Six Spooky Customers Join the Cast of Zashiki-Warashi no Tatami-Chan

  Six more cast members (both human and otherwise) have been revealed for Zashiki-warashi no Tatami-chan, an upcoming horror-comedy mini anime about a spirit from the countryside who finds life a little more complicated after she moves to Tokyo. The new cast members include:

  Yōji Ueda as Ponpokomaru.

Keiji Fujiwara as Karaoke Shop Manager.

BB Goro as Inanogawa-san.

Megumi Satô as Ghost (Masako Endo).

Saki Kousaka as Okiku.

And Kotomi Ōtsuka as Karoake Shop Clerk.

    The story of Zashiki-warashi no Tatami-chan follows Tatami-chan, a household deity from Tono City in Iwate Prefecture, who moves to the big city of Tokyo. However, Tatami-chan uses up all of her limited funds to rent a rundown apartment that doesn't have gas, water, or electricity, so she's forced to take on human and yokai roommates and to look for a part-time job.

    Zashiki-warashi no Tatami-chan is written and directed by Rensuke Oshikiri and features animation production by Zero-G. The series is currently seeking crowdfunding on the Makuake website to finish production for a 12 mini-episode run.
