Premades Connected to Legacy

Throughout the legacy there are a number of Premades that make it into the story. At the beginning of the legacy I had no intention of adding premade stories into my storyline but I did want to give my heirs (Uriah and Abigail) backstories and families so I selected two premade families that already had children and renamed them. The first two generations I did not try very hard to stick to the integrity of the characters so many of the early characters have made up histories, changed names and regrettably (in the case of Cecilia Kang) changed skin tone so that their similarities to the originals are very slim.

Watson Family - Renamed as the Hoffman Family and given an 1890’s makeover. Rahmi and Rashidah were both renamed to Miriam and Rebecca. I added Abigail as their oldest daughter According to lore Thomas’ family owned most of Old New Henford which is a concept I kept along with Rashida (Rebecca)’s relationship with Rahul.

Harris Family - Renamed to the Mizrahi family. Faye and Francine were renamed to Faline and Fallon. Uriah (my heir) was added into their family as the second son in order to give some backstory to my legacy. Though not directly mentioned in the story I imagine Faline originated from Evergreen Harbor and brought some unconventional ideas that made people like Thomas Hoffman look down on them.

Rahul Chopra - I kept the original relationship between him and Rebecca (Rashidah) and his poor upbringing. Even though they never moved out of Henford they both have aspirations of leaving.

Cecilia Kang - Cecilia meets Gideon Mizrahi (Harris) while in Windenburg. The only thing similar to the premade character is her desire to move to farm country and her name. Her appearance was completely changed in my legacy due to my original concept being that the family had Jewish origins and needed to marry other Jews. Later that idea changed into marrying within one’s world of origin.

Bailey-Moon Family - Thorne was accidentally added into the family when Daniel Mizrahi fell in love with Elena Bailey. After a generation Thorne and Octavia had had at least 5 children in addition to Orange. I did not realize that Elena was Thorne’s daughter until I decided to have Daniel go and ask her father’s permission to marry. From this came the concept that all the worlds were growing and moving around each other and had yet to settle into their permanent location which is how Thorne could live in the Valley be the Dean of the college and send his daughter to Henford for school. Octavia.

Knox Greenburg - The first premade I specifically selected for the storyline though I did not look closely into his lore but focused mainly on his most well-known characteristic of being a Recycle Disciple. He was childhood friends with Anabelle Gillain and lived with the 3rd gen characters as hobos eventually marrying Kaylee Hoffman. He and his wife founded the first Community Center in Evergreen Harbor

Extra Trivia: William Pigulock was specifically named after the Pigolock Manor in Evergreen Harbor with the intention of eventually inheriting the manor.

Don Lothario - Don is known for being a Serial Romantic though beyond that his character is considerably changed in my legacy where he’s a pimp. Initially I intended to have the Caliente’s be dancers that worked for him and be friends of Sofia but when infants were released the focus of that generation shifted.

Landgraab Family - The Landgraab’s were the first family I really worked to stick to their lore while also putting my own twist on them. Nancy was introduced as a child and grew up with Ava Mizrahi allowing me to introduce her parents at one point and give a backstory of how she met and fell in love with a doctor. Nancy fit well with Ava who had her own mean streak and Geoffrey fit right into my San Sequoia Secrets arc. By the time Ava’s gen was done Nancy had taken over her father’s business and had baby Malcolm.

Holly Alto - Holly is the only Altonin Sims4 and only had a small part in the legacy but her Uncle Bert had a slightly bigger part as the scummy fiancé of Nancy Landgraab until she fell in love with Geoffrey

Kyle Kyleson - Kyle was the first premade to marry directly into the family tree. Growing Together was released just before Ava was born and since I knew she’d be my 70s heir I knew he would be her SO. While I mostly made him his own character I did develop an arc where he couch surfed for a short time and took on his classic look.

Michaelson Family - As the most well known family living in San Sequoia is it didn’t seem right to leave the Michaelsons out of it so when Ava moved to San Seq she became close friends with Celeste. I hadn’t initially intended to include Celeste’s sexuality but eventually made it a part of the San Sequoia Secrets and made them adopting their children a big part of the plot after deciding to introduce the lesser known Dudley Landgraab

Johnny Zest - Johnny was introduced briefly at the beginning of the Fast Generation in a flash forward where his career is slipping. In current times he has just started releasing music as a Ranch Singer and is all the rage among the young ladies.

Sienna & Flapjack - A famous Equestrian rider who is Kylan Marie’s hero. She has just recently been introduced.

Grove Family - Has not fully been introduced. They are related to one of Kylan Marie’s love interests and have a connection to the spirits of the Ridge.

Mai Prescott - Went to high school with Kylan Marie and has currently only been seen as a teenager in flashbacks where she is good friends with Lindsey Prescott.

Ty all for the makeover suggestions!! I had a lot of fun making my own versions of the townies, which I have never done before.

As you can see their appearance is pretty faithful to their original. I consider my style to be a more realistic and enhanced version of the EA style. While it's not super obvious (aside from Baby Ariel), I did tweak their facial features and bodies a bit since frankly... EA can make their sims look pretty wacky.

Anyway, I hope you like them!! Full-body screenies and explanations for each townie are below the cut.

Nancy Landgraab (suggested by @plumbobpaparazzi)

I never really liked Nancy's OG look. I feel like she doesn't look classy enough for her status as head of the Landgraab family/company, so my goal for her was to really make her live up her to status. Her hairstyle pays homage to her sims 3 incarnation and frankly, I think she looks better with her hair up than down.

As for her facial features, her eyebrows her tweaked to be less janky-looking but still looking like she could fire you any time. They were also darkened because you cannot for the life of me see them in her OG look. Her nose, lips, and chest were also tweaked to look extra perfect/plump to really emphasize that she's had some procedures done 🤭 I also redid her makeup.

Maaike Haas (suggested by @micrathene-w)

Maaike is seriously an underrated sim and I wish they did her better. I started off by tweaking her facial features because they looked really janky (esp her eyes, I gave her a new preset entirely), so I softened them up and now she looks so much better (while retaining her overall OG look) I also widened her waist because it looked too narrow for her body shape.

I think EA wanted to go for an academia look for her, but the problem with that back when Get Together released was that there really wasn't a lot of academia-esque clothes. The blazer she wears made her look older and the skirt she had was frankly a little too long, so my goal with Maaike was to really give her that cute academia look. I think she turned out amazing and I like her a lot more because of it! I hope you think so too 💖

Baby Ariel (suggested by @akitasimblr)

My biggest problem with Baby Ariel is that the sim looks nothing like her, so she got the appearance biggest tweaks out of everyone. I did a total revamp for her so that Baby Ariel could look more like her real life self. Besides that, I updated her look so she could look more like her present self.

Catarina Lynx (suggested by @chaoticpixls)

I think my goal for our favorite cat-lover here was to make her less... tacky? I still wanted her to be recognizably herself; bouncy and obviously a cat-lover, but cuter and more put-together, if that makes any sense. I also wanted her to appear a bit younger.

I think the biggest sin EA did with the cats/dogs pack is not include a cat/dog beanie. This girl totally rocks it and although that brimmed cap she wore was cute, I think she looks a lot better with a hat that has makeshift cat ears (and not that hair that has the cat headband).

I also made her lipstick a lighter, because her OG shade is just way too dark for her. Sorry.

Knox Greenburg (suggested by @mustanoita)

Ok, my biggest question about how EA did Knox was why he looks so trashy for someone who is big about climate change, going green, recycling, etc. So my goal for Knox was to make him look less trashy and more outdoorsy. I also wanted to make him look younger because he just... looks really old lol. So I gave him a new eye preset, made his cheeks fuller, and gave him a slightly different hair color. I also gave him a new hairstyle that's similar to his OG to really give him that handsome flair because... honestly, EA did him dirty.

Penny Pizzazz (suggested by @ashubii)

Penny's OG look is alright by itself, but I don't think it works that well for Penny since she's meant to be a fashionista who knows what's trending. Also her earrings and shoes did not match with that dress at all. So I gave her a cute trendy outfit that still screams "classy." I also changed her hair because I never liked it and I HC her hair texture to be wavy/curly and not straight so I went with a curlier and more voluminous hairstyle with braids because Penny absolutely slays with braids.

Townie Baby Challenge

Using a matriarch (or any sim that can get pregnant) try to have a baby with every single pre made townie in the game and raise those children to adulthood without them dying or being taken away. As more packs come out more townies and babies will be had.

Rules

Must have at least 1 baby with every pre made sim. This doesn’t count sims from the trailer on the gallery that gurus or maxis post. These sims must be already in the world and in everyone’s game.

Cheats can be used to change pregnancy ability of different sims.

Must start with average funds and build up house from there.

Cannot have a baby with the same sim twice.

Cannot marry until matriarch becomes and elder.

If child dies or is taken away, another baby with that child’s parent is needed. (If you have twins and one dies no need to do this).

Matriarch cannot get a job.

Toddlers must get all skills to level 3 to age up.

Children must get two skills to level 5 and get an A in school.

Teens must get an A in school and have two skills at level 5.

Skills should relate to parents traits. (Parents from a certain pack’s children should have skills from that pack).

Must wait until underage sims age up to young adult to have a baby with them.

If matriarch dies before finishing this then youngest daughter (or impregnable child) completes the challenge.
