i can't help but feel completely frustrated by the group rp community. for all i know it's just the circles i've been in. but i feel like there is this hyper-fixation on immediate activity. i feel like i have watched and been involved in groups where loads of people join, only to put nothing on the dash— as if waiting to see how much other people will contribute— then deciding when it's slow that it's not enough and leave. or those that put something on the dash and get turned off when it's not fireworks right away. i feel the need to remind people that a lot of us now have jobs now. some of us have families. we have likely more external commitments than we had in previous years. i was in college when i started roleplaying. i just turned thirty. and this isn't some PSA, just words i've been needing to get off my chest about group rps as of late, from someone that loves the rp community. i'm a twelve year veteran at this point. i both love and hate it. overall, i guess the TDLR is, i just wish people let group rps have time to mature, breathe and develop a second before deciding to jump ship, especially activity wise. negative vibes negates all this. leave places you aren't happy. but like... maybe try adding to the activity of an rp to aide it before deciding it's too slow. you could be the difference.

last movie you watched: Bomb City. I watched after seeing a tiktok about Brian Deneke. Overall I thought it was a good movie and a good depiction, it seems, of such a horrible event.

currently reading: not reading but listening to Then She Was Gone on audible. The story overall has me hooked at this point but I hate that the audio cuts off weirdly at certain parts???? also #theboyfriendissus

currently watching: started watching below deck and continuing to question my taste in men. ALSO i need survivor to return. I have resorted to watching college kids on youtube play survivor. send help.

currently working on: work lol. new promotion woot woot but it is occupying my time fully. Working 6 days and usually close to 10 hours each, sometimes filling in the gaps of employees I don’t have. This week has been.... ALOT. but I’m also loving it. I get to order beer and create flyers for events and buy nice clothes. also.... most importantly… FREE FOOD hoping to return to paul mescal gifs soon fingers crossed i need his face.

currently craving: listen i am always down for some chubby hubby ben and jerrys. but also white cheddar cheetos ORRR smart food popcorn is also where it’s at. I do not understand the white cheddar cheez its hype. gross. NO THANK. also.......... imitation crab meat. don’t look at me like that.

currently playing: well, i was playing the sims a bit before my promotion. legit almost was about to start a sims channel to occupy myself. otherwise trying to get Monroe to be interested in any toy. Got her to enjoy her cat tree #success. But so far her favorite toy is a string that used to be on some shoes I wanted to sell. She also enjoys a floppy fish I bought. HOWEVER she only wants to sit next to the fish. The fish may not flop and she will not touch. Only sits beside.
