• Divine Protection (they bring blessings of prosperity, longevity, and good fortune to those they encounter) • Telepathy (the ability to communicate telepathically with wise and virtuous individuals) • Immortality • Elemental Manipulation (control over the elements, such as fire, water, or air, which they can use for protection or offense) • Healing Powers • Flight • Transformation (can shape-shift into different forms or disguise themselves to interact with humans or other creatures)

Weaknesses:

• Gentle Nature (they avoid conflict and harm, making them vulnerable to aggressive or malevolent beings) • Cursed Environments (may be weakened or unable to manifest their powers in areas tainted by evil or dark magic) • Mortal Attachment (despite their longevity, qilin can form emotional attachments to mortals or other beings, which can be exploited by adversaries) • Reluctance to Harm (may hesitate to use their powers aggressively, even when defending themselves, due to their pacifistic nature) • Mistaken Identity (may be deceived by illusions or trickery, particularly if someone disguises themselves as a virtuous being) • Binding Spells (powerful magical bindings or seals can restrict a qilin's movements or abilities, preventing them from freely using their powers) • Lack of Offense (qilin are typically defensive creatures and may lack offensive capabilities against aggressive opponents)

10 MINUTES OF PURE TERROR: HORRIFYING BROADCAST PARALYZES THE CITY

Mobs of Infernals are flooding the streets and rallying for justice. The Government has yet to respond.

Once again, the citizens of Stellaris City wake up to a shocking and unprecedented event. It has now been a full week since the Earthquake that devastated The Deep—a fact that was grimly marked this morning when a broadcast interrupted every emergency channel across the City.

There is little that is known about this broadcast or where it came from. The Starlight Broadcasting Agency appears to have been hijacked, and for exactly 10 harrowing minutes, a recording of anguished screams echoed through the city—in every phone and TV and every loudspeaker otherwise used for emergency alerts only.

Many now believe that these sounds were the dying screams of the Infernals who perished in the Deep during the Earthquake—several calls for help could also be heard in this recording. After 10 minutes, the broadcast was abruptly cut off, leaving the entire city in a state of panic.

As of now, no individual or group has come forward to claim responsibility for this stunt, and the Starlight Government has yet to release any statements addressing it. There are, however, those who have wasted no time in speaking out—’The Viper’, the self-proclaimed “voice of the Infernals”, issued a fiery statement in response to the broadcast: “This wasn’t random. They want us to relive our pain, to humiliate us. Let this be their warning: we will not bow to fear or to their schemes. We will not let this break us. This will be our fuel.”

It is clear this broadcast reopened fresh wounds for those still grieving. Throughout the city, chaos and violence have skyrocketed. Early reports indicate an immediate escalation in violence. Infernals seem to be responding to their self-proclaimed “leader”’s call to arms, and there are massive mobs gathering at several key locations, including the Portal and the Government building. Several chants can be heard amongst the crowds, demanding both accountability and retribution: “Justice for the Deep!”, “We will not bow down!”, “No justice, no peace!”.

As of this writing, Prime Minister Lee has not issued any statement regarding this broadcast, but speculation about the source is running rampant: who was behind this, and how did they acquire this recording?

As tensions continue to rise and violence spreads, many are bracing for what might come next.
