Koiryu Junji scenario
I finished the Junji scenario of Kiryu’s dating sim a while ago. I don't remember it as well as I apparently remembered the guitarists' scenarios, also it bugged me pretty bad so I wasn't terribly invested in it.
The story begins the same as the others', with the protagonist finding herself suddenly in 1800s Japan at the mercy of five dragon gods. Mahiro freaks out to find a human woman at his shrine and threatens to kill her when Junji steps in and stops him. Mahiro relents and lets her stay at the shrine. That night, Junji confronts the protagonist and tells her she needs to show with her actions, not just her words, that she’s willing to help them, which apparently means sitting still and allowing Junji to pretend he’s going to kiss her before he pulls back and laughs. “looool jk u shoulda seen ur face u really thought i was gonna kiss u loooooooooooooool!”
The next day, it’s agreed that the protagonist will go to the establishment Yoidzuki and do work as an oiran to try and gather information for Kiryu on demons, as they cannot return to the Ryuuguu without eradicating all demons from earth. The protagonist spends the night drinking with Tomoya, a high ranking official in the Meiji military. In addition to having something of a man-crush on Junji, he tells the protagonist of a demon called the Bakeneko, or Cat Demon. The protagonist takes this information back to Kiryu.
The six set out for the Bakeneko’s shrine, using the protagonist as bait to lure out the cat demon. Junji saves the day, but gets injured in the process. They take him back to the shrine, where he develops a fever from the poison in the cat’s claws and the protagonist does her best to nurse him back to health and cook for him, which makes him very happy as “no one has cooked for me before.” The protagonist begins to realize she’s falling in love with him.
Also, at some point, the Bakeneko returns in a harmless form, looking to help Kiryu, and Mahiro decides he likes it better than his comrades. Junji names it Takemaru.
At Yoidzuki, a rumor begins that ghosts are haunting the place. Protagonist tells Kiryu, and they decide that every day, one member of Kiryu will go and request her while simultaneously looking for clues about how to draw out the ghost of the Botan Doro, but Junji is scheduled to be last, as he is still recovering from his wounds. The first day brings Mr. Kujou, who does not look for clues, but proceeds to get very, very drunk until Hiyori is called to carry him back home. Some of the oiran allude to the fact they know Hiyori is a man, which puzzles the protagonist as clearly Hiyori is female. Mitsuki comes the second day, refusing to drink. He says he noticed the protagonist and Junji have become close, and asks if Junji told her he already has a fiancee. This breaks the protagonist’s heart and he devotes the rest of the night to comforting her instead of looking for demons. The third day, Mahiro comes, immediately finds the seal protecting the place from the Botan Doro, and stabs the ghost to death.
The latest demon issue resolved, the protagonist goes to work the next day and is requested, much to her surprise. She walks into the room to find none other than Junji, who felt left out that he never got to drink with her. She brings up the fact that he has a fiancee and he promises it doesn’t mean anything. He kisses her and she runs away.
After a while, Junji decides he’d like the protagonist to accompany him to the dojo he owns to learn how to fight; however, for unclear reasons, he decides she’d better disguise herself as a boy named Ryuu. Junji spends all day teasing “Ryuu” during their practice fights and making the girls at the dojo accuse the two of being gay together.
Suddenly, Hayato barges into the dojo, demanding to fight Junji. “If I win, you must give the dojo to me!” he proclaims, and for... reasons I can’t understand, Junji agrees. In any case, Junji wins, and Hayato throws himself at Junji’s feet, begging Junji to take him on as an apprentice, and again, Junji agrees for some reason.
The days are busy for the protagonist, training during the day at the dojo and working as an oiran at night. Tomoya eventually joins the dojo and the protagonist tells him that she’s a pair of identical twins. Tomoya confesses to “Ryuu” that he is in love with Ryuu’s “twin.” Meanwhile Codomo Dragon joins the dojo as well and constantly pick on “Ryuu.”
At Yoidzuki, the protagonist picks up on a new rumor that though it is spring, corpses have been found on the edge of town frozen to death. Mitsuki and Mahiro begin searching for the cause. One day at the dojo, Junji and the protagonist are called away immediately by Kiryu to come help fight the demon they’ve found. They travel to the edge of the village and find a snowstorm. It’s voted that Takemasa should be the one to go check it out, but Junji and the protagonist volunteer to accompany him. In the snow, they discover a fallen woman whose face is obscured by long, black hair. She immediately sees through everyone’s disguises and accuses them of being liars. Junji realizes this is the Yuki Joro and begins trying to fight her, telling the protagonist not to meet her gaze or she’ll be frozen to death. The rest of Kiryu joins the fight and defeat the snow woman, but Junji, Takemasa and the protagonist appear to be suffering from hypothermia. They decide to return to the dojo.
At the dojo, the Meiji government has stepped in and announces it is searching for the Dragonball. Kiryu does its best to pretend they have no idea what that is while trying to take care of the three frozen members. Junji cuddles up with the protagonist beneath a blanket. After the Meiji military leaves, Hayato tells Kiryu he followed them and saw the battle with the Yuki Joro and knows who and what they are and that he knows they have the Dragonball.
Junji and the protagonist spend more and more time with each other until Junji promises to forget his fiancee in favor of the protagonist and they agree to be a couple in secret.
One night, while Junji walks the protagonist through town, a cart nearly topples over on top of the protagonist and almost kills her... but doesn’t, sadly. A mysterious figure seems disappointed.
The next day, the two are walking together again when they notice a white-haired woman fleeing. She runs into Junji, and he identifies her with alarm as his fiancee, Otohime. He takes her back to the shrine, but Kiryu immediately tries to reject her. Mahiro suddenly stops complaining about the protagonist, raving that she’s been super helpful to them and their mission. Mitsuki flat-out tells Otohime to go screw herself and Hiyori and Takemasa sulk around, whispering bad things about her, but Junji seems enchanted by his fiancee, spending every moment with her. Hiyori warns the protagonist that there’s nothing worse than a jealous female god. In the halls at night, Otohime confronts the protagonist, stating ONCE AGAIN that she’s Junji’s fiancee and that the protagonist should back off.
At the dojo, the Codomo Unit agrees that they prefer the protagonist to Otohime and wish the latter would go back to wherever she came from. I don’t really understand why, though. Why do we constantly have to compare the two female characters? Why do we have to pit them against each other? I’ve always had groups of friends that were half male and half female and I have literally never noticed conversations like this occurring organically. Besides, no one even knows the protagonist is a girl, why would... uuuUUUGGHHHH. Why do they two girls have to hate each other? In my opinion, Junji’s the one who’s in the wrong in this situation for lying and being indirect and leading both women on. I feel bad for Otohime. He promised to marry her; who am I to waltz in and take that away from her?
Hayato challenges the protagonist to a duel to get her mind off Otohime, but the protagonist is so distracted that Hayato falls over on top of her and discovers with a strategically-placed hand that she’s actually a girl. The protagonist makes him promise to keep it secret.
Junji tells everyone later that the Dragonball is missing; as it turns out, not only is the Dragonball missing, but so are the special items that belong to the White Tiger (Codomo Dragon) and Black Tortoise (Royz).
Just then a monster is seen, calling all three groups to come and fight it. Otohime reveals that she summoned it with the three artifacts, knowing that once Kiryu was done fighting this last demon, they would have to return to the Ryuuguu and she and Junji could finally be married. Junji is appalled at her, having realized why she was running when they first met (she stole Royz’s artifact). He then demands to know how she managed to come to earth, and she tells him that she sold her soul to be reunited with him once she saw him making out with the protagonist. The protagonist uses the Dragonball to fight off the last demon, but Otohime is gravely injured and without a soul, she will not move on to the next life. The protagonist fights with all her might to keep Otohime from dying and is able to save her and kill the last demon, but by doing so, the protagonist is sent back to 2017.
The protagonist goes about life again as before at her company. Eventually the events she underwent begin to fade like a dream - though she felt she was gone for a year, only a week or so went by in present day, and no one really noticed her absence. She misses Junji terribly and visits a cherry blossom tree like one he was fond of to mourn her loss of him... only to have him approach her, having... magically... found a way to present day to take her back?
In the end, Otohime lives and decides to be fwiends with the protagonist, who will now marry Junji, and everyone lives... happily ever after?

I need everyone to know that in my DND campaign today we were doing a job for what was essentially the fish mafia, and I turned to the dm and said "PLEASE let the boss be called koiryu" and long story short that's how we ended up with a session that was just 40% yakuza references

So I've been in the middle of Koiryu's Hiyori scenario and my favorite thing so far has been when Hiyorin and the Protagonist have been rescued by Hayato and Chamu when suddenly Mitsuki barges in, dragging the rest of Codomo Dragon with him, beaten to pulp, offering an exchange of hostages in a non hostage scenario.

Bakumatsu Meiji ~Koisuru Ryuujin-Sama~ Takemasa scenario synopsis
Mitsuki’s story can be found here.
Takemasa's storyline picks up where Mahiro is about to stab the protagonist to death upon meeting her for the first time at the dragon shrine. Kujou steps in and calmly stops Mahiro before he can land a blow, pointing out that she is the savior promised to help them. Mahiro voices his doubts, but ultimately believes his companions. The protagonist says something right away to raise red flags that she's not from this time period, which softens the group, realizing they have that in common, that they were taken from their homes and brought here against their will. Mahiro promises to help her find a way back home if she can promise to help them. She agrees, and Junji makes a comment about letting her stay in his room for the night. Kujou whispers to her that while Mahiro is dangerous, Junji is a different kind of dangerous. The protagonist spends the night with Hiyori instead.
The next day, Hiyori gives the protagonist a tour of the shrine while informing her of her duties as an oiran in Yoidzuki, where Kujou works. Kujou walks her to the establishment and introduces her to Kikyo, the head oiran, and leaves her in her care. Kikyo and the other oiran immediately dislike the protagonist, thinking Kujou brought her there because he wants her for himself. They tell her that rather than acting as an oiran on this first night, she'll be asked to clean up and send her away to a secluded room.
Kujou finds her by herself and is displeased that she hasn't changed into an oiran kimono yet. He takes her by the hand and leads her to another room to get changed, telling the protagonist to hurry and take off her current kimono. The protagonist panics as he corners her and places a hand on her obi. He smirks and clarifies that she doesn't need to get naked, she can leave the bottom layer of the kimono on; it's the outer layer that needs to be changed. He says he needs to help her since she's obviously never tied an oiran kimono together before. She obediently sheds the outer layer and lets him help her into the new garment. He ties the obi for her and helps do up her hair, telling her she's beautiful, and if he was a customer, he'd choose her first.
While the other oiran aren't looking, he pushes her into a room with two Royz members, Kuina and Tomoya. The three chat and drink together and eventually tell the protagonist of a demon called the Sunekosuri, a small, furry animal that looks cute but is evil. Kuina proclaims he's very drunk and would like to be led to a private room where he can lie down, telling Tomoya to go home without him. The protagonist helps him to another room, where he drops the drunk act and begins trying to kiss her, revealing that "oiran" is basically a half step above being a flat-out prostitute. She screams and Kujou enters to save the day, sending the protagonist out while he deals with Kuina, making up an excuse like that she's a special virgin oiran and letting her be taken on her first night will spoil her for another customer.
Once work is over, Kujou quietly reprimands the protagonist for causing such a scene and firmly states that having sex might become part of her job. He says he got her out of trouble that one time, but in the future, she'd better take care not to be so resistant.
They return to the shrine together and Kujou immediately states that nothing interesting at all happened that night. The protagonist quietly disagrees, saying she obtained information about a demon called the Sunekosuri. Even Kujou is surprised that she was able to get information so quickly. They leave immediately to find it.
At the shrine, the group breaks into three pairs: Mahiro and Hiyori, Mitsuki and Junji, and Kujou and the protagonist. Once alone together, Kujou corners the protagonist and accuses her of being a spy for Meiji, disbelieving that she was able to get information on her first night. He has no time to do anything about it, though, as soon the Sunekosuri appears. They hide together beneath something, with him on top of her. The fur of the Sunekosuri brushes the protagonist's foot and she jumps. Kujou hisses at her, accusing her of trying to seduce him. Once the demon is gone, they stand and Kujou comments that it would be dangerously easy to fall in love with her.
They summon the other Kiryu members to fight. The Sunekosuri is defeated pretty easily and Hiyori purifies its soul with a spell. On the way back to the shrine, Hiyori suggests they all go have a picnic the next day to celebrate and look at the cherry blossoms.
At the shrine, Junji asks the protagonist how she's doing. She admits what happened to her at Yoidzuki and how scared she is of being sold. Junji offers to buy her, saying he would be better than a stranger. The protagonist agrees to consider his offer if it comes to that, but also wonders what Kujou would think, as Junji and Kujou don't seem to get along well.
The next day, the six leave to look at cherry blossoms and have lunch. They drink and chat, asking the protagonist if she has a boyfriend back home and revealing they all think she's cute. Eventually Kujou sits beside her and apologizes for the night before. Junji says it's unacceptable that he almost let the protagonist be raped and says the next time something happens, he'll be the one to buy her to keep her out of the hands of a stranger. Kujou is upset that she confided in Junji, but not terribly angry. He tells her she can confide anything in him and he'll do his best to help her.
When they come back from their picnic, Kiryu discovers a small, furry thing hiding outside of their shrine. They recognize it as a small, harmless version of the Sunekosuri. Kujou hates it, but the protagonist loves it, so they agree to keep it as a pet and creatively name it "Sunekosuri."
At Yoidzuki, the protagonist meets Yume of Codomo Dragon, who claims she looks familiar; however, having only just arrived in that time period, the protagonist insists it's highly unlikely they know each other.
Over the next few days, the protagonist comes to learn that Kujou is very popular with the oiran at Yoidzuki, and that she, herself, is not. Most of the oiran appear to have crushes on him and are jealous that he brought her in and that they seem to know each other; however, because they all work at the same establishment, it's against the rules for any of them to have an affair.
Yume returns frequently to Yoidzuki to request the protagonist and eventually tells her of a rumor he heard about Kiryu, that they possessed an item called the Dragonball that could have the power to send someone through time. The protagonist gets excited, and when she returns home, she immediately runs to the forbidden peony room to look at it.
She finds the crystal ball and places her hands on it, seeing a vision of her office in 2016, and she realizes it's likely this really could send her home. At that moment, her wrist is grabbed by Mahiro, who snuck up on her while she was distracted. She apologizes profusely, noting that he doesn't have his katana on him but not doubting that he might really kill her for trespassing. Instead of being angry, Mahiro promises to forgive her and answer all her questions if she sleeps with him. She runs away, and he comments to himself that he's intrigued by her ability to restore light to the Dragonball.
The protagonist runs through the halls, seeking safety with Kujou, remembering his promise to protect her. Mitsuki finds her instead, thinking she had a nightmare, and walks her back to her own room, because he’s just adorable.
The next day, Mahiro finds the protagonist and offers to walk to Yoidzuki with her. Hiyori is amused, but the protagonist is terrified and repeatedly tells him no until he leaves her alone.
At Yoidzuki, a new staff member is introduced: Chamu of Codomo Dragon. He insists he'll take over the protagonist's management, removing her from the safety of Kujou's watchful gaze. She's assigned to drink with two Royz members, Subaru and Koudai. Koudai gets drunk and takes off his shirt. Chamu steps in and removes her from the room. Once she stands, she realizes she's had more to drink than she'd realized, and passes out in Chamu's arms.
When she wakes up, Kujou is tending to her in a private room. She sits up, embarrassed. He tells her Chamu pointed out to the upper management at Yoidzuki she wasn't appearing to be sold to anyone, and they might try to sell her now as a prostitute. She begins crying. Kujou asks if she even knows what sex is and offers that either he or Chamu can teach her what to do with a customer. She stammers that she can't make a decision like that. Kujou touches the side of her face sympathetically, then leans in and kisses her through his mask. He stands immediately and apologizes, fleeing the room and leaving her to walk back to the dragon shrine on her own.
The next day, Kiryu decides the weather is nice, so they all would like to get lunch together at Irodori, their favorite tea house. Kujou and the protagonist act awkwardly around each other. On their way to Irodori, she stops and looks at a hairpiece. Kujou stops to look as well, commenting that it's very pretty. Junji steps in and tells Kujou he wouldn't look good with it and Kujou gets angry. They finally arrive at Irodori and eat together, served by Menmen. The rest of Codomo Dragon joins. Mahiro tries to start a fight with them but they all end up eating together, then invite Kiryu to go to the beach together later.
Kujou finds the protagonist after work at Yoidzuki and apologizes again for the way he's been acting. He teaches her a little more about how to act and serve tea, then gives her a present - a new kimono, short so she can wear it at the beach (no, really, it's like... really short. It's really short). She accepts it, and he uses it to teach her how to tie it properly on her own. He also tells her he told the management that she's an apprentice, training with him, therefore she can't be sold to customers just yet, so she doesn't need to worry about that anymore for the time being.
Kiryu goes to the beach together. Mahiro makes a comment about the protagonist's kimono, and she ends up telling them it's a gift from a customer. Hiyori comments anyone willing to give a gift like that must be trying to buy her - Kujou protests, but doesn't admit he was the one who bought it. They meet up with Codomo Dragon and begin their beach party. Partway through, they realize they can hear a strange sound and realize they've stumbled across a sea demon. The water pulls back and Junji shouts for everyone to hold their breath before an enormous wave crashes over them. Kujou grasps the protagonist tightly, but something grabs her leg and attempts to pull her out into the depths. Frightened, Kujou transforms into a LITERAL DRAGON to fight it. The other members of Kiryu begin screaming at him to come back and change back to a human at once, but Kujou doesn't listen. The spectacle reveals their identity to Codomo Dragon, who were secretly the white tigers, the dragons' nemises all along. Kiryu and Codomo Dragon begin fighting each other as Kujou deals with the sea demon. The Meiji government, Royz, rushes in, and both Kiryu and Codomo Dragon agree to call a truce with each other so as not to be arrested. Royz leaves before Kujou stumbles back, badly injured from his fight. Everyone agrees to leave things as they are for now to get Kujou medical attention. Junji is their doctor, but knowing he and Kujou aren't on good terms and wanting to show her gratitude for saving her life, the protagonist offers instead to care for him.
After he's been patched up, Kujou reveals to the protagonist that Yume of Codomo Dragon has been by Yoidzuki several times asking for her, but that he's sent him to another girl every time out of jealousy.
Later at Yoidzuki, Yume succeeds in seeing the protagonist and revealing that he's also from 2016 and was sent to find her. He was her senior coworker at their company, and they had an affair but had to keep it secret. The protagonist panics upon realizing she's forgotten so much about her former life. When she returns to the dragon shrine, she sneaks back into the peony room once more to look into the Dragonball and see if there are any other memories she'd forgotten.
It's Kujou who catches her this time. She begins crying, telling him Yume was from her own time and had come all this way for her... and even though he'd done so much for her, she isn't sure she wants to go back with him. Kujou tells her she doesn't need to go if she doesn't want to. She cries in frustration and Kujou holds her. She eventually cries herself to sleep in his arms.
In the morning, Hiyori catches the protagonist and comments it looks as though she's been crying all night. The protagonist agrees, and the two go to Irodori together, where the protagonist tells Hiyori everything about Yume and having fallen in love with Kujou. Hiyori thinks it's sweet and urges her to ask him out to the upcoming Tenkasai festival.
Later, the protagonist and Kujou work together at Yoidzuki when Kikyo, the head oiran, runs in, exclaiming she's heard a rumor that the Royz unit of the Meiji government has supposedly learned of the dragon gods' whereabouts. Kujou and the protagonist return to the shrine at once to find Mahiro and Hiyori being apprehended. Kujou tells her he'll go after them while she's to sneak in and get the Dragonball before they can find it. She saves both it and the Sunekosuri as Junji and Mitsuki return to do battle with Royz. Codomo Dragon also steps in, deciding that between Kiryu and Royz, they're on Kiryu's side. Kiryu changes into dragons, Royz changes into a giant dragon-like black tortoise, and Codomo Dragon morphs into a giant white tiger. Royz spots the protagonist and realize she's getting away with the Dragonball, their main objective. They go after her and accidentally bite her. They change back to their human forms immediately, chastising Kuina and saying they're not allowed to kill humans or they'll never be allowed to return to their home. The protagonist passes out from blood loss.
Days later the protagonist awakens in the dragon shrine. Kujou is immediately by her side, saying how worried he was that she wouldn't pull through. She comments this doesn't seem like him to be so serious and worried, and while I agree with that of the real person, this is pretty true to his character. He tells her that Royz gave up and agreed to leave them alone after the fight, and thanks to her that they still have the Dragonball and the Sunekosuri. They hear noises from outside the room and discover Codomo Dragon listening in on them. Kujou reveals that they were invited to live together in the dragon shrine, but makes it clear he doesn't want them to know anything about the Dragonball and when asked what he's doing in the protagonist's room, he claims he's just asking her out to the Tenkasai festival if she's feeling well enough to go. He urges her to play along as though he thinks there's a possibility she'll say no, and Codomo Dragon leaves.
The day of the Tenkasai festival arrives. Hiyori, Mahiro, Kujou and the protagonist treat it as a double date (Junji is playing taiko drums at the festival and Mitsuki is carrying a mikoshi so they can't join the group). Hiyori takes Mahiro and leads him off somewhere, leaving Kujou and the protagonist by themselves. They give up on trying to find the others and instead try to find a place to watch the fireworks. They find a place and Kujou tells her to stay while he gets her something to drink. After he leaves, a couple of men approach the protagonist and try to drag her off, but Kujou reappears just in time to save her.
Alone once more, Kujou comments that this is the first time they've ever been truly on their own together, and how scandalous it is, as she's an oiran and he's her superior... and also how dragons and humans were never meant to fall in love. He confesses that he's fallen in love with her, and how he can't stand to see her with anyone else. He tells her to close her eyes as he removes his mask to kiss her as the fireworks begin to fall.
The next day at Yoidzuki, Chamu pulls the protagonist off to the side to tell her he knows something's up between her and Kujou, and warns her that an affair would be a terrible idea, not only for business but for her general wellbeing, as once the demons are gone, Kujou will disappear back to the Ryuuguu forever. He reminds her that Kujou is manipulative and good at keeping secrets. The protagonist is furious and acts coldly toward him at work, upsetting Kujou.
They return home and he confronts her, asking what's wrong. She tells him what Chamu told her, and Kujou promises he'll never leave her side, not even if all the demons have been defeated. When she asks about the legend saying he'll die if he falls in love with her, he says that he heard if their love is strong enough, they can overcome it. They sleep together to prove their love for one another.
Kujou and the protagonist begin spending more time together. He mentions wanting to take her to a shrine and get her a special charm, but the shrine he has in mind is too far away for them to go to. At work, they begin raising more suspicion from the other oiran and rumors begin spreading about them (even though they assumed she was his from the start?).
One night while walking home alone, the protagonist sees Chamu acting strangely. It turns out he's being possessed by a demon called Kagee no Karasu and he attacks her. Junji steps in, as do the rest of Codomo Dragon, to do battle with the shadowy demon. Kujou joins at the very last minute to save the day.
(I apologize, this part is kind of fuzzy because I could play maybe two chapters in a row before having to wait months for the continuation, so it's all kind of choppy in my head and by the time I could unlock the next chapter, sometimes I'd forgotten where I'd left off)
One day at Yoidzuki, Chamu warns the protagonist once more she needs to stop being so obvious about her affair with Kujou. She tries to tell Kujou, but before she has a chance to, she's called in to entertain a large group of Meiji officials (one being Kuina) alongside several other oiran. An elderly official gets drunk and demands to be allowed to purchase the protagonist, flaunting his money and rank. The protagonist tries using Kujou's excuse that she's just training to be an oiran to get out of it, but the other oiran insist she's been working there for well over a year now and her training period is over. Just as all looks lost, Kuina spills his drink all over her and begins yelling that it's her fault, telling her to leave the room and not bother coming back because he's sick of looking at her. She rushes out and finds Kujou helplessly listening in. He takes her into his arms immediately and begins demanding to know what happened, indicating he's willing to storm in and punch Kuina for ruining her kimono, consequences be damned - but the protagonist wants nothing more than to get away. While they argue, the old man comes out of the room to find his desired oiran being held by another man - a staff member of Yoidzuki, no less. He smirks that he now understands everything, then promises to go over Kujou's head and take the protagonist for himself as he forces Kujou to watch. Kujou snaps and punches the old man, knocking him down. The sound draws attention from inside the room and everyone rushes outside to see what happened, presumably with Kuina holding his head in his hands from the frustration of handing the protagonist a Get Out of Jail Free card only to watch her waltz right back into trouble. The oiran begin accusing the protagonist of evilly seducing dear Mr. Kujou. She knows they'll both get into trouble if the truth gets out, so she declares everyone is wrong: there's nothing going on between her and Kujou, he merely happened to be passing by as she exited the room and saw her crying because her kimono was ruined and was only trying to comfort her. It was at that moment the old man stepped out of the room and slipped in the alcohol that had dripped off her. She finishes by saying she hates Mr. Kujou and could never love him. The old man yells she's a liar, she points out he's drunk and is looking to start trouble, and Kujou is horrified that she would say she could never love him.
Chamu interjects to announce Yume has arrived. Yume reveals that he is a member of a noble household (I don't really understand how this works since he's from 2016. They tried to explain it but I just still don't get it), and therefore a higher rank and richer than the old man. He announces he's considering buying the protagonist to be exclusively his, so it doesn't matter anymore if anyone else wants her (and apparently it also doesn't matter that a worker at Yoidzuki punched a customer). This ends the fight.
Once free, the protagonist tries to confront Kujou in the dragon shrine, but to her surprise, he doesn't act upset at all. He calmly tells her he realizes how much trouble he's caused her and it wasn't fair to her for him to selfishly try and take an oiran for himself. She tells him to stop talking like that, but Kujou has already made up his mind to break off their relationship.
Days later, the dragon shrine falls under the attack of the final demon, Hadoma's Demon. Kiryu attempts to fight it off as it seeks the Dragonball. The protagonist gets it away from him and SOMEHOW GOD MODE IS ACTIVATED AND SHE IS ABLE TO FIRE LIKE LASERS FROM IT AND HOLY CRAP GUYS IS THIS REALLY A THING AND IF SO WHY HAVE WE NOT USED IT EARLIER IT WOULD HAVE SOLVED SO MANY ISSUES. ARE YOU PLAGUED BY RAPEY OLD MEN? BAM, LASER TO THE PENIS. OTHER OIRAN MAKING FUN OF YOU? THEY'LL HAVE TROUBLE MAKING FUN OF YOU AFTER YOU GIVE THEM A NEW TONGUE SURGERY WITH LASERS. DEMONS WILL FALL ONCE YOU GIVE THEM A TASTE OF LASOR SANDWICH. GIRL YOU GET KUJOU BACK AND YOU HAVE IT ALL, LASERS AND A LITERAL DRAGON FOR A BOYFRIEND. NOTHING CAN STOP YOU.
Ahem... that being said, the protagonist uses her magical Dragonball laser beam to defeat the last demon on her own, which... you know, good for her, it's about time she did something useful. However, it's just a little late, as Kujou is on the brink of death. He has time to give her the charm he mentioned earlier, pulling it from his blood-soaked pocket, before he passes out.
The days Kujou is unconscious, the protagonist clutches the charm tightly, despite Kiryu pointing out it's still covered in Kujou's blood and kinda gross. She still goes to Yoidzuki though there is no reason for her to anymore, and once the demons are gone, Royz and Codomo Dragon disappear as well.
One day she's requested, much to her surprise. She enters the room and finds her customer is... Kujou.
He tells her he's mostly recovered, and that he went to Yoidzuki's staff and apologized, and... apparently they're cool with everything. He tells her there's one last thing: Now that the final demon has been defeated, Kiryu may be forced to return to the Ryuuguu. He wanted to see her one last time before he leaves to ask permission to stay on earth with her.
...And that's where I am. I suspect when I unlock the next chapter, it'll be the last and will say Kujou can stay. Hooray. LASERS AND DRAGON BOYFRIEND!

Bakumatsu Meiji ~Koisuru Ryuujin-Sama~ Mitsuki scenario synopsis
So I finished the Mitsuki storyline in Koiryu.
To the best of my recollection, this is how it all went down:
The protagonist is transported from 2016 to Bakumatsu Meiji era Japan while visiting the Amaterasu shrine with her friend Akane on the night of a full moon. Mitsuki, Junji and Takemasa find her, but begin talking about how Mahiro will kill her if he discovers her there, since he hates humans and hates women especially. She flees and encounters Hiyori, who apprehends her. They tie her up and debate what to do, Takemasa offering to claim she’s his sister or simply dispose of her. Hiyori remembers the prophecy that a hero will arrive on the night of a full moon and thinks this is the protagonist. Just then, Mahiro returns home and is furious to find a stranger in his shrine, claiming she must be a spy from the Meiji government and attempting to strangle her. Mitsuki steps in and the two get into a fight that ends with Mitsuki injured, but this shows Mahiro she must be worth saving. She’s led from the room to change out of the clothes that are soaked in Mitsuki’s blood (romantic!) but can’t figure out how to do the kimono on her own. Junji waltzes into the room to help her, expounding more on what Kiryu is: they are five dragon gods sent from the dragon temple, Ryuuguu, by the goddess Amaterasu, to fight evil spirits in Japan, and they’re not allowed to return home until every last one has been destroyed. Hiyori discovers Junji in his/her (the game constantly refers to Hiyori as “she/her”) room with the protagonist and chases him out. In the common room once more, Kiryu tells the protagonist they’ll give her a choice whether or not to help them. Hiyori lets the protagonist spend the night in his/her room, but she can’t sleep and wanders outside to find Mitsuki playing the shamisen. She tries to thank him for saving her, but he won’t hear of it, claiming he was just defending the prophesied hero and… it was nothing personal, stupid… god…
Morning comes and the protagonist tells Kiryu she’s willing to help them fight demons. They suggest she work as an oiran in the red-light district to spy on the Meiji officials who frequent it to listen for information. They themselves need to stay out of the government’s sight because the government sees no difference between Kiryu and the demons. The protagonist agrees, despite not knowing what “oiran” means. Hiyori gives her a tour of the shrine and finally gives her a map to find the establishment, called Yoidzuki.
The protagonist sets off for town on her own but quickly gets lost. She’s confronted by three men who get excited when she says she’s an oiran. Mitsuki runs in to save the day before they can rape her, but opens his wounds from the night before in the process. He shrugs it off and again claims he wasn’t saving the protagonist for her sake. He then asks what she’s doing out here, and when he sees Hiyori’s map, he crumples it into a ball and says he’ll take her the rest of the way because the map makes no sense.
He delivers her to Yoidzuki and promises to come get her when her work is finished. She starts work and begins crying. Finally she’s called to see a customer, Koudai, a member of the Meiji government (in this game, Meiji is played by Royz). They drink and chat for a while, Koudai throwing in a random “by the way, don’t fall in love with a dragon god or it will kill them,” before he tells her of the Bakeinu, a demon dog spirit that’s been killing people. Her shift ends and she finds Mahiro waiting for her outside, not Mitsuki. Mahiro says Mitsuki couldn’t make it and asked him to get her instead. When asked why Mitsuki was unable to come, Mahiro says Mitsuki was terribly wounded and collapsed the moment he returned to the dragon shrine, vindicating Mahiro that the protagonist is nothing but trouble.
Once back at the shrine, a meeting is called to ask what the protagonist learned. She tells them of the dog demon, and they agree to leave to fight it the next night. Mahiro insists he wants the protagonist to come, much to her confusion, since Mahiro said she was nothing but trouble. She turns to Junji for help, who asks Mahiro just why they’re taking her, and Mahiro reveals he intends to use her as bait.
The next night they leave to fight. Once at the shrine they suspect to be the home of the dog demon, they decide to split off into three pairs: Mahiro and Junji, Kujou and Hiyori, and Mitsuki and the protagonist. Mitsuki complains the entire time until the dog demon appears. He tries to hide the protagonist in a safe, secluded spot, but she clings to his sleeve and makes him fight with one hand while holding her with the other because FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Eventually Mahiro and Junji join the fight, but it’s ultimately Mitsuki who deals the final blow that kills the demon. Hiyori casts a spell that purifies the demon’s soul and the protagonist faints, because I guess she got injured when she kept getting in the way and forcing Mitsuki to fight while holding her. Despite suffering injuries from three separate fights, all three of which were her fault, Mitsuki offers to give her a piggy back ride back to the shrine. Once on his back, he makes a comment about her boobs and she begins shrieking that he’s sexually harassing her, but he doesn’t understand the word (sekuhara, borrowed and abbreviated from English) and is just confused.
The next day, the dragon shrine is visited by a stray dog that vaguely resembles the Bakeinu. The protagonist goes crazy for it and Hiyori determines it must be the Bakeinu seeking repentance. The rest of Kiryu comes home and Mitsuki says she can keep the dog, and he names it Watagashi (cotton candy, which wasn’t a thing in Meiji era but whatever) for its white fur.
The protagonist begins to settle in at the dragon shrine and grow accustomed to working in Yoidzuki. She’s visited every so often by Meiji officials (Royz) and a group of ronin warriors (Codomo Dragon). Upon meeting Subaru, he asks the protagonist if they’ve ever met before. She says no.
Eventually she learns of an item called the Dragonball that Kiryu is said to possess that could possibly send her home. She recalls Hiyori’s tour of the shrine and how she was warned never to enter the peony room. Once she returns home, she sneaks into the peony room to find an object like a crystal ball. When she puts her hands on it, she can see into her room in 2016, but before she can do anything else, Mitsuki finds her and begins berating her for sneaking into the room. Takemasa knocks, hearing voices, and Mitsuki and the protagonist hide together to avoid him. Once Takemasa is gone, Mitsuki asks the protagonist if she’s really from Meiji. She says no. Mitsuki says to keep everything about this meeting a secret; the fact she was in the peony room, her ability to use the Dragonball, and the fact she’s not from this time period.
Later he finds her outside the shrine and drags her to a secluded bridge and warns her this is a dangerous place for her, that she should always be on her guard and to take care to stay away from him, and never reveal to other people she knows him.
The next time the protagonist goes to Yoidzuki, she’s confronted by two men (Chamu and Menmen from Codomo Dragon). They ask her to come with them, but she refuses. They say something about her being “that fighter’s woman” and Mitsuki takes his cue to beat them both up, saying “no one touches my woman except for me.”
Some time after that the protagonist wakes up and finds Mitsuki begging Hiyori to go with him to Irodori, a popular tea house, because they’re serving a special kind of treat only to couples. Hiyori insists he’s/she’s dieting (another thing I don’t think was a thing in Meiji) and tells Mitsuki to take the protagonist instead. He angrily grabs her hand and drags her there. They spend the afternoon at Irodori and encounter Codomo Dragon, who convince the two to go drinking with them. Mitsuki proceeds to get super drunk, and I guess it might be possible to play this scene without drama but I ended up getting into a fight with him over how a couple should act. The two return to the shrine, bickering the entire way, before Mitsuki asks if it would be possible for her to love him, then straight up passing out, and because the protagonist was helping carry him back, he falls and passes out on top of her.
Somehow the two make it back to the shrine. Hiyori cheerfully takes care of the protagonist as she recovers from her hangover the next morning, and tells her he/she prepared a bath for her. She enters the bath house and discovers Mitsuki and Watagashi are already there. Mitsuki seems to be doing fine and asks the protagonist if she remembers anything from the night before, seeming to not remember anything, himself. She claims to not remember anything, either.
Before he can leave, she makes him a bento lunch to eat while he goes and hunts down demons. He angrily accepts it, yelling “thanks” back at her as an afterthought.
Later Mitsuki gives her Satoko in return, his doll that’s supposed to ward off evil. She asks he needs it, and he says he found something that needs protection more than he does.
At Yoidzuki, Subaru visits the protagonist again, finally realizing why she looked familiar. He reveals he’s also from 2016, and that Akane had called him after the protagonist vanished at the Amaterasu shrine. The protagonist recalls that she and Subaru were a couple before he broke up with her suddenly; it was that event that inspired Akane to invite the protagonist to Amaterasu, thinking a vacation would help cheer her up. Subaru insists he’s there to take her home, but she won’t hear of it and runs out of Yoidzuki. Mitsuki waits outside and is alarmed to see her crying. He holds her as she tells him everything she’s just remembered. He tells her this is her home, and she needn’t go back to 2016 if she doesn’t want to.
At the shrine, Mitsuki tells the protagonist he wants her to quit her oiran job, but she refuses, wanting to be helpful to Kiryu. Mitsuki gets angry and storms out.
Back in Yoidzuki, the protagonist notices a strange child wandering around and passes out when she gets too close to it. She asks around and learns it must be a demon called Hana Ichimonme.
She brings the information to Kiryu. They claim they’re going to wait to fight it, but instead sneak out in secret during the night so the protagonist won’t follow. She does, of course, and Codomo Dragon, who have been spying on her, follow too. Kiryu arrives at a shrine and is ambushed by a horde of demon ghost children who immediately overtake Takemasa, leaving Hiyori to try and defend him alone. The protagonist steps in (intending to do what is a mystery), and Codomo Dragon also reveal themselves. The two groups fight side by side. They win, but Takemasa and (Kana?) have both suffered great wounds, the latter risking death if he’s not tended to immediately. The protagonist faints, and sees flashes of 2016. When she wakes up, Mitsuki is holding her tightly, claiming she disappeared for a moment. Mahiro demands to know what’s going on, and Mitsuki reveals she’s from the future and has the ability to use the Dragonball, and says not to be mad at her; he specifically told her to keep it secret since Mahiro was already so opposed to her. There’s no time to be angry, however. Kiryu reluctantly agrees to take Codomo Dragon back to the dragon shrine to tend to their wounds. Mitsuki is told to carry Takemasa and Mahiro carries the protagonist.
It takes a few days for the two groups to recover, but once they’re well, Mahiro agrees to let Codomo Dragon stay and live in the dragon shrine with them. The protagonist is asked to prepare alcohol to celebrate. Hayato tries to help her and almost admits he’s in love with her before Mitsuki furiously steps in and drags her back to his room, demanding to know what her relationship with Hayato is. He’s calmed only a little to know she doesn’t have feelings for him, and he admits how terrified he was when the protagonist disappeared. He swears no one will ever take her from him, not the Meiji government, not Codomo Dragon, not the other members of Kiryu, and that he’ll hold her so tightly even her own time can never steal her away. They kiss and the protagonist admits she’s been in love with him the whole time. He says he loves her as well, and the screen goes black.
The sun rises on the protagonist and Mitsuki together. She attempts to brush his hair from his sleeping face and wakes him by accident. At first, he doesn’t remember why she’s there and accuses her of trying to attack him in his sleep, but he quickly remembers once he realizes they’re both naked. He makes a comment about it that upsets her, and she flees his room, calling him a pervert.
Mitsuki approaches the protagonist later to invite her to the Utsusemi festival. They have a good time together until Mitsuki spots something and runs off without her. Hayato follows and witnesses Mitsuki confront a demon called Daruma that he’s been hunting for years and apparently killed his teacher. Daruma threatens the protagonist’s life before disappearing. She catches up to Mitsuki. He kisses her and gives her a hair pin he’d bought earlier for her, then abruptly breaks up with her, telling sleeping with her was an accident and he never intended to be an actual couple.
The protagonist falls into a depression. Most of Kiryu and Codomo Dragon are worried about her, leading to Hiyori telling Mitsuki to take her into town to see a doctor, but I chose to tell Mitsuki to piss off because I’m pretty sure if I didn’t, he would have said it to the protagonist instead.
Night falls and the protagonist works quietly at Yoidzuki. A black cat with a sickeningly sweet scent approaches her and begins trying to attack her with its silver claws. Kuina appears and shoots the cat dead with his pistol, telling her it was a demon called Inai Inai, a being attracted by great sadness. The rest of Royz appears and point out that the sweet scent is usually enough to put normal human beings to sleep, and conclude that the protagonist must be working with Kiryu if she was able to withstand it (I’m not really sure how the logic works here. It’s true, but, like… totally irrelevant. YOUR FAVORITE COLOR IS PIZZA? THEN IT MUST BE RAINING IN MATH CLASS TODAY). They apprehend her and take her back to a Meiji government building for questioning. She refuses to give them any information. Subaru confronts her individually and tells her Mitsuki doesn’t love her and begs her to come back to 2017 with him. He reveals that there are three great groups of gods, the dragon (Kiryu), the white tiger (Codomo Dragon), and the black tortoise (Royz). All three groups were asked to come to earth to fight demons together, but because Amaterasu favored the dragons, Royz and Codomo Dragon hated Kiryu. Subaru says he doesn’t care for his role leading Royz and the black tortoise and would leave it in a heartbeat if only the protagonist would agree to go with him. She refuses. Koudai steps in with his gun and calls Subaru a traitor, revealing Royz also didn’t know Subaru wasn’t from this time. Mitsuki wanders in (guards? What guards? And what are locks?) and tells the protagonist it’s time to go home already, that she made everyone worry. Royz is angry but Mitsuki doesn’t care. Subaru makes Mitsuki promise to take care of her, and… I honestly don’t remember what his response was. It must have been something along the lines of “yeah, sure, whatever,” thus bringing peace between everyone everywhere that lasted until the end of time.
Mitsuki silently leads the protagonist back to the shrine, not wanting to talk to her or discuss what happened or even how he found her.
Kiryu and Codomo Dragon rejoice to have their protagonist back, even revealing Mahiro was worried. Hiyori tells the protagonist that despite his cold exterior, Mitsuki worried the most.
The next morning, the protagonist finds herself under house arrest, not allowed to leave the shrine for any reason, a rule implemented by our favorite tsundere red-haired guitarist. Hayato walks with her around the perimeter of the shrine and confesses his love for her while also calling her a spoiled brat for stealing the hearts of multiple men (again, true, but how is that her fault?). There seemed to be an option that could have indicated I changed my mind and chose Hayato instead, but I rebuked him, causing him to back down and admit he witnessed Mitsuki’s confrontation with Daruma and Daruma’s threat to kill the protagonist because he thought hurting her would hurt Mitsuki. Hayato insists Mitsuki is still in love with her and is hurting her to save her (claiming Hayato’s love for her is too great to put himself and his own happiness before helping her), and tells her she must go to him and confess her love for him (again?). Together, Codomo Dragon and the protagonist convince Hiyori to let the protagonist go and hunt down Mitsuki as he hunts for Daruma, the final and most powerful demon, in the name of true love. It’s so important that it can’t wait for him to come home at nightfall. Hiyori lets her go and tells her Mitsuki is hunting for Daruma at the kabuki theatre, probably in the hopes she gets herself killed for being so narrow-minded.
The protagonist finds Mitsuki, who is understandably angry at her, and the two have a shouting match until the protagonist is able to shout the loudest that she loves him, and Mitsuki embraces her, probably hoping that will shut her up. I mean, he already knew. There is no new information here. All of this could have waited. Daruma predictably appears and punches Mitsuki, sending him sprawling to the ground. He grabs the protagonist and threatens to send her back to her original time. He laughs that Mitsuki would have such a stupid weakness, and says he himself cares about nothing. The protagonist says that isn’t true; if Daruma went to so much trouble to make Mitsuki unhappy, that meant he cared about Mitsuki. Somehow this is a big revelation, and Mitsuki takes this opportunity to punch Daruma in the face with his sword. The protagonist blacks out again, Daruma appearing to try to make good on his last promise that the protagonist will return to her own time…
…but awakens to Mitsuki holding her, telling her Daruma has been defeated.
They return to the dragon shrine together and Codomo Dragon takes its leave, saying that now there are no more demons to fight, they will travel around and see the world. Hayato says something about not giving up on the protagonist, igniting Mitsuki’s jealousy again and he drags her back to his room, probably to make out.
Kiryu is disappointed that all the demons have been defeated and say they don’t want to go back to the Ryuuguu. Instead, they send Takemasa back against his will to ask if they have permission to play on earth longer. And if they don’t… they’ve only lost one Takemasa.
Days pass. One night, the protagonist exits Yoidzuki to find Mitsuki waiting for her. He excitedly tells her Takemasa returned, and they have permission to stay on earth as long as they’d like, meaning they’ll be together forever.
The end.
But… is it really, though? What about the legend saying dragon gods will die if they fall in love with humans? Does the protagonist really love her own happiness that much that she’s willing to cause Mitsuki’s death over it? What reason do the others have to stay? Sure, Junji runs his own dojo, but Mahiro doesn’t even have a job. And Hiyori doesn’t like playing th role of shrine maiden, if he stays, does that mean he can be his true self again or does he have to remain in that disguise? In the other storylines, Junji has a fiancee; what about her? That clearly means there are more dragons, and the fact they say at the beginning everyone knows Takemasa doesn’t have a sister means sisters… and by extension, families… are a thing back in the Ryuuguu. I mean, I know I have my own reasons for running away from the world I grew up in, but are you telling me all five of these people never want to see their families or friends again? What about Subaru? He clearly wanted to go home! Where is the closure? What the hell?
4/5 stars, two because I like Mitsuki’s face

Koiryu: Gekka Bijin event -Mahiro- (translated)
Prologue
Part 1
(What will I do...)
Already feeling myself trembling, I glanced over at Mahiro.
Kurosaki Mahiro: “What?”
Protagonist: “N-nothing.”
(I knew it... I really can’t bring myself to say something like that...)
Kurosaki Mahiro: “...?”
Without being able to answer, the conversation ended.
However...
The flower slowly began to open.
...
(What do I do? The Gekka Bijin is blossoming...)
The delicate petals turned toward the moon and displayed their beautiful form.
(They said I have until the flower fully blooms...)
Rustle... rustle...
Protagonist: “!! I-is someone there?”
I raised my voice to the sound of someone brushing through the leaves in the yard.
Protagonist: “...!”
(Could it be that the flower has already served as a signal for the people from the house that wants to take me away?)
I grew afraid and prepared to flee from my room.
Kurosaki Mahiro: “Hey.”
Protagonist: “Ahh! ...Mahiro?”
My door opened suddenly to reveal Mahiro standing in my doorway.
Kurosaki Mahiro: “Come with me.”
Protagonist: “Eh?”
He led me away from my room.
Protagonist: “Where are we going?”
Kurosaki Mahiro: “I saw a stranger outside, so for now we’re just getting away from your room.”
Protagonist: “Eh!”
(That sound really was someone...!)
Kurosaki Mahiro: “It could be that they anticipated the flower blossoming tonight and sent someone here...”
Protagonist: “Somone?”
Kurosaki Mahiro: “To kidnap you from us.”
Protagonist: “W-what...! What do I do, Mahiro?”
Kurosaki Mahiro: “Don’t worry about it. I won’t let that happen.”
Protagonist: “But the flower is going to blossom soon...!”
Kurosaki Mahiro: “That doesn’t mean things are over.”
Protagonist: “Eh?”
Mahiro stopped and touched his hand to my cheek.
Protagonist: “!!”
Mahiro’s expression faded as he faced me.
Kurosaki Mahiro: “Protagonist, I won’t ever let them have you. And if they do manage to take you away from us... I’ll just come and steal you back.”
My heart thudded in my chest at the sound of his words.
Kurosaki Mahiro: “That will be our legend, Protagonist, that no one will be able to take you from me...”
Mahiro touched his fingers to my lips.
Kurosaki Mahiro: “I don’t know if you’re really the Gekka Bijin or not, but we’ll find out, won’t we?”
Protagonist: “Mahiro...”
Kurosaki Mahiro: “I’m going to protect you, Protagonist.”
Those words sunk in to my heart and seemed to vanquish my unease.
(Mahiro... said he’ll protect me.)
At that thought, I could feel my chest overflowing with love for him.
Kurosaki Mahiro: “Protagonist...”
(...Ah.)
Mahiro drew closer and silently touched his lips to mine. He kissed me gently, rendering me unable to move.
(Mahiro... don’t stop...)
I placed a hand on Mahiro’s chest as I thought this.
???: “I’m here for the Gekka Bijin...!”
Protagonist: “!!”
(W-who’s there?)
When we turned, we saw two masked men standing and looking at us.
Man: “What do you think you’re doing to our noble Gekka Bijin!? Have you no shame?!”
Kurosaki Mahiro: “Huh? What the hell?”
Man: “Lady Gekka Bijin, we’ve arrived just in time to save you. Please bestow eternal prosperity upon our house.”
Protagonist: “!!”
(What do I do...? These men are undoubtedly from the house that wants to take me away!)
Mahiro pushed me behind him.
Kurosaki Mahiro: “There is no Gekka Bijin here.”
Man: “W-What!?”
Kurosaki Mahiro: “The Gekka Bijin only blossoms for me, so without me present, there is no meaning in taking her away.”
As Mahiro spoke in a low voice, I could see the men before us trembling.
Man: “Do you mean she’s already given herself to you?”
Man 2: “Then the Gekka Bijin is...”
Protagonist: “I am not the Gekka Bijin!”
Man: “What!?”
Protagonist: “From now on... I will never be parted from Mahiro, so please leave!”
Kurosaki Mahiro: “...Protagonist.”
Man: “...Hahh... she’s already given herself to him...”
Man 2: “We can’t bring a defiled object back to our house. We withdraw our request.”
Kurosaki Mahiro: “Leave at once.”
As the men left, I realized that meant that I was no longer under obligation to marry them.
(Thank god...)
I breathed a sigh of relief.
Protagonist: “Thank you, Mahiro...”
(I really can’t imagine being with anyone other than him...!)
As I thought this, he slid his arms around me and embraced me.
Protagonist: “!! Eh!?”
Mahiro cradled my head to him and pulled our bodies closer together. Being so close, almost as if we were one, my heart leapt in my chest. But that feeling suddenly changed to happiness.
Kurosaki Mahiro: “Protagonist... continue to only blossom for me. From now on, until forever...”
I answered his words with a smile.
Protagonist: “...If you’ll let me...”
(I’d like to always blossom by his side...)
We never noticed as the Gekka Bijin closed its petals as we drew in for another kiss.

Koiryu: New Year Scenario -Mitsuki- [Translated]
-For context, Koiryu is a game about a girl from 2016 who suddenly finds herself in Japan in the 1800s and forced to help the dragon gods called Kiryu fight evil demons-
Protagonist: “Happy New Year!”
Kujou Takemasa: “Happy New Year, Protagonist!”
Isshiki Hiyori: “Happy New Year!”
Protagonist: “Will we all go and perform a hatsumoude today?”
Isshiki Hiyori: “Hatsumoude? What’s that?”
Protagonist: “What? It’s... it’s when you visit a shrine at the beginning of the new year...?”
Kujou Takemasa: “Protagonist, you do realize we’re in a shrine right now, right?”
Protagonist: “Well, yes, but...”
Tokai Junji: “Isn’t that what you call ehoumairi?”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Wait, on the first day of the new year, you do toshikomori, right?”
Tokai Junji: “Mitsuki, you’re so old!”
Protagonist: “Just what are ehoumairi and toshikomori?”
Tokai Junji: “It’s said that it’s good to be in a shrine when the gods visit on New Year’s Day. Recently it’s very common to visit the shrines and pray for happiness.”
Protagonist: “Yes, that’s it! Hatsumoude!”
Well... more or less.
Sakai Mitsuki; “Oh... I guess I really am old...”
Isshiki Hiyori: “Ah, but now I’m interested in your hatsumoude.”
Kujou Takemasa: “Protagonist, I’ll go with you!”
Protagonist: “Oh, you will?”
Kujou Takemasa: “I’ve never tried it before, but I will gladly share my first time with you!”
Isshiki Hiyori: “You’re terrible.”
Kujou Takemasa: “Huh?”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Already, on the first day of the new year...”
Kujou Takemasa: “Huh?? What the hell!? I didn’t mean anything by it!”
Tokai Junji: “Yes, you did!”
Kurosaki Mahiro: “...I’M GOING TO KILL YOU.”
Kujou Takemasa: “Wahh! Mahiro’s so loud!”
Kurosaki Mahiro: “Don’t you think that going to a shrine to pay homage to other gods is a bit odd, considering we are dragon gods?”
Oh... I didn’t think of that...
Sakai Mitsuki: “I suppose, but it’s not a matter of who the higher gods are.”
Isshiki Hiyori: “Well then, everyone, let’s go!”
--Shrine--
Dressed in bright kimono, we arrived at a shrine a little far from the village. Once we placed a slip of paper on the red archway, we began making our way forward.
Isshiki Hiyori: “Wait, wait! Someone’s there!”
Protagonist: “Eh?”
Oh, it’s...!
Standing before us was the Codomo Gumi.*
Kujou Takemasa: “It’s the Codomo Gumi! I didn’t think we’d see you here!”
Hayato: “Oh, it’s Kiryu! Happy New Year!”
Sakai Mitsuki: “What the hell are you doing here?”
Hayato: “Eh, don’t you know? We’re doing hatsumoude.”
Protagonist: “Hatsumoude!? Hayato, do you know about hatsumoude?”
Hayato: “Yeah, well, a bit!”
Kana: “No, he doesn’t. Yume just told us about it.”
Protagonist: “Yume did!?”
Yume: “Could it be, Protagonist, that you know about hatsumoude?”
Protagonist: “Well, yes.”
Yume: “Oh, that’s really rare.”
Chamu: “Protagonist really isn’t like the other humans here.”
Protagonist: “What!?”
Chamu, what are you saying so suddenly?
Hayato: “That’s right! It always seems like Protagonist is carrying around so many secrets!”
Protagonist: “It... it’s not like that!”
Hayato: “It’s unexpectedly fun to tease you.”
Protagonist: “...”
Isshiki Hiyori: “Alright, that’s enough!”
Kujou Takemasa: “That’s right, she’s just fun in general.”
Kana: “Protagonist, all that aside, you do look very nice today.”
Protagonist: “Eh, me?”
Menmen: “I was thinking the moment we saw you that you looked lovely.”
Chamu: “Well, after all, you are the only girl here, a bright flower amongst us.”
Protagonist: “Oh, well...”
Everyone is being so nice...
Yume: “What are we to do? You’re so lovely.”
Protagonist: “!?”
I... was praised by Yume!
I hid my smile behind my hands.
Hayato: “Yume’s romancing Protagonist!”
Yume: “What, that’s not what I...!”
Kujou Takemasa: “Yume, that’s inexcusable! Get outta here! Shoo, shoo!”
Hayato: “Well, we’re done with our hatsumoude anyway, so we’ll go.”
Kana: “Bye, Mr. Kujou!”
Kujou Takemasa: “Oh, you don’t have to go so soon~”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Even the Codomo Gumi knows about hatsumoude... I’m so old...”
Tokai Junji: “Ignoring the beginning, it’s a bit sad to see them go.”
Kurosaki Mahiro: “Anyhow, Protagonist, tell us what to do for hatsumoude.”
Protagonist: “Oh, okay.”
And so I began teaching everyone.
...
Sakai Mitsuki: “Oh, so that’s hatsumoude.”
Kujou Takemasa: “It’s new!”
Isshiki Hiyori: “It is.”
Tokai Junji: “Hey, what will you now?”
Isshiki Hiyori: “Wait, are you leaving already?”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Where are you going, Junji?”
Tokai Junji: “I think I’ll go to the dojo, since it’s the first day of the new year and all.”
Sakai Mitsuki: “I see. Well, I guess I’ll go into town.”
Kurosaki Mahiro: “I have no plans.”
Kujou Takemasa: “What to do... I guess I’ll just go home.”
Isshiki Hiyori: “Hey, Protagonist, what will you do?”
Protagonist: “Me?”
Oh, I guess...
Protagonist: “I think I’d like to go into town, too.”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Oh, in that case, let’s go together!”
Protagonist: “Okay!”
Tokai Junji: “You know, there are no shops open today or anything, right?”
Sakai Mitsuki: “That’s fine. I’d like to just see the town when it’s quiet.”
Isshiki Hiyori: “Hmm.”
Kujou Takemasa: “Well then, I guess we’ll all go our separate ways here?”
Kurosaki Mahiro: “It seems so.”
And so Mitsuki and I turned toward the town.
...
Sakai Mitsuki: “Protagonist, did you pray?”
Protagonist: “Of course I did. What about you, Mitsuki?”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Me? Yeah.”
Protagonist: “Did you make a wish?”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Yeah, I guess. It’s a bit selfish, but I prayed for another year even better than the last.”
Protagonist: “Eh? What does that mean?”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Well, last year was the most eventful of my life, so I have high expectations for this year as well.”
Protagonist: “Eventful?”
Sakai Mitsuki: “I mean, standing before me is a woman who crossed space and time to be here today. Isn’t that something? Well... unless you’d rather be in your other time.”
Protagonist: “No, no, it’s not that...”
I hadn’t really thought of it that way. It really has been an interesting year, now that I think about it.
Sakai Mitsuki: “With you here, there’s never a dull moment.”
Protagonist: “What?”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Hmm?”
Protagonist: “Ehh?”
Mitsuki smiled at me.
--Town--
When we arrived at the town, shops were closed everywhere.
Well, it’s New Year’s Day, after all. Everyone is out praying at the shrines. Later, they’ll come back and open shop, selling new goods and fukubukuro. It really is a slow start to the new year...
I walked with Mitsuki side-by-side in the silent town devoid of life.
Sakai Mitsuki: “It’s really quiet, isn’t it?”
Protagonist: “Indeed.”
It’s a town I’m used to seeing regularly, but right now it looks like a different place entirely...
It was almost eerily quiet, but with Mitsuki by my side, I felt safe. In that way, I realized what a big part of he had become.
I can’t hear anything except our footsteps...
As I thought this, Mitsuki swept his haori aside to reach his hand out toward me.
Protagonist: “!?”
Ah...
Without speaking, he intertwined his fingers with mine.
Sakai Mitsuki: “...”
Mitsuki...
I squeezed his hand back.
I’m so glad I came here with him.
As I thought this, I drew closer.
Townsperson: “Hey, you two!”
Protagonist: “Eh?”
Sakai Mitsuki: “!?”
Surprised by the voice we didn’t recognize, we immediately let go of one another.
Townsperson: “Why do you look so ashamed, sir? You have such a beautiful wife!”
Sakai Mitsuki: “W-What?”
Protagonist: “Wife?”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Well no, uh, see, she’s...”
Townsperson: “Both of you, I have some information you might like to know. There’s a small shrine hidden just on the other side of that bridge. If you go there, drink the water that falls forth from the rocks.”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Water?”
Townsperson: “Yes, yes! You’ll be blessed with good fortune!”
Protagonist: “Good... fortune?”
Townsperson: “Yes, I’ve just returned from there, myself. Last year, my family and I went and drank the water, and now we have a great treasure! That’s why I went again this year!”
And so the man before us left.
Sakai Mitsuki: “Now I’m interested.”
Protagonist: “Me, too.”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Let’s go check it out, okay?”
...
And so we left the town once more to find an archway that led to a small, old shrine.
Sakai Mitsuki: “I wonder if this is the place?”
Protagonist: “It looks like it’s falling apart.”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Yeah.”
As we stepped onto the shrine grounds, we an area that was closed off by ropes.
Protagonist: “Would this be it?”
As we looked, we could see water flowing forth from behind the rocks.
Sakai Mitsuki: “This is it, the water that will bring us good fortune! Alright, a great treasure...!”
Mitsuki rolled up his sleeves, caught some of the water in his hands and drank.
Sakai Mitsuki: “It’s cold!”
Protagonist: “I’d like to try.”
Sakai Mitsuki: “I’ll get the water for you.”
Mitsuki caught more water and poured it into my hands.
Sakai Mitsuki: “Go on, drink.”
I brought the water to my lips, careful not to spill any on my kimono. It was colder than I expected, and I could feel it in my mouth and throat.
Protagonist: “It tastes good!”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Doesn’t it?”
I looked out over the shrine.
Sakai Mitsuki: “But... I wonder what kind of fortune a place like this will bring us?”
Protagonist: “I was wondering, too...”
I gazed at the water pouring down from the rocks. There was a sign I hadn’t noticed before with something written on it.
Protagonist: “Oh, would that say?”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Where? Oh, there? Let’s see... the treasure... of children.”
Protagonist: “WHAAAT!?”
Sakai Mitsuki: “No way, that man thought...!?”
That man really thought we were married!
Sakai Mitsuki: “This is a place to pray to be blessed with a child?”
Protagonist: “It seems to be that sort of blessing.”
Sakai Mitsuki: “A child... of you and me?”
Protagonist: “!!”
If Mitsuki and I...!?
As soon as I thought that, my heart began pounding in my ears. In our embarrassment, an uncomfortable silence flowed between us.
Sakai Mitsuki: “...You drank it.”
Protagonist: “Yes.”
Sakai Mitsuki: “As did I.”
Protagonist: “Yes.”
No way... this is really uncomfortable!
Sakai Mitsuki: “It... was that sort of thing. Because you and I were together... Let’s go home.”
Protagonist: “Yes.”
We quickly left the premises.
...
In the wake of such a surprise, I didn’t know what to speak of on the way back to the shrine.
That was such a shock... we were just out together... and the treasure that man spoke of that he was blessed with was certainly a child...
I couldn’t imagine Mitsuki as a father.
Well, even me, I can’t see myself as a mother, either.
Protagonist: “Mitsuki?”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Hmm?”
Protagonist: “Did you ever want to be a father?”
Sakai Mitsuki: “...!!”
Protagonist: “No, I mean... just because it was already brought up!”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Well... I can’t imagine it.”
Protagonist: “I thought so.”
Sakai Mitsuki: “It doesn’t matter, anyhow.”
He’s right.
Sakai Mitsuki: “However... how do I say this... for just a minute, it crossed my mind.”
Protagonist: “What? What did?”
Sakai Mitsuki: “What kind of child you and I might have...”
Protagonist: “What, Mitsuki, no way!”
Sakai Mitsuki: “No, not like that, and I’m not thinking about it anymore!”
Protagonist: “I get it. But even if it’s impossible... it’s confusing...”
Sakai Mitsuki: “Yeah. Anyhow, if it’s you... would you let me...?”
Protagonist: “What?”
Sakai Mitsuki: “No! It’s nothing! Let’s go!”
Mitsuki began walking away quickly.
Protagonist: “W-Wait for me!”
As I chased after Mitsuki, I began thinking of what kind of surprises this new year might have in store for us. I caught up to him and we intertwined our fingers once more, holding hands the rest of the way to the Dragon Shrine.

Koiryu Live
I received a message saying I won a chance to see Kiryu’s “Koiryu” event live show about a month ago, but so many problems plagued me over the past month that I literally did not know until last night that I’d be going after all today. I’d completely resigned myself to the fact I wouldn’t be going up until the stars aligned yesterday and karma or fate or whatever just decided to let me enjoy myself this once.
It was a bit different from a normal live show. The first half was talking and only the last half was devoted to an actual musical performance.
One of the first questions the MC, Hoshino, had was when the members play the game, what name they gave their characters.
Hiyori: I’m Takeshi.
Hoshino: …That’s a boy’s name.
Hiyori: Yep.
Hoshino: …Takemasa?
Takemasa: I’m Takemaru.
Hoshino: Okay. Then Mahiro, what’s your character’s name?
Mahiro: Me? I’m Mac.
Hoshino: …As in, MacDonald’s?
Mahiro: Yes.
Hoshino: Uh, okay. Junji, what’s your name?
Junji: I’m Kenjiro.
Hoshino: You and Hiyori both chose boy names… Doesn’t that feel weird to you when you play the game?
Junji: No?
Hoshino: Okay, sure. Mitsuki, what’s your protagonist’s name?
Mitsuki: I’m Ashura.
Hoshino: FINALLY, A GIRL’S NAME. What are your favorite moments of the game?
Takemasa: I liked when my character told the protagonist, “I’ll make a woman out of you. It’ll feel nice, okay?”
Mahiro: I like how broad my shoulders look.
Mitsuki: You look like a goddamn coat hanger.
Junji: When Kiryu goes to battle through Bakeneko (cat demon) I just get injured all over the place. Just how weak am I?
Hiyori: I liked when throughout the entire game, my character has been acting like a girl. Like, I began to think my character was literally a girl. Then one day he turns on the protagonist and announces he’s a man and has been watching her change clothes and stuff. HOORAY, I’M A PERVERT.
Mitsuki: I liked when suddenly, out of absolutely nowhere, there’s an option to either punch Chamu or Menmen from Codomo Dragon in the face.
Afterward, Hoshino pointed out that the game’s protagonist is a good cook. He asked Kiryu’s members if someone made them something, what kind of food they’d like.
Takemasa: Sweet tamagoyaki.
Hiyori: Donburi. Any kind.
Mahiro: I don’t eat vegetables a lot these days, but if someone made me a dish with vegetables, I’d eat it.
Hoshino: You mean like a salad?
Mahiro: No, not a salad, something with more effort than a salad. I can go down to the damned convenience store and get myself a salad if I really wanted one. Oh yeah, I also don’t like carrots.
Hoshino: What is wrong with you? Okay, so no salad, and no carrots… what kind of dish do you have in mind, then?
Mahiro: I eat a lot of curry.
Hoshino: Without carrots.
Mahiro: No, I put carrots in.
Hoshino: Wat. Okay, fine, so someone could make you curry -
Mahiro: No, don’t make me curry, I already make myself curry.
Hoshino: …Okay, so something with vegetables, but not carrots, and not a salad, and not curry. Gotcha (@_@) Junji? What would you like?
Junji: For me? I just I’m similar to Hiyorin and Mahiro…
Mitsuki: Does that mean you want sweet tamagoyaki in curry?
Junji: Nooooo, I meant I want something simple and healthy. I’d like miso soup. With oil, tofu, and seaweed […just like a normal miso soup?…]
Hoshino: And last, Mitsuki.
Mitsuki: A food I’d like to receive?
Hoshino: Yes.
Mitsuki: Uh… something fried.
Hoshino: Could you be more specific?
Mitsuki: I dunno. I like fried foods.
Hoshino: …For example…?
Takemasa: Agepan? [fried bread. It’s entirely like eating a doughnut]
Mitsuki: Never had it before.
Mahiro: You’ve never had agepan before?
Mitsuki: No.
Takemasa: Not even at school lunch?
Mitsuki: No?
Hoshino: So… would you like fried chicken, then?
Mitsuki: Uh, no. I don’t like fried chicken.
Hoshino: So… what, then?
Mitsuki: I dunno. I guess I like croquette. But, like, potato croquette, cream croquette makes me feel sick.
Hoshino: You’re so picky! What about french fries?
Mitsuki: I mean, yeah, french fries are good, but…
Takemasa: Just give him agepan, okay? There, done. Finished.
Once that was finished, Hoshino asked the members if they could be any famous person from history, who they’d be. As much as I’d like to have written their full answers, J!L is sadly lacking in knowledge of many famous Japanese historical figures.
Junji: Does it have to be from Bakumatsu-era Japan?
Hoshino: No.
Junji: Then I’d be Jesus Christ.
Hoshino: Then Mitsuki, who would you be?
Mitsuki: I want to be an Egyptian pharaoh!
Hoshino: Wat
Mitsuki: They had pyramids built for them when they died, isn’t that neat? That’s pretty neat. I’d like that. Can you imagine? An entire pyramid, all to yourself. I want that.
Hoshino asked one more question regarding what the members do on their days off, but the general consensus was that they don’t have free time, and if they did have it, they’d just sit around and watch movies or anime.
Last but not least, the members were asked to read some of their lines from the game in character. On Twitter, you could hashtag-tweet whatever your favorite lines were, but it didn’t seem that many people participated because it didn’t seem as though there were many options. Hoshino handed over a sheet of paper and let the members choose, but everyone seemed kind of disappointed with their options.
Hiyori: Uhh, do I have to move while saying this?
Hoshino: It seems like that kind of line.
Hiyori: Ah, okay. “I won’t know until I try.” (Makes a move to push the protagonist away)
Hoshino: No, no, no, you’re supposed to be cuter, like, pull the protagonist in or something.
Hiyori: Really?
Hoshino: Do it again!
Hiyori: Okay. “I won’t know until I try.” (Kicks the invisible protagonist in the balls)
Hoshino: Okay, Junji, you’re up.
Junji: I think I have to move for this one, too. Okay, ready? “Ta-da, it’s me!” Just when did I say that, exactly? I don’t remember the context at all.
Mitsuki: Why did you even have to announce that? Couldn’t we tell just by looking at you that it’s you?
Hoshino: Mitsuki, your turn.
Mitsuki read two of his lines and A$#%#$^ NAILED BOTH OF THEM. さすが参輝先生だぁ I don’t think he’s capable of failing anything he tries. The room erupted after each reading.
Hoshino: MY GOD YOU COULD BE A REAL ACTOR.
Mitsuki: GIVE ME WORK AS AN ACTOR PLEASE.
Hoshino: Mahiro, would you like to go next, or Takemasa?
Mahiro: I’ll tell you what, I’ll read two, and one of them I’ll read AS Takemasa. …Hmm, okay, I’ll read this line. (Stands in the center of the stage) HOLD ON WAIT I forgot it. (Trots back to Hoshino to look at the line) Okay NO WAIT I FORGOT AGAIN. No, don’t hand me the script, I don’t need it.
Mahiro read the first line normally, then read the second line “as Takemasa,” using a high-pitched, warbly old man voice.
Mahiro: Whaaat? That’s what he sounds like. I can’t hear him through that mask.
Hoshino: Mr. Kujou, it’s your turn.
Takemasa: What the hell is up with these options? Why are there only two, and why do they suck?
Hoshino: It’s what the audience submitted.
Takemasa: Ugghhh, fine. I’ll do this one.
Hoshino: Ready, and…
Takemasa: “OW OW OW IT’S HOT.” WHO THE HELL SUBMITTED THIS WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU.
It was a fun evening. I’m glad I had the opportunity to go.

Koiryu: Hyakkiyakou -Mahiro- [Translated]
Ah, finally. With this, I am finished translating the entirety of the Hyakkiyakou storyline in Kiryu’s dating sim. TOMORROW THEY PLAY AT BUDOKAN [RYUUDOKAN]~
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/1007f5c8dbdc79719ac5da790046a6c4/tumblr_inline_ocm2sxkMbM1u99p5j_540.jpg)
--Hallway--
Mahiro and I exited the room together.
(I still wonder what it is that Hiyori hasn't told me yet.)
Protagonist: "Um, Mahiro?"
Kurosaki Mahiro: "...Hmm?"
Protagonist: "Earlier, you said to me, 'I thought you surely would have noticed by now, but I guess swine like you really are just dull creatures.'"
Kurosaki Mahiro: "Oh. Did I upset you? Sorry about that."
Protagonist: "No, I just... I just wanted to know what you meant."
Kurosaki Mahiro: "What? Are you being serious?"
Protagonist: "Yes..."
Kurosaki Mahiro: "Are you really telling me you haven't realized Hiyori is a
man yet?"
Protagonist: "Eh...? WHAAT!? Please, tell me more!"
Kurosaki Mahiro: "I'd rather not."
Protagonist: "You've kept it secret for so long, and now you're seriously telling me you'd 'rather not'..."
Kurosaki Mahiro: "Hiyori is still Hiyori. What more do you want from me?
What do you even care, are you suddenly interested in him now?"
Protagonist: "Of course I would be, if you continue to be so secretive about it."
(But, if you say that Hiyori is a man, then that means...!)
Mahiro's eyebrows drew together slightly.
Kurosaki Mahiro: "Hahh... That hurts."
Protagonist: "What? Why?"
Mahiro's gaze turned sour.
Kurosaki Mahiro: "Because I'm temperamental."
Protagonist: "!"
(...Mahiro?)
He appeared to be sulking.
Protagonist: "Well... I didn't really mean..."
Mahiro tightly grasped my hand.
Protagonist: "Ehh, what!?"
Mahiro: "Quiet!"
Protagonist: "!?"
I followed Mahiro's gaze. Before us stood an oni and a pitch-black bird spreading its wings. On the ground crawled a large snake and a spider as a starved-looking skull danced beneath sparks.
Protagonist: "KYAAA!!"
Kurosaki Mahiro: "I told you to shut up!"
Bird: "..."
(What - What is going on?!)
At my scream, the bird took notice of me, turning to face our direction.
Kurosaki Mahiro: "This isn't good...!"
The bird spread its wings swooped down upon us. Mahiro drew me close protectively as the bird struck his back.
(Kyaaaa!)
I clung to Mahiro's arms for dear life.
Kurosaki Mahiro: "Ahh...!"
The bird's wings slashed at Mahiro's wrists, leaving deep wounds behind.
(What do I do!? If I don't do something, Mahiro will...!)
But at that moment, the bird disappeared.
(Wh-what was... what was that, just now?)
Protagonist: "Mahiro? Are you alright?"
Mahiro: "What about you?"
Protagonist: "I'm fine."
(Thanks to Mahiro protecting me...)
As I looked around the hall, I could see remnants of the black feathers burning up into smoke and scattering to the ground.
Protagonist: "I wonder what that was...?"
Mahiro: "Hell if I know... Maybe it was Hyakkiyakou."
--The next day--
When I returned home, I paid a visit to Mahiro's room, but he was nowhere to be found.
(Hmm? I wonder where he went... I'm kind of worried about the injuries on his arm.)
There was one more thing I was worried about.
(He said... it was part of Hyakkiyakou, didn't he? It might very well have been that...)
As I wondered, anxiety took hold of me
--Two hours later-- --Room--
Mahiro still hadn't returned home. As it grew later, my feelings of concern only grew stronger.
(It's so late, I wonder if something's happened to him. I really just wanted to talk with him a little...)
"GASAA!"
Protagonist: "!"
(What was that noise just now?...)
It came from outside the temple.
--Temple grounds--
A man stood beneath the moonlight.
(Someone's there! ...Is it Mahiro?)
I followed the man as he walked, grabbing his hand.
Protagonist: "Wait!"
(Ah- it burns!)
His hand burned so fiercely that I couldn't touch it, but I could see a wound embedded in his wrist.
(This is the same place Mahiro was injured!)
I looked up into the man's face.
His black hair blew gently in the wind, and his eyes drew me in with their beauty.
It really seemed like Mahiro...
Protagonist: "...Mahiro?"
???: "..."
As the man before me opened his mouth to speak--
Kujou Takemasa: "Is someone theeere?" *
Protagonist: "Ah..."
???: "...Don't show this hand to anyone."
Protagonist: "Huh...?"
As I watched, a blue bruise burned itself on my hand.
Protagonist: "What is this?!"
The man drew his lips close to my ear and whispered.
???: "You and I are now companions in this curse."
Protagonist: "Curse!?"
???: "It's Hyakkiyakou."
Protagonist: "Wh..."
???: "Will you accompany me?"
Protagonist: "...!?"
In an instant, the man vanished.
Protagonist: "...Mahiro...?"
--Hallway--
The next morning, Mahiro still hadn't come home.
(That man last night looked like Mahiro, but...)
The bruise in the palm of my hand seemed to grow worse as I looked at it, but I did as I was told and didn't dare show it to anyone. I hid the mark beneath the sleeve of my kimono.
--Yoizuki**--
That night, Kuina*** came to visit.
Kuina: ”If you let me buy you, I could tell you more...”
(Ugh, this again...)
Rather than give a proper answer, I wanted instead to try and avoid the topic.
Kuina: “What do you say?”
Protagonist: “Well, I mean, I...”
At that moment, the door to the room opened and someone stepped in.
???: "..."
(Oh...!)
It was the man from the night before.
???: "..."
Kuina: "Hey, asshole, you have the wrong room."
???: "No? She's here, so this is where I need to be."
Protagonist: "Huh?"
???: "I've come for you."
Protagonist: "!!"
Kuina stepped in front to shield me from the man before us.
Kuina: "Hey, are you even human?"
Protagonist: "What...?"
The man shot Kuina an annoyed glare.
Kuina: "You can't be, those wings..."
Kuina pulled out a short sword and slashed out at the man in a horizontal arc.
???: "!"
The edge of the blade scratched the man's face, creating a thin line of blood across his cheek.
Protagonist: "Kuina, stop it!"
Kuina: "What the fuck do you think you're doing here, demon?"
Protagonist: "Demon...?"
Without warning, Kuina's eyes rolled upward to reveal nothing but white. In an instant he fell over, losing consciousness.
Protagonist: "Wha-- Kuina!?"
Before I could approach Kuina, the man pulled me toward him by my arm.
(Ah...!)
Just as last night, the place where he touched me burned.
???: "Do you enjoy keeping these men company, Protagonist?"
Protagonist: "...!?"
(Just now, he said my name...)
???: "Today, I'll be the one you entertain."
Protagonist: "You're Mahiro, aren't you?"
???: "Let's drop that subject for now. Well, it's time."
He picked up the bottle of sake beside him and drank from it. He then pressed his lips to mine and let the alcohol flow into my mouth.
Protagonist: "Mm...!"
I lacked the strength to push him away, and unable to break the kiss I swallowed the liquor. It burned my throat.
???: "Did you drink it?"
Suddenly, the man's arms no longer burned me as painfully as before, and I realized that the bruise on my hand had disappeared.
However, suddenly I grew dizzy from the alcohol, relying on the man before me to continue holding me up.
???: "It's alright, let me take care of you."
Protagonist: "Mahiro... Well, then... just for a little bit, is that okay?"
???: "Only a little bit? I guess it's alright. Just a little."
Mahiro placed a hand on my head, stroking my hair as he drew me closer to his chest.
???: "Your face is so red..."
Protagonist: "... Ah..."
???: "That face you're making... it looks like you really want it. Shall I peck you?"
The hand supporting my body slid down below my head as Mahiro drew his face close, our noses nearly touching. He gently touched my warm cheek.
???: "It's my turn."
Protagonist: "Huh?"
???: "Give your lips to me so that I can return to normal."
Protagonist: "My...?"
???: "Would you be willing to sacrifice your body to me? Protagonist."
His dazzlingly beautiful eyes captivated me.
Slowly he closed the distance between us, allowing his lips to touch mine softly.
(M... Mahiro...)
Enveloped in the sensation of our kiss, I lost consciousness.
...
--The Dragon Shrine--
When I awoke, it was in my own room.
(When... did I come home?)
Unable to remember clearly the events of the night before, my eyebrows drew together.
(Ah...!)
I touched my lips.
(Was that... a dream?)
...
I left my room and spotted Mahiro walking away.
Protagonist: "Ah, Mahiro!"
I quickly ran up to him, peering into his face.
Kurosaki Mahiro: "What is it?"
Protagonist: "Where were you? I was so worried!"
Kurosaki Mahiro: "...Sorry."
At that moment, I noticed a thin cut along Mahiro's cheek.
Protagonist: "That cut...!"
Mahiro: "Eh! Don't look at it."
Mahiro quickly raised a hand to cover it.
Protagonist: "I knew it, that really was you."
Mahiro: "What the hell are you talking about?"
Protagonist: "Don't pretend you don't know. That's from fighting Subaru,
isn't it?**** And then you ki..."
(...!!)
That's all I was able to say before the memories came flooding back to me.
(That's right... I was kissed by Mahiro, wasn't I?)
Kurosaki Mahiro: "What is it?"
Protagonist: "Well... I mean..."
Mahiro let a sly smile creep to his lips.
Kurosaki Mahiro: "Well, it's okay now, isn't it? We broke the curse together."

*Takemasa used COCKBLOCK for the third time in a row! It's super effective! **Yoizuki is the name of the establishment in the red-light district where Kiryu forces the protagonist to work as an oiran (similar to a hostess) to gather potential information about demons. ***Kuina is a member of Royz, but plays a Meiji military official in this game. ****I think this was a mistake made by the writers, since Kuina was the one who cut Mahiro. Subaru is another member of Royz/Meiji soldier.
---
Well, that about wraps up that story. I don’t know if anyone is interested in the main storyline enough for me to bother translating it. Now that I finally have a new phone, I’ve been able to play Mahiro’s story, though I’m not very far yet and I can only read so much every day without paying money to continue. So far, he just sort of comes off as being super depressed.
I’m so disappointed in how boring Mitsuki’s story is. He’s the designated tsundere character, and despite having been called tsundere, myself, I find it suuuper annoying. Not even cute annoying, just regular annoying, and not even in a way I can relate to. It’s also half the protagonist’s fault, since she’s so stupid I find myself rooting for her to just die already. If Mitsuki is fighting a demon, she’ll clamp on to his arm and not let go and just scream nonstop while he’s trying to save them both. Or she’ll let important information slip to their enemies without thinking. It’s kind of cringey.
Surprisingly, though, Kujou actually has a really interesting story. I’ve actually found myself looking forward to reading his the most, despite him being my fifth-favorite member. It’s... dare I say, it’s actually a little bit cute? It might get worse, though, I seem to remember reading somewhere that he’s the yandere character. But so far, he actually... I mean, between the constantly angry Mahiro, Mitsuki’s emotional maturity of a high schooler, Junji who comes on way too strong, and Kujou... Kujou actually seems like the most decent and reasonable character in the game. It’s kind of weird.
