Today (this was originally posted yesterday July 1st) was the anniversary of the announcement of Technoblade's passing.

Last year, when it was announced, was the same day I had to go to a convention cosplaying as Techno. I was hesitant at first but decided that it was the best way for me to honour him. And so this year, I recreated at upgraded my mourning Technoblade cosplay to honour his memory once again.

It is rough at times to remember him, but through the pain and tears, the rain clouds lift and the sun shines through to my heart to remember the good through the bad. And it comforts me. It comforts me to not be alone with my grief. When we mourn him and cry, our hearts feel like one and the burden weighs less in my chest.

So long Techno. Keep your chin up king, your crown is falling. 💙🤲👑

First con!

Me and my friend are going to koyocon in November, I’m incredibly excited. Just because of the name I really wanted to go as Kouyou Ozaki but I do not have her outfit and I can’t think of a cute modern outfit for her. So we are going as Reki and Langa on the first day and Tsukishima and Yamaguchi on the second

Fun Con Stories #1 - The Closet

Okay so! We’re starting a little story time series on the blog! In these posts, we will be taking about fun encounters and experiences, we’ve endured while being at a convention! We have a lot... So hold on tight!

This story takes place in November 2019 at a Danish convention called KoyoCon, where Anso, Josie and I were going to perform at the Cosplay Show with a Voltron skit (link below). 

For our act, we needed closet - all thanks to a bad pun FYI. It was an about 1,6 meters tall cart board box, which was held together by way too much duct tape. It was ugly as hell, both on the inside and on the outside (even a poster of Josie on its inside helped). Before and throughout the con, we had made countless of jokes regarding our closet - not only about its wonky appearance, but also who the unlucky sucker, who was gonna take the closet home afterwards, was. Due to its massive size, it wasn’t gonna be easy, for the one who should end up with it. We therefor ended up deciding to trash it after the performance (cuz none of us wanted that ugly cart board box anyway).

After the show, we were over the moon, since we had won the “Crowd’s favorite prize”. We all got so sentimental, and for some reason having to say goodbye to the closet had become more difficult than expected. We stayed backstage for a little while, procrastinating getting rid of our beloved cart board box. That, and we had promised some fans (meant humbly) to meet us backstage for some other stuff. 

When the fan group arrived, we spoke and they got the prop knives, we had promised them previously. One of them then looked to the closet and asked us about it. We then told them that we were going to throw it out for the reasons mentioned earlier. They then asked if THEY could TAKE HOME the closet... We all thought “Wtf why would you want that big ugly thing? How would you get it it transported home?”. But we ended up saying yes, cuz then we didn’t have to throw it out ourselves (big brain move).

After they had taken the closet and left, we started joking about the closet again, saying how we didn’t have to trash it and how they seemed way too excited about it etc. We enjoyed the rest of the con and didn’t give the closet a single thought (cuz why would we? It was gone and probably trashed already. Right?)

Well, after the con had ended and we all got home, we each got a tiktok notification, which isn’t abnormal for us (very humble). We had all gotten tagged in the same video - by the person who had taken the closet. THEY HAD ACTUALLY KEPT IT AND HUNG FAIRY LIGHTS IN IT! We were all baffled, but also super grateful to actually have gifted something worth keeping.

Major shoutout to @beanboi05 on TikTok for keeping it! And also thanks to your friends (and you) for being so kind to us! We really appreciate it!
