Collage (from the French: coller, "to glue"; French pronunciation: [kɔ.laʒ]) is a technique of an art production, primarily used in the visual arts, where the artwork is made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole. Collage is a representation of our contemporary life. In an age where vast amounts of stimuli increasingly vie for our attention, we latch on to fragments that seize our interest and discard things we might deem useless or irrelevant. In this process, we compose our mind’s perception of our ever shifting world. This exhibition reveals how individuals gather and process visual information and arrange them together into compositions that give rise to new perspectives, narratives and imaginative thought. . . . . . .
