not trying to be mean or anything but you don't need to put spaces in your links like that! Tumblr doesn't penalize your posts for having a link. Posts are more likely to spread organically through ppl reblogging them than anything else.

I appreciate the heads up! Last I heard was the general consensus that links were at one point throttling posts showing up in the general tumblr search, and I wasn't sure about how truthful it was but I figured it wouldn't hurt too much to cut up the links anyways. If that's changed or if that was never the case (which I'm glad about) then I'll go back to using links as usual.

I doubt this is of any use to you, but I looked around the web and turned up a (very) incomplete set of chapters of The Aftermath in the AO3 webpage version hosted on the internet archive. The other chapters' page captures were made by logged in users, which makes the wayback machine version (lacking viewadult=true url) inaccessible, as far as I know. ch 1 ch 2 ch 3 ch 4 ch 5 ch 14 ch 20 ch 21

Hopefully someone can provide a more complete version, a way to get those pages, or perhaps Pancho (nana_banana) will eventually unhide their collection.

Hey! Thank you for your message. It hasn't been scrapped as I still want to finish it one day, but I can't say when that time would be as my life is very busy. I will for sure be making a big deal about my rewrite when I'm able to devote time to it again!

Thank you for enjoying Catacombs - as much as I would sorely, direly love working on it, currently it has been (still) shelved as I have a very busy schedule. I’m self employed with making and selling 3d models, and a lot of my time is eaten up by that. 

I’ve already rewritten the story a few times in my head, it’s just a matter of finding time to actually sit down and write it. 

Hopefully I will have the time to do that eventually, but for now my career is most important. Please do subscribe to the story so you’ll be able to see whenever I am able to getting around to updating it! <3

Fantastic Parallels by Vanya_Deyja - the first ygo fanfic epic that i found and fell in love with. fantasy/modern au, incredible piece of storytelling. i have it near memorized and I still love to return to it to reread.

Bird Rock Lambchop Bigger Bird collection by Toffeecape - you want a fucking good canonverse Atem returns puzzleshipping saga to read? This here is your saint and savior. Fluff with emotional storybuilding and healthy dosage of sexy smut for dessert. Pure masterpieces. (also give their ‘Loser Tag’ collection a try as well! AU with DRAGONS)

Lineament by zuzeca - this one surprised me. one of the entries to the 2018 YGO Big Bang, I wish I had the insight to pick it as an artist. Not overly long but a hell of a strong story, wonderful bittersweet puzzleshipping with a damn good happy ending. Ancient Egypt au of a sorts but certainly not the one you’d expect.

I have other favourites as well but these three are the god-tier list. Please give them a try and be sure to send the authors love!

I somehow didn’t know you had drawn furries before, so now I have come to ask for help? I’ve never drawn furries before, but I stumbled upon some concept notes for one from ages ago, and I’ve got no idea how to draw one? The anatomy eludes me and I can’t get them looking right, mostly the faces and legs, though. Do you have any pointers or tips that could help?

XD I don’t post much furries to tumblr anymore because 89% of the furries I draw are ns4w so... I’ve posted a few censored things here or there cause I like them but most of my career has been as a furry artist so!

And with drawing furries, everyone draws them differently because everyone has their own style and personal choice on what looks ‘good’ for an anthro. Some people go mostly human with rounded faces, others go mostly animal. basically most of what makes a furry is ‘mostly-human shaped but with paws, tails/wings, and an animal head’ - but that changes depending on the person’s style and the character! 

I like to try and mix it up depending on the character for my own projects and I’m constantly trying to improve my skills. I’ve also been drawing anthros for nearly 10 years and imo I’ve only recently become ‘skilled’ enough to look at my own art and go ‘yeah, that’s pretty good!’ so it takes time and effort. I’ve seen very very many different body shapes and styles under the furry banner, so it’s really up to you to decide how ‘furry’ you want something to look.

There are tutorials you can look at all around (I only have a few saved on my tutorial blog) but most of my learning has been from using real-life animal references, and using other artists as inspiration and studying their styles.

Furaffinity is the best resource you could ask for when looking for anthro artists. The site even has a built in sfw function for if you don’t have an account, or if you do but just don’t want to see ns4w stuff. 

I’m not sure which way you’re leaning on how ‘animal’ like you want to go, but here’s some artists I like on FA (though you might not see most of their work unless you have an account there)

But between all these the style still varies wildly. It’s all up to your personal tastes! it’s hard to give pointers when what looks ‘good’ is different in everyone’s eyes. Best advice I can give is just... study anatomy of people and animals, and study styles of other people. It really helps!

Okay, so what is everyone (Atem, Yugi, and the gang) in your Fantasy AU (elves, wizards, humans, etc.)?

ahh, my fantasy au, the au that i love but might not ever actually be because i’m a procrastinating ass :’’’)

Yugi is half-elf, and hates his elf heritage. he has pointed ears but hides them under his hair, hats and hoods. you wouldn’t be able to tell hes part elf unless you looked closely at his features and saw his ears - he got his fathers shortness. he is mostly ranger class with a bit of assassin/rogue thrown in.

 elves are not all sweet and hunky dory in this au, more of the… extreme emotions and borderline elderich humanoid beings. theyre still respected and long lived and powerful, but typically humans and elfkind do not mingle because of pure emotional and longetivity difficulties. elves feel emotions much more strongly than humans do, and thus try to keep themselves cool and cold so they’re less destructive. 

for example: yugi’s human father was drafted into a stupid human war, and was killed. in her grief and rage, yugi’s mother single handedly destroyed the battlefield and nearly all of both sides of the war, and in the end her own magic and grief destroyed herself as well. yugi was raised by his human grandfather, and is still very young by elf standards. 

Jou is mostly human, a mixed breed of multiple magical hereditaries that even he doesn’t know all of what’s in there. but it gives him some good (and not so good) buffs, so he doesn’t care. he’s proud of his bloodlines - mostly. he is warrior class.

Honda is all human, but raised in a family of hunters and rangers and wildsmen. he’s very good at what he does and is the best provider for when theyre on the road. he is hunter/ranger class.

Anzu is mostly human with a bit of sylvan (fairy) on her grandmother’s side, mostly apparent in her physical lightness and swiftness (she weights half as much as you’d think she did) and is quite attuned to nature. she doesn’t have wings but has no fear of heights and a near unshakeable balance, and can land like a cat from heights that would break a man’s leg - and she has one hell of a vengeful streak. she is cleric class, but a physical cleric and not healing either. her kicks hurt.

Ryou is a friend they picked up later along the way, doesn’t travel with the geek squad too much due to his line of work. he’s human? or so he claims, and nothing has disproved that yet, though with that white hair the gang suspects he’s got something in his blood somewhere that’s not human. he is healing cleric, but with a dark habit of borderline necromancy he likes to dabble in. no sentient species involved (as of yet)

Atem, however, is not of their world whatsoever. he’s more akin to god than anything in their world, as well as Atem’s entire civilization and people are. he’s something like Maiar, from the LotR universe. mostly human in appearance aside from their eyes, which glow at all times (and their bewildering beauty), and unconsiously radiates an intimidating power that they are wholeheartedly unaware of as their world does not have ‘humans’ as they are in them. He is battle mage/sorcerer class.

extremely powerful in magic, atem - and his entire home city - was brought to yugi’s world through a tear in the fabric of the universes and badly sewn in through dark magic, the being called Zorc (once a fellow maiar) attacking Atem’s people in an attempt to absorb them and their magic to give him enough strength to tangle and tear all worlds together and rule them all, or destroy them trying.
