→ there’s nothing too special about the members of class 2b, and koga doesn’t make it a point to get close to them. people like arashi and yuzuru are plenty strong themself, but then there’s kagehira mika who sits at the back of class muttering to himself. he’s puny and unreliable, so from time to time koga takes a leaf from adonis’ book and helps him out.

→ when it comes to koga, there’s clearly more than meets the eye as mika soon realises. as brash and loud as he is, koga hides a mellow sweetness as he offers to let mika copy off his homework or pair up with him for group projects. mika never thought he’d forge a relationship with someone so intimidating, but that in itself is refreshing.

→ as they spend more time together, koga gets to see more of mika’s more ditzy side, and often scolds him for it, though it is cute to watch. mika is also happy to have someone else in his class to rely on, and koga’s scary demeanour does tickle him very much. koga is the one who asks him out, expecting nothing, and is over the moon to have mika accept.

→ koga doesn’t do the whole ‘hand-holding and soft kisses’ that mika would prefer, instead wrapping an arm around mika’s neck to let others know they’re close and together, thank you very much. mika soon learns koga likes to keep close to him, especially to snuggle, which mika gladly participates in.

→ mika doesn’t really mind small dogs like koga’s leon, but does worry about getting dog fur on his shirt and being licked all over. then again, it’s cute to see koga so affectionate with his pet, and even sulk when leon chooses to cuddle with mika instead. mika refuses to cuddle with leon when he tore up one of mika’s stuffed toys, however.

→ mika’s lack of confidence bothers koga greatly, and he’s often yelling at his boyfriend to fight back, to stop suffering in silence. he doesn’t know how to tell mika he’s wonderful, so he ends up crying into his pillow in frustration. but mika does appreciate koga, so he’ll kiss koga’s red eyes in the morning and tell him, “i’ll try ma best.” this gets koga’s tail up and wagging again.
