im only on ch2 and im already being tortured by how deeply interesting the contrast btwn phoenix and kristoph is
#ive said it before but#im so. compelled by how they mirror each other#phoenix is so full of compassion but he has such a deeply rooted desperation to be needed#he will go out of his way to help you because it's what he hinged his sense of self on. saving people who are in imminent danger#no matter what the cost is to himself#kristoph has the exact same desperation to be needed but he will make the opportunities#you are going to need him whether you did before or not#he is going to guarantee that you need him no matter how many of your foundations he needs to crumble#and keep you there for as long as he possibly can#and if he doesn't get what he wants it gets unbelievably ugly
