Ouch...almost two months...murdered motivation sucks...

-Chie first met you back in middle school. Your mutual love of martial arts movies led you to becoming fast friends, even though she was much more... enthusiastic than you were. You really just liked watch people fighting but Chie took it to the extreme.

-Not that you minded by any means of course, you looked up and admired her passion and drive. When you two met Yukiko as you entered high school you quickly became the glue holding the three of you together.

-It wasn't long before Yukiko started shipping the two of you together. Your dynamic just really struck a chord with her, she couldn't really describe it. As the Investigation team is formed and more people join, they start sharing the same sentiment.

-It never really occurred to Chie, mostly because she's not exactly a wise sage, but it certainly at least crossed your mind once or twice. Being around her just felt so...natural. It sort of felt like you were already romantically involved.

-It's after your close encounter with death when you caught the true culprit of the murders that you realized you had to do something or nothing would happen. It got you thinking on your own mortality and the realization that if you wanted to see change in your short life, you needed to make it happen yourself.

-As soon as you did work up the courage to confess your real feelings, Chie immediately breathes a sigh of relief, both at the fact that you felt the same she did and that she didn't need to take initiative herself anymore.

-Truthfully, not much changes People were teasing you about being in a relationship already for a reason. But there is that extra bit of tension when you're together. But it's the good kind.

-Your parents moved to Inaba when you were a child, and naturally you had to go along with them. While you were waiting for furniture to be moved into the new place you all went exploring and ended up at the Amagi Inn everyone was seemingly talking about.

-While you're looking around for things to do, you meet a girl your age who you learn is the daughter of the owners and you become friends pretty quickly.

-You're the first to find out and worry when Yukiko goes missing during your second year of high school. Once you figure out that Chie, Yosuke, and the new transfer student have found out where she is and they're planning to save her, you quickly assert yourself into the group, no room for negotiation.

-You lowkey lead the charge, leadership from Yu be damned. You're not letting anything happen to Yukiko as long as you still draw breath.

-Once you confront Yukiko's Shadow you go pretty much into overdrive. If her Shadow wasn't as strong as it was you would've thrown hands with it personally, even if you were weak to Fire skills after awakening your Persona.

-You barely manage to slip by and get Yukiko out safely after she's able to accept her Shadow. Something's still bothering you, though. The way her Shadow called you her prince, coming to save her.

-Upon questioning her, she suddenly gets rather nervous, but eventually confesses that she'd had feeling for you for some time now. You were able to act normal around her, supporting her no matter what.

-And you'd still stick by her no matter what. But this time, as her S/O.

-You were shopping one day in Junes when a girl your age quickly approached you, asking you to help her hide. Not really knowing what else to do when put in such a situation out of nowhere, you complied.

-After the surprisingly large crowd that came out of nowhere left, she breathed a sigh of relief and introduced herself as THE Risette, having no choice now. To her surprise though, you weren't a rabid fan. Yeah you'd heard of her, but had no interest in her status.

-Needless to say this came as quite a shock to her, but it also came with a huge opportunity. the opportunity to make a real, genuine friend without needing to worry about it going south because of her fame.

-So that's exactly what she did. You were keeping out of public eye as much as possible so people didn't catch on to your repeated plots in hiding her whenever the two of you went out, doing normal teenager things and growing closer.

-The feeling of security, of being able to be a normal person around you was something Rise didn't want to lose. Someone she could actually be Rise with, not Risette.

-The moment she knew she wanted you as an S/O, she made that clear immediately. And of course you couldn't say no to such an infectiously energetic, upbeat lady.

-Your dad was in the Inaba police force, he had been for quite a while. You accompanied him to the station one day, and for a change, actually found someone your age.

-An androgynous young man, claiming to be a student detective brought on to help solve the recent murder cases. You ask if you can help any, you did at least pick up a couple things from your old man. He said he'd get back to you if he ever needed anything and thanked you for the offer.

-It's not long before this new acquaintance, Naoto, does in fact get back to you. You two go out somewhere to eat and discuss/speculate about the case. Naoto however quickly became drawn to you, somehow, and the you ended up hanging out more casually, slowly but surely.

-Naoto in a twist of fate, however, ended up going missing as well like a few other people have. You were worrying for days about whether or not everything was alright, worried another body would be added to the count.

-Miraculously, and much to your relief, he ends up safe and sound, though saying there was a big secret to reveal. Naoto was actually...a woman.

-After listening to his- er... her reasoning for the disguise, you completely understand why it was done, much to her relief. You don't judge her for it.

-Once the secret's out, she opens up much more than before, and soon it's not long before a different kind of feeling between you two starts to develop. Surprisingly, she's the one to confess first. After confronting her Shadow, she realized she needed to be true to herself more, thought you don't need to know about the whole world inside the TV deal.

-She's inexperienced, but she's trying. It takes her a while to accept the fact you appreciated her for her, but the idea of calling you her S/O definitely wasn't one she was against.

(Persona 4&5/Jujutsu Kaisen) Haru, Ann, Rise, and Miwa that princess carries them

Haru is first shocked, but loves being carried like this.

It made her feel like a princess, which was always her dream.

And it also gave her an excuse to be close to her S/O!

She wouldn't mind in private, but definitely prefers not to be picked up in public.

She never gets entirely used to it.

Ann would sometimes grumble, sometimes she'd fight back and get off.

But sometimes she'd smile and try to pick them up herself. It really depended on her mood that day, honestly.

Rise doesn't mind one bit when S/O picks her up.

If anything she loves it. Though strangely, her reactions are an inverse.

If S/O picks Rise up in public, she'll laugh and play it up. In private, she gets quiet and blushy.

Rise definitely loves the feeling of being in their arms, and will use any excuse to be in there.

(Rise) "Ah, I could get used to this~."

Miwa is always taken off guard despite how skilled of a fighter she is.

She thinks she'd be able to notice things that'd catch her off guard, only to be swept off her feet lovingly by S/O.

Miwa is in the middle of tripping over her own words as her brain processes how close S/O is all of a sudden.

As time goes on, she gets a little more used to it, but would prefer if they didn't do it randomly out in public.

Day 17. Siren Rise x Reader

Note(s): This was fun to write, I miss the P4 gang. Also a little on the nose with Rise being a siren, but it's a cute concept.

She heard footsteps getting closer to her little grotto, her head poking up from where she was waiting. A smile crosses her face when she sees you approach and she lifts herself higher so you can see.

“There you are! I almost thought you forgot about me,” she jokes, giving you a teasing wink as you approach, her eyes glancing to the basket you have with her. You had promised to show her more human food and she felt excited. She came to the edge of where water spilled into the cave and lifted herself up to sit next to you, her tail still swishing in the cool water.

You unpack the basket and she listens as you explain some of the food before she happily grabs some of the dessert. A pleased chirp escapes her as she tastes it. “And this is why you’re my favorite human.”

“I’m the only human you know,” you reply and she smiles at the comment and shrugs, her head resting on your shoulder, making your clothes damp.

“And my favorite.”

You both continue eating together, talking, and laughing. She enjoys these moments. At first she was wary when she came across this grotto and saw you, but she’s glad that you two became close.

Rise doesn’t even know how much time has passed, nor is she really thinking about it as she starts absentmindedly humming. The noises echoing in the grotto, sounding almost hauntingly beautiful. At one point, she hated how her singing sounded, but you helped her love it again.

“New song?” You ask her, her humming not pulling you into a trance like her singing sometimes does if she’s not careful. Rise pauses and thinks a moment.

“Maybe. I’m still trying to find the right words for it.”

“I’m sure it’ll sound great.” Rise giggles your response, poking your nose playfully.

“Not like you have a choice. I could sing a children’s song and you’d find it beautiful,” she half jokes, knowing that her siren nature messes with her singing quite a bit. She’s just glad you don’t seem to mind too much if you’re accidentally entranced.

“What are siren children’s songs like?” She smiles at your curiosity and begins to sing in the language of Mer, keeping an eye on you to make sure you don’t throw yourself into the water or something.

Her song trails off when she sees you’re seeming a tad out of it and she lets you come back. Rise used to hate whenever she’d accidentally put you in a trance with her singing, but you were never upset. She’s just happy she’s gotten to a point where she can control it a lot better.

“Sorry,” she apologizes sheepishly and you shake your head.

“It’s fine. I like your voice.”

“See, this is why you’re my favorite human. So nice to me,” she jokes and kisses the tip of your nose. “It’s getting a tad late. I’ll see you tomorrow?” She asks as she looks at you, knowing that time has passed even though she swears it freezes when she’s with you.

“Of course. I have to come see my favorite siren.” Rise smiles brightly at that and watches as you leave, sighing softly before going back to her own home, humming the tune of the song she plans to dedicate to you.

one afternoon one weekend, you two sat in her room and got set up. rise, with her array of lip glosses and you with your bandanna over your eyes.

"okay! i've got the first one on! ready?" rise asks. you nod, trying to hide your giddiness at getting kissed by your girlfriend.

"no cheating!" rise chides before giving you a quick yet firm kiss to the lips. it lasts long enough to be able to taste what flavour her lip gloss was, but not too long to overstay its welcome.

it tasted like strawberries - she was probably starting easy.

as the game continued, you were graced with a myriad of fruit and sweet-flavoured kisses, but they got harder as they continued.

Yu has just recently returned to Inaba, and was already keeping himself busy. After learning that Dojima was probably working late again, he asked Nanako for dinner suggestions and then proceeded to pick up the ingredients for tonight. He decided he was going to pay you a visit as well, and maybe invite you over for dinner. As he was going down the Central Shopping District, he saw an unfamiliar food truck with a few people lined up. He, however, saw a familiar faces: yours.

You were serving the customers inside the food truck. You gave him a small wave, but quickly went back to serving. Yu sat down, and decided to wait for you. You handed him a serving of quesadillas, mouthing 'I'm sorry'. Yu waved you off and winked, 'It's okay'.

After a while, the customers started scattering. It was just the two of you now. The both of you started catching up, with Yu complimenting your skills and telling you how much he misses you.

"I didn't know you handled a food truck," Yu says, pouting.

"I just started, and when you said you were coming this week, I decided to just wait until you arrived." You poked his cheek to get him to stop pouting. He let up after a while.

"This is really good."

"You can have more if you want? Maybe Nanako would like to try some?"

Yu is really supportive towards the business, and would offer to help around from time to time. He finds it to be a win-win situation, he could spend time with you while learning more about you. When he returns to the city, he is surely going to miss you and your cooking.

Kanji

You can never keep a secret from Kanji, mainly because the both of you are together most of the time. So when you said you wanted to start a food truck, he was very excited! In fact after you said that, the moment he got home, he also told his mom you were starting a food truck. Mrs. Tatsumi is very excited as well! Also, he might've also told his

Kanji is a decent cook, so if you need extra help, he would be happy to! He just asks that you do not make him in charge of the customers, mainly because he is afraid it might make people turn away. He does not want that for you.

"They might not buy food if I was in charge."

"Then don't buy! It's probably better that way."

"Are you sure? I-"

"Yes Kanji. I want you to be a part of this, and if they don't like that, then they can go $%&*#~!" Remind Kanji to not make you that mad.

On days that Kanji cannot be with you, he convinces the Investigation Team, and some of his customers and/or students to visit your food truck. At the end of the day he would gladly help you clean up and go home with you.

He is really happy and loves you and your food a lot. He tries to recreate your dishes, but find that yours is still the best. He is very lucky to be able to know and love you!

Rise

You told Rise about it, and she hasn't been in town to check it herself. Which made her very sad, but all the more eager to see you and the truck! The moment she stepped foot in Inaba, she went straight for you, not even dropping off her things first.

She is very supportive and excited! She offers to help, and you ask her to just spread the word around about the truck. Although, granted, the truck was already pretty famous since it was a small town. Her efforts are still very much appreciated though! She loves hanging out, and watching you serve the customers. She would gladly chat with some of them, and gives you lots of praises. Even passersby started getting curious and decided to give it a try.

If you decide to share some tips, she is listening with full attention. She also likes asking questions, out of curiosity. It makes her feel closer to you.

"The thing with most soul foods is the quality of ingenuity, there is no strict way to make one dish," you stated, while you were showing Rise how to make mac and cheese.

"Oh! I love doing that!"

You remember the omelet incident at the Dojima residence. "Yes, sweetheart, I know. But we should start with the simpler dishes, yes?"

Rise giggled. "Okay!"

She loves eating the food you make, and misses it a lot when she has to go to the city for her job. Though she finds restaurants that sells soul foods, her favorite is still yours.

Naoto

Naoto was out of town, because of a few cases in the city that needs their attention. The both of you have been texting a lot, and sometimes they feel bad because they are very busy. You assure them that it's fine, and that you are excited for them to come by and see the food truck you're running!

When Naoto finally got some free time, they decided to visit. They stayed with their grandfather, while informing the Investigation Team that they might be available to hangout. Of course, the first person that they went to was you. They wanted to surprise you at your food truck, but then saw the line that was forming.

Naoto is very happy for you, and offers help should you need it. They are a quick learner, so if you need extra hands, then you are talking to the right person. Before this, they already had a great respect for you, so imagine their surprise when you started your own food truck and made it successful; they are very proud!

"I have to say, these are really delicious. Do you have a secret ingredient you use?"

"Hmm... I guess there is." You placed a finger under your chin, as if in thought.

"And what is that?"

"Love." You say with the biggest grin, and Naoto rolled their eyes playfully.

Naoto likes learning about you, and this includes everything. So if you decided to explain the significance and history of soul foods, then they are all ears.

“Looking like a snack as usual, Rise!” You wink in her direction, and she jokingly gasps, covering her cheeks in faux embarrassment.

“Y/n, stop iittt! You’re making me all hot and bothered!” Rise returns your wink with a charismatic one of her own, and soon you’re both giggling at the ridiculousness of said interaction.

The others look unamused, quite used to your antics. You and Rise are like two peas in a pod, often flirting with one another, albeit in a joking manner. You both know you’re just joking so it’s all in good fun.

“Geesh Rise, if you really feel that way about Y/N why don’t you make a move already? We all know you have the charm for it.” Yosuke mumbles. Chie voices her agreement beside him. Rise’s eyes light up in what you suspect to be a similar manner to your own.

She moves closer to you, batting her eyelashes playfully as you mockingly swoon over her. You chuckle when she wraps her arms around you in a hug, squealing when you return it. Yukiko starts laughing uncontrollably as Kanji makes a remark that leaves Rise fuming.

You spot Yu up ahead, finally making his way over to the rest of you. You lightly elbow Rise, drawing her attention. You nod your head in Yu’s direction, and her entire demeanor changes. “Senpai! I missed you!” She practically skips over to Yu as she throws her arms around him, burying her face into his shoulder as she squeezes him in her notorious tight hugs.

You wiggle your eyebrows when Yu catches your eye, and his cheeks redden.

Oh?

Yu joins the rest of you with Rise clinging to his arm, and you all engage in amicable chatter before you disperse to look for clues on the latest potential Inaba murder victim.

“Oh, Rise, Yu, you two should investigate together.” You mention. “Huh?” Rise perks up at the suggestion, yet her cheeks warm in surprise. Ah, you’ve caught her off guard with your suggestion, but Yu is a desirable man. You gotta help your girl out as best you can, before someone else gets with him.

“Oh? Why is that?” Yu looks genuinely confused, and one of the girls voices their protest.

“Because Rise has something important to discuss with you regarding her career. She doesn’t feel comfortable telling everyone yet, so she wants to do it one on one until she feels more comfortable voicing her concerns with the group. She’s still an idol you know.” You come up with that on the spot, praying the investigation team buys your bullshit reasoning.

Rise’s eyes alight with delight when no one has a retort, leading to Yu’s easy agreement. The two of them walk off, and Rise glances behind her to meet your gaze. You wink, giving her a subtle thumbs up. She mouths an enthusiastic ‘Thank you!’ in your direction, leading to an amused smirk presenting itself on your face.

“I know what you’re up to Y/N.” Kanji announces. You glance at him in surprise, only for him to say “Rise’s just too shy to be open and honest with the rest of us without putting on that idol persona of hers, right? That’s why she’s gotta discuss it with senpai alone first huh?” You nod in agreement at Kanji’s off base understanding, but it helps your case significantly.

The rest of the investigation team ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’ as if that totally makes sense. Naoto shakes her head in dismay as she pinches the bridge of her nose. Yosuke emits a sigh akin to disappointment as the rest of the group actually buys that reasoning.

“Anyway-! Let’s investigate guys. We can’t call ourselves the investigation team if we don’t play the part!” You successfully divert their attention as the rest of you set off in a group before you split up, asking around as you search for clues.

You receive a text later that evening with Rise’s heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity you provided her.

You send a silly winky face with a kiss in reply, smiling when she sends you a rose and a ring in turn.

You cherish your friendship with Rise, and you hope she can find the happiness she deserves.

rise secretly dating a troublemaker

pairing: rise kujikawa x gn!reader

you've got quite the bad reputation and rise is told to stay away from you the moment she moves to inaba!

however, in such a small town, it's impossible to avoid someone and eventually, the two of you run into each other for the first time!

rise doesn't recognize you at first. you're far too nice to be that troublemaker she heard all those rumors about, so she happily talks to you!

but when you reveal your name, the surprise is written on rise's face!

rise reveals to you that she heard all the rumors about you and was told to stay away from you. it's not like she could keep it a secret anymore…

but she also add that you're not as bad as she thought you'd be! perhaps, she doesn't need to stay away from you after all…

and so, the two of you meet again. you keep running into each other in inaba, always sneaking away together to get some alone time

rise can't be seen with you, but she's determined to get to know you! plus, she starts to develop feelings for you…

it doesn't take long for your secret friendship to turn into a secret relationship

rise doesn't tell anyone of her friends about you, but the two of you continue to meet late at night, away from all prying eyes…

Also sorry for not writing a request at all yesterday, had motivation/writer's block issues but we're back now.

Chie is quick to panic the moment she sees you show up on the Midnight Channel. It only gets worse when she immediately calls you and there's no answer. Safe to say, she doesn't sleep that night.

-The first thing she does at class is bring it up. The rest of the IT is very likely familiar with you already in some way or another, even if you're not one of them. Though from the looks of things that may be about to change.

-Her anxiety only gets even worse when her most dreaded moment arrives, meeting your Shadow. It quickly goes from dreaded to appalled when she hears what it has to say.

-You Shadow openly taunts you about knowing deep down you weren't good enough. You were so weak compared to Chie, she oughta ditch and find someone else not as sad and pathetic as you.

-You of course try to put up a strong front in front of your girlfriend and friends and deny your Shadow, leading it to transform and attack. Really this isn't the worst outcome for Chie, most other people would kill to literally kick their S/O's insecurities about themselves in the face. It's surprisingly cathartic despite the situation.

-To put a stop to everything, you need to confront your real feelings about yourself in front of everyone, regardless of how uncomfortable it is, and you're awarded with a Persona.

-As soon as you're out of the TV world and you're alone Chie immediately slaps you for ever doubting yourself like that. Partly out of anger and partly out of concern to get you out of that train of thought.

-She hugs you right after and promises that you are in fact good enough for her, and she'll do anything to make you see that. It won't be easy, but everything she's done for you today is at least a good start.

-Anxiety and worry immediately find themselves welling up uncomfortably inside Yukiko as she sees your Shadow on the TV, claiming to know a huge secret. What could you possibly be hiding from her?

-Regardless of her feelings of fear as to what that may be, she has to push on, considering your life is now on the line here.

-Her feeling of nervousness only gets worse and worse as the team progresses through the dungeon, and by the time they reach your Shadow her heart feels as if it's trying to escape.

-It's then that your Shadow reveals the secret it teased. It lays your feelings out plain in front of everyone, saying that you didn't deserve someone so perfect like Yukiko. You'd be better off just dying so that she could find someone better for her.

-So that was the secret. She has a few things on her on mind to share, but that can wait until your life isn't in mortal danger. She attacks your Shadow relentlessly, about to do her damndest to make sure it feels how much she really loves you, make it feel it so much that it burns.

-You eventually have to fess up how you feel, swallowing your pride in front of everyone. Hey, at least you get a cool Persona out of it.

-Once you're safe and sound back in the real world, Yukiko hesitantly confronts you, asking if everything your Shadow said was true. You have no choice now but to be honest. You ask her if she really thinks that you're enough for someone like her.

-She's equal parts flattered and concerned that you hold her in such higher regards than yourself to this degree. With a slightly embarrassed demeanor, she assures you that you are in fact enough to make her happy, and she'll do anything to make you sure of that too.

-The first thing going through Rise's head as she sees you on the Midnight Channel is probably something along the lines of "Oh hell no". Both in a fearful way and an angry way.

-Never before has she been so frustrated about not having a combat Persona. This is the one time she actually wishes to be out on the front lines fighting, however her Persona isn't specced for that much to her chagrin.

-Upon finally reaching you and your Shadow she's the first to warn you about it and try urging you to accept it. However this proves to be to little avail.

-Both of you are caught off guard as it spouts out your insecurities about your relationship straight to your faces, making some grim jokes about Rise ditching you and getting into a scandal with some other idol that isn't so much of a wimp.

-If Rise had the capability to slap your Shadow, it would've gotten launched out the window. Unfortunately all she can do now is support the rest of the IT to hopefully do that for her.

-She's demanding rather assertively for you to accept your Shadow. Despite how embarrassed you feel right now, there's no hiding from it anymore, and you have to accept those feeling as a part of you, giving your your Persona.

-Once you're finally back in the real world, Rise drags you out somewhere you can be alone with her and immediately traps you in a bone crushing hug on the verge of tears. She's calling you an idiot for ever thinking you're not good enough, especially when she makes it so clear how much she cares about you.

-Despite the slightly harsh words, you're her idiot, and she'd rather have no one else by her side. She doesn't let you leave her sight until she can say with confidence you're sure of that, too.

-Naoto is stunned upon seeing you on the TV. She just sits there, completely appalled as she watches you announce the revealing of some big secret it's about to reveal.

-Despite the situation she does her best to keep her cool. She's rather new to the team so no one knows who you are but once she explains you're her S/O they quickly realize the gravity of the situation and waste no time in jumping into the TV.

-She immediately asks Yu for her to be on the frontlines, wishing to take charge in this mission to save her S/O. He thankfully agrees despite her inexperience. She's more than smart enough to lead the charge, knowing the intricacies of your dungeon since she's the only one who knows you so much.

-They soon find your Shadow holding you hostage, seemingly expecting the group to show up. It's cool and collected, no sign of nervousness upon seeing them.

-It seems oddly intent upon breaking you and Naoto up throwing out all your insecurities for everyone to hear.

-She had been suspecting something was up for a while now, but not something this extreme. The time to talk about that was later though, there was a fight to be had. She expected you wouldn't accept these feelings were real right off the bat.

-Reluctantly and with a heavy sigh, you come to accept your Shadow and the unfortunate truths it speaks.

-Naoto, now armed with new knowledge, confronts you on what your Shadow had said. Had you really felt that you didn't deserve her? If anything she should be feeling that way. She knows her work prevents her from making as much time with you as she ought to, she was worried she hadn't been giving you enough.

-The two of you can finally be refreshingly honest with each other. If anything, your relationship is even stronger than before, finally knowing the depths of how much you two truly admire one another, and you both can feel secure in knowing that you feel the same way.

No one requested these, I feel self indulgent atm

Jean's face scrunches up involuntarily.

She doesn't want to hurt her S/O's feelings but by the Archons it tastes AWFUL.

She puts the plate to the side and clears her throat.

(Jean) "...M-May I ask how you cooked this?"

Jean ends up helping S/O cook, but she doesn't mind adding it to her list to-do.

50% of the reason is because she's there to support her S/O and spending time with them is never a bad thing.

...And the other 50% is because as the Acting Grand-Master of Favonius, it's her duty to protect the citizens from danger.

And by Barbatos is their cooking a danger.

Lumine has a wide smile as she takes a spoonful.

That smile quickly dies like her taste buds and her stomach.

She spits it out, though she wasn't trying to be mean.

Lumine was just trying to save herself.

(Lumine) "HUAGH! ...Uh, I-I mean, it's...could be worse heheh...heh...eh...."

She feels so bad that her instincts kicked in, but she doesn't let this deter S/O.

She personally trains them on how to cook like a pro.

More importantly, so Paimon doesn't complain in front of them and break S/O's heart.

If Clorica wasn't awake, good lord is she now.

Her sleepy eyes shoot wide open as she almost drops the fork of "food" on it.

(Clorica) "I-I appreciate the thought."

It's like Vishnal and Forte all over again.

Clorica considers asking Porcoline to help teach them how to cook at first, but decides this has to be something she has to do personally.

She is startlingly alert and awake for the entire duration, scaring all of Selphia.

Scarlett doesn't normally eat grand meals or anything with much flavor.

All she tends to eat is Onigiri since its quick, easy to make, and perfect to give her the energy for patrols.

But she's not so rude as to deny a meal given to her, especially by her own S/O.

As soon Scarlett's tongue comes into contact with the abomination calling itself food however, she spits it out and immediately looks to S/O.

(Scarlett) "I'm...afraid I cannot eat this. Come with me, you will receive Ranger Cooking training this instant."

A fire is lit inside her to train S/O how to cook properly.

Even if it's just a basic meal, it's clear they need it.

As a Ranger of Rigbarth, it is her duty to save the people.

And S/O's cooking needs a hero more than ever.

Rise thinks their cooking is great!

She doesn't sense anything wrong as she chows down.

(Rise) "This is great S/O, you did a great job! Ooooh, I know! Why don't we cook something together?"

...

(Yu) "Yosuke? What's wrong?"

(Yosuke) "Dude...I sense a disturbance in the force! It's as if millions of stomachs cried out, then were suddenly silenced...!"

(Kanji) "...Y-Yeah?"

...

The terrible truth is that Rise can't cook to save her life either, and its why she doesn't sense anything remiss with S/O's.

So when she helps them cook, it doesn't do them good.

In fact, it makes it worse.

God have mercy on anyone that taste Rise and S/O's cooking.

Naoto tastes S/O's horrific cooking, and somehow has the willpower to swallow it.

While she's sure it'll cause problems later, she gently pushes the plate away and gives them an honest look.

(Naoto) "...If I may be blunt, I do not think I can eat this."

Not wanting her S/O to get down, she smiles.

(Naoto) "How about you show me how you did it? We can work on it together."

Step by step, she makes S/O follow a simple recipe, since she was in the same situation before.

Naoto isn't the greatest chef, but she'll make sure S/O won't get deterred, just like she did when she made chocolates a few years back.
