Gramma Solar: The Best Choice for KSEB Solar Subsidy Projects
One of the key advantages of choosing Gramma Solar Pvt Ltd is our specialization in KSEB’s Solar Subsidy Scheme. This government-backed initiative provides significant financial support for those interested in installing rooftop solar panels in Kerala. As an empaneled service provider under the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) Soura Solar Subsidy Scheme, Gramma Solar makes it easier for customers to benefit from this initiative.
What is the Soura Solar Subsidy Scheme?
The kseb solar subsidy scheme is an ambitious project launched by the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) to promote the use of solar energy in households and businesses. Through this initiative, residents and businesses in Kerala can install rooftop solar systems with the benefit of a 40% subsidy on the total installation cost, up to a 10 kW system.
By harnessing the power of solar energy, consumers can reduce their dependence on conventional power sources, helping not only to lower their electricity bills but also to reduce their carbon footprint, contributing to the global fight against climate change. Under the scheme, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) also provides a variety of financial incentives to make solar energy more accessible.

SOLAR PANEL SUBSIDY IN INDIA
When discussing solar energy, we think about the pricing of the solar system and the subsidy scheme for solar panels. The Government of India has launched a power saving scheme called Solar Roof Top Power Plant to save wealth for future generations. We all know the obvious reason for not using solar energy in the residential / commercial sector and its value. Therefore, realizing this problem, the Central Government launched the MNRE Solar Subsidy Scheme.
MNRE solar subsidy scheme
40 % up to 3 KW
Plus 20% for Remaining above 3 KW up to 10 kW for the Domestic sector.
More the 10KW – No any subsidy
Besides, 70% subsidy in hill stations states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu & Kashmir, and 90% subsidy available for farmers on water pumping systems..

Kerala: KSEB floats tenders to install rooftop Solar PVs
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala State Electricity Board has started scouting for contractors competent to be empanelled for design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of grid-tied rooftop Solar PV power plants.
The board has invited applications from the interested contractors who would be responsible to set up solar power plants for a period of 25 years as part of the board’s plans to improve the solar energy generation capacity of the state by setting up plans worth 150MW in domestic sector.
Interested contractors are advised to submit tender before April 17. The board proposes to set up roof mounted solar PVs with 50MW capacity for the 2020-21 period, along with other plans for solar power generation. Registration of consumers interested in setting up solar units is already on. First 75,000 consumers registering with the board would be eligible for the scheme, for which they would get government subsidy.
As per the guidelines published by ministry of new and renewable energy, 40per centsubsidy would be available for plans up to 3KW capacity. For every additional unit, up to 10KW, subsidy would be 20per centof the total cost. As per the ministry guidelines, the cost per 1KW plant, including operation and maintenance charges, is Rs 54, 000. The Kerala model scheme offers more flexibility to those interested in setting up solar units on their roof tops. As per this scheme, consumers can join the drive by spending only 12 to 25 per centof the project cost. KSEB would be in charge of the maintenance of such plants for a period of 25 years. The board has devised various business models for this scheme.

Unlocking Savings with the KSEB Solar Subsidy Scheme
The KSEB Solar Subsidy Scheme is a transformative initiative for anyone looking to reduce their energy costs and increase their savings. For instance, if you install a 3 kWp solar energy power plant under this scheme, you could generate between 600 and 720 units of electricity in just two months. If you were to purchase the same amount of power from KSEB, it would cost you approximately Rs. 4,500/- for two months.
However, with the KSEB MNRE subsidy of Rs. 57,383, your total installation cost will be reduced significantly. For example, if your installation cost is Rs. 1,90,500/-, the subsidy will reduce this to Rs. 1,33,117/- – giving you an immediate reduction in upfront costs. This subsidy makes the transition to solar energy more affordable than ever, and the returns from reduced electricity bills can quickly offset the initial investment.
With these kinds of savings, it’s no wonder that more and more households and businesses in Kerala are making the switch to solar power.
Exploring the Soura kseb solar subsidy Project: Key Features
The Soura KSEB Solar Subsidy Project is one of the key components of the state’s plan to generate 38 GW of rooftop solar power. In Kerala, the initiative is aimed at helping households and businesses install solar power plants on their rooftops, promoting the use of renewable energy while also providing financial incentives to make it more affordable.
Key Features of the Soura KSEB Solar Subsidy Scheme:
40% Subsidy for Systems Up to 10 kW: Eligible customers can receive a subsidy of up to 40% on the installation cost of solar panels for systems of up to 10 kW capacity.
Subsidies for Both Residential and Commercial Projects: The scheme caters to both residential and commercial installations, allowing various types of consumers to benefit from the savings offered by solar energy.
Support for Solar Power Expansion: The Soura Scheme aims to generate more renewable energy by supporting Kerala’s goal of increasing rooftop solar capacity. The more systems installed under the scheme, the greater the amount of clean energy that can be generated.
Subsidy Support from MNRE: The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) plays a pivotal role by offering financial support to eligible consumers, making it easier for them to transition to solar power.
Quick Implementation: The installation process is quick and seamless, especially with Gramma Solar’s professional team handling everything from start to finish. Customers can expect fast, efficient work, with minimal disruption to their day-to-day activities.
Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Energy: By choosing solar power, you’re contributing to the larger global movement of reducing carbon emissions and promoting a healthier, more sustainable planet.
