@autisticshadowthehedgehog inspired me to connect Lydia the Bard’s songs about Disney princesses becoming villains in AUs with Sonic characters. I rewrote two of those songs for Surge and Kit. But they’re already villains/anti-villains in canon. This time I’ve actually rewritten a song with an animatic script for an AU where a hero throws away their morals.

That hero is Knuckles! Because he has such a tragic life that it would be not only understandable, but downright cathartic in a sense for him to abandon his duty and do what he wants. Even the most honourable person can break. So this is an AU where he stays alone on Angel Island during the trying events of Sonic Forces while Sonic is ‘dead’, and… spirals. Badly.
