literally anytime they're alone on a mission Ax and Marco have the same dynamic as Elfangor and Loren in the Andalite Chronicles. Like, the scene with them on the Yeerk ship in Megamorphs #1 is the same villain, the same Star Trek references, the same unhinged planning on the Andalite's part... Earlier, Marco was joyriding just like Elfangor did in the Mustang. Its like... they're literally mirroring the canon married couple and I'm supposed to be like, oh, they're bros.

#shut up az #animorphs #I genuinely think that Elfangor would be so thrilled that Ax has Marco to be that for him because like #no one else on the team really fills the same role for him #someone to tease him and get him to relax #like Cassie could get him to see the emotional side of things but I think she's too respectful about it #Sometimes Andalites have to be shoved around a little bit before they let themselves be vulnerable #anyway Marco is like 500% more chaotic and ruthless than Loren is but you #know what I really think Elfangor would be like who am I to judge what Ax likes in a man #also Ax is simply more down for murder than Elfangor is at the beginning of the Andalite Chronicles so
