A dragon's scales can repell both physical and magical attacks, and their fire is strong enough to melt stone (HELLO?)

The only thing that can protect against their fire is the world's highest magic resistance metal, "Mystium" (I guess this is what the Knight of Dawn's armour was made of ���)

and the only thing that can hurt a dragon is a sword made of hard magic stones containing a special purity magic

The point is, they need ultra-rare materials for this. Idia's parents worked with Baul and somehow managed to find metal for the armour, but no luck with the magic stone for the sword

Ik this has been done countless times over but I wanted to put together the lads flowers together cuz it’s so interesting to read into all of them. Also I also know multiple flowers are attributed to the LI’s so bear with me

TLDR; getting into way too much detail abt flowers (thats not pertinent to the lore lmao) for fictional men in an otome game

Xavier

(I’m starting with him cuz I found the most interesting theories abt his)

His flower looks the closest to (and probably is) a Forget Me Not, meaning eternal true love, respect, remembrance, devotion/faithfulness, and royalty (King Henry IV made it his flower idk lol)

There is a European legend that states that a woman was trying to pick some flowers and fell into a river. A knight saves her but he cannot save himself so he yells “forget me not” to her as he gets swept away. The woman names the flowers Forgot Me Nots and wears them till her death.

Self sacrifice for a woman?? Hello?? Xavier????

But a post from Reddit by @/mimi_gail figured that one of Xavier’s other flowers could be a Menzies baby blue eyes, the post states

“It means woodland loving and has been derived from latin nemos and Greek PHILOS.”

Menzies baby blue eyes are attributed to love, innocence and healing from past trauma and abuse, especially from masculine figures. I think it’s a bit of a far stretch to say Menzies are close to Xavier, even with philos from its Greek name. Philos primarily means friend and can also be lover or love. For example philosophy means love of wisdom. In the Bible it’s is mainly translated as friend. Multiple meanings. Take that as you will.

And also more lore on Forget Me Not’s from @/mimi_gail,

“DID YOU know that ANOTHER name for "forget me not" flowers is "chico XAVIER", they are known as XAVIER flowers. Do you think that's why xavier's appearance is blonde hair and blue eyes??? Because of how the flowers look???”

I looked that up and it’s actually a person, a Brazilian spiritualist who used Forget Me Not’s as a kind of medium. Interesting stuff. Probably an insane coincidence but still cool.

Another post on Reddit (@/prlmlkt) says blue flax flower is another good one stating,

“It could be the blue flax flower... It symbolizes life and death cycles, purity, perseverance, and rebirth. In some cultures, it symbolizes faith in action and loyal love.”

The blue flax flower is a resilient and hardy flower, very reminiscent of how Xavier had to be, being on Earth for so long. It also symbolizes delight and simplicity, like how I feel Xavier had fallen into a sort of quiet life before me met MC again.

Wavyleaf Sea Lavender comes up as it’s mentioned somewhere he uses it as a sleep aid (it’s canon lol) Since he loves sleep it does make sense. It symbolizes remembrance and tranquility. Google AI says it can also express “I miss you” but I dunno where it got that from. I just wanted to add this in here.

I have also seen that some people say cosmos’ are a good candidate too. I looked a bit into it and cosmos symbolize order, harmony, and peace. Blue cosmos in particular symbolize desire and inspiration like a muse. It is also the birth flower for October! I dunno if I buy into cosmos but still very interesting to learn abt

Rafayel

(I’m going to be so honest and say I know the least about Raf’s lore and overall story but I’ll try my best)

Rafayels flower is a Flame Lily, also known as the Gloriosa Lily.

A striking and vibrant red, yellow, and pink that suits Rafayel perfectly.

It symbolizes passion, love, and nobility, also harbinger of good fortune (how ironic). It is a strong cultural symbol in our world, finding ties in Africa, India and Hinduism. National flower of Zimbabwe, it likes hot and dry climates and is highly toxic to humans lol.

I always found it morbidly ironic that the god of the sea who sacrificed his people for his bride was reborn(?) with a fire evol. That and his underwater civilization was dried up into a desert, where the fame lily would love to grow.

(There’s lore in this picture I just know it but I dunno what it is yet) (just look how he’s holding his, Zayne’s, and Xavier’s flowers) (lore is there I know it)

Another flower I feel like would a good fit is a bleeding heart (cuz.. yknow)

Bleeding hearts symbolize sorrow, passionate love, and loss/abandonment. I know I’m getting very literal but you can see it right??

Another is camellia flowers. Symbolizing affection and admiration, the pink ones show longing for someone and the red ones deep desire.

I also think the many petal layers of the camellia parallels nicely to how deep and complex a character Rafayel is. He seems aloof and bratty but the deep seated fears of abandonment and rejection that keep popping up is heart wrenching. This man is so anxious for MC to remember and love him again. (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)

and very briefly ik there are theories as to some of his accessories being safely pins and bro auggghhhh that really hurts to know how much he is just barely holding on for her.

Hey guys so a while back I went insane and made a list of things we know about Luocha and the coffin entity that took an hour of scrounging every second of screen time and references to his person

These lists were made as of 2.1.

So what we know about the Coffin Entity TM:

•Is being delivered to the Xianzhou despite the fact nobody on the Xianzhou stores their dead the way this person is stored. Also, Lucoha hasn’t “delivered” it yet he still is carting it around despite being on the Xianzhou. It also seems whoever he’s delivering it to is of the Ten Lords Commission and he's aiming to go to the Xianzhou Xuling with it

•They met only once and it was during some sort of conflict Luocha became involved in

•The coffin is being delivered on somebody else’s behalf, possibly the deceased’s or another third party's

•The coffin entity is not considered a friend, lover, or relative

•Luocha proposed a deal of some kind that he’s still waiting to see the entity uphold

•The entity isn’t quite dead as it is temperamental and jabs Luocha with thorny vines when he upsets it. The coffin also has an emphasis on being silent as though whatever is in it can talk back and chooses not to

•Luocha considers their relationship a business one

•Luocha says he and the entity underestimated each other, particularly when Luocha proposed the deal

•He states he and the entity both wanted to use each other

And now, what we know about Luocha:

•He’s a wandering merchant who is registered with the IPC and the Xianzhou Yuque

•He seems to come from an aristocratic or wealthy background based on his clothes and speech and sword (An Épée which is used in fencing, a sport typically practiced by European royalty and the upper class since the 14th Century as that’s when the oldest fencing records seem to hail from)

•He’s considered an Abomination of the Abundance and he confirms his power stems from Yaoshi

•He has no home according to him

•He can heal both organic and inorganic life forms

•He’s looking into immortality of some kind which is interesting because he also seems to have a negative view of immortality and even notes Mara-struck being used as "sacrifices to the Abundance". He also says yearning for immortality as a short-life species is normal and to avoid doing so would be like killing an Aeon.

•He wants to kill Yaoshi

•He’s working with Jingliu to kill Yaoshi and I think Jingliu is the “other business” he had to attend to

•He isn’t the one who snuck on the Stellaron despite turning himself in for doing so. He says he delivered it without knowing its significance but once again he can can sense Stellarons so that doesn't hold much water, but who knows it's murky.

•He doesn’t know VA (Void Archives)

•He he’s wary of Jing Yuan and tries to avoid to being watched by him

•He “changes his mask” so to speak to fit in different situations which matches the fact he goes by the alias Luocha when on the Xianzhou

•His clothes are that of his home world and he wears them “to remind him of the path he must keep treading”

•On his home planet he was involved with a church/church-based society

•His city was destroyed and he was perhaps the only survivor? Possibly related to the Knight of Purity Palace set?

•Many Xianzhou natives say he works and speaks like an older Xianzhou native

•He has a very similar design as Yaoshi

•Before he arrived on the Xianzhou he had a diviner tell him “not to be concerned with the destination, but to seize [his] chances and travel with the current to reap the greatest harvest”

•Luocha is an alias, not his real name, and he only goes by Luocha on the Xianzhou and his real name is noted to be a "tongue-twister" by himself and Jing Yuan

•He’s always wanted to visit the Herta Space Station

•According to Jing Yuan, he "isn't in any hurry to conduct business" and in Jingliu's quest he says Luocha didn't conduct any trade during his stay and his departure lined up with the calamities taking place

•He doesn't like seeing flowers wither but does later note "maybe it's not so bad after all"

•Jingliu says he's "just like her" in that he has a "hole" in his heart that no matter what he does he cannot fill it and just exhausts himself in the effort to do so

•He sells "uncommon trinkets"

•He's renting a like AirBNB type residence to stay in instead of the Petrichor Inn where he normally stays. He notes it "helps him forget his identity as a traveling merchant"

•He seems to like wine as he left us some when he departed from the Express

•The flower that is his motif is a actually a white iris, which represents innocence and purity and are often used at weddings or as sympathy flowers at funerals. A lot of fanon stuff will depict him with white lilies though, which represent rebirth and purity!

•Jing Yuan admitted he outsmarted him

•Luocha has a weird motif in his related achievements of dancing (Coffin Dancer and Wardance: Épée Trial)

•He broke into the Shackling Prison but seemingly did nothing. Luocha states that in doing so he found the Luofu didn't have what he was looking for

•Jing Yuan mentions he's infamous for being involved in matters at locations called Eternity Fortress and Shroudveil Starzone which I can't find mention of anywhere, so I don't know these locations

•Dahao tells us that upon being arrested Luocha was charged with identity fraud and smuggling dangerous bio-merchandise among other crimes, which Dahao points out is weird and vague.

•He considers the Clous Knight's devotion to Lan as making them "closed-minded". He says there's other factions other than those of Lan who want Yaoshi dead and that they must "look to the source for the solution" to severing Yaoshi's curse

•He also has an understanding of traditional medicine and will write prescriptions for people

•He likes to do little kind things for people with no expectation of being recognized or praised for it

•He constantly stresses he's a noncombatant and while he can hold his own in small-scale conflicts he seems to rely on more experienced fighters in more serious ones and this is reflected in his sword which an Épée, a kind of heavy fencing sword

•He’s interested in and holds a great deal of respect for Elias Salas which is interesting because Elias Salas is notable for not wanting to extend his lifespan despite being able to and died at 103

I probably missed some stuff but I scrounged all this from lightcones, voice lines, character stories, relic backstories, quests, messages, trailers, etc. If I missed anything let me know! Some of these are obviously more relevant than others but if I missed anything let me know and I'll add it to the list!

Casually lurking in Sailor Moon fandom and when I see posts mentioning the Shitennou's knightly titles, I think the translation are off. I don't know if those are just fansubs being wonky, or if even the official ones are not entirely correct...

I've also seen some posts say that "I don't understand what these means". The knightly titles are based on the image and properties associated with each gemstone in Japanese (so, if it has different meanings internationally, it's quite beside the point).

Jadeite: Knight of Resilience 忍耐 and Harmony 調和

忍耐 is often translated as "Patience" in fanworks. 忍耐 is better translated as "resilience", "perseverance", or "endurance". Even when colloquially used to say "be patient", the connotation of it is more along the lines of "endure this". The Harmony one is correct.

"Resilience" is because jadeite jade is the harder jade. "Harmony" because of its traditional usage in spiritual matters, so jade in general has the image of "peacefulness".

Nephrite: Knight of Wisdom 知恵 and Peace 安らぎ

This one makes me kind of laugh because of what Nephrite is like as a character/person. I almost always see 知恵 translated as "Intelligence". It's not wrong per se, but this term here refers to something deeper than just brain smarts, thus "wisdom". Things like wisdom that come from age, or innate perceptiveness, and so on.

安らぎ is peace, as in "inner peace". Basically, "serenity", though it's probably not a good idea to use this word in Sailor Moon for obvious reasons.

Nephrite being the native jade of China, it has been given very sagely meaning to it that persist even in Japanese symbolism. That's why it's like this, for somewhat similar reasons to jadeite's "harmony".

Kunzite: Knight of Virtue 純潔 and Benevolence 慈愛

純潔 can also mean Purity or Chastity. 慈愛 is sometimes translated as Affection, which is also not entirely wrong. It's just that the standard meaning is benevolence or mercy. "Affection" tends to be used in the context of parents and children. In this context probably not the best meaning to use.

This gemstone is associated with the Holy Mother Mary, of all things, that's why it's got very saintly imagery associated with it.

Zoisite: Knight of Purification 浄化 and Healing 癒し

The most straightforward one so I've never seen any wonky translation with this one. Those who are into healing crystals might already know this, but this title is based on the healing and purification qualities that a blue zoisite/tanzanite supposedly have.

That day, that fateful evening, I was at a pond, the one I would always go to when I would train my healing abilities - my mind wafting saved for another day. I would usually go out in the sunshine to the pond, but I was preoccupied by my royal duties, the ones my older sister, Prin, passed down to me.

Being here gave me a sense of relaxation and tranquillity with the music the frogs gave, the gentle ripping of the waters, and the pond lilies that soaked up the moonlight. I liked the pond lilies best, for I felt connected with them. They symbolise innocence, purity, peace, wellness and hope. 

I start off my training with meditation, trying to become one with my soul. Taking deep breaths and closing my eyes, I begin to focus on my intentions. I tried my best to connect with my surroundings, to embrace the spirit of Mother Nature and her healing blessings. All was going well, until I heard distant cries coming from the palace. That stirred all the possible scenarios that could happen any minute in my creative mind that was whizzing with images, leaving me forgetting to breathe, and that fear choking me, as if I were to die. Only when I felt dizzy did I snap my eyes open, gasping for air after, unintentionally, holding my breath. Though feeling light-headed, I stumbled my way through the green forest to the palace, and there I saw the massacre of my people. Those purple clothed figures using their dark magic to slain them all, it was heart-clenching, and all I did was just stand there, petrified, not saving anything that regarded my kingdom, whether it be the people or the palace. 

But who’s the figure helplessly on the ground, crystal tears rolling down her red cheeks? When I squinted my eyes, I only knew one person who looked just like her: my mother. As if the universe wanted to silence me, my knights and advisors took a grip on me, one of them clamping my mouth shut with their hand. That didn’t stop all my muffled screaming, causing the people to notice me. The Queen mouths a ‘I love you’ to me, before launching herself between the witches’ curses and me. 

I didn’t know what was worse: seeing my mother die right before my eyes, or not knowing what would’ve happened to her. As for Prin and Father, I still don’t know what their ending shall be, and I never will. I was dragged off by the remaining knights and advisors, who told me to comply as it was an order from the, now, late queen. I wanted to stay, I really did, but thinking that my mother arranged this, that she died for 𝐦𝐞 in hope that this would happen encouraged me to keep her wish fulfilled. Though I was rushed away into a carriage, I twisted my neck painfully, unsure of the upcoming moments. Just as we rode away, Prin came into view, slowly walking into the palace, our home, with her sword raised, and rocks flying in the air as a result of her gravity powers. 

And that was all I knew, all I knew about the destruction of Oztenxia, the destruction of a great kingdom. 

“Hey, are you the new girl?”

You stir in your cursed sleep, half awake, half indulged in the strange nightmare. Droplets stain the pillows again as you fall back into your nightmare.

“Geez, she’s crying!”

“And she’s in her uniform…that’s weird.”

Noticing the extra company, you force yourself into waking up, rubbing your eyes that were flooded with such emotion. There, you were greeted by two figures, both very beautiful, as a reflection of their wealth. They’re, too, in their uniform, earning your confusion as you look outside. It’s night, moon halfway through its cycle, a black canvas with sparkles overlooking the academy. You came in at an orange sunset, with the moon following not too far behind. You mustn’t have been knocked out that long, according to your calculations.

“Woah, you’re pretty.” Says one of the girls, interrupting your train of thought. The other one nods, too busy taking note of all your features.

“You’re Isabelle, right? I checked your ID card.” She holds up the rectangular plastic that has a picture of yourself, this school confusing your mind once again.

You smile back, not needing to introduce yourself since they’ve already read the main information from your ID card. You thought this was a silly question to ask, but you wanted to know how high their statuses were. “Are you guys rich?”

You panic, unusure on where you did come from, since you’ve never really heard the name of your birthplace. Without any other option, you decided to rely on that strange nightmare, and hoping it exists.

“I come from Oztenxia.” You say smoothly, since what you know of that place was that it was a kingdom, so best act like you’re from one, despite already showing your true self before you even gained consciousness.

This, however, gives the girls a shock, “OZTENXIA? THE KINGDOM OF OZTENXIA!?” Chae-won bellows.

This further creates more anxiety for you, 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝑰 𝒅𝒐𝒏𝒆…

The two move about, walking up and down at a fast pace, trying to process the information you just gave. “You’re joking, right?” Eun-chae asks in disbelief, hands on either side of her hips. Chae-won taps her toe in expectation.

“Um…no?” You said questioningly, fueling their bewilderment once again.

“So…you’re telling me…that you’re from a kingdom…that was destroyed? How could you have survived there, in a forgotten piece of land? There’s nothing there! Well, apart from the castle and all that, but no one goes there! They say it’s far too dangerous! How did you survive, live? Is what they say, what we have learnt all a lie?” Chae-won is crazy at that moment, looking possessed and hair messed up after running her shaky hands through it many times.

“Hey, c’mon, how could people have magical powers? No one in our era does. So, that black hole thing must be fake. And plus, it was a legend to begin with.” Eun-chae reasoned.

“Hey, it was only 300 years ago!” 

“Dumbass, that’s three centuries, enough time has passed for us to change. Like, we don’t even have a royal family! You’ve got the mind of a child right now, and that’s kinda embarrassing since you’re the oldest.” That was all for Chae-won to start acting like her age and social rank.

“Tsk, think you’re so smart, eh?” But young Eun-chae didn’t hear that.

 “Oh right, I’m also 16. Chae-won’s a Junior though, 17. All of us take night classes as well! But we’re all starting tomorrow.”

Chae-won tilts her head, “Is there anything wrong, Isabelle?” She asks, seeing the way you look zoned-out. 

“O-Oh, no, it’s just…what do you guys do? Are you really famous, really rich?” 

“Eh, since we’re quite a topic, we’ll leave that for whoever wants to show their knowledge about people like us with you.” Chae-won replies, plopping on her bed, which was on the other side.

“Have you done the tour yet? If so, who did it? I presume the Headmaster would’ve given it to someone highly respected and responsible.” Eun-chae asks, starting to change into her pyjamas. Thankfully, that question was easy to ask. 

“Oh, Heli toured me. He even helped me in the nurse’s office with my leg.” You stick out your right leg, “In fact, he’s brought me to the places I wanted to go to, even here. I didn’t want the tour-”

“Hang on, Heli toured you?” Chae-won emphasises on his name. 

“Uh, yeah,” You laugh it off, “he did. He helped a lot.”

Eun-chae, who was busy doing her skincare stopped to look at you, “Isabelle, I know you’re new so I’ll tell you this now: Heli’s Chae-won’s crush.”

“Cut it out, Chae.” Eun-chae commands, “You’re scaring her for something that wasn’t her fault.” She brushes her silky hair, almost ready for bed, “And, to be honest, do you really think you have a chance? At this point, you’re just being delusional, even just a glance from him makes you think he likes you.” She states, brutally slapping the truth into Chae-won’s mind. It hurt her, for she does understand how pathetic it was for falling for someone who probably doesn’t acknowledge her existence, but she just couldn’t help but love someone, especially since he was perfect. “But, let’s save that for another day. Both of you should change, busy day tomorrow. Isn’t that right, Isabelle?” 

“Yeah, first timer, new student, it’ll be busy.” You say, heading over to your massive built-in closet, fetching your navy pyjamas. 

“Eun-chae, you make me feel so irresponsible.” She pouts, also preparing for bed too.

“Well, you are-”

Chae-won spins around, “I DIDN’T ASK FOR YOUR OPINION.”

A lovely morning it was, and many first times you’ve experienced. A first time to wake up in snug clothes, on a comfy bed, in a place where you felt safe and secure, with the sun blooming on the horizon, and a peaceful quiet that made you feel relaxed. It was different, a contrast from your previous life, but let’s forget about that. Focus on the present, for you cannot change what had happened in the past.

You look around for a clock, seeing how the girls are asleep, and how vivid the orange rays are. Squinting in the lightly lit room, you see one on Chae-won’s desk, displaying ‘05:30’.

After many attempts at falling into a deep slumber, you lost your consciousness, lying in your bed once again for goodness knows how many hours. 

“Is she sick?” Chae-won asks, wondering how long you’ve blacked out for. It was nearly 2pm, meaning you’ve skipped breakfast, and possibly lunch if you don’t wake and change.

“I dunno, we should wake her up instead. I mean, it’s getting late to grab food right now.” 

The pair shake you gently at first, not wanting to be too aggressive on you. However, after a few minutes of no response from such a gentle touch, they decided to act like children, jumping up and down on your bed. 

“Wake up, it’s almost class time, wake up!”

You groan, feeling too energetic from that lengthy snooze. Though feeling refreshed, you couldn’t help but groan and stretch, yawning from a good sleep. “What time is it?”

“14:07, hurry up! Lunch has already started.” Chae-won replies, walking over to her bed to prepare her necessities. “We’ll only give you 20 minutes!” 

Hearing that, you sprinted out of your bed, grabbing the prepared uniform that was hanging in the closet before heading on over to the pristine toilet. 

“One more minute!” Chae-won warns, banging on the toilet door to gain your attention. Lucky for you, you were only making sure you looked nicely put together, opening the door to present to them a fresh look of yourself. You assumed you did a great job, for the two attractive women themselves clapped their hands, Chae-won adding a ‘Daebak!’ in her applause. 

But boy, did you expect these many people to be eyeing your way. Some of the boys gave whistles in your direction, and the girls muttered their judgments under their breath or hiding what they had to say with their hands. Either way, you felt pressured and nervous, for you knew many of these people were from well-off families. While walking in the Decelis Square, you gather almost the whole school’s attention when Heli and his friends go to you.

“OH.MY.GOSH. EUN-CHAE, DO YOU SEE THIS?” She shakes Eun-chae vigorously, “HE’S COMING THIS WAY.” 

She thought that maybe, for once, he’ll actually talk to her. She squirmed internally, waiting for those romantic moments to play, until,

“Hey, Isabelle.” Heli waves, a charming smile effortlessly forming on his face. This creates an audible chatter about the two, people already forming opinions about you. Not only that, it insanely pissed Chae-won off, for she Heli for herself, to experience everything with him. You took that away, and she mentally cursed you for it. Of course, to keep her delusions going and to not lose her sanity in front of the crowd, she puts on her people pleasing mask.

“Isabelle, I didn’t know you and Heli were so close! I’m so happy you’ve made a friend.” 

You knew that it was fake, that she was just putting on an act. It intimidated you, and the wild imaginations of what could happen once the two of you meet in the dorms again scared you. Curiously, Heli took a look into your thoughts, for he felt suspicious as to why you looked so stiff. He knew it was wrong of him to do that, yet he couldn’t help but worry about you. 

“Come on, Isabelle, let’s go eat.” Heli ignores Chae-won, only seeing her as a student of Decelis he and the rest need to protect. 

Leading you out of the Decelis Square, Heli and his friends, that you have yet to know the names of, accompany you to the cafeteria. You still felt pressured, yes, but being with these people made you loosen up a bit, that feeling of prying eyes getting weaker by the minutes, except for one pair. One of the boys behind you, a tall frame with blue hair that grew past his shoulders, eyes blue and amber stared at your figure intensely. Something was bothering him, so bad yet he just didn’t know what. What are you doing to him, why is he feeling this way. This should be the first time you two met for he had, at that moment, no recollection of you. His heart says otherwise, for he feels drawn to you, as if he’s fallen for you. He was different from his friends in something, which he would never tell to anyone, for he was scared at the thought of his friends thinking of him as an enemy. What he partially was was an old foe to what his brothers were. He didn’t want to be like those animals, he wanted to, and will, stay on his friends’ side. But, since being half and half, the boy had the fate of having a mate as part of the wolf pack. That being said, with the strong foreign emotion he was feeling, could he have possibly found his mate? 

Mate. He finally remembered. When he was a child, he had felt this very way towards a girl. 

He had found his mate long ago, yet she disappeared, no trace of her to exist. There’s no way you would be her, right?

this goddamn blondeman has inhabited too much of my mind for far too long (Otto is my favorite HI3 character) My ramble under the cut. This will probably not read well, forgive me.

I hear a ton of people saying that he's far too mysterious and we don't know much about him, but his character story + a relic set and a cosmodyssey event give us quite a bit of detail on him. First up, character story links to his homeworld.

Terminology used in the Knights of Purity Palace relic set lore is the exact same, with devils and the church. His second eidolon is called Bestowal From The Pure (Bestowal From the Purity Palace in Chinese) directly links him as a former member. And in Cosmodyssey, he even makes an outfit inspired by the Church.

This is more concrete information to preface my speculation that he was part of the higher ups of the Church. His position as Archbishop of Shicksal in HI3 supports this speculation and I personally believe him to be the Archbishop given that he heals with the raw power of Catholicism. Deadass just throws out his holy symbol and heals like 3k.

And on the topic of his healing, it stems from the Abundance itself. Purity Palace was given power from beyond their skies that allowed them to hunt devils but ate away at human rationality, eventually causing them to go mad. Jing Yuan even calls him an Abomination of Yaoshi compared to the Xianzhou generally referring to Abundance blessed as Abominations of Abundance. His healing could even heal puppets (healed Xueyi in 1.0 story, which even had Dan Heng react directly to such a blatant display of Abundance power), possibly an Emanator of Abundance. The thing that can also allude to his status as an Emanator is Jing Yuan's remark of only an Emanator could conceal a Stellaron and slip aboard the Luofu undetected, and Luocha directly confessed to bringing it aboard.

Finally, his true name. Luocha is only the name he is registered to merchant guilds and the IPC with. During Jingliu's companion quest, Jing Yuan offhandedly mentions a tongue twister of a name.

In HI3, Li Sushang found Otto Apocalypse to be too hard to say, and decided to call him Raksha (CN Translation from Sanskrit is Luocha).

So yeah.

So, I watched the ovas, then read the manga and recently read the newly released version of the manga (I haven't read the doujinshis yet, maybe you can tell me if it was a mistake or not.) I'm torn regarding Taki and Klaus' relationship.

Do they have this game where Taki enjoys resisting, lusting over him and also along the same lines con non-con and obsession with Klaus and vice versa? The whole purity thing comes into play because of his status therefore having sex with Klaus defeats the purpose of it, yet Taki keeps doing it because is the only way the can be together now and in the aforementioned question? Also, Taki is shown to be very capable of defending himself (but with help? Like a mop, sword) The first few times Taki anf Klaus are seen to be intimate with each other, Taki had the choice to forbid Klaus to come near him but he doesn't and when Klaus takes Taki to his cabin it's explained how did they get there without nobody seeing them and in the manga of that scene Taki does say he can do whatever he wants in challenging way though he underestimates how serious Klaus takes it? Until Taki cries for Klaus to stop later on.

It would make sense for each of them to care for one another hence there are parts where Taki is shown to be concerned by Klaus' well-being, overall existence and tries very hard not to worry him despite what went down earlier and who's around them. Keeping his own bruised up and sore body a secret between him and his doctor.

Also, Klaus' hunger and demand for Taki's body and attention, ultimate time together, Klaus' disposition and usefulness and protection as a knight regardless the conditions. Klaus doesn't want to worry Taki either therefore he keeps popping pills but his new and old injuries never heal. Jumping from that point, I read somewhere in your blog I believe, that you mentioned that Klaus assaulted Taki because he was delirious; for context it was after Klaus was in the frontlines with the kid cadet. Did you mean because of those untreated injuries? Wouldn't that be too soon? And it doesn't start as an assault but it does end up like that. Taki asks for forgiveness for not fulfilling the promise or for not being properly together now? Taki later defends him from being tortured, let everybody know if Klaus did anything to offend him, he will take care of it himself and takes him away to his room. So, Taki says that he forgives him. Because maybe in his own way maybe he thought Klaus had no other choice? He thought he deserved it?

Later in the manga happens something similar where Klaus says his hunger for Taki is also filthy (Taki' status, Klaus' position, and their relationship?) and Taki slaps him, for a few panels more basically promising he wouldn't touch him again (and it's almost visible Taki' disappointment)Taki also makes sure that Klaus knows he belongs to him and he won't tolerate such behavior or disrespect (also referring to what happened earlier) But it doesn't last, I think chapters later, Klaus follows him into the showers, Taki tries to stop him but he retreats when he touches Klaus wounds then Klaus ties him up and feels him up and gives him chances for him to speak up (as Klaus has done in the past) and stop him, when Taki doesn't, he continues until Taki says 'no' and 'stop' but Klaus doesn't listen (he sees how turned on Taki is, as he had previously been but then again, the body reacts in one way but the mind/mouth does differently) Until he sees Taki's bruised body, a reminder of what he did to him, from when they were at his cabin, Taki's assault.

Maybe I answered my own question here but I also wanted to add it.

It's also curious that only then the bruises on his torso are visible but it might have been overlooked during editing and the timeline is confusing too (the manga jumps from toddler Taki, pubescent Taki, Academy Taki (18-19) to 20 year-old Taki)

Because that's how I interpreted it. Perhaps I missed something and trust me I really want to understand. If it's that way, I completely get it. I enjoy that kind of sexual chemistry/games/kinks (that can also go hand in hand with complex dynamics) in my personal life but if it's on a form of media, particularly queer media, I really would like clarification.

Then it also confirms my theory the fact that Taki goes to see Klaus, sees him tied up, banded up and unconscious, his doctor warns him not to untie him because he would be delirious and Klaus insisted it on Taki not see him for his own safety. Taki not only unties Klaus on his own free will but it seems to lock the door of the room and lays next to him fully knowing what could happen and when it does, he never shows any kind of distress, until it seems to be too much to handle and knows the doctor is outside but stops himself when Klaus asks him why. Why did he come? Why did he untie him? Then Taki fully lets go.

Later he sees all the blood and infection coming from Klaus injuries and of course he is worried and pissed because he never told him the truth and he is also mad at himself for never speaking up when he needed it. Alluding at the fact it wasn't about sex.

Can you see why I'm kinda all over the place?

So, first of all thank you for the ask! I can safely say it's the longest one I've ever had, and I don't know if I'm qualified to answer it🤣

I think a lot of your questions are entirely down to the interpretation of the reader, so any answers I give would be my personal opinion and general consensus reached in discussion with other fans.

First, I would say that the doujinshi are pretty much essential reading if you want a balanced view of their relationship. Because a lot of the doujin are stories of the two of them growing closer at Luckenwalde in a very sweet, natural and mutually respectful way. The development of their relationship that we see in the doujinshi serves two purposes: it makes their current dynamic even more painful to witness (because we know what a good relationship they're capable of having when they're outside the pressures of Taki's country), and I think precludes any idea that Taki might get pleasure in resisting. I don't think Taki gets anything from resisting but pain from guilt and remorse (because of what the two of them once were together, and because he feels he didn't try hard enough to explain what would be expected of Klaus once he became his knight). I don't think any of it is a game to Taki (although it might be a bit of a bitter and resentful game to Klaus sometimes).

As you said, Taki can defend himself perfectly well. I think maybe he doesn't because 1) Klaus is almost always injured when he attacks Taki, and Taki can't bear to hurt him, and 2) perhaps he subconsciously wants to send a message that he doesn't truly hate Klaus (just hates the circumstances that have brought them to this point). And yeah, to some extent I do think he thinks he deserves it. As Klaus comes to realise in the latest chapters chronologically, Taki is completely bound up with the idea of "sacrifice".

Klaus also feels huge amounts of guilt and remorse for what he does; problem is, it doesn't stop him doing it!

I don't have the bandwidth to answer all your questions about Klaus' mindset, but you asked:

That is the assault we see in the more recent chapters (new Vols. 3 and 4), when Klaus has a very bad infection after being exploded in no man's land, and is also in serious withdrawal from morphine. The time he rapes Taki after the rescuing-the-cadet and getting injured in the arm (Vol.1), he wasn't delirious. He knew exactly what he was doing. Also, the bruises on Taki's body are from that more recent assault, not from the attack in the cabin. If you want a super simple timeline of these events, it goes like:

Klaus rescues cadet, gets injured in the arm

Takes Taki back to his cabin and assaults him

Takes Taki to Suguri for treatment, Suguri realises what's been happening

Klaus almost gets killed by Hasebe for being a "spy", injured arm is ripped up even more by his torture

Klaus is recovering with Taki looking after him when they get the news about the Eurotean train

Klaus and Azusa go to no man's land, Klaus is taking morphine to cope with the pain

Klaus gets blown up and drowned, which causes a bad infection

Klaus is being treated by Suguri and says he wants to give up the morphine because he knows he's reaching his limit (because Klaus has a history of drug addiction as well as Taki addiction)

Taki visits the hospital after his various other duties, sees Klaus' condition and orders Suguri to leave them

Suguri ignores Klaus' wish to keep Taki away because he can't say no to Taki, but injects Klaus with one more dose (this was a big mistake!)

Klaus does indeed reach his limit and attacks Taki while delirious

Suguri obviously realises what happened, and Taki tells him not to say anything to Klaus

A few days later (while Taki is still bruised), the Western Alliance attacks and they go out to intercept them

Klaus notices Taki has an injury on his wrist, follows him to the shower stalls, and forcibly strips him

By the way don't try to figure out the chronology all in one go, you'd have to read the manga and doujins multiple times over to get it, cos she is deliberately all over the place🤣. It does actually all make sense, it just feels like it doesn't unless you reread. (One of the fans might have made a full timeline, though! I'll give you the Discord link and you can ask. The Discord is essential to me, haha.)

"Taki not only unties Klaus on his own free will but it seems to lock the door of the room and lays next to him fully knowing what could happen and when it does, he never shows any kind of distress, until it seems to be too much to handle and knows the doctor is outside but stops himself when Klaus asks him why. Why did he come? Why did he untie him?"

This is a very major point in the development of both Taki and Suguri (his doctor). I believe Taki came because he simply couldn't help himself. He loves Klaus and feels a huge amount of responsibility and guilt for the state Klaus has ended up in. Seeing him was both his wish and (what he perceives as) his duty as Klaus' master. Untying him was a foolish, emotional act, and then he refuses to call Suguri because he knows Klaus would be killed if he made a public scene about being attacked.

From this episode, in the (chronologically) following chapters we finally see Taki break down, then get his ass together and vow to actually do something to protect Klaus (we don't really know what he's planning to sacrifice yet, though). I think that's why Taki wouldn't tell Klaus what he had done while he was delirious: he was trying to protect Klaus from that knowledge.

From this episode, Suguri learns that obeying his master (as he has Taki's entire life) might not actually be what's best for Taki, because Taki can't be trusted to act in his own best interests. That's why in new Ch10 (it hasn't been published in a volume yet), Klaus rants at Suguri about Taki acting as a sacrifice for everybody, and says that if things get worse he'll take Taki far away from all of them. Then Suguri orders Klaus to do just that and keep him alive at all costs, even if Taki doesn't want him to, because he now knows Taki won't be able to take the steps to save his own life.

So in conclusion, I don't think the current dynamic these two have is really mean to be enjoyed as non-con kink (although obviously it can be!). I think it's meant to be shown as aesthetically beautiful (cos everything she draws is) but painful and bitter, to be contrasted with their past relationship in Luckenwalde (although this becomes much clearer when you read the doujinshi, including the nekomimi ones set in Luckenwalde). And as readers we're hoping like hell that they can get back to that loving and respectful relationship someday!
