A3! Song Translation - Third Impact
Tumblr media Tumblr media
TRANSLATION:
There is no shortage of rivals
Immediately lock on and assault
I won't let you get bored
We're facing each other
Don't assimilate into the past
Cut them apart, together
I'll give you one shot
Even if I have to be forceful
Whatever "we were like" doesn't matter
Let's just change only what lies ahead from now on
Everytime I repaint it, I feel it become an original piece with its unique charm
The Third Impact (oneXone)
Far away from what we've left behind
We're going beyond and moving forward
Can't stop now
Growing pain again
For some reason, the voice from that time is still ringing in my head
Growing pain again
We didn't make a single mistake that day
The downward swings have slowed down
Focus on the mistakes
A chance to get ahead
Keeping watch for the right opportunity
It's not about the appeal of momentum to start a gunfight
Shall we deliver some legit breaking news?
This time it's not just for show
We will be above the regression
Let's dance freely and go wild
The final scene we got was
the first one we drew
Let this be the proof (oneXone)
That there is no looking back
But by facing it, you can overcome the pain
From now on, engrave the future
(Don't ever lie to yourself
Give up you motherfucker
Shout it out to the world
You gotta break through the walls here we go)
(Yaah)
Don't ever let me down
(Yeah)
Did you ever get the feeling?
(Yeah, Don't ever let me down, Yeah)
(Did you ever get the feeling?)
Are you ready?
Everytime I repaint it, I feel it become an original piece with its unique charm
The Third Impact (oneXone)
Far away from what we've left behind
We're going beyond and moving forward
Can't stop now
Growing pain again
For some reason, the voice from that time is still ringing in my head

Undead Unluck Characters and Their Puns
This is gonna be a very long post so please bear with me, guys. I love languages and this is my domain so.
I will only add the appropriate information for the puns depending on how simple or complex it is.
List will be based on their negation ability reveals (or introductions, I'm inconsistent) up until the latest chapter so anime-onlys be warned!
Fūko Izumo (出雲風子, Izu-mo Fuu-ko)
Unluck (不運, fu-un)
Her pun is rather simple. The kanji 雲, meaning cloud, can be read as "un", while 風, meaning wind, is straightforward in the fact that it sounds similar to "fu" as in 不.
Simply put, her name can be read as "Fu-Un" just like her ability!
There's also the bonus cloud + wind combo.
Andy (アンディ, Andi)
Undead (アンデッド, andeddo)
This one is already explained by Fūko lol.
Void Volks (ボイド・ボルクス, Boido Borukusu)
Unavoidable
Avoid.
Gina Chamber (ジーナ • チェンバー, Jiina Chenbaa)
Unchange (アンチェンジ, anchenji)
Hers is actually a really fun one. It got my head scratching until I read the manga in Japanese lol.
Simply reverse it into "Chamber Gina" then cut out the first syllable of each name. "Chen" and "Ji", which becomes "Chenji" as in "Change"!
Rip Tristan (リップ • トリスタン, Rippu Torisutan)
Unrepair
Rip as in the "rip-air" in "repair".
Top Bull Sparx (トップ • ブル • スパークス, Toppu Buru Supaakusu)
Unstoppable
Stop.
Tatiana (タチアナ, Tachiana)
Untouchable (アンタッチャブル, antacchaburu)
"Tachi" in "Tachiana" is a pun for "Tacchi" as in "Touch"!
Chikara Shigeno (重野力, Shige-no Chikara)
Unmove (不動, fudou )
His is also very fun, I only noticed it during the undercover high school arc where his name was written in Ryo's notebook and Nico held it up.
The kanji for move is 動 which consists of the kanji 重 from his surname and 力 from his first name.
This one is really smart, actually.
Akira Kuno (久能 明, ku-nou akira) / Un Anno (安野雲, an-no un)
Unknown (不明, fumei )
His first name of "Akira"'s kanji (明) can be read as "mei" as in "fumei".
Un Anno has already been explained within the story, it just sounds like "unknown".
Sean Datz (ション • ダッツ, shon dattsu)
Unseen
Sean looks like "seen", that's the whole pun. But the "depre-sean" and "damna-sean" jokes really get me lol.
Lucy (ルーシー, ruushii)
Unhealthy (アンヘルシー, anherushii)
Still debatable if it was a joke or she's an actual negator. But considering how she can astral project and see other's astral projection, and Nico (when his ability hasn't manifested) couldn't, it's more likely she is one.
"Ruushii" from "anherushii".
Nico Vorgeil (ニコ • フォーゲイル, niko fougeiru)
Unforgettable
Vorgeil sounds like Forget.
I honestly thought he was named Nico as in "Nicotine" because he smoked a lot. Turns out he was named after Nikola Tesla. Oops.
Ichico Nemuri (イチコ • ネムリ)
Unsleep
I love hers so much. Her name is written entirely in katakana instead of kanji, which means it can be read in multiple ways.
The "Ichi" in "Ichico" can be read as "one" as a counterpart to the "Ni" in "Nico" which can mean "two". Add them together, and you can get "three", which can be "Mi-tsu" and the "Mi" as in "Mico"!
Nemuri on its own can be read as "眠り", which means "to sleep" but it can also be read as a combination of "nemu" (sleeping) and "muri" (impossible/unreasonable) which means "unable to sleep".
Backs/Bunny (バックス, bakkusu)
Unback
We don't really have much info but it's obvious the "backs" is from "back".
Phil Hawkins (フィル • ホーキンス, firu houkinsu)
Unfeel (アンフィール, anfiiru )
Phil. Feel. Mind blown.
Tella (テラー, teraa )
Untell
Tella.
Characters I haven't figured out the pun yet or unsure about:
• Shen Xiang (シェン • シアン, shen shian) - Untruth
I'd say it's because it sounds similar but not really to "shin" as in 真 meaning truth?
• Mui (ムイ) - Untruth
It could be "mu" as in "none"? Because she's not a negator or... Something else.
• Juiz d'Arc (ジュイズ • ダルク, juizu daruku) - Unjustice (アンジャスティス, anjasutizu)
I guess it's because of anjasutizu?? Not sure.
• Creed Deckard (クリード • デッカード, kuriido dekkaado) - Undecrease (デクリーズ, dekuriizu)
My best bet is "de" from his surname and "kurii" from his first name, but then that makes it "dekurii" instead. So idk.
• Sadako Kurusu (来栖 貞子, Kuru-su Sada-ko) / Kururu (クルル) - Unchaste
I really don't know. Except maybe the "kuru" in her name means "arrive" as in her targets rushing onto her?
• Yusai (友才) - Undraw
Exposing myself as a fake fan because I have no idea.
• Isshin (一心) / Haruka Yamaoka (山岡 春歌, yama-oka haru-ka)
I might be stupid.
• Billy Alfred (ビリー • アルフレッド, birii arufureddo) - Unfair/Unbelievable
The only possibility I could think of is because readers were told that his ability was "unbelievable". I can't really find a connection between his name and "unfair". Unless it's the fact that his name doesn't have a pun, hence breaking the status quo of having name puns, that makes it unfair. But maybe I'm just reaching.
• Feng Kowloon (ファン • クローン, fan kuroon) - Unfade
I keep on accidentally reading his name as "fan clone" and I can't figure out a pun (if that was even one) other than that...
• Latla Mirah (ラトラ • ミラー, ratora miraa) - Untrust (アントラスト, antorasuto)
It could be the "tora" in "ratora" as in "torasuto". But I'm not really sure.
• Enjin (円陣, en-jin) Unburn
Enjin sounds like "engine", yeah, but I can't really see the pun.
• Victor (ヴィクター, vikutaa) - Undead
I'm not even sure if there is a pun here other than "victor" as in "victory" as in "winner".
Bonus:
The logo for "Under" is literally just the 不 kanji flipped upside down.
Idc about Ruin.

*emerges out of the mist* I heard something about gender in Amatakka. Please, tell me everything, I want to hear your take on it (can you tell this is also my special interest?)
*falls out of a tree and floats gracefully back and forth several times before alighting on the ground like a leaf* part of this explanation is in my spreadsheet but there's so much more detail and reasoning to talk about.
ok so I started from the claim that there are four accepted genders among Amavikka people (which is a whole other conversation about how if you make a third/fourth gender accepted and normal in a culture you might eventually get a queer bitch (me) going "I need a fifth gender so i can disrupt this paradigm"), female, male, nonbinary, and genderfluid.
introductions
Fialleril said the introductions have a gender particle? word? thing? attached to them. It goes "Ek masa nu [name] [gender particle]." Which is probably best translated as, "I am named [name], [pronouns]."
Feminine: Ek masa nu Shmi ku. 3rd Gender: Ek masa nu Anakin ki. Masculine: Ek masa nu Owen Lars ka. Fluid: Ek masa nu Ekkreth kai.*
*Note: I have seen others use ke for the fluid gender, but I like kai because it's a pun on kai meaning "yes," ala, "What are your pronouns?" "Yes."
Also I said the fluid option could choose to do a "Ek masa nu [name] kai [other gender particle]," to indicate their current pronouns. More casually, maybe you could say, "Ek masa kai [other particle]." or "Ek [other particle]." (I have a thing about how you can drop any subject pronoun in a sentence except "ek," so that's about as short as it can get)
gender assumption
But anyway, the general concept of these gender particles means that it's immediately evident upon introduction what pronouns & gendered words the person you're talking to uses, which is really cool, but it still leaves the gap of people that you haven't been introduced to, if you forgot someone's pronouns, if you haven't seen someone in a long time and their pronouns could've changed, if your genderfluid friend hasn't told you what gender they're feeling today, etcetera. Basically, there are still lots of situations where you wouldn't know someone's gender.
I haven't introduced grammatical gender (ala french where nouns have gender that affects what articles you use), but since people have gender, and that affects both adjectives and verbs, that means that there has to be a choice made about what gender is assumed when you don't know someone's gender.
In English we are blessed to have singular they available to use for both unknown gender and (the majority of) nonbinary people, but I didn't want to make the assumption that this overlap was the same in Amatakka.
Instead what I landed on is that the feminine forms are assumed in the case of unknown gender, for two reasons. First, I think it presents more of a different look at gender to have the third gender not be associated with neutrality at all. Second, in the mythology we get Ar-amu, a woman, as the most foundational figure, as well as the story keepers being called Grandmothers in general despite the lack of any apparent prohibition on men or 3rd gender ppl taking on the role. Point being, Fialleril has already introduced the feminine as the assumptive gender.
translating gender
This creates an interesting little translation tidbit when translating back to english, where if you said, say,
"Zeechev masabu Mos Espa sip. Shu masabu uumanu*," -> "A stranger is in Mos Espa. They are human." --an imagined statement about Qui-Gon Jinn in the phantom menace
*i decided just now that human, and most other species, are probably cognates with other languages in Amatakka, hence uuman is the base form of the adjective "human"
you actually are translating "shu" (she) in Amatakka into singular they in English. If someone actually knew Qui-Gon and knew he was a man they would use the masculine pronoun, conjugation and agreement,
"Qui-gon masaba Mos Espa sip. Sha masaba uumana." -> "Qui-Gon is in Most Espa. He is human."
Talking about Padme being in Mos Espa, you would use the feminine form if you didn't know her gender, and then continue to use it once you found out she was a woman.
For the plural, there's just one third person pronoun for all three genders regardless of the make up of the group being talked about, which would translate as plural they in english. It's "shun," which is obviously using the feminine "shu" as a base.
So going back to the 3rd gender pronouns, it wouldn't be incorrect to translate them (the subject pronoun is "shi") as singular they/them since those cover a range of non-binary genders in English, but because I specifically don't really want the 3rd gender in Amatakka to be associated with neutrality at all, I usually translate 3rd gender pronouns as ze/zir neopronouns.
disrespectful form
There is also the disrespectful form, used to talk about slavers (depuran) and other people who actively uphold the system of slavery, and (sometimes) people who are in keekta-du or depukreta type situations, which isn't gendered at all in the pronouns, conjugation, or agreement, though of course other gendered words are still relevant to those people. The disrespectful form would be translated to English as whatever gender that person would usually use.
"Jabba Hutt reeue du. Sur masue du Amavikke." -> "Jabba the Hutt doesn't fly. He is not Amavikka."
The reason I'm actually attached to the disrespectful form as a concept is because of the "sometimes" I mentioned with depukreta people. Specifically because it means that by the end of Return of the Jedi, where another Amavikka person might say,
"Darth Vader masur depukrete," -> "Darth Vader is a chain-healer."
Luke would say,
"Shi masabi depukretu." -> "He is a chain-healer."
Ergo his decision to try and redeem Anakin would be evident even down to his word choice.
inanimate objects
Oh also there's a separate pronouns, conjugations, and agreements for inanimate objects
Anyway this has been a lecture on gender and other things that function in the same area of grammar in Amatakka, according to me. i hope it all made sense. if anyone feels like asking me more questions about this or has their own opinions about Amatakka i will include you in my will

Namor x Black OC
Tumblr media
Hate That I Love you..
Slow burn, enemies to lovers, unhinged behavior, sexual content but later on in the chapter also slight changes to the gods I talk about in the story, this is all for fun and fiction.
Warnings: Possessive behavior, oral sex,
Obsessive behavior, stalking, dark Namor
Nakeya’s Pov
Age: 10
“Mother, tell me a story.” I ask as my mother brushes my long black hair. “Which one?” My mother asks. “Tell me about how the goddess Hunab-Ku.”
“Ah, I should’ve known, you love that story. Come lay on my lap and let me set the scene.” I lay down and hear her hum a sweet melody.
“It is said that she was the priestess of Talong, a kind and loving woman. But her people were dictators and ruthless rulers. The king was her younger brother and he was the opposite, he wanted war, he wanted chaos and he wanted to rule with an iron fist. If he had it his way he would have ruled all of Talong, Talokan, and Wakanda. She couldn’t stand there and watch the king shed more blood of innocent people, so instead she prayed to the gods and they had answered her prayer by giving her the flower of life. And with that she crushed the flower and consumed it giving her the gifts of controlling the water and the creature that inhabit it. Before the king could invade Talokan she had drown him and his army. She made the remaining people of Talong promise that they would not raise a hand of war to the surrounding nations. For if they did, the priestess would unleash her wrath among them. The people soon after called her Hunab-Ku, the goddess of water. She had lived over one thousand years, and passed down her gift to her child, and that child passed down that gift to theirs. And so on and so on.”
“Mother, will I be like her? Will I keep the peace among the nations?” I ask my mother. She leaned down and kissed my temple gentle. “My little one, you will do great things for this nation. For it was told before you were born.” I smile at her words and raise my pointer finger causing the water in my cup to swirl and dance on the ceiling. “I hope I will be the best priestess to this nation.” I whisper as the water forms into a flower…
🐢🐢🐢
Four hundred years later…
“Tet-uke! Ride the wave!” I tell my racing turtle as I catch up to my brother. “Nakeya you won’t win! Just go back to mother and read your boring books!” Ordain taunts as he gets a further lead in the race.
“You’re going to eat those words.” I hiss as I take a calm breathe. I feel the waves under me jump high and I raise my hands. The water crashes down on Ordain and I win by default. He comes up for air and I kiss Tet-uke on her head. “Good girl.”
“You cheated!” Ordain yells as he comes up for air. “Cheated? I did no such thing you never said no powers.” I say with a smirk. “That was implied Nakeya! I want a rematch!”
“Name the time and place you big baby.” Ordain flares his nose at me and before I could retort we both yell in pain as we hear our mothers siren song.
“Let’s go.” Ordain winces as he dives under water. I click my tongue and Tet-Uke dives down. I sign to Ordain that we don’t tell our mother that we were turtle racing, and he signs back that he’s not stupid. He won’t tell anything.
As we get to the throne room, we both kneel before our mother as she stops her siren song. “Why are both of you so winded? Were you two racing above the surface again?”
“No mother.” I lie. She gives Ordain a raised brow. “Yes, mo-“
“You snitch!” I snap at him. Our mother clicks her tongue and I go silent. “Ordain, go put on your ceremonial clothes and meet your father in the emerald room. And as for you?” My mother grabbed my ear making me wince.
“Mother, mother. Mother please, you’ll rip my ear off.” I beg. “You come with me we have much to prepare.” As I walk with my mother she lets my ear go and Ordain gives an apologetic shrug. I rub my ear and roll my eyes at him.
“Mother, do I have to be part of the dinner? I’ve never came before.” I ask her. “Yes, Nakeya. This is very important. Your father is having this dinner as an olive branch to the leader of Talokan. Our people may have been in peace for many years but there is still animosity. Now, you will put on your ceremonial dress and be on your best behavior. And Nakeya?”
“Yes mother?” I ask as we stand in front of my door. “Behave yourself. No water magic and Tet-uke stays in her stable.” I sigh defeated. “I will behave, I promise.” I say as I cross my fingers behind my back. “I saw that.” My mother says as she goes to swat my ear. I duck and run into my room.
In there I see Via smiling. “So we have to put on the corset?” She nods knowing how much pain it is going to cause me. “Can I pay you in gold to not put that on me?”
I take very small breathes as I try to breath in my tight dress. My chest seem to swell in the top. “If the leader of Talokan is blind, he is going to see clear as day when he sees me in this dress.” I mutter as I make my way to the emerald room.
I open the doors and see someone standing there, they turn as they heard me and I freeze. “Where is everyone?” I whisper as I enter the room. The person I seen was a man. He had a gold chest plate on his body, heavy emerald earrings with a matching nose piece. I look down and I see wings on his ankles.
He seemed to study me as I entered the room and I bow my head slightly. “You must be the priestess of Talong.” He speaks in a gentle tone. I look up at him and my throat becomes dry.
“You’re beautiful.” I blurt out. I see his lip twitch into a smile and I recover quickly. “How do you know I am the priestess?”
“Because your eyes are as Grey as stone and your tribal markings…they are unique to Hunab-Ku.” I feel myself blush and bite my bottom lip. “And you must be K’uk’ulkan, I’ve heard many stories about you from when I was little.”
His eyes trail down my body which only makes me bite my lip a bit harder. “And what stories have you heard, little priestess?” He asks as he takes a step towards me.
I swallow hard, hating that I can’t breathe properly. “I heard that to your people you are a god, you have protected Talokan for many years and you want to have peace like my father.”
He nods and he reaches out, moving a lock of my hair behind my ear. His touch made my skin burn in a way I couldn’t describe, but I wanted him to touch me more, I wanted him.
“You know little priestess, I’ve heard how powerful you are. And I must say your beauty in person can not be described in words.” He leans in close causing his breathe to tickle my ear. I swallow a moan and when our eyes meet, I knew he would either love me or ruin me so that no other man could satisfy me.
The doors behind us open and K’uk’ulkan moved away from me quickly. And looked past me. “Ah, my friend, I see you’ve met my daughter, the priestess.” My father says on a boastful tone. K’uk’ulkan smiles and walks past me to greet my father. I turn and see Ordain giving me a look but I ignore him.
My mother motions me over and we sit down at the long table. My father and mother both sitting at the head, my brother sitting beside me. Two of K’uk’ulkan’s guards stood behind him and he sat right in front of me.
His eyes did glance at my chest and I find myself sitting up straight to give him a view. “Don’t be such a Kaaye' dorado.” (Gold fish) Ordain hissed in my ear. I kick his leg under the table and he jerks back in pain.
Our mother gives us a glare and we both straighten. I mouth my sorry to her and I sit there listening to the boring conversation between my father and K’uk’ulkan.
“…I have many plans for this union King Odess. And to have our two nations join together as allies would not only strengthen our numbers but would prolong the life of the people. Especially if we combine our vibranium together.”
“Yes, Talong and Talokan would benefit greatly. But since Wakanda had revealed themselves it is rumored that the land dwellers are trying to seek if there is more vibranium. And they are now searching the waters. I am sure King K’uk’ulkan that you would agree that that isn’t a wise idea to allow this. Or for them to discover us. We must act now and keep both of now nations as such, a secret.” He nods in agreement with my father.
“Mm, I have also heard that there may be a device helping the land dwellers to find our vibranium. That must be destroyed. I have put my strongest warriors together and I would like to invite you and your people to join our forces on the front lines.”
“Wouldn’t that be a barbaric idea?” I speak, causing my parents and brother to give me a dirty look. “I apologize for my daughter’s outburst, I have spoiled her and allowed her to speak her mind when no one has asked.” My father says as he takes a drink.
“It is fine. I like compelling conversations. What would you suppose we do, priestess?” K’uk’ulkan asks as he stares deep into my eyes. I glance at my parents and then back at him. He nods letting me know to speak.
“I believe that in union of the two nations would be a great idea but the resources we have can help keep peace. Our people have lived over thousands of years, we have no illness. We have a way to help those on the surface. I want them to understand that the vibranium we have here shouldn’t be weaponized. But put to better use. I know that the goddess would want that for not just Talong, but for your nation as well, King K’uk’ulkan.”
He looks at me and as he was about to speak my father laughs breaking whatever words I had spoken into pieces. “Nakeya, you live in a fairytale, and I do envy that. Now king K’uk’ulkan, I would like to speak more about my people joining the frontline.”
I look down at my fingers keeping back the tears, because I know the goddess in me doesn’t like the talk of war, she wants to prolong the peace.
I hear my mother clear her throat and I look at her. “King K’uk’ulkan, I’m sure that the priestess would like to show you her gift.” She nods and I stand.
“If everyone is done with their drinks, I would like to show you all a vision I had last night.” I take a calm breathe and feel my eyes roll back. The liquid in everyone cups rises up and I move my hands to orchestrate the liquid in my image.
“I saw a nation, a nation where the ancestors would be proud.” I smile and the liquid turns into a great big kingdom. I glance around the room and everyone was in awe.
When my eyes rest on him, he was staring at me. Not like a magician, but he was staring at me as if I was the answers to his prayers. I feel my magic shift a bit and it swirled around him making sea flowers dance around his head. He smiles at that and I raise my hands to help the liquid disperse into the air. Everyone claps and I bow to thank them.
As I sit back down I hear my father call to King K’uk’ulkan. “Now that the party tricks have been displayed, I would like you to invite you and my son to talk in a more private setting.” The three of them stand and leave the room. I look after K’uk’ulkan and sigh. “Nakeya, come. Let us go do your studies.” I feel myself try to slouch as she mentions my studies to me. “Yes mother.”
🐢🐢🐢
“Finally I can take off that corset, thank the goddesses.” I say as I stretch my torso and take a deep breathe. I’ve been studying for the last three hours and I decided to take a break. Via had peeked into my room for a moment. “My priestess would you like anything?”
“No I am fine, Via. Tell me are they still talking in the private room?” She shakes her head. “No, King K’uk’ulkan has left and the our king is in his chambers with the queen.” For some reason it made me a bit sad that he left without saying goodbye to me.
Then again who am I to expect him to say goodbye to me?
“Ah, well I’ll just take a break and get back to studying, thank you Via. If I need anything I’ll call for you.” She bows and leaves my room. I sit back in my chair, bitting my thumb nail thinking about how I can get out of studying.
Tap tap tap
My head snaps to the left and I see a dark figure outside my window. I gather water and create a spear, ready to defend myself.
I peek out the window and lower my spear. K’uk’ulkan bows and I open my window. “I thought you left.” I say to him as I splash my water spear away. He gives smirk. “How could I leave without wishing you a farewell, little priestess?” He leans in and I feel a blush on my brown cheeks.
“You know the king doesn’t respect you.” He comments. “My father is a good man, complicated, but a good man.” I say defending him. “Are you sure? He dismisses your title, he tears down your dreams of peace. If you were mine, I would treat you as such.” He says to me.
If you were mine. I repeat those words in my head and feel my heart flutter.
“Treat me like a little priestess?” I say teasing. “I would treat you like a goddess. Because that is who you are. I would never allow someone to disrespect you let alone treat your gifts as if they were mere tricks.” He says as he studies my face.
I suddenly feel small in front of him and I twiddle my fingers. “Don’t do that.” I say looking down. He lifts my chin making me look at him. “Don’t do what?”
“Make me feel important. Make me feel as if I can do anything. I know the goddess is inside of me. She is strong, but I don’t feel strong.” I try to look away from him but he doesn’t allow it. “I see a strong goddess, I see a ruler, a queen, and if you’ll allow, I see you as mine. And my gift to you is to give you the peace that you crave. There will not be another drop of blood after the gathering. I promise you that.”
I swallow hard. “How can you promise me that? How could anyone promise me that?” He strokes my cheek and rubs his thumb over my bottom lip. “Because I know I can keep that promise. And you’re worth keeping that promise to, my little goddess.” He leans in and I feel my eyes flutter close, waiting for his lips to meet mine.
But the kiss never comes to my lips. Instead of kissing my lips, he kissed my forehead. “When I keep your promise I will kiss your lips. I must go back to Talokan now.” He whispers against my head. He moves back and I nod as he leaves
in the shadows.
“Until next time my little goddess.” I hear his whisper and I watch until he is gone. “His little goddess…I like the sound of that.” I say with a smile gently playing across my lips.
🐢🐢🐢🐢
“I don’t like the thoughts of you out there on the front lines, Nakeya.” My mother tells me ask she takes my dark hair and braids it back into a crown. “Mother we’ve spoken about this, father wants me to come only so I can keep anyone from dying. I should be grateful that he sees me as such.” My mother lifts my chin after she tucks my braid in.
“Little one, I don’t want you to think you have to please your father just to have peace. You can always tell him you don’t want to go.” She leans her head against mine and I close my eyes. “Mother, if this is how I can help then this is how I do so. Besides, I have these gifts. Why not use them.” My mother kisses my cheeks and calls Via over. “She is ready for her tribal face marks. And Via be sure to tell Aya that he is to make sure my children and husband don’t get caught in bloodshed.”
“Yes my queen, I will send the message.” She tells her as I sit still for my marks. In my gut, I knew this wasn’t the way. I know we could get the land dwellers away from our vibranium without hurting them. But my pleading has gone on deaf ears.
I meet my father and brother in the ready chambers along with our best warriors and I take a few deep breathes. “Ready to go see your boyfriend?” Ordain asks as he makes kissing noises. I narrow my eyes at him and flick my finger causing him to trip on water. “Hey!”
“Enough you two! Nakeya up front.” I march up to my father and he takes me aside. “How are you feeling?” He asks me. “I am fine.” He gives me a look and points to my fingers as I twirl them. I drop my hands by my sides and he gives a chuckle.
“You know your great grandfather use to do that. Whenever he was nervous he would play with his hands. He said if his hands weren’t playing together they would have caused the Talon nation to fall. I know I don’t treat you like your brother. But I want you to know you are my greatest treasure.” I look up at my father in shock.
“Don’t be shocked, Nakeya. I know you want peace but this is necessary. You haven’t seen these land dwellers. They are savages, they mind the golds of their lands and they kill each other for them. This is for the nations. This is a good thing.”
“Father, I understand where you are coming from. But I just know if we can show the land dwellers the right way, the nations could be stronger. I know it.” He touches my cheek and nods. “When we get back, I would like to hear your ideas.” I smile at him. “I look forward to this talk, father.” He nods and gives a smile. He turns and that is when the other warriors enter the room. I look past them seeing, king K’uk’ulkan. I haven’t spoken to him since the night we first met which have been a few days.
When I look at him all I want is for him to make me his. I crave his attention and I feel that he has bewitched my dreams ever since that day. I even imagine his kiss on my lips. I stare at him longingly and I feel a light shove to my shoulder and I turn to see Ordain. “Stop staring it’s creepy.”
“You’re one to talk. Akari said she’s hoping you lose a leg so you don’t approach her any longer.” Ordain scoffs at this. “She’s just playing hard to get. Careful little sister, she’s going to be your sister-in-law soon.” I roll my eyes. “Then I’ll take your leg just to protect the poor girl. I’ve seen how you look after a long nap, ugh it’s not pretty.” Ordain puts me in a headlock and I jab him in his rib cage making him yelp. Everyone looks at us and we quickly stop.
I see King K’uk’ulkan looking at me and my heart skips a beat. He looks away quickly and I wonder if I did anything wrong…
🐢🐢🐢
We were all in position. Waiting in the dark of the ocean. As the land dwellers continue with their search, I could feel Tet-uke become restless. I coo her and stroke her head. “I know, the waters do not like this. And you can feel it. Soon there will be peace. I know it.” I kiss her head and we dive under the water.
I swim with Aya by my side and we get close to the massive ship. Namora had signed to us to now do our siren song. I look back at my father and brother as they moved across the waters and my eyes land on him. He was looking at me and I feel my chest swell.
Our heads quietly break surface and our siren song rings for every land dweller to hear. They stop what they are doing immediately and one by one they drop into the waters.
I hear the warriors break the device that the land dwellers were using to help them find the vibranium. More land dwellers crash into the water and I feel calm. But that feeling lasted only a second.
Somehow some of the land dwellers hadn’t heard the siren song and started to shoot at us. We duck in the water and I click my tongue to tell Tet-uke to go under the ship.
I hum and more sea creatures answer my call. I raise my hands and they begin to slam into the ship causing it to tip on it’s side.
“Jump ship!”
“Over board!”
“Swim!”
The land dwellers scream out. Two had manage to get into an air craft, ready to leave. “They mustn’t get away to tell anyone about us!” I hear my father scream.
I open my mouth and release my wrathful cry. Causing the waters to shake. Under me I feel the slick tentacles of my greatest creation. I click my tongue twice and his tentacles shoot out of the water grabbing the air craft out of the sky.
I blow in the water and my kraken snaps it in half and eats it. I shut my eyes hearing the land dwellers screams of mercy.
As our people make sure each land dweller has drowned, I find Aya frozen still in the water. “What?” I look where he is looking and he grabs me. “My priestess, please do not look, for I have failed you.” I push away from him and I see my brother holding something in his arms.
“No, no, no, no.” I feel my entire body become cold as I see my father’s lifeless body. “Ordain, bring him to me! I can save him!” I yell. I see the sadness in my brothers eyes and I rush to him. Grabbing at my father.
I feel a pair of arms wrap around me and I let out a cry. “Let me go, I can save him! Please!” I scream in agony as I look into my father’s lifeless eyes. “Shh. I am sorry my goddess. Your father fought like a great warrior. And his life was cut short. We must mourn our fallen now.” K’uk’ulkan whispers in my ear. I cling to him and bury my face in his neck. “I can save him..” I say as my vision blurs. “I know…I know Nakeya.” He says as he holds me.
🐢🐢🐢
It has been over a month since the loss of our people and the loss of our king, and the pain still feels fresh. My mother has loss much weight, my brother is to be next in line but he doesn’t want it. As for me?
I feel nothing now. I am numb. As the nations mourn with us, I just nod, telling them thank you for coming. I don’t want to speak anymore so I excuse myself and go sit in my fathers chair in his private study.
“We might not have been close, but I’d lie if I said it didn’t hurt that I won’t see you anymore.” I say as I inhale my fathers scent. I sit there in silence take a shaky breathe.
I don’t want to feel sadness, or pain. I need to push my emotions down the furthest pit and watch them whither away and die with my people, with my father.
“I figured you’d be alone.” I jump and look up to see K’uk’ulkan standing beside me. “I didn’t hear you come in. I apologize.” He shakes his head. “No need, you are hurt and I didn’t want to interrupt….” He kneels down so that we are both eye to eye.
“I will keep my promise to you. You do remember it correct?” I nod and wipe a tear that had threatened to slip down my cheek. “I remember.” I whisper. He touches my wet cheek and he searches my eyes.
“I wish I could’ve been more help. So that you’d wouldn’t cry.” I give him a sad smile. “You know, I keep playing that moment in my head, how I could’ve saved him, or how if I had been fast enough. I know we mourn and then we let their spirits go into the heavens with our ancestors, but I am selfish. I do not want him to go. I don’t want to let this go. I want revenge, I want the land dwellers to pay for what they have done to us. I was wrong to think they could be peaceful.” I hiss.
He touches my hand and I calm a bit. “Land dwellers are nothing but a cancer to the world. When the mourning period is over I would like to propose a plan to secure our waters. But I will not go forward until I get your blessing.”
“Why me?” I ask. “The way you can control the waters to your whim, the way the creatures of the sea obey your words. I would be a fool to go against you, little goddess.” I smile at his words and he seems to stare a bit too long.
“I have something for you. In case you ever need me…” He takes out a conch shell and hands it to me. “Just blow on this and I will come to you no matter what.”
“Why are you so kind to me?” I look up at him from the conch shell and my throat dries because he looks as if he wants to take me away. “Did you know that my people were once land dwellers? I know, it’s a very shameful thing to say right now, but when my mother had passed, she wanted to be buried on her native land. So I granted her wish, a few of my people and I had walked on the land and there we saw the land dwellers. They were not inviting to us, in fact they attacked us. And so I did what I had to do. I’ll spare you the details of the massacre. When all was done, there was only one man left. He looked at me and called me a child without love, and with one strike, I had ended his life. When it comes to my people I am their god, I am K’uk’ulkan. But to my enemies, I am Namor. I am kind to you because I can see myself in you. We both want justice for our people, we both want peace, we both…”
He leans in close and pulls me in. “…want our nations to be joined together and become something great.” He whispers against my lips.
He places his hand on the back of my neck and he pulls me close. Our lips touch and I sigh into the kiss.
At first the kiss was gentle and sweet, but it turned into hunger and passion. It was as if we couldn’t get the distance between us any shorter.
He sucks on my tongue and I moan, clenching my fingers in his hair. He picks me up off of the chair and sits down, having me straddle his lap. I feel his erection against my clit and I groan moving my hips. He holds them in place and I feel him grin against my lips.
“Such a greedy little goddess. Do not worry I will give you all of me.” He says as he presses his erection against me harder. I open my mouth to give a ghost of a moan. “Shh, we must be quiet. Let them mourn while I worship you.” He moans as he allows me to pleasure myself on his erected cock. He grabs the back of my head and yanks it back, exposing my neck to him.
He gently bites and I let out a groan. “Let me worship your body, let me be your only pleasure my goddess. No one else can have you, no one else can even look at you. You’re mine.” He bites harder and I grab onto him, humping him harder. “I’m gonna cum.” I moan out loud.
“That’s it, I want your orgasm. But not this way.” He yanks me up and he knees before me. I try to stand but my knees and legs are weak. “I’ve got you.” He whispers as he lifts my dress above my belly button. I feel his mustache tickle my pubic hair and his breathe caresses my clit.
“A follower gets on their knees for their god when they want to worship them. I get on my knees for you so you can speak tongues to yours.” He lifts my leg, placing it on his shoulder and my eyes roll back as he twirls his tongue against my clit. I grip his hair and throw my head back.
I buck my hips fast, feeling my orgasm build up again. Just as he predicted, I start speaking in tongues as he fucks me with his tongue. He grabs onto my ass as he licks me faster. I look down and he was staring at me with lust in his eyes.
I stutter that I’m coming and he keeps pace making my body shake violently. I feel him give one more suck and I moan out his name, falling into his arms.
He licks his lips and leans down to kiss me. I taste myself on him and suck his tongue causing him to moan. I place my hand on his chest and I feel a shock to my body. My eyes roll back and I see K’uk’ulkan in front of my father.
It was the day his life was cut short. I was watching through K’uk’ulkan’s eyes. “They mustn’t get away to tell anyone about us!” I see my father yell. I then see a stone blade in K’uk’ulkan’s hand and he grabs my father shoulder, impaling the blade deep into his chest. The chaos of everything going on made this is perfect time for this act of betrayal. The gasp my father gave made me want to throw up.
“W…why?” My father whispered. “Because this nation only needs one king.” He removes the blade from his chest and lets it drop in the water. My father tries to hold it together. “My daughter will end you! You demon!” K’uk’ulkan leans in close to my father. “I’m not worried about your daughter, she will soon be my wife and we will rule over this nation. It’s a shame you won’t see her vision come true.” And with that he snapped his neck killing him quickly.
I gasp out of the vision and I push myself away from him. “Are you okay?” He reached out to me and I jerk back but remain calm. “I am fine, I just remembered my mother asked me to help her with the burning ceremony. Thank you for the distraction.” I turn and before I take a step he grabs my wrist and it took all my strength not to snatch it away from him. “Don’t forget this.” He hands me the conch shell and I take it. “Thank you.”
“I meant what I said, call me anytime and I will come to you.” He says as he releases my wrist. I nod and leave. I try not to run out away from him but I manage to get to my room. I throw the conch shell and wipe my lips angrily.
I keep getting flashes of my father’s betrayed face. The blooded blade falling in the ocean. My fathers neck breaking. Before I knew it I had felt my knees give out and I threw up. I wipe my mouth and I scream in anger. I just had that monster touch me intimately, the same monster who murdered my father.
Via had ran into my room and she saw me angry cry. “I know my priestess, we all miss the king.” She had helped me up and told the servants to clean up my floor. She had drawn a bath for me and I didn’t even feel the hot water on my skin.
“I’ve got it Via.” I tell her. She leaves me alone and I lay back in the water letting myself sink to the bottom of the bathtub. I make a water form of K’uk’ulkan and with a swift move of my finger I decapitate his water form.
“Your enemies call you Namor, well I’ll be calling you amongst the dead very soon.”

Incoming: some weeb shit I've folded one of my favorite math things into (permutations)
So I recently went back to Revolutionary Girl Utena because my girlfriend hadn't seen any of it yet and I hadn't seen much beyond season 1 (I know it's a foundational work of sword lesbianism and regret not having gone harder on it before).
I was kind of laughing with her about how edgy the translated lyrics of Zettai Unmei Mokushiroku (Absolute Destiny: Apocalypse, the song that plays during the scene where Utena climbs up to the arena every episode) and I noticed that there wasn't a translation for a chant at the end of it that hits my ear in a very pleasing way.
The chant in question:
Mokushi Kushimo
Shimoku Kumoshi
Moshiku Shikumo
The reason there is no translation is that it's mostly gibberish. They took the word "Mokushi" (Apocalypse) and rearranged the syllables in all possible ways to create this particular piece of poetry. The repetition of syllables in this way ends up feeling really good to my brain when I hear it and I have therefore been alternating between trying to memorize it and analyzing its structure for the past few days.
Unfortunately in order to present my process for this analysis I'm going to have to teach you some basics of the mathematical conception of permutations.
(The following aside into math is actually wholly unnecessary to my overall analysis, so feel free to skip to the clearly marked conclusion at the end if it feels like too much or you just don't feel like engaging with it)
A permutation is any reordering of a set of objects. Note that it's just reordering, it doesn't include deletions or the introduction of new elements or new copies of old elements. Commonly if we want to analyze permutations directly, and more specifically to talk about the permutation where the first object goes to 2nd position, second object to 3rd, third object to 1st, we use (123) (read as 1 goes to 2, 2 goes to 3, 3 goes to 1). As well, if the 3rd object stays put and the first two swap places, we would use (12) (read as 1 goes to 2, 2 goes to 1) to describe that. If no change is made, we usually just use (1) (read as one goes to one or the identity) to describe that. (This is very much lacking the rigor and generality that I would've preferred, but this post would've been substantially longer if I'd gone into that much detail, so I'm kind of hoping someone can come in with just this much explanation and understand what comes after)
So my first step in my analysis was to try to record how each of the "words" related to the base/actual word Mokushi (this is admittedly where it would be quite useful for me to change over to hiragana, but I don't know it and don't have a keyboard downloaded for it and don't feel like downloading one just for this post or copy/pasting the hiragana repeatedly, sorry to those of you who study/enjoy Japanese)
So, rewriting the chant as the permutations applied to Mo-Ku-Shi (written this way to emphasize the 3 objects being permuted):
(1) (132)
(123) (12)
(23) (13)
It was fun but didn't get me anywhere (other than verifying every possible ordering was present, but I was already pretty certain of that) so I instead chose to look at what permutation is happening at each step in the sequence rather than just how they compared to the original:
* (132)
(132) (13)
(132) (132)
Here, we see a much more obvious pattern. For all but one transformation, we are permuting by taking the first syllable and pushing to the end, moving the other two toward the beginning of the "word". To hear it, it is very easy to recognize the 2-syllable repeats happening throughout that first pulled my attention. However, this one permutation couldn't be done exclusively if they wanted to cover all possible permutations, as applying (132) 3 times brings you back to the original word, so the third Permutation is instead (13) which just reverses the syllables in this case since there's only 3 of them, but this also notably changes them to a "word" not yet seen which can bring us to the two we are still missing by applying (132) two more times.
It was after all of this that I properly noted that that middle step reversed the previous "word" and I mentally zoomed out to notice
~~~~Conclusion~~~~
the chant is set up to mirror itself. The pairs 1&6, 2&5, and 3&4 are all the reverse of one another, ordered such that for all but one pair heard in sequence, there is a 2-syllable repetition when moving from one word to the next. (Yes it took me this long to notice it was mirrored. No all that permutation work was definitely not necessary, but forgive a [likely autistic] math nerd for her indulgences.)
It's just a silly chant in a cartoon but it made me happy to see permutations in it and I am sincerely moved by the poetry of making gibberish out of a dark and serious word like apocalypse by listing off anagrams.
A throne made of rock-crystal, inlaid with blue glass, emerald, and gold carrying poles,
inlaid with gold figures of men and a gold siren's head and gold palm trees. 1.
and blue glass palm trees. 1. one foot-stool inlaid with blue glass, emerald, and gold, with gold cross bars. 1.
Commentary
to-no - thornos - "throne." This would be θρόνος in Classical Greek. The difference between /-or-/ and /-ρο-/ isn't necessarily surprising and is likely just a result of liquid metathesis - a random sound change. This liquid metathesis in also seen in Cypriot θόρνα. An example of θρόνος not undergoing liquid metathesis in Mycenaean in seen in the word to-ro-no-wo-ko, meaning chair-maker. In to-ro-no, a dummy vowel o is used to separated the consonants t and r. This shows that r is part of the onset of the syllable, rather than part of the coda (in which case it would be omitted from the transcription).
we-a2-re-jo - weharejo - "rock crystal"? The e-jo suffix shows that this is an adjective of material. This could be related to Greek ὕαλος, which means "rock-crystal." This material was commonly found during the Aegean Bronze Age, with a rock-crystal inlay having been found on a Knossos gaming board. However, this would reconstruct as hualeyos, not wehaleyos? Although we cannot directly reconcile it, this appears to be the most sensible option - we-a2-re-jo has to be a material. ὕαλος is not a Greek word and is most likely a loan word. The initial syllable /hwa/ is not a Greek phoneme and so we-a2 may have been a way of conveying both the aspirated component and the labial component.
a-ja-me-no - "inlaid." This appears to be a perfect passive participle aiaimenos. This has no Classical Greek correspondences, but, from context in both this tablet and several others, seems to mean "inlaid." This participle is nominative singular agreeing with to-no.
ku-wa-no - kuwano(i) - "blue glass (paste)." Related to English "cyan." This is a dativeor instrumental singular - the indirect object of a-ja-me-no. Classical Greek κύανος. Possibly from Hittite kuwannan (copper, blue, precious stone).
pa-ra-ku-we-qe - parakuwe(-kwe) - "(and) emerald." pa-ra-ku-we has no Greek relatives. The -we ending makes it clear that this is a u-stem noun in the dative or instrumental. In another tablet, we have the adjective pa-ra-ku-ja as an adjective describing cloth, whilst we also have *56-ra-ku-ja, which may be an attempt to approximate a non-Greek phoneme (/b./). pa-ra-ku-we seems to be related to Akkadian barraqtu, which means emerald. The *b phoneme that is seen in Classical Greek is not of Proto-Indo-European origin and is generally a result of the voiced labiovelar *gw, as seen in *gwou- (qo-u in Mycenaean).
ku-ro-so-qe - khruso(i)-kwe - "gold." Related to Classical Greek χρυσός.
o-pi-ke-re-mi-ni-ja - opikelemnians - "carrying poles?" This is a first declension accusative plural, acting as an accusative of respect. o-pi is equivalent to Classical ἐπί with Ablaut variation. ἀμφικελεμνις means "sedan chair." This may therefore mean "carrying pole" or similar.
a-di-ri-ja-pi - "pictures of men." Instrumental plural -pi. ἀνδριας in Classical Greek means "pictures of men."
se-re-mo-ka-ra-o-re-qe - seiremo-krahore-(kwe) - "(and) a siren's head." seirem- is most likely the equivalent of Classical Greek σείρην, with Mycenaean being prior to the change of word final /m/ > /n/ in Greek. krahore- is the instrumental of kraha (related to the poetic term κάρα - "head").
po-ni-ki-pi - phoinikphi "palm trees." This is largely agreed to mean "palm tree" (Classical Greek φοῖνιξ), but could potentially mean "date" or "phoenix."
ta-ra-nu - thranus - "foot-stool." Related to Homeric θράνυς.
ko-no-ni-pi - "cross-bars?" Feminine instrumental plural. Perhaps related to Classical Greek κανονίς - "cross bar" - but the vowels o not necessarily match up.
The Chanoyu Hyaku-shu [茶湯百首], Part I:  Poem 3.
Tumblr media
〽 Hito-temae tateru uchi ni ha yoshi-ashi wo           u-mu no kokoro no wakachi wo mo shiru
     [一手前立る內には善し惡しを           有無の心の分かちをも知る].
    “During the course of a single temae, with respect to right or wrong¹, when [it is appropriate] to be sensitive to whether either has occurred should also be a consideration².”
Tumblr media
    In other words, there are times when introspection is valuable and important, and times when doing so will be detrimental.  During practice sessions, it is valuable to recognize both your mistakes and the things that have been done well.  But when serving tea to your guests, allowing your mind to become distracted with thoughts of right or wrong can easily result in making further mistakes from which you cannot recover³.
    When making tea during a gathering, your approach should be like water:   when confronted by an obstacle, water does not hesitate or become flustered; rather it simply continues to flow on, eventually passing the obstacle as if following the originally-agreed-upon course.  Do not praise yourself for a well-executed mood, or chide yourself over a lapse or mistake; just continue with the process of preparing and serving each bowl of tea -- act wholly in the moment, and do not allow thoughts of what is past cause you to loose your focus or become confused.
Tumblr media
    The yellow highlighting indicates that Suzuki’s Jōō version, and the Sekishū version⁴ of this poem differ from what we find in the Kyūshū manuscript -- in this case, the two phrases of the shimo-no-ku [下の句] have been reversed, and several of the particles changed, which give the meaning “while performing a single temae, with respect to ‘right’ and ‘wrong,’ you should understand when you may focus your mind on distinguishing [between the two], and when you should not do so.”  The overall meaning, however, is basically the same:  there are times when introspection is appropriate, and times when we should just go with the flow -- and it is important to recognize which is which⁵.
_________________________
¹Yoshi [善し], “right,” means that an action was performed correctly or admirably well; ashi [惡し]; “wrong,” means that you made a mistake.
²The circumspection that this requires means being attentive to the totality of the circumstances, including the possible consequences of distracting yourself by reflecting critically on something that is already in the past.
³An example would be something like opening the mizusashi to add cold water to the kama during the furo-koicha temae.
    If, at the beginning of the furo season, you forget, and fail to open it, pausing your temae to rectify the omission can cause you to become flustered, with the result that your focus goes elsewhere, and as a result the koicha might not be as delicious as it might have been.
    But also, if you did remember to open the mizusashi, then praising yourself mentally for this accomplishment might also distract you from your concentration on what you are doing, and so resulting bowl of koicha might be somehow...lacking.
    During practice sessions, a concern with doing things correctly is important -- indeed, it is the only way you will become proficient.  But when serving tea to your guests, your focus should be on making a delicious bowl of tea, so you should not let thoughts of ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ to distract you from your goal.
⁴Katagiri Sadamasa originally was given a copy of one of popularly circulating versions of the Hundred Poems when he was beginning his study of chaonyu
    Later, during the last ten years of his life, he began to reject the contemporary machi-shū views championed by the Sen family*, and research Jōō’s teachings, and it was at that time that he came across one of Jōō’s old manuscript copies of the poems.  As a result, two completely independent collections of the Chanoyu hyaku shu were handed down within his school. ___________ *This was part of the generational shift away from the teachings of Sōtan and his sons, in the direction of restoring the chanoyu that had been practiced by their ancestors, which eventually resulted the creation of what we now call daimyō-cha.  It is important to recognize, however, that their goal was not to create a new kind of chanoyu, but to reject the practices of the machi-shū (who were actually following the teachings of Imai Sōkyū and Furuta Sōshitsu) and restore the tea of Jōō and Rikyū.  But the problems that they faced were twofold:  first, virtually everyone active during the mid-to-late seventeenth century had learned to practice the chanoyu of Sōtan in their formative years; and, secondly, none of the daimyō (since only the daimyō could challenge the bakufu’s position on how chanoyu should be practiced) had access to the whole canon of Jōō’s and Rikyū’s teachings (rather, each could know only the teachings preserved in the documents held in their own archives -- which were carefully guarded from the gaze of anyone not connected with that family -- so their knowledge was already limited, and expressed by plugging it into Sōtan’s temae).  Thus, rather than accomplishing a restoration of Rikyū’s tea, the result was that the daimyō each branched off on his own tangent -- so not only did they never converge but, on the contrary, moved farther and farther away not only from each other, and the Sen family, but from Rikyū and Jōō’s teachings as well.
    Katagiri Sadamasa, on account of his high position and personal power, managed to ferret out some of Jōō’s old writings, to be sure, but he put them into practice through the medium of Sōtan’s temae, meaning that he was never able to realize anything that looked like chanoyu as it had been in the years before Rikyū’s seppuku.  (Sekishū also seems to have become conflicted with regard to how Rikyū’s tea may have differed from that of Jōō, which resulted in an increased focus on Jōō’s middle period -- even though that approach meant that he could never understand, or come to terms with, the evolutionary burst that occurred in the months between Rikyū’s return from the continent at the end of 1554, and Jōō’s own death toward the end of the following year.)
⁵Generally speaking, deviations indicated by highlighting the poem with yellow are ones that will have little or no impact on the English meaning of the poem.
Kanji
Yeah Uh...
眠れないやじゃないや How shall I do it? こんな暗夜 巡り巡ってる回想シーン 同じ科白の繰り返し 心とは腹な行動ばかりの It’s me 笑い飛ばすように 迷ってる手 繋いだ冬の日
Lonely times 孤独は とっくに慣れてた筈なのに I lost you お前の 欠片を探してしまう
I know... わかってるつもりだ You need... いつもの威勢は影もなく壁だらけ 届かない想いを叫んでいるだけ I love... その先を言えずに You leave... 悲しそうに潤む瞳がそう今もなお 離れない離れない離せないよ交互に飲むココア 気持ちまであたためてくれたね ポケットの中 優しくて ずっと守ろうって強く握りしめた
がんじがらめの日々に Perplex 変わってくのが怖い Complex 壊そうとして想像の果て 首を横に振っていた
Holy times 明日が 訪れなきゃいいのに だって Hide me このまま 底に堕ちてくのも構わない
I know... 気がふれそうなくらい You need... 大切だったと風もなく枯れきった 荒野で独りで凍えているだけ I love... すり抜けてくように You leave... 駆け寄って抱きしめられたなら If it can be done 離れない離れない離さないよ
終わらない Insomnia 終わって欲しくない 眠りについたら思い出さえ ぼやけてしまうI know... わかってるつもりだ You need... いつもの威勢は影もなく壁だらけ 届かない想いを叫んでいるだけ I love... その先を言えずに You leave... 悲しそうに潤む瞳がそう今もなお 離れない離れない離せないよ
Translation:
Yeah Uh...
I can't sleep, I just can't How shall I do it? On such a dark night Flashbacks keep playing in my mind The same lines, over and over It's me, always acting contrary to my heart Trying to laugh it off That winter day, my smitten hand held yours
Lonely times, this loneliness Should be second nature to me, but I lost you, I'm searching For fragments of you
I know...I think I know You need...My usual strength is gone, only walls remain I'm just shouting thoughts that won't reach you I love...I don't need to say any more You leave...Yeah, even now, your sad, teary eyes They won't leave, they won't leave, I can't get them out of my head
Taking turns drinking cocoa It warmed us up right down to our feelings Tenderly, inside your pocket I held on tightly, wanting to protect you forever
Perplexed by these restricted days Complexed, scared that it will change Reaching the limits of my imagination trying to destroy it I shook my head from side to side
Holy times, even if Tomorrow doesn't come, it's okay, so Hide me, I don't care Even if I sink to the bottom like this
I know...It's driving me crazy You need...It was important, but it disappeared without a trace I'm freezing, all alone in the wilderness I love...So I can make my way through it You leave...If I could run up and hug you, if it can be done I won't leave, I won't leave, I won't let go
Neverending Insomnia I don't want it to end When I fall asleep, my memories Will fadeI know...I think I know You need...My usual strength is gone, only walls remain I'm just shouting thoughts that won't reach you I love...I don't need to say any more You leave...Yeah, even now, your sad, teary eyes They won't leave, they won't leave, I can't get them out of my head
A3! Song Translation - Fleur Histoire
Translation:
LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LU LU LU LU LA LA
Clear skies with a green colored aroma
It’s the beginning of another day
The words I exchange with my friends
Color is excellent
As we build our days
stepping down the road
The beauty deepens
So let’s learn together
Let’s dream
and share our joys
Always walking towards the future,
Strong and happy
A new wind blows
From here, the door opens
without stopping in the sun
A wonderful picture of tomorrow
Even if it's small in the sun it can
become a big flower
Even if it's time for change
Don’t be afraid to look forward
Bravery is beautiful
But people can also important
without losing pride
Sometimes we try too hard to fit in
It’s time for us to stand up
Always have hopes for the future
The dreams you’re aiming for
From here, the unbelievably beautiful scenery is reflected in your eyes
LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LIN LA LU LIN LA LU LA LA LA LA LIN LU LIN LO LA
Aaaa....Aaaa......Aaaaa
Always move, towards the future without forgetting the things you treasure
From now on, we'll continue to smile and create a wonderful tomorrow without stopping
Fire will cleanse your soul.
I thought I was a phoenix who rose from the ashes of my past free of the pain and betrayal, but I was wrong.
Jinx, Dwyn, Coda, Raz, and Mo were nothing more than bad memories until they magically reappeared in my perfectly organized world as smoking hot adults. By the time I realized they were the boys I loved as a teen, it was too late.
For the second time, an explosion changed the course of my life in the blink of an eye.
I don’t know if The Five are dead, captured, or hiding.
What I do know is the shadowy client intent on conquering the criminal underworld by killing off competition will pay for daring to take what is mine.
Update kehidupan
Kemarin pas Hannah lagi sakit2nya sedangkan hari rabu ada deadline esai, kumikir “apa minta extension aja?” Tapi ngeliat dokumen yg berjibun kujadi malas dan akhirnya ku mau usahain mencoba aja dulu.
Jd tadi setelah nganter hannah ke childcare, udh langsung duduk di pojok GSA sini dari jam 10.10 dan pulang jam 20.05, oh ternyata 10 jam! Apakah aku berproses? Tentu!
Alhamdulillah Allah maha baik pas kemarin Hannah sakit tp udh sempet buka2 paper rujukannya, terus ngesummary paper tsb. Jadi tadi lebih ke drafting penulisan aja dan Alhamdulillah udh 1000 kata walau baru 1/3 jalan ya bund ☺️☺️
Tumblr media
Karena gak ada instagram di Hp dan lg deactive jadi emg hampir gak main sosmed. Cm scroll facebook sm linkedin aja, cm karena nggak seseru IG ya jadi cm bentar bgt. Terus distraksi yang datang adalah karena ada email masuk mengenai Grant untuk AAS Awardee 😍 jujur si banci-grant ini langsung semangat pengen apply dan nyari2 partner siapa yg bs mbantu utk implementasiin di Indonesia. Tadi sempet nghubungin kak Gugi, cm beliau lg sibuk, blm tau available kapan. Jadi ku langsung kepikiran mo ngajak LBI aja karena temanya emg pengen women empowerment.
Diskusi bentar sm kak Dita trs otakku jd meledak2 dengan banyak ide. Jadinya nggak bisa tidur padahal udh jam 11 malam. Padahal td pas sampe rumah jam 20.30an langsung masak, nyuci piring, nyuapin anak 🙂 masih ada aja tenaga u, Na, hebat 👏 dan karena udh keburu on otaknya akhirnya drafting abstract buat abstract submission di tgl 24 (yaAllah tgl 20an mei banyak bgt deadline-nya : deadline abstract, deadline grant, deadline paper 🫠)
Tapi gapapalah, hidup emang gak seru bgt kl cuman kuliah doang. Dari dulu ku kaya gitu, makanya akhirnya mencoba mencari tantangan, walau nilai kuliahnya biasa-biasa aja bahkan cenderung jelek🫣
Tadinya mau apply grant buat ngajuin exchange aja ke Eropa gitu ya, tapi apa cukup 10rb aud? Terus kan ini dampaknya ke gue doang, jd kaya mikir mendingan bikin kegiatan aja buat women empowerment di Indonesia, apalagi kemarin kak dita cerita kalo LBI mau bikin event offline.
Ohiya, bisa berprogress 1000 kata dalam sehari tuh LUMAYAN BGT LOH!!! Emang sengaja pilih topik nulis yg seru biar serunjuga nulisnya, judul paper yg lg on going adalah : Reducing Carnon Footpront by Limiting Ultra Process Food in Urban Area of Indonesia. Bener2 combining my interest in environmental and nutrition bgt!!!! Huhuhuu!!
Jujur ya jd agak bingung ini stream kehidupan, mau nutrition (mother and child health) atau environment (climate change and sustainability)? Both are my interest semogaaa… bisa dpt winter internship di bidang itu :”) tadinya mau intern di Australian Breastfeeding Association tapi jd bingung. Padahal breastfeeding juga dianggap sbg carbon offset loh kan kemarin udh rilis tu papernya!!! Huhuhu yaudalah seleseiin dulu baru nanti nyari internship lagi.
Laa hawlaa walla quwwata illa billah forr eevrryytthingggg (termasuk mas mogi yg ngelamar keja ke berbagai sudut Australia :”) semoga Allah ridho dan mudahkan!!!!)
Working has changed me a lot.
Dulu seorang icha masih ketawa ketiwi, di tempat kerja masih sangat bisa untuk menjadi diri sendiri, sebagaimana icha bersama teman2nya, kayak pas sama ning dkk, atau sm anak gamelan, atau sm winda, atau pas sama lia. LPDP betul2 jadi sebuah role model gimana lingkungan kerja itu memanusiakan manusia, juga jadi pacuan buat bisa jadi lebih baik, bahkan dalam hal ibadah. Masih inget dulu tiap dhuha mushola penuh banget. Jadi terpacu juga, yang mana skrg udah ga pernah lagi. Pengen banget mulai lagi. Yaa meskipun kalo secara sarkas org bakal bilang, yaiyalah banyak nganggurnya sampe bisa dhuha. Atau, ya gitu deh pns. Kerjaannya absen, dhuha, balik2 udah mo dzuhur, istirahat, balik2 dah mau ashar, pulang. Wkwkw. Tp seenggaknya, solat ye kan.
Lalu datanglah satu persatu peristiwa yang, pada akhirnya, mengubah banyak bgt bgt. Dan ternyata, berlaku sampai sekarang. Sampai detik yang dirasa sepertinya sudah aman..
Kalo kata tata, mba icha kalo udah kecewa bener2 ga bisa. Kayaknya itu bener. Disini, peristiwa kekecewaan dengan mas itu sepertinya betul2 membuatku sadar diri lagi, bahwa ga ada satu tempat kerja pun yang akan dirasa aman. Diri ini menjadi salah satu yang gak selamat, sementara si teteh dan si itu, saat ini, selamat. Mereka bisa memulai, khususnya dimulai. Sementara ada yang nggak bisa bohong. Hubungan kami udah gak bisa tak selamatkan. Ga ada keinginan untuk memperbaiki dari keduanya. Hati rasanya masih sangat amat takut, dan sakit. Jalan paling aman adalah ini. Berkomunikasi kembali hanya akan membuka jalan ke arah sana. Yang mana rasanya sudah ketebak siapa yang akan gimana. (Entah ini bener atau enggak)
Kupikir lama2 akan biasa dan membaik dengan sendirinya. Ternyata enggak. Ini justru mengubahku menjadi semakin penakut. Orang itu terlihat makin ekstrovert, sementara aku makin ingin tak terlihat. Tawaran fiki waktu itu jadi sangat ku sesali sekarang, kenapa nggak tak iyain ya. Pindah kesana. Mengucilkan diri aja gitu sibuk sama diri sendiri. Gak usah deket sama temen se unit. Karena bisa se menakutkan itu. Harus baik2in lah, harus merendah lah.
Satu orang telah hilang respect. Satu lagi harus disayang2, ditinggikan. Satu lainnya harus diwaspadai, mengingat pernah mendapat tuduhan tak berdasar. Satu harus dijaga jaraknya agar tak berucap hal mesum. Lainnya ternyata ku takut menatap mata mereka. Lebih baik menghindar dan berjarak, tapi main aman saja. Aku tidak dan memang bukanlah orang yang menyenangkan. Resikonya, ya, nggak dapet kerjaan. Tapi gakpapa, potensiku sedang tersalur ke carousel, shopee, melihat2 barang atau popok untuk anakku, keluargaku. Sudah cukup membuat sibuk. Dan rasanya engga papa kok. Cukup.
Kansas Senate Bill 233
The latest version of the proposed bill - PDF
Introduced by Senator Thompson and sponsored by the Committee of Health and Human Services, SB233 targets trans-Kansas under 18 by restricting their right to medical attention and threatening Kansas medical providers and state employees who provide care with lawsuits and revocation of their licenses. Gov. Kelly has vetoed the bill, and legislation is currently working to overturn said veto.
If SB 233 were to become law, this would ban...
Puberty blockers, HRT, and other medical necessities.
The usage of insurance from being used to cover necessary healthcare and prescriptions.
Institutions and individuals, such as social workers, therapists, teachers, counselors, and more, from receiving state funds to promote or advocate for social transitioning and essential healthcare.
This extreme, transphobic law prohibits freedom of speech and expression, affects parental rights, limits the ability of state employees to serve Kansas children, and most of all, hurts trans youth.
Help protect Kansas trans youth, their medical freedom, and their rights from Kansas legislators determined to politicize them and use the lack of public knowledge on this issue for their own agenda.
