Ok so, there's this little tidbit of info that I've seen going around that Giyuu can't swim despite being the Water Hashira (whatever that means 🙄).

I know it isn't a Taisho secret that's mentioned in the main manga, it isn't in any of the light novels or the databook or the Corps record. So where did this come from?

Well, I did a little digging (just a Google search really) and this is the only source I can find of origin, I figured that because it's been shared on different websites.

It turns out that it's just a meme 🤦🏽‍♀️

I get put off so bad with how people think their headcanons are canon like with the obanai bought a ring for mitsuri and was waiting to propose.....

I mean its a cute headcanon to have but canonically he would never do that since he has a whole traumatic backstory holding him back and he literally said he doesn't think he deserves her and he should die before marrying her (and one thing proposing with rings wasnt a thing back then until the west heavily influenced Japan)

Hiii anon! Thanks for the rant, I totally get it 😂. You're not invading at all, and you're right about the Demon Slayer fandom and it's level of misinformation and gullibility.

The misinformation spread and just the general tendency of the fans to take things at face value, to ask such stupid, mind-numbing questions, the constant power scaling and the emphasis that the animation is the only thing the series has going for it, makes me believe that the fandom is populated mostly by children and also 13 - 16 year olds.

And what's so maddening is that you hear folks complain and complain about anime or media in general really explaining too much, not having much depth and treating the audience like they're idiots and yet they post shit like this 🤦🏽‍♀️

They complain about characters not having enough depth when they don't even take the time to examine these characters and themes.

Like if I see one more post asking if the elemental effects are real or not, I swear I'm going to lose it ughhhhhhhhh.

But yea I get your anger 100000% and it's completely justified. The ring thing is good as a headcanon but taking it as actual canon when it doesn't even fit into the time period is beyond stupid.
