“I’ll be working late at the studio again. I’m not sure when I’ll be home but you can text or call me if you need me. The other boys are on their way home now. I love you.” Tag said over the phone, hanging up after hearing your reciprocated I love you. 

Tag had a strange feeling today. Usually when he gets a feeling like this he’ll go home at a little earlier than usual, but he has to get some things done at the studio first. The way you had texted today and your tone on the phone weren’t making his suspicions subside at all. Hoping that whatever was going on, surely the other boys could cheer you up, like they usually did.  Typically if anything is bothering you, you’ll have no problem telling your boyfriend, tonight was different though. You didn’t want to bother him while he was working, for seemingly no reason.

Seeing you sitting in bed Seongmin was overcome with the same feeling Tag had been experiencing all day. Almost like a pit in his stomach kind of sensation. Seongmin stood in the doorway and cleared his throat softly. 

“Is there anything I could do to help you sleep? Sing to you? Sit with you?”

“No I’m okay, thank you for offering Minnie.” You said continuing to watch the show you were watching on your laptop.

He made his way over to you and rubbed a few circles on your back, placing a kiss on your hair, hoping to reassure you. He turned around, walking out and closing the door behind him. Sitting in the studio Tag was getting a lot of work done but was also checking his phone often since Jongwoo told him you weren’t asleep. After an hour of nothing from you Tag’s gut feeling really started to bother him. He tried pushing it aside to finish up but still couldn’t fatham what was going on. Deciding he had reached a good stopping point, he called it a night. Checking his phone one last time as left the studio, the time read 1:38 am. He sighed not realizing it had gotten so late, but his gut feeling had lessoned a bit. Nothing from you must have meant you finally fell asleep right?

Tag’s Pov:

As you stepped into the dorm it was completely silent besides light music coming from a room down the hall. You removed your shoes and hung up your jacket, heading down the hallway to your room. As you passed Yedam’s room you realized that was the source of the soft music. You continued until you reached your door, entering, expecting to see your angel asleep. Caught off guard you froze for a second, noticing Y/n sitting up in bed. Sitting with their back against the wall and holding their legs against chest. Y/n’s head resting on their knees, facing away from the door. After realizing Y/n didn’t see you come in you noticed they had headphones in. Your bad feeling had returned like a punch in the gut.

Y/n's Pov:

You had just been really upset all day, not really sure why but you decided to listen to music, hoping it would help. It didn’t, your tears continuing anyways. Loosing track of time, you just sat listening to the music, letting your emotions run their course. You really weren’t sure why you had been emotional today but everyone has those days.  You had felt a soft hand on your shoulder, startling you a bit. Reacting quickly you had looked to see who the hand belonged to, looking directly into your boyfriends eyes. 

Continued in third person pov:

As you both made eye contact Tag’s expression went from soft to concerned. He began to mouth some words to you, not fully understanding him. You took out your headphones and whispered, “What baby?”

“Why do you look like you've been crying, Y/n? And why are you still awake?” He asked, sitting in front of you.

Tag usually called you pet names but would only use your name if he was worried or if you were in fake trouble. You put your head in your hands, trying not to begin crying again. He got up, surprising you. He would usually try comforting you before moving on, making you feel even worse, like a bother. All day you had been trying to avoid being a bother, now feeling like your efforts were pointless. You watched his every movement with your eyes welling up again, he then left the room, leaving the door open. You figure he went to the bathroom, but still felt you should just go get a drink of water and sleep on the couch. You grabbed a pillow and a blanket, making your way towards the living room. You entered the living room, throwing your stuff on the couch, then going into the kitchen for some water. After drinking you went and laid down, facing the back of the couch, your back fronting the dark room. 

Tag exited the bathroom and headed back to his room to change and lay down with you. All day with his bad gut feeling all he could think about was coming home to cuddle with you. Coming in to a now empty room, the realization of what had just happened hit him. He didn’t mean to say nothing when he left the room, he is just so drowsy he wasn’t really thinking. Knowing how you probably took his actions, he went looking for you. Thinking you may have gone into Seongmin or Yedam’s room he decided to get a drink before searching for you. As he walked into the living room he saw your dark figure on the couch, curled up cutely. He quickly and quietly grabbed a drink thinking you may finally be asleep.

As he entered the living room again he saw some movement while walking in your direction to check on you. He decided to sit on the ground, leaning against the couch and began singing tenderly. You of course were still awake, trying to act like you were asleep, like a child. Knowing this was his way of apologizing for a misunderstanding, that wasn’t even his fault, you pouted to yourself. All you had wanted all day was him. Reality hit and your emotions began to melt away as he kept singing to you. The only emotions that were present now are warmth and guilt. Turning over to now face the dim room you couldn’t help but smile in Tag’s direction. Feeling guilty for seemingly upsetting you before, he didn’t even bother to look at you, figuring you were just adjusting in your sleep. Bringing your hand out from under your warm cover you started playing with his hair. He has cut off his singing, taken aback when he felt a hand touch his head. Leaning into your touch you began apologizing to him, getting cut off.

“Baby let’s just go to bed. There’s no reason to apologize, we’re both fatigued and drained.” Getting up off the floor he put out his hand for you to take. Taking his hand you followed him to bed, laying down in a honeymoon hug. His breathing relaxed and with your last bit of energy you couldn’t help but admit your appreciation for him. 

“I love you and appreciate you so much Taegyun.” Not expecting a response, thinking he was already asleep, his chest rose and fell quickly as he let out a few giggles.
