what is misce-verse? /genq
I feel like @rabidbatboy is better equipped to answer this question, because I don't know myself.

a little notice for mogaiblr/editblr people who know very little about paraphiles but sometimes spread misinfo about this, as the communities sometimes interact
- number one, you don’t have to int with anyone for any reason at all, nobody is forcing you to, but you can still respect people who are living harmlessly and peacefully
- not every paraphile is harmful. paraphiles include objectophiles, people with kinks and fetishes, anyone who is attracted to something that is deemed societally abnormal. it could be a human emotion, it could be a body part. paraphile is not a dirty word, it has no moral value
- of those who have paraphilias that would be harmful to act upon/the big three, many paraphiles are harmless and anti contact. no, you don’t have to interact with anyone you don’t want people, but don’t condemn people for something they likely would rather die than act on
- you cant condemn people for thoughtcrimes. condemn people for their actions. think about the way you speak about paraphiles. if we condemned people for involuntary thoughts, we would have to condemn you all with OCD, intrusive thoughts, borderline splits, or any sane human with moments of irrational anger.
- paraphiles are not your enemy. groomers and predators are. is every narcissist an abuser because some narcissists abuse people? no. please stay safe all of you ❤️

general thing and not targeted, but why is it that the only way we’ve decided to handle things in this community is either by vagueposting or callout after callout. surely there are better ways for us to resolve our issues atp I am going crazy
I feel like what @ditizygirl is doing is a great example of an alternative. Che is making people uncomfortable by calling the community out as a whole and therefore, getting hate for it because che is saying what a lot of people think. Che's speaking for the culture, even if it's just a rant account, it's a great way to call the community out as a whole.
Additionally, if we have more people who have the balls to speak out like Macalo does to genuinely call out an entire community instead of calling out individuals and vagueposting about it, we'd see change. That's just me though.

it’s so funny to me that people set huge dnis on their accounts but for some reason decide that doesn’t apply when it comes to mogai. like a mogai flag will have ‘DNI [STANCE]’ and people act like they don’t see it. like ur breaking ur own boundaries and the boundary of the other account lmao?
Mogaiblr having DNI's for FLAGS is ridiculous. "DNI Mspec Lesbians / Gays" on a flag makes me want to use it more to be honest. You can't police silly flags because even if you say something, they'll still use it anyways.

i hope more people start editing their favourite niche source, or make hyperspecific genders for themselves, i love seeing edits of niche medias or genders that are insanely specific ^_^ <3
Right. I love making hyperspecific flags too. It's like seeing what others identify as.

Another thing I think people don't like about ditizygirl is that che has shown that che isn't backing down and that they can't bully cher off
Yup! Che is resilient, not backing down despite it all and that's what I admire about cher.

I'm so sick of the policing that goes on not; not just identity policing, but also the whole idea of "if your X you're a horrible person and should die" [I've literally seen this on someone's rentry]. It genuinely scares me
It's crazy that online communities are so divided and horrible to eachother. The whole being "pro" vs "anti" debates (on just about anything; I mean like, systems, fiction, certain labels) boggle my mind; and maybe this is because I'm hyper empathetic but I genuinely cannot just pick a side on any of these things; they're pushing everything into black and white, a binary that the queer community once fought against. There's too much nuance, too much gray area to lump everything into either "A" or "B," yknow?
It makes me so sad. Outside the internet, things - generally - aren't like that. There's always been outliers, sure, haters and trolls and shit stirrers (4chan, for example) have always been here too, but they weren't the majority, they didn't have as much of a platform as they do now. What happened to understoodjng that a) everyone's entitled to their own opinions, even if we don't agree, and b) we're all freaks in the eyes of the majority anyway.
There will always be problematic things, there always has been, and while it's good to draw attention to these things, it's far less good when you start throwing members of your own communities under the metapborical bus for so called "crimes" that are really just a matter of differing opinion.
It just makes me so sad and so scared. It shouldn't be this way. Why have we let it become this way?
There will always be two sides to everything, no matter what it is. It can be simple, political, ethical, etc. There will be two sides because people form those sides, when a lot of these things can be agreed upon. This is how everything has been and it's been a massive issue, especially online, because it creates unnecessary discourse.

"afab people cant make tfem flags" this is why we have so few tfem flags guys, because you guys would rather gatekeep literal PIXELS to hell and back rather than just. Let people make pretty flags.
Agreed. Unless it's cultural, I think anyone should be able to make a flag for anyone, unless they are genuinely disrespectful and awful towards the group.

People not crediting artists because they want to "gatekeep" them is so weird. Credit your artists. I don't care.
I agree! We shouldn't gatekeep artists for any reason.

I genuinely will let requests sit in my inbox for months because I do shit at my own pace. don’t let anyone pressure you into doing something that you are doing FOR FREE
If no one is donating 10 per flag, let me do this at my own pace.

editblr/mogaiblr systems have a really big issue with source connection. its downright uncomfortble at times to try interacting with some of the more extreme cases bc of how deep theyre in. instead of harassing the latest ashley leyley layout blog for having an ashley leyley layout maybe take a step back and realize the real problem is that theyre connected so deeply to that source that theyre choosing to promote it and show off. THAT is the problem, not their source. bc its true introjects cant control their source but they CAN make steps to disconnect. fucking hypocrites 😭😭😭😭
I'm a singlet, so I can't comment. I'm posting this anyways though.

Just saying that the ableism in these communities is insane (openly supporting endos, refusing to translate TQs or give IDs, judging people for their symptoms / traits, ect). It's just so ... Odd. Especially since most of these communities (mogai, editblur, ect) claim to be really supportive and stuff.
I honestly couldn't say it better. Nothing to add.

I think that just being like ‘delusional/psychotic people dni’ is weird and stigmatising but it’s not wrong to avoid/block people who are actively delusional and being affirmed by people around them. if people have a delusion to a character (for example) and are actively constantly in that delusion it’s always so so very triggering to my own psychosis. you have to set boundaries for your own comfort and safety and that’s okay
I also tend to avoid anyone who uses the term ‘D/A’ as I personally don’t like the usage and coinage of the term. just don’t be weird to psychotic people and just be safe
I agree. Nothing else to add here.

Identity. Police. Drives. Me. Insane.
“you can't identify this if you're [X THING]”
“if you use [Y LABEL] as a [Z PERSON] you are [5000040393 insults]”
“Hey by the way [A GROUP OF PEOPLE] aren't valid btw. That's because I say so (and don't care about your opinion, thoughts, or feelings) and it doesn't align with my ideology.”
In conclusion, shut the fuck up and let people identify with harmless labels.
I. HATE. IDENTITY. POLICE.
They drive me insane. "You can't be [x] because you have [y]." Oh my god!! Please shut the fuck up!
Korofessions breaks character because I hate gender police.
