SO, YOU’RE THE ONE WHO’S BEEN FUCKING MY DAUGHTER.
➳ synopsis: you told your dad to go easy on your partner because they were nervous to meet him for the first time and he absolutely bypassed your request
➳ character/s: yukihira soma, hayama akira, kurokiba ryou, tsukasa eishi, kobayashi rindou
➳ warnings: suggestive but no explicit nsfw, swearing
➳ notes: inspired by this post! i thought this was funny and will likely be doing this with other fandoms i write for as well :)) ALSO IT SAYS DAUGHTER FOR THE TITLE BUT IT’S ACTUALLY GENDER NEUTRAL-
𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 + 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭
Tumblr media
── 𝐘𝐔𝐊𝐈𝐇𝐈𝐑𝐀 𝐒𝐌𝐀.
literally glued to the spot
just looks at your dad like :00
he doesn’t know how to respond to this
soma thought his dad was pretty embarrassing but he stands corrected
meanwhile, you start yelling at your dad for saying such a crude opening statement
in his head, he’s running through the millions of things he could respond with
‘sir, yes sir!’
‘yes?’
‘UHHHHHHH’
so while you continue to scold your dad who seems entirely unfazed, soma continued to weigh up his options
‘i sure fucking hope so.’
...
ok it wasn’t meant to come out like that-
── 𝐇𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐌𝐀 𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐑𝐀.
wants to die.
he was nervous enough
and then your dad whips this out right off the bat
honestly, you’re just as shocked
he expected some...
invasive questions
but he didn’t expect your dad to go straight to your sex life
and he felt even more nervous about it
cautiously looking to you for help, you shrug, just as lost as he is as to what to do in this situation
he tried to gain his composure
failed to
but still managed to speak regardless
‘...with consent, yes.’
── 𝐊𝐔𝐑𝐎𝐊𝐈𝐁𝐀 𝐑𝐘𝐎𝐔.
surprised, but not embarrassed
just raises an eyebrow at the statement
he pauses for a moment to figure out an answer, but that thought is put on hold when he sees you
bright red and yelling at your own dad
to be honest
ryou isn’t sure how in depth this answer should be
is he gonna just say yes, or is he gonna provide details?
should he clarify that everything is consensual?
oh my fucking god, does he need evidence??
while you were yelling at your dad, he noticed he never broke eye contact with him
it was kind of intimidating but ryou would never admit that-
instead, he matched his gaze with a:
‘guilty.’
── 𝐓𝐒𝐔𝐊𝐀𝐒𝐀 𝐄𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐈.
wants to die pt. 2
almost drops his glass of water
on the way to your house, he literally prepared for every opening sentence under the sun
he had a script ready in his head
a figurative flow chart of how each conversation could go to make your dad like him
but this strayed from every path possible
and he is at a loss for words
and brain power, apparently
because he can’t even think of a response
your dad looks at him expectantly and you go to comfort your boyfriend from this incredibly confronting introduction
you can feel his heart pounding in his chest
but you also try your best not to laugh at his flustered state
‘uhhh... i... well... i- yes?’
── 𝐊𝐎𝐁𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐈 𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐎𝐔.
shameless, really
if anything, you’re more embarrassed than she is
she just laughs and pulls you into her clumsily
‘damn right, sir.’
yeah
you’re definitely more embarrassed than she is
you were going to scold your dad for being so blunt
and you thought rindou was nervous
but it turns out, your dad’s energy matches hers
and now the roles have reversed
you’re still in shock while your girlfriend and dad converse casually
also
you have no idea how your dad got the idea to open with that

Random Headcanon’s on some of the Shokugeki Girl’s favorite flowers
I’d like to draw but I’m chained to the bed due to tummy-aches, so we’re doing this instead. So yeah, have some silly little headcanons on what I personally imagine to be the favorite flowers of the girls in Shokugeki
Erina Nakiri - Amaryllis and Roses
Megumi Tadokoro - Tulips mainly (especially yellow ones), but she also likes daisies and morning glories.
Alice Nakiri - Peonies. Roses are “overrated” in her mind. Also has a soft spot for snowdrops though.
Hisako Arato - Purple Hyacinths and Zinnias.
Ikumi Mito - Hibiscus.
Ryoko Sakaki - Orchids. ORCHIDS. O R C H I D S. (#FightMe) Also likes white jasmine or chrysanthemums though.
Yuki Yoshino - Sunflowers. And Freesia.
Rindou Kobayashi - Bird of Paradise, daffodils ands honeysuckles.
Nene Kinokuni - Camellias and carnations mainly. She think lotuses are really pretty as well. (Oh and like, I nearly forgot but ahdh cherry blossoms count right?)
Momo Akanegakubo - Also roses. But also gladioulus.
Miyoko Hojo - Snapdragons and Dahlias.
Nao Sadatsuka - Lilies and Orchids.

ɪ'ʟʟ ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ ғᴏʀɢᴇᴛ
Characters/Pairing: Kobayashi Rindou and Tsukasa Eishi/EiRin
Type: Canon-divergent AU, Post-series, Peerless-verse, Freestyle
Word Count: 1158
A/N: I’ll search the universe, until I can find you again.
One day, out of nowhere, she asked, “Would you rather die first, or would you prefer to be the one left behind?”
He paused and peered over the edge of the book which he had been reading. Her curious catlike gaze met his, expectant and waiting for his response.
“…What brought this up?”
Also, what kind of question was that?
She shrugged, rolling onto her belly on the bed, her legs raised, bare feet kicking idly in the air behind her. She had propped herself up on her elbows, hands stacked together, her pointed chin resting on the back of her palms. They were in the bedroom, just settling in for the night.
“Just wondering, I guess.” Her gaze sharpened. “So?”
He set his book face down on the mattress beside him where he had been sitting against the headboard, giving her his full attention.
“I think it’s not anything to worry about at all, since we don’t actually get to choose when we die.”
Her brow furrowed at his dull, logical comment.
“But what if we can choose?” she insisted. “What if we grew old together, hypothetically, and we’re reaching the end of the road?”
He looked at her. “Hypothetically?” he enquired with polite blandness. “Is there anyone else you’re planning to grow old with?”
Her lips twitched.
“You’re entirely missing the point here, bud. Fine.”
“Let’s say that we’re both shrunken and doddery and seriously getting on in years. You’re the gnarly old coot to my wizened old hag. I’m sagging everywhere and you’re missing all of your hair. There are liver spots in places where there should not ever have liver spots and we take turns misplacing our dentures. You need to bellow at the top of your lungs whenever you speak to me because I can’t hear too well and I need to hold on to you when we go for our daily walks about town because your vision is not too good anymore. We hobble about everywhere on walking sticks at the max speed of a lost sloth and between us we have more replacement parts than an angry Roomba. Everything hurts and we creak like unoiled hinges whenever we so much as breathe. If given a choice, wouldn’t you wanna kick the bucket first?”
He winced wearily at her colorfully imaginative portrayal of their…future. “Must you really be so descriptive.”
Just how long had she been hatching this idea?
She grinned at him, unrepentant.
“You asked for it. ‘Sides, aging and growing old is part and parcel of life. Don’t be scared of it.”
“I’m not scared,” he muttered. “I just don’t feel the need to think about it until I absolutely have to.”
She slyly wormed closer to him and then flopped her upper torso over his lap, displacing his book in the process. “Well, you may start thinking now. Indulge my insatiable curiosity, old man!”
He twitched at her demand, especially when she poked him demandingly in the stomach as well. His hand reached down to catch her offending digit, and then he laced their fingers together.
“I’m not that old yet, old woman,” he retorted, still stalling. Mainly because he really had no idea what he was supposed to say. Who wanted to think about dying? She was such an oddball, as always. “…Which would you prefer?”
“Hey, I asked you first! You can’t answer my question with the same question!”
“You obviously have spent some time contemplating this already, so if I’m going to guess, then it’d be that you’d want to go first,” he continued.
She sent him an arched look.
“Is that your final opinion? If it is, then you’re wrong~!” she sang. “I’d pick to be left behind. Are you surprised?”
His brow silently lifted. He actually was faintly surprised.
“…Why would you choose that?”
“Hm, it’d be a relief to go first and not be old and achy everywhere anymore…but…you’re going to be really pitiful if I left you behind, right?” She petted his thigh, and then she laid her head on his leg, curling up beside him. “I can’t do that to you- what ever will you do without me? You’d be completely lost.”
Her candid, matter of fact reply both amused him and tugged at something in him, at the same time. His other hand reached for her, resting over the crown of her head, fingers slowly sifting through her hair.
“But then you’d be the one left alone,” he pointed out quietly. And he wondered if he could bear that, parting when that time to separate came. What a morbid subject they were discussing, but now that she had drawn him into it, he was curious to hear her thoughts too.
“Yeah. It’s gonna suck either way,” she acknowledged, her gaze growing distant in thought. “But you know what? It’d suck even more to have to leave you behind…so I’d rather take this one for the team,” she concluded plainly. She rolled onto her back and caught his eyes. “You’ll wait for me, right? No matter how long I take?”
His gaze softened. His fingers lingered along her jaw.
“Do you even have to ask?”
They both knew that he had always been the more patient one out of the two of them.
She smiled at him, softly nuzzling her face into his hand, brushing her lips affectionately against the heart of his palm.
“See; that’s why I’ll be fine.”
“I’m gonna do so many awesome things when you’re gone,” she suddenly blurted out in glee, half an hour or so later, when they had both settled in bed for the night. Eishi was promptly jolted awake; he had been about to doze off, but an excitable Rindou was simply irrepressible. “I’ll be the ultra-fashionable old lady in Roppongi rocking haute couture OOTDs by day and by night I’ll hit up host clubs in Kabukicho and patronize handsome young men and be a sugar granny-”
“Can you please not be so excited to see me dead and buried so fast,” he groaned, rolling over and hauling her into his arms before she could spring up and go off onto wild tangents. He would never get her quiet and settled back down for bedtime again by then.
He pushed her face onto the crook of his shoulder, presumably to make her shut up. She nipped him in indignant reprimand, and he retaliated by pinching her rump. Her shoulders quivered with mirth. He was so grumpy. She freed one hand and petted his arm fondly.
“Don’t worry, I’ll have your name tattooed somewhere so even if dementia gets me and I don’t remember you, I’ll still remember you,” she puffed out against his neck. He grumbled.
“Okay, grandma, can you save your rebellion without a cause for tomorrow? The rest of us still not at retirement age yet need our sleep in order to be functional and responsible working adults in the morning.”

A Casual Opening
Summary: Chapter nine of On Casual Commitments!
It was the night of the soft opening of one of the most anticipated new restaurants of the decade, and every titan in the culinary world had fought, bribed, or begged his name onto the guest list.
On the far left side of the rooftop bar, overlooking the city, a reporter from the New York Times attempted to get a quote from Kobayashi Rindou, while her husband tried to stop her from stuffing an hors d'oeuvre down the poor journalist’s throat. And to the right a rising statesman hashed out the politics of hunger with Arato Hisako, who was dressed in a black evening gown with a slit up one side, her huge engagement ring blinding passers-by as she gestured.
But in the midst of all the pomp and circumstance, all the envy and intrigue, they were still just four guys chilling at a bar.
“It looks like Arato-san has that ambassador on the ropes,” Marui said as he glanced around the open space.
Shoji, who had always possessed a quixotic sort of affection for her, nodded emphatically. “Hayama doesn’t deserve that woman,” he said, and they let him have that personal truth.
“Don’t think of it as her marrying him. It’s just old money marrying new money,” Daigo pointed out. “It’s gotta be a hundred million US between them.”
Shoji only shrugged. “He’s still an asshole.”
“That’s how it goes sometimes,” Marui said, pushing his glasses further up on his nose.
“Says the man who just left his fiance,” Ibusaki replied as he sipped his beer.
The bespectacled man shook his head. In truth, he had walked right into that one. Two months ago, he had been engaged to Enomoto Madoka. But after returning to Tōtsuki to help move Fumio-san to her retirement community, an old spark unexpectedly ignited.
Namely, as they packed the boxes and revisited all the vestiges of their Polar Star years, he was faced with the fact that as long as Yoshino Yuki walked this earth, he couldn’t spend his life with another woman.
“I’d rather not discuss it—”
“Leave it to Marui,” Daigo chimed in, slapping the grad student’s shoulder. “To think you’d be the one to spark the biggest scandal since SouMegeddon!”
“It’s still fucked up that we call it that,” said Shun, as he sipped his drink.
Marui had to agree. All things considered, the breakup had been pretty drama-free. He was about to tell them as much, but the words died on his lips when she walked in, wearing a fuchsia cocktail dress and flanked by Ryouko and one of her colleagues from the Food Network. He had always known that she belonged on TV.
She winked discreetly at him before taking a champagne flute from a passing server’s tray, much to the amusement of Daigo and Shoji. Already he could tell that it was going to be a long night.
“What craziness is Yukihira up to this time?” Takumi asked as he scrolled through the menu questionnaire.
“Hey! It’s like a Buzzfeed quiz,” Hinako pointed out, shoving her Canvas iPad in her husband’s face.
“Calm yourself,” Shinomiya said, even as his eyes remained fixed on the menu. “It’s just another one of the brat’s cheap tricks. Once we figure out the code, it won’t be that impressive.”
A small smile grew on Megumi’s face as she ran her fingers over her tablet’s sumptuous leather case.
She remembered lying in bed with him on some rainy Sunday afternoon in Paris or Milan, his fingers tracing lazy patterns on the small of her back.
What if you could make dishes out of people’s moods?
She had given him an indulgent smile, a lingering kiss; leave it to him to start thinking about cooking right after sex.
What do you mean, Souma-kun?
You know, if you could know what your customers want even better than they do.
I think only a god could do something like that, she had said, stretching. A god or you.
His cooking had finally reached Olympus.
Megumi shook her head softly, returning to reality as Doujima-san and another Tōtsuki executive joined their table. As the years went on, sometimes it was easy to forget how much she had loved him. It was why she couldn’t let herself hold him back from all of this, from the pinnacle. More than anyone else she knew, Yukihira Souma deserved to make history.
“Is something wrong, tesoro mio?” Takumi asked her after they finished ordering, so to speak. “You’ve been so quiet.”
“Just thinking,” she said, resting a palm against her slightly protruding stomach, remembering that she had also gotten everything she deserved.
Nakiri Erina heaved a great sigh as a young sous chef held the plate in front of her for inspection, fatigued by the unrelenting incompetence that surrounded her in this world.
“What is that?” she asked, pointing to the red sauce’s arrangement.
The boy blinked a few times, clearly taken by surprise. “I-is there an error, Chef Nakiri?”
She crossed her arms over her chest. “I specifically told you that the chili sauce should be arranged in the shape of a comma.”
The sous chef looked down at his work. “Yes, and—”
“And that is clearly a single quotation mark,” she said through gritted teeth. “Wipe it off and do it again. Before the filet loses heat.”
“Yes, Chef Nakiri! Right away.”
When Erina turned around another assistant was waiting patiently for her to taste test a pottage.
“If you would, chef,” the dark haired girl said. This should be fun.
Erina grabbed a clean spoon and tried it. Everything was fine, really. The girl had followed her recipe to the letter, but...
“You left it on the stove for half a second too long.”
“I deeply apologize!” the girl cried out, hanging her head low. “Allow me to start from scratch.”
“And how do you intend to make up for all the time you’ve lost us?”
“I...I um...” The girl’s eyes quickly started to well with tears.
“Don’t sweat it,” Souma told the sous chef as he came over, all bright eyes and electric smiles. Erina could tell the little whelp would fall in love with him before the night was over. “Just ladle the pottage into a different pot and leave out what’s at the bottom.”
The girl shot Erina a nervous glance before heading back to her station.
“Nakiri, you need to chill,” he told her with an easy grin when they were as close to alone as they could be in the crowded kitchen. “They’re gonna make more mistakes if you keep them on edge like that.”
“And what would you have me do? You know how particular those critics can be!”
“I know no one but you can taste half a second’s difference.” Souma kissed her, then pressed his forehead against hers. “Just relax.”
Erina, knowing that half the kitchen was probably watching their quasi-romantic spectacle instead of doing their damn jobs, pulled herself away. “You’ve got some nerve telling me to relax. Neither one of us handles stress particularly well.”
“That’s not—”
“You smoked a whole pack of cigarettes this morning. Let me yell at people.” With that she turned on her heel and left to attend to half a dozen rabbit entrees, determined to only ream out the staff for the most egregious of errors.
“So,” Doujima Gin said to his longtime friend as the event was drawing to a close, “What are you gonna do now that the boy’s finally surpassed you?”
“In cooking?” Jouichirou smirked, drinking his bourbon. “He did that a long time ago. But he’s still losing.”
“How can that be true?” asked Jun as she made meager progress with her pinot grigio.
“When I was his age I was already married with a kid.”
“What’s that got to do with anything, Saiba-senpai?” Jun asked, scowling. “You can’t just make up new criteria out of nowhere. That’s just like you!”
Jouichirou merely shrugged. “I don’t know how Erina entertains that dumbass.”
“They’re good for each other,” Doujima said. Then his face turned stern. “You’d know that if you came around more often.”
“Exactly,” Jun said. “It’s wholly unacceptable.”
“Why is it that I can’t show up anywhere without being lectured by you two?”
“Because even after all these years your behavior is still too loose,” Doujima told him. “How long are you going to keep acting like a teenager?”
Jouichirou sighed. “How about this: when I get some grandkids, I’ll straighten up.”
“I’d have to see that in order to believe it,” Jun said. After all, this was a man who had slept through half his exams during finals week.
“Maybe you will,” he said before standing to take his leave.
“You’re not going to congratulate your son?” Doujima asked, though he already knew the answer.
“The newspapers will do that well enough,” he said. “And I have a flight to catch.”
“That man.” Jun rolled her eyes once he had left her line of sight.
Doujima shook his head. “If nothing else, I imagine he’d be fun as a grandfather.”

(( If (well really more of a when I feel) Rindou gets to run her own restaurant as an Owner-Chef or even just as an Executive Chef, she'd be the boss from hell. Her kitchen will be spotless everyday after work, you'll have to keep scrubbing until she thinks she can eat off of it which may take over ten tries to get right, her utensils and tools will all be cutting edge and no less than five hundred thousand yen a piece (which is why if she even imagines that someone has stolen something she will Personally make sure you're not only fired but that you never find work again or have financial security- in fact she'd probably make you in debt trying to pay her back) Everything that gets put out, every dish, must be perfect according to how she imagines perfect to be with not a single mistake but not because she's passionate about delivering the best to a customer (though that Does play a role in it because Rindou loves to keep up appearances of power and high status and of course also because customers are money) but because she enjoys to some extent seeing her line cooks and others flounder about trying to please her while she executes everything flawlessly and then uses her ridiculous talent to make them feel terrible about their skills and their self worth. Of course at the end of the day food must be put out, but working for her is always a sort of sadistic game of how much can you take and retain your sanity or lose it and become her puppet. I imagine the only thing that keeps most of her employees chained to her is the very reputation she's gained because her abilities are the real deal on a prodigal level. According to canon she was still Second Seat even in her second year in the high school division, and she probably gained it the year before but either way to maintain not only the same seat but a Second Seat on the knife's edge that is the Elite Ten Council is part of what built the status of legend she has in Totsuki (a school with again a 10% graduation rate that does not fuck around or know what Chill means 24/7 365). She's considered the best female student in the entire school (higher than fucking ERINA NAKIRI the God Tongue- let that sink in) for a reason and we the readers haven't even seen her cook anything yet. Thus her reputation precedes her so much that to take and then walk away from a job run by THE Rindou Kobayashi would look to the rest of the culinary world like you've absolutely lost your damn mind and thrown away the best opportunity that ever landed on your doorstep ( that people would actually turn their scorn on the gone employee than Rindou herself only enables her to continue what she's doing because since no one would really suspect she herself is the problem that teaches her that she can get away with next to anything she wants and treat her employees like as much shit as she wants because any way they'd be dismissed looks bad on THEM and never Her) Rindou would have an amazing restaurant Amazing because it is made for her and only her in every aspect ))

Shokugeki no Souma 3 – 05
Souma beat Kuga in sales on the fourth day, but there’s still one day left, and I, fool that I am, thought that that would be the main thrust of this episode. Instead, the final day goes by in montage form, and Kuga ends up taking first place in total sales in their section.
It’s a disappointing result for both chefs, especially since we learn Kuga lost a secondary bet with 1st Seat Tsukasa Eishi: a second Shokugeki if he leads in sales all five days. What happened in the first? When Kuga was coming up, Tsukasa cheerfully accepted his brazen challenge, then proceeded to crush him without mercy.
That Souma was able to best Kuga in sales one of the days and maintain his composure despite considerably psychological warfare on Kuga’s part basically tells Kuga what Kuga’s 5-0 loss told Tsukasa: that his challenger has lots of talent and potential, they just need growth.
2nd Seat Kobayashi Rindou (voiced with gusto by the great Itou Shizuka) is the only Elite Ten member to not have a booth (Eizan is managing twenty), instead choosing to visit all 120 booths and stuff her face.
Impressed by his one-day defeat of Kuga, Rindou invites Souma and Megumi to the Yamanote Area for a very special nine-course dinner personally prepared by Tsukasa. His “booth” is really a super fancy restaurant with only three tables, suggesting Rindou was probably planning this, and her interest in Souma wasn’t merely due to his connection to Kuga.
It’s a real eye-opener for Souma to watch, see, smell and taste something on an entirely different level that he is. Forget leagues, Tsukasa is out of Souma’s galaxy, and to his credit, Souma knows it. He may be a brash, confident fellow, but he knows when he’s outmatched.
Naturally, the clothes come off Souma, Megumi, and Rindou upon tasting his food, and Tsukasa’s title of “White Knight of the Table”, pledging absolute loyalty from his ingredients and getting absolute loyalty in return, adds to the legend that is 1st Seat Tsukasa Eishi.
Meanwhile, at her “booth”, Erina still waits for Souma’s dad to come and sit at the table. In her thoughts she makes it plain that he’s the only reason she’s come this far. It was heartwarming to see Lil’ Erina so smitten, but the atmosphere of the scene, as well as the very scope of the episode and show itself, suddenly changed upon the sudden, unexpected arrival not of Jouichirou, but Erina’s sinister, vampiric dad Azami (voiced by the same guy as Toosaka Rin’s dad!).
It’s obvious beyond doubt that Azami is Just Plain Bad News; his presence is immediately upsetting and overwhelming to Erina, and Hisako is at a loss at how to help. Azami throws his weight around, shitting on Erina’s customers and telling her that serving these clowns is beneath her.
Just then, to Hisako’s relief, Souma barges in, pepper bun in hand, asking Erina if she has a free table (which, until her father showed up, she did). Not reading the room at all (as usual), Souma saunters up to Azami, asks if it’s possible to share his table, and Azami withdraws.
Souma to the rescue, right? Eh, not quite. Remember when I said Souma had a lot of growing to do? He and his friends are going to have to grow up quick, because mere minutes after arriving, Nakiri Azami completely upturns the power structure at Totsuki.
His father, Erina’s gramps, shows up to demand Azami leave at once, and they enter a little philosophical argument. Suffice it to say, Azami’s standards for both accepting students and serving customers at Tosukis are far stricter than his father’s.
One would think “Well sure bro, good talk, but you’re not in charge, so get back to your coffin before the sun comes up!” But by the episode’s closing moments, Azami IS in charged, as decreed by six of the Elite Ten: 4th Seat Akanegakubo Momo, 5th Seat Saitou Soumei, 6th Seat Kinokuni Nene, 9th Seat Eizan Etsuya, and in a twist I did not see coming, 1st and 2ns Seats Tsukasa and Rindou.
It’s a COUP, baby…and Rindou wants Souma to join their side, the side of Azami, and “crucial reforms” that will stamp out the “anyone can be a great chef” mentality that had defined the school to that point. This is bad guys! And absolutely crazy. This is some Captain Aizen-level shit right here! And I, for one, am stoked at the possibilities.
I would imagine that rather than join the Dark Side, Souma will ally himself with Erina, and perhaps the three other seats who didn’t vote for Azami – Megishima Tousuke, Isshiki…and Kuga. They’re outnumbered and possibly outgunned. It’s looking like Rindou’s booth-hopping was a means of deciding who stays and who goes in the purge that is sure to come.
If having Souma sample Tsukasa’s cooking was some kind of a means of luring him to their side…they don’t know Yukihira Souma! He’s loyal to his friends, even if they’re not—especially if they’re not the strongest.

Pokemon (Galar) AU - Gym Leaders
I needed to talk about something a bit more simple, before I take on the second part of the canon character’s future within “Shokugeki no Kimiko”.
I’ve shared this information with Kana yesterday already and I thought I could share it here.
So meep, in Pokemon (Galar) AU the Gym Leaders are the Elite 10 characters, safe for Erina who’s a Challenger (and also heir to this AU’s Macro Cosmos, but thats something I still have to think about in detail) and Eishi, who’s not Gym Leader but Champ (obviously). I’d like to say though that I matched the gym leaders more after the cities where I could picture specific characters in, rather than concerning their Elite 10 Ranking.
First Gym Leader - Turffield
Tumblr media
The first city with an arena to take on is Turffield. The Gym Leader to be meet here is Satoshi Isshiki.
The reason I chose Isshiki is because him and Milo are literally the same person It’s a city surrounded by lots of green and lots of farms in the end and we know how much Isshiki loves his Polar Star Farm. Also, much like Milo, he’d hold back against the challengers (like he held back in his cook-off with Soma) which is the reason why he was chosen to be the first one to face.
He gives out the Grass-Badge and faces the challengers with Grass-Pokemon. However in his free time, surprisingly to many, he does like to train the Fire as well as the Flight Type as well.
The first Pokemon he ever caught was Gossifleur, which later of course evolved into Eldegoss.
Tumblr media
Second Gym Leader - Hulbury
Tumblr media
The Port-Town Hulbury is the place where Arena Challengers face off against Somei Saito and his numerous Fish-Pokemon.
Somei specializes in Sushi in the end, which always makes me associate with, well, fish and therefore water. So yeah, that lead to me assigning him the Port Town.
He gives out the Water-Badge and, as I said, the Team he confronts challengers with consists of Water-Pokemon. Outside the Arena-Challenge he does also train Rock and Fighting Types though.
His first Pokemon was a Goldeen which is now a Seaking.
Tumblr media
Third Gym Leader - Motostoke
Tumblr media
Motostoke obtains the third Arena to tackle and it’s where you have to face Terunori Kuga.
I pretty much chose this for him mainly because in the game this is also where you face the Fire Gym Leader and I picture Kuga as nothing else but a Fire Gym Leader. It’s a very industrial town in the end which easily relates to, you know, coal and steam and all that.
So yeah, Kuga gives out the Fire-Badge!
His first Pokemon ever was a Sizzlipede, which is now a Centiskorch.
Tumblr media
Fourth Gym Leader - Stow-On-Side
Tumblr media
Stow-On-Side is where the Arena Challengers take on the fourth Gym Leader, Tosuke Megishima.
In my eyes, Stow-On-Side’s aesthetic perfectly match a Ground Type Gym Leader which is a type I could see Megishima working with. Also, I don’t know, Stow-On-Side just generally gives me Megishima-Vibes. I’d like to point out that in this AU, Megishima is the one to refuse using Dynamax instead of the Gym Leader of Spikemuth.
Megishima gives out the Ground-Badge and confronts Challengers with a Ground-Type Focused Team. I like to think he also does train some other types in his free time but I haven’t decided which yet ovo;; But I’m leaning to Steel and maybe Bug or Normal?
His first Pokemon was a Hippopotas which is not a Hippowdon.
Tumblr media
Fifth Gym Leader - Ballonlea
Tumblr media
Ballonlea is home to the Gym in which Momo Akanegakubo resides.
Ballonlea is very magical and has huge fairytale-vibes. Whenever Momo cooks, there’s also much Fairytale imagery going on (e.g. She was shown as Red Riding Hood, she was compared to the Fairy Godmother from “Cinderella”, when eating her food the judges imagined themselves turning into pixies etc.) Also, given that Fairy-Pokemon are for the most part very cute and all, I can definitely see the cuteness-obsessed Momo training the Fairy-Type.
So yes, Momo hands out the Fairy-Badge.
Her first Pokemon was a Milcery, which is now an Alcremie.
Tumblr media
Sixth Gym Leader - Circhester
Tumblr media
Circhester is where you face the sixth Gym Leader, Nene Kinokuni.
Circhester has something a little rustically but still very beautiful to it in my opinion (it’s my favorite city actually) and I love it’s snowy atmosphere. Given how Nene does have her rustical sides and also can certainly be seen as frosty, I can perfectly picture her as the gym leader of this town.
Nene hands out the Psycho-Badge and faces Arena Challengers with a Psycho-Specialised Team. She’s known to have a great talent for Ice Pokemon as well though and trains them privately.
Her first Pokemon ever was a Hatenna, which is now a Hatterene.
Tumblr media
Eight Gym Leader - Spikemuth
Tumblr media
Spikemuth is the eight city to encounter and it’s home to the Arena where the Challengers have to face of against Etsuya Eizan.
Out of the Elite 10 members, the Toned-Down-Yakuza-Man just fits the dark, grim alleyway aesthetics the best I’d say. He’s shady. He fits into this town, change my mind. Something for this AU though is that Spikemuth does in fact have a Gym and it’s also a bit bigger than in the game. I like the idea that in this AU, it’s not a city that’s without resources, but more of a city thats truly plagued with a really high crime rate(?). It’s basically survival of the fittest in this city. If you can’t defend yourself, you’re going to go down.
Anyway, I hope that made sense, but well Eizan gives out the Dark-Badge. He does also have knowledge around the Steel and Poison Type (or maybe Electric...I could picture both, not sure yet) though.
His first Pokemon was a Nickit, which is now a Thievul.
Tumblr media
Ninth Gym Leader - Hammerlocke
Tumblr media
Hammerlocke has the last Arena the Challengers have to master and it’s where they meet the strongest out of the Gym Leader, Rindou Kobayashi.
In the game this is the spot where you face the Dragon-Type Gym Leader in the end and I can most perfectly see Rindou working with Dragon Pokemon. Also, she’s the most epic to face off against last before having to take on Eishi, so there’s that.
Her first Pokemon was an Axew now a Haxorus.
Tumblr media
-
So yeah this was random, but thanks for listening I guess ;w; I know I’m not the best at it, but it’s still fun to think about. Should I really write that lil’, silly fanfic, now you know some more info, haha.
In case anyone is interested in that, I could also do that for the Next Gen Elites ovo;;

Can you please a short Christmas drabble for EtsuNe? Thanks In advance
Anon, I’m so sorry but I completely forgot about the drabble having to be Christmas-Related when I was writing ;w; So….it’s not about Christmas. But it’s at least a litte longer.
I really, really hope you’re okay with that.
Again, sorry for me being so forgetful >.
Also I hope you’re going to like it ;w; I worry a little that it might be a bit OOC
Etsuya stared at the tickets in his hands like they were dripping deadly poison.A few weeks ago his aunt had basically shoved two tickets for an opera  into his hands falsely assuming that he would be in any way glad to go.Truth to be told, he had played with the idea of selling those tickets to someone else but ultimately decided to keep them. Not because of love for his aunt or something (she was just as horrible as everyone else in his family including him) but rather because he saw a chance of meeting potential useful contacts on such a fine event. It was a very grand opera house after all and a premiere as well. Auntie surely had not been cheap with her gift. The only remaining problem was that he didn’t want to go alone, because that would just look weird wouldn’t it? Who the fuck would go into an opera on their own, except some over-excited weirdo-nerd?The thing was: although his aunt gifted him two tickets she did not only had the illusion that he liked operas, she also had the illusion that Etsuya had anyone in his life he could just casually ask to accompany him on the opera night. In the end the acquaintances he was mostly around with were his colleagues in the Elite 10, so he came to the conclusion that it might be the best to ask one of them. And giving it even further thought he decided to ask his classmate Nene Kinokuni. She seemed to be someone who might be into operas and was also by far one of the more bearable persons in the Elite 10. Etsuya could imagine that she would barely talk to him and would just tag along to watch the show. She would not be in the way when he was trying to gain business parents and would not embarrass him, like he could imagine Rindou to do. However one hurdle still stood in the way: Actually asking her.And that takes us to where we are now. Etsuya Eizan standing in the lounge intended for the Elite of Totsuki almost like a statue while holding the opera tickets like they were burning his hands. His target, a pretty, bespectacled woman who had her green hair tied into pigtails, was sitting a little away from the usual Elite chaos, neatly on the coach, gracefully crossed legs, reading a  book. She immediately looked up, when he finally approached her and called out. “Kinokuni!”He had always been a little fascinated with how red eyes could look and feel so cold. Nene’s eyes never failed to harshly pierce through anything and everyone, perfectly capable of tearing anyone apart who came unprepared. However when she looked at Etsuya, there was always something else beside the usual coldness. It was almost like she was scanning him, searching for possible spots of blood anywhere on him.Etsuya took a sharp breath. This was not going to be easy.
“What is it, Eizan?” Asked Nene, her tone indicating she would like to return to her book already. Etsuya scratched the back of his neck, quickly skipping through various conversation starters in his head. In the end he decided to go with a classic. “So, how are you today?”“Good.” Nene stated, quick and simple. Etsuya mentally slapped himself. He should have known better than to try small talk with Nene. Her eyes trailed down to the words in her book again.“Great. So, there’s something I wanted to ask you.” He hastily added, to get her attention back. She did look back up to him, frowning. “Yes?”He adjusted his glasses and cleared his throat, hoping he was still coming across as professional and not as desperate. “I was wondering, do you by any chance enjoy classical music?” She raised an eyebrow, clearly wondering what got this question into his head before answering. “I have nothing against it.” Once again she was about to return to her book, but once again she had to stop in motion as Etsuya kept the conversation going. “So you like operas too?” This time their eye-contact was exceptionally short. “Yes.” She sighed as Etsuya didn’t let her off the hook again as he said. “So uhm…There is a chance that you would enjoy a visit to the premiere of an opera….?” This time she looked at him as if he was stupid. But before she could say her short, frosty “Yes” suddenly another voice that had not been part of the conversation yet interjected.“Oh, Nene! Have mercy with this poor man already and just let him ask you out at last!” It was without the doubt the more than amused voice of Rindou Kobayashi who was exposing her cat-like fangs once again by grinning ever-so widely. She was looking at them from over the coaches standing a little away from Nene’s and to Etsuya’s dismay the other Elites had now turned their heads as well.Momo was leaning towards Somei to whisper something to him, a hint of surprise could be seen on Tosuke’s face, Eishi only laughed nervously, Satoshi just had the familiar, happy smile on his face like usual, Erina had raised an eyebrow and Terunori seemed to be right in front of bursting into laughter. He felt heat rush into his head and wondered if it’s cause was the lust for murder that had build up in him or the sheer, utter embarrassment that made him want to disappear. Before he could made an decision on wether to kill Rindou or the hectically proclaim he had a meeting to attend so he could rush out of the room, his thought-process was suddenly interrupted by Nene’s surprised voice behind him.“You….You…..You want what?”He turned around to her, expecting to be met with the ultimate death glare  that would surely haunt him for years. But to his astonishment he turned around to a wide-eyed, flustered-looking girl whose cheeks had taken on a bright shade of red.Quickly he denyingly waved his hands. “I….I swear it’s not supposed to be a date!” He quickly threw a scowl at Rindou who chuckled. “Yes, of course.” Before he held up the two tickets. “All I wanted to ask is for you to accompany me on this opera premiere that I got tickets for from my stupid aunt!” “And that’s not a date?” He turned his head to roar. “Rindou-senpai, I swear to fucking-“ And being so caught in the act, he didn’t notice how Nene took the tickets he had held out for her from his hands. She looked over them and suddenly her eyes lit up as she read the opera’s title. She lifted her head again to look at Etsuya only to witness that he was still busy with yelling at Rindou and now also at Terunori who decided it could be fun to join this conversation. However at some point Rindou and Terunori started to ignore Etsuya more and more, rather having their own discussion on how a possible wedding between a refined lady and a thug could look like. The other Elites had also lost interest and were busy with their own conversations again.Noticing that it was pointless to continue on yelling, Etsuya calmed down a little and just grunted. “Idiots.”He planned to take his leave now, as he suddenly heard someone clearing their throat behind him.He turned around and met the ever-so emotionless face of Nene Kinokuni.“If we’re going to attend this occasion, I expect you to be dressed properly for once at least.” She took a quick, disapproving look at the lousy way he was wearing his school uniform to underline her point before looking at his dumbfounded face again. “Also you don’t have to pick me up, I’ll get to the opera house myself.” She straightened her skirt. “I think that covers everything…” She stood up, ready to leave. “I’ll see you tomorrow.” Etsuya snapped out of the trance he had been in and suddenly called out, completely flabbergasted. “Wait….So…So..You actually want to go?”In his head there was a broad tumult going on in trying to figure out how in the world he had managed to achieve that. Now she looked at him as if he was stupid again. “Yes, I do. Otherwise I wouldn’t have said what I just said, no?”He gritted his teeth and only let out grumble. But then for a few seconds, her expression actually seemed to soften a little and she looked to the ground. “Thanks for thinking about me…” She mumbled. But before he could retort anything, she already swirled around and made her way to the door.

Ok we all knew it was coming but im gonna ask anyway: Sorina for your ask? 😁 and also Eirin if you dont mind:D
Sorina
The parents -
Who first brought up having/adopting kids?
Souma is soooo good with kids, which kind of made Erina think about it (especially after Alice has her first child and she’s overtaken by the proud auntie feels).
Which parent is most overprotective?
Souma actually is, especially when their son starts travelling with Jouichirou (his lovable, but sort of irresponsible grandfather).
Which parent is most supportive?
Both of them!!!
Which parent expects the most from their child?
Erina has very high expectations in terms of academic performance and general education. Those are about the only things she’s strict about, though.
Which parent is more likely to spoil their child?
Nakiri gave-my-fourteen-year-old-son-a-travel-rewards-credit-card-with-no-limit Erina.
Which parent does the child go to to get their way?
Erina will forever be her son’s best advocate.
Which parent is the best at singing lullabies?
Both of them can really hold a tune, but I’d say Erina is better at it.
Which parent finds it harder to let go?
Definitely Souma! He’d probably be that dad who kind of tears up at graduation.
The kid -
What the kids name is and the meaning behind it.
Yukihira Raiden. The given name Raiden is an alternative spelling of Raijin, a god of thunder and lightning in Japanese mythology. I liked this name because of the comparison between Yukihira men and powerful gods (like Jouichirou with Asura, and I imagine that Souma will be associated with some deity by the time the manga is over).
What traits the kid has that doesn’t reflect their parents.
He’s very philosophical and observant in a way that neither Souma nor Erina ever had the time to be.
What the kids favorite clothing style is.
Kind of hipster.
What their favorite cartoon is.
Original Teen Titans.
What skills their parents try to pass down to them.
Outside of various cooking techniques, I’d definitely say language is the big one!!! Raiden learns Spanish from his mother and French from his father and English from both.
What their future might be.
He will probably end up inheriting the Nakiri empire at some point, but before that I can see him starring in a food/travel documentary series. Film has always been his secondary interest, after cooking.
The family -
Who the child’s godparents are.
Hisako and Akira, probably.
Do their parents plan on giving them any siblings?
Maybe a little sister at some point.
What is the child’s first pet?
A golden lab (between the dog, Erina, and Raiden, Souma is surrounded by blondes).
How do they get along with any extended family members?
Really well, actually. He definitely acts differently around the Nakiri side of the family than he does around Grandpa Jo and the regulars at OG Restaurant Yukihira, though.
(EiRin under the cut)
The parents -
Who first brought up having/adopting kids?
Rindou just rolls up on Eishi one day and says “Put a kid in me.”
Which parent is most overprotective?
Eishi, the poor anxious soul.
Which parent is most supportive?
Rindou is a top-tier cheer squad all by herself.
Which parent expects the most from their child?
Eishi, probably. He is a perfectionist, after all.
Which parent is more likely to spoil their child?
RINDOU!!!
Which parent does the child go to to get their way?
Rindou!
Which parent is the best at singing lullabies?
Eishi, actually.
Which parent finds it harder to let go?
Rindou does. “What do you mean I can’t visit him at Totsuki every day?”
The kid -
What the kids name is and the meaning behind it.
Kobayashi Haruo. I didn’t choose the name for a specific reason, but I liked the idea of him having Rindou’s surname.
What traits the kid has that doesn’t reflect their parents.
He can be pretty composed when he wants to be.
What the kids favorite clothing style is.
Doesn’t put too much thought into it. Once the clothes are clean, it’s fine.
What their favorite cartoon is.
South Park (it’s Rindou’s kid, after all)
What skills their parents try to pass down to them.
Rindou introduces him to a lot of strange foods at a young age to expand his palate (and his mind). Eishi tries to make him someone who is capable of sitting down to get work done without distractions.
What their future might be.
He might be the type to change careers whenever he gets bored.
The family -
Who the child’s godparents are.
I actually don’t know. I can see Saito as the godfather, though.
Do their parents plan on giving them any siblings?
Definitely. I can see them with at least three kids.
What is the child’s first pet?
A PYTHON!
How do they get along with any extended family members?
Eishi’s parents wonder how they ended up with such a precocious grand child. Rindou’s side of the family adores him, though.
