Kiyoshi does feel bad for taking away Koji from his original family. Sure, he is a michevious spirit, but hes still capable of feeling negative emotions..

He simply wanted something alive to care for. Something that could bring him joy by raising it to be his own. He had gone hundreds of years without a single meaningful relationship. He wanted to give someone a title that stuck near to his heart. He wanted to have someone.

He feels horrible about taking away the son of another family however. Taking away a true parents pride and joy for his selfish needs. Its a guilt thatll stay with him for as long as he stays.

Yet, to have someone to call his son felt amazing. To have his own rpide and joy in his life. Even for a small amount of time in his "life", it brought him warmth that he hadnt realized he missed.

Afterall, there would be no way to return Koji back to his previous parents. Koji doesnt remember a thing before he was taken away by Kiyoshi.
