hi keeblr, i have something to confess because im so curious how many people think like me 😭😭 (or am I the idiot?? Likely option)

I prononce keefe as kee-fee and not keef because that's how my ten year old self pronounced it, and until unlocked came out with that one page of prononciations I had no idea i was doing it wrong. But alas. I stuck with it. (IT SOUNDS BETTER TO ME IM SO SORRY)

You know what I was thinking about when I read Unraveled that I kept thinking I wanted to put in a possible review and maybe I still will if I ever do that but rn I’m just gonna throw it at tumblr. The way that Keefe’s urges to say words that do bad or whatever the heck you would even call it, the way they’re described kinda reads like repressing tics in a way. Like I don’t think it is intentional at all but it’s kind of funny how it’s like he can’t think it or he will do it and then everyone will literally die. It’s like instead of failing at repressing a tic and then being a bit embarrassed, he gets to possibly destroy the world. Fun! I never thought about it at all when they were initially described in Unlocked because I didn’t have tics at the time but I started developing them a few months ago for some reason and then when Unraveled came out I was like hold up why is that kind of relatable lol. Also it was kind of funny because when that book came out and I was like constantly reading it I was so calm that my tics also calmed for the few days I was reading it lol. Thank you Keefe my sanity was spared at your expense. Idk it’s just a silly thought I had, what do you think?

i think what makes kam so compelling to me is that the reason they initially dislike each other is because they remind each other of themselves. and the similar conditions they were raised in leads them to have a general disdain for themselves and in learning how to love themselves they fall in love with each other.

Angst warning

Okay but au where Fitz dies and Soph sometimes gets Keefe to immitate his voice because she misses him (angst mwahaha)

Keefe does it because it's Soph whose asking, they get closer while sharing their guilt and grieving Fitz, eventually they grow up and get together and Sophie asks Keefe to immitate Fitz in bed and Keefe does it because he loves her and he understands why cause he also had a crush on Fitz at some point

Eventually Keefe stops talking in his own voice and only uses Fitz's (it bothers Biana Della and Alden to no end but Soph is bitter-sweetly okay with it)

He forgets how to talk in his own voice, he forces himself to sober up and be more serious, he stops making jokes about his trauma (he stops talking about it all together), eventually the boy Soph fell in love with is just gone and she's dating a weird pale imitation of her first crush walking around in the shell that Keefe has become. They break up, Keefe moves to the forbidden cities and never talks to the friend group again (except Lihn who visits once in a while to update him on the elven world and stock him up on products he can't get in the human world)

Keefe still talks like Fitz.
