight someone without a weapon. If Jodie is a champion wrestler, then he would absolutely have an edge as he would in general have more experience.

I can't properly put into words the amount of disgust that I feel seeing someone who looks like she could be my cousin fight for a genocidal occupational force like Israel but I will say this.

If you are Chinese, Korean, Japanese or any one of these Asian ethnicities that the West deem "acceptable" and you align yourselves with western-backed racial supremacy, you are making fools of yourselves. You have fallen prey to the myth of the "model minority" and you are suckers for it.

The premise of racial supremacy is based on exclusivity. And here's a dose of reality - the myth of the "model minority" is nothing but a tactic to placate you. To sow divide in the ranks of people of colour. To artificially manufacture another realm of racial supremacy in minorities so that you're distracted from how we all suffer under colonialism.
