“Donten ni Warau Gaiden” è lo spin-off manga di “Donten ni Warau”, che è già stato adattato in una serie televisiva di 12 episodi prodotta dallo studio Doga Kobo nell’autunno 2014.

Lo spin-off ha iniziato la sua serializzazione nella rivista Comic Gardenfra il dicembre 2013 ed il febbraio 2017. Racconta le storie e gli avvenimenti che avvengono prima e dopo la serie principale.

"Laughing Under the Clouds" Spin-Off Anime Films Confirmed to be a Trilogy

The official website for the upcoming anime film adaptations of Donten ni Warau -Gaiden-, a three-volume spin-off series of Kemuri Karakara's fantasy action manga Donten ni Warau/Laughing Under the Clouds, opened today with a 30-second teaser for its first part "Ketsubetsu, Yamainu no Chikai (Farewell, Yamainu's Oath)" to be released on December 2, 2017.

  The site also confirmed that it will be a trilogy project and that the main voice cast of the 2014 TV anime adaptation of the manga's original series Donten ni Warau, including the three Kumou brothers: Yuichi Nakamura (Tenka), Yuki Kaji (Soramaru), and Tsubasa Yonaga (Chutaro), reprise their roles. Only Keiji Fujiwara, who voiced Taiko Kumou in the TV anime, is replaced by Toru Ohkawa due to his health issue. 

  Doga Kobo previously animated the 12-episode Donten ni Warau TV anime aired from October to

December 2014. Instead of them, WIT STUDIO (Attack on Titan, The Ancient Magus' Bride) newly

works on anime production of the three films.

"Laughing Under the Clouds" Spin-Off Anime Film's New Trailer Shows More Character Footage

The official website for the upcoming trilogy anime film project based on Donten ni Warau -Gaiden-, a three-volume spin-off series of Kemuri Karakara's fantasy action manga Donten ni Warau/Laughing Under the Clouds, posted a main visual and a 60-second full trailer for its first part "Ketsubetsu, Yamainu no Chikai (Farewell, Yamainu's Oath)" to be released in Japan on December 2, 2018. 

  Instead of Doga Kobo that previously animated the 12-episode Donten ni Warau TV anime in 2014, WIT STUDIO (Attack on Titan, The Ancient Magus' Bride) newly works on anime production for the three films. Tetsuya Wakano, who worked as an episode director for Seraph of the End and Attack on Titan Second Season, makes his feature film directorial debut.

Project Visual for "Laughing Under the Clouds" Spin-Off Trilogy Films Revealed

The official Twitter for the upcoming trilogy anime film adaptations of Donten ni Warau -Gaiden-, a three-volume spin-off series of Kemuri Karakara's fantasy action manga Donten ni Warau/Laughing Under the Clouds, today posted a "project visual" introducing its main characters.

  As the visual shows, the trilogy features the main voice cast of the 2014 TV anime adaptation of the manga's original series Donten ni Warau, including the three Kumou brothers: Yuichi Nakamura (Tenka), Yuki Kaji (Soramaru), and Tsubasa Yonaga (Chutaro). Instead of the TV series' Doga Kobo, WIT STUDIO (Attack on Titan, The Ancient Magus' Bride) newly works on anime production of the three films.

  As reported, its first part "Ketsubetsu, Yamainu no Chikai (Farewell, Yamainu's Oath)" is set to be released

on December 2, 2017. It is also announced today that the theater limited edition Blu-ray of the first part

and limited items featuring newly drawn illustrations by the manga author will be also sold at the theaters.

  Advance tickets for the first part will be available at selected Animate stores in Japan from August 12.

The Animate-limited ticket comes with a clear file with a newly drawn illustration of Tenka.
