because im impatient heres some headcanons to tide us over ^^

klav and simon in bed separately are already..so fucking hot. but together? it’s almost painful how sexy they are

Unimportant Rant

Seeing people say fics can't be tagged as both gen & ship, as well as "x/y" & "x&y" is sofa king ridiculous.

Not all fics featuring a relationship are ABOUT the ship itself. I've written a number of fics where the POV character is in a relationship but the plot of the fic DOES NOT center around it. It might focus on, say, their platonic friendship with another character, or personal issues such as grief or self-esteem. I'm still going to tag it as "m/f, f/f, m/m" as well as the ship itself because, especially if it's an uncommom pair/character, a reader may be interested. Right now I'm working on a fic where the pov character was in a past relationship and the focus is going to be almost 20k of him dealing with his grief over losing his wife, but nothing that happens DURING the fic is shippy (unless you want it to be), so I have it tagged as both gen and M/F.

A fic might focus primarily on the friendship before the characters get together, or the fic might be ambiguous enough to appease someone who ship the characters romantically as well as those who prefer them platonically. I know my long Klavquill fic is tagged this way because the fic IS about Simon and Klavier's developing friendship, and Klavier internally feels a bit of attraction to Simon thats in line with his character (to develop a crush rather quickly) but the fic doesn't feature any romantic moments between them - its all, quite minimal, in Klavier's head. But with it being a rarepair, I know that its long and substantial enough to please a Klavquill shipper despite nothing being explicitly shippy.

So basically, people need to chill and understand that, from fandom to fandom, the amount of content for various ships/characters is different. Sometimes the multiple tags are necessary depending on the nature of the fic and theres no black and white "this is the proper way to tag" in SOME cases.
