hi can you make a human AU for yandere klaus mikaelson where he is a businessman and he is the boss of his own company and he has a new assistant *y/n* and he obviously falls in love with her and finds any excuse to stay with her and one day they stay late at the office just the two of them and klaus manages to seduce her enough to fuck her hard against his desk and claim her as his own.

(There’s hints of Yandere!Klaus in this but it’s not too bad, he’s more Yandere in the sense that the boss is ‘taking advantage’ of his employee)

It was strange to you how close he got at first, Klaus was constantly keeping you after hours, paying you overtime to help with the smallest things. He would be close as often as he could, touch you as often as he could and stare at you through his office window whenever he got the chance.
Honestly you feel like you should have reported him to Human Resources by now but…you love it.
Your boss was definitely attractive, and for some reason he wanted to constantly be around you. You didn’t really have a problem with it, doing your job and taking care of whatever he needed from you. Sometimes you just ended up having dinner with him in his office while you went over paperwork that could have easily waited until the next day.
Klaus seemed like he was trying to see just how far he could get. You knew the little touches were inappropriate, his hand lingering on the small of your back, wrapping around your waist, tucking your hair behind your ear, but he was so sweet and charming you couldn’t find it in yourself to complain. Klaus was hot, no denying that, but you never thought it went beyond a little teasing, you never thought he was as in love with you as he is. By the time you realized how serious it was it was too late.
‘Here are the reports you asked for Mr. Mikaelson. If that’s everything you need then I will head out for the day.’ You turned to walk back to your desk when his voice stopped you.
‘Y/n, I actually have something else to get done. Would you mind terribly staying and helping me? I’ll buy you dinner?’ He offered and you couldn’t refuse that sweet, hopeful face.
‘Fine, but I want Chinese.’ You teased and he just smiled.
Once again you stay with him finishing up paper work that didn’t need to be done yet, some of which never should have been anywhere near his desk, but you didn’t complain. You two worked and talked until almost 9pm when you began cleaning up for the evening and he seemed to suddenly realize how late it was. ‘Thank you for this Y/n, I appreciate how willing you are to help me. Most assistants I’ve had would never consider overtime…I also genuinely enjoy spending time with you.’ He admitted and you felt your cheeks heating up.
‘Well thank you Mr. Mikaelson. I’m glad that I can help, besides, overtime just means I can pay my bills faster.’ You joked, picking up the last files and moving to put them away in the file cabinet.
‘Are you having trouble? I can help you if you need-‘ you were stunned by his immediate upset at the idea of your money problems.
‘Oh no, I’m fine. It was a joke, really. I mean everyone has money problems, student loans, the normal stuff, no big deal.’ You brushed the subject off as quickly as you could before filing the last few folders. ‘Everything is finished, and legal should be able to find it all tomor-Oh!’ You gasped as you turned to find your boss directly behind you, jumping back into the filing cabinet in surprise.
‘Are you alright? I didn’t mean to frighten you.’ He spoke, reaching out to make sure you hadn’t hurt your head.
‘I’m fine…’ you mumbled quietly, trying to find a way around him but not seeing one and instantly hating your body for betraying you as you felt your nipples harden as his hands touched you, running down your arms and looking you over.
‘You’re perfection…you know Y/n, I’ve really become attached to you these last 2 weeks you’ve been here. I believe you deserve everything the world has to offer you, and I want to be the one to give it to you.’ His hand tucked your hair behind your ear and you were stood, frozen and in shock.
‘Mr. Mikaelson, I think this is becoming inappropriate and I don’t-‘
‘Come on Love. You know that I’m sweet on you, there’s no way you don’t. You’ve been enjoying our time together, I know you like the flirting and the little touches…well I love how you try to hide that sweet blush every time I compliment you.’ His thumb brushed down your cheek and you could feel how hot it was as your body continued disobeying you.
‘Please stop? I-I can’t-‘
‘Can’t what?’
‘Can’t lose my job for this-please stop?’ Tears sprung to your eyes as you tried to push passed him but his arm wound around your waist, and he quickly lifted you to sit on his desk.
‘You won’t be losing your job gorgeous, I like having you here. I want you to be mine, and if that’s what I want then who is going to object with me?’ You were stunned by that, he wanted you to keep working for him even after fucking you?
‘If people find out-‘
‘Let them. What are they going to say? I fell in love with my assistant and now we’re together? Now she’s mine? I enjoy the idea of working with you all day and holding you all night, don’t you?’ I looked up at him in shock, disbelief at the idea that he could be in love with me. ‘Oh Love, you didn’t think once was going to be enough for us, did you? We’ll have barely gotten started.’ The smirk on his face was dark and would have been scary if you didn’t already love him yourself. You had seen his dark side, the angry parts of him that come out in meetings with certain people, and you had seen who the only person to calm him down afterwards was.
You
‘You’re already dripping for me, aren’t you?’ He questioned as he pulled your ass to the edge of the desk and began pushing your skirt up your thighs. ‘I know you are, I know how badly this sweet little cunt needs me.’ You gasped suddenly, his forehead resting against yours now as you felt his hand grazing the inside of your thighs before his fingertips brushed against your panties. His other hand moved and suddenly he had ripped your panties in half, roughly shoving 2 fingers into you and swallowing your cry in a needy kiss. Your hands quickly moved to fumble with his belt, yanking it open and wrapping your fingers around his cock, stunned at just how thick it is. ‘I’m going to stretch you so good you’ll never want another cock again.’ His mouth devoured yours in his desperate kisses, hands now yanking his boxer briefs down and pressing the head of his thick cock to your dripping hole. ‘See how desperate she is for me? Sweet little hole is leaking all over my desk, I can’t imagine how wet your panties are when you go home every night-‘ you gasped loudly as he shoved himself into you completely, holding your waist tightly to keep your body flush against his. ‘So tight!’ He grunted, pulling back and shoving himself into you again, setting a slow pace and grunting against your neck as your arms wrapped tighter around his neck, fingers buried in his hair to hold yourself close to him.
‘Please sir-‘
‘Call me my name, love! Only my name from now on!’ He demanded, thrusting particularly hard.
‘Niklaus! Faster-Please?!’ You begged and he growled, pushing you down onto his desk, climbing on top of you and thrusting his hips faster now. You lifted your legs and wrapped them around his waist as he continued his desperate pace.
‘Do you know-fuck-how many times I’ve thought about fucking you over this desk?!’ You shook your head, tears springing to your eyes as you barreled towards your end. ‘Gonna bend you over it tomorrow, clearly gonna have to shove something in this needy little mouth with how loud you are. Fuck! Cum. Cum on my cock gorgeous, let me feel this tight little cunt squeezing me!’
‘Oh God Niklaus!’ You cried, your pussy constricting around him as you came, faster than you believe any man has made you before and dropping your head to the table, waiting for him to finish as well but he didn’t.
‘You look so fucking beautiful cumming for me, I need to show the world that perfect face.’ He pulled his still hard cock from you, watching with a dark smirk as your pussy dripped on his oak desk before he hooked his hands under your thighs and lifted you up, spinning you so your back was against his chest and moving to pin your body to the window surrounding his corner office. The cold window hardened your nipples even more as he forced you to look out over all the other skyscrapers. ‘Isn’t it beautiful?’ He asked, lips barely touching your ear and you could do nothing but whine. ‘This is just the first of the wonderful views I plan to give you while I fuck you senseless, the next will be time square in New York on the business trip next week.’ As he shoved his cock back inside of you, your hands pressed to the glass, pushing you back against him, your boss now slamming his cock into you like a desperate animal. ‘All mine now Baby, all fucking mine! Not gonna stop until I fill this body with my babies, God, imagine how beautiful you’ll be! Tell me your mine!’
‘Y-yours!’
‘Say It!’
‘I’m Yours! All yours Niklaus! Please fill me up, please?!’ You pleaded, your second orgasm ripping through you almost painfully and squeezing him hard.
‘Oh Fuck! Perfect, Tight, Little Cunt! Fuck!’ His teeth sunk into your shoulder as he came, filling you with everything he had before kissing the side of your face.
He pulled out and set you down in his desk chair, turning away and leaving you feeling exposed. Just as you were about to get up and search for your clothes he turned back, eyes warning you against moving before he knelt down in front of you and used wet wipes from his desk to clean you up. ‘You don’t have to do that, I can-‘
‘Don’t question me taking care of you Y/n, I meant what I said…you’re mine now.’ His voice was like a warning as he cleaned you off and helped you dress before cleaning and dressing himself which was extremely sweet.
You slept in his bed later that night, snuggled into your boss’ naked chest and content on the insanely comfortable mattress for the night. You were suddenly looking forward to the business trip to New York that much more…

After practice, I headed straight to my shift at the hospital - an internship I got thanks to Ms McCall.
I was eternally grateful. Not because I had an affinity for medical care, but because a girl needs to eat. And nowadays I would rather suck my blood from a bag rather than a jugular; morality and all that.
The boys shot me a text saying that they were going to pick me up when I was done so we could continue last night’s target of finding the body, or at least just Scott’s inhaler - collateral damage.
I easily spotted Stiles’ Jeep, skipping over to hop in after watching Stiles kick Scott into the backseat.
“Man, that’s so unfair! Why does she always get to ride shotgun?” Scott protested, now sulking in behind us.
When I got in Stiles put his hand on the headrest of my seat to turn back to Scott, “Because it’s her seat.”
I stayed silent, my satisfied smile spoke for me.
My seat. It truly was. I was in this passenger seat more than anyone else so we dubbed it so. It was such a known rule that Stiles had even started to enforce it.
As we drove, Scott noticed me keeping my bag securely on my lap, rather than chucking it to him.
“What’s in the bag?” he pointed to my heavy-looking, extremely full bag.
‘Dinner,’ I wanted to say. But I didn’t. “Oh, just homework,”
Then Stiles looked over too, “God, your teachers must hate you.”
~
“I don’t know what it was.”
Me and Stiles wanted to go over Scott’s sudden, unnatural aptitude for lacrosse.
“It’s like… I had all the time in the world to catch the ball.” It seemed as if it didn’t make sense to him either.
“And that’s not the only weird thing…” his tone almost sounded worried, meanwhile Stiles was just intrigued. “I can hear stuff I shouldn’t be able to hear… smell things.”
“Smell things? Like what,” I inquired with a short laugh - I was trying to make light of the situation, but the more he spoke the less funny it became. Maybe it was all just placebo after thinking he got bit by a wolf, that’s what I’d go with.
Scott sniffed the air, “Like the mint mojito gum in Stiles’ pocket.”
Stiles scoffed, reaching down to prove him wrong, “I don’t have any mint mo-” and there it was. The half-wrapped stick of gum lay on his palm.
“Ew,” I muttered, trying to divert my feeling of unease.
“I’m scared that I’ve got some kind of infection from the bite or something,” Scott rambled like he was scared he was dying, although he seemed far from it, “like, what if my body is just flooding itself with adrenaline before I go into shock!”
Noticing the smirk grow on Stiles’ face as I waited for his witty remark.
“You know what, I actually think I’ve heard of this,” he stated as if he was suddenly a biology expert. Scott looked over with hope.
“It’s a specific type of infection,” his hand on his hips as he stopped in his tracks, feigning seriousness.
“Are you serious?” Scott questioned, knowing it was probably one of his jokes, but he was too desperate to care.
“Yeah,” Stiles nodded and I rolled my eyes, obliging him since I was curious about where this was going. “It’s called… lycanthropy,” he stated solemnly.
I fought the urge to sigh, or even laugh, but I waited for Scott’s reaction first. Seems like we were on the same wavelength here… except my concerns were a little more real.
“What’s that?” Scott asked, his tone building in worry, “Is that bad?”
“Oh yeah,” Stiles agreed quickly, shaking his head, “the worst.”
Scott got just a little more pale as Stiles carried on. “But, only once a month.”
“Once a month?”
“Mhm,” I stepped in, donning the same earnest expression as the boy to my left, “on the night of the full moon.” I felt Stiles’ eyes travel to me and out of the corner of mine I caught his smirk, a silent communication as to what we would do next.
We turned back to Scott and howled in sync, I put my hands around my mouth to amplify the dramatics before we both burst out laughing at Scott’s unimpressed look, him moving forward to push us.
“Not funny, guys, there could be something seriously wrong with me!” Scott stomped on the dry leaves and we continued walking.
“I know! You’re a werewolf!” Stiles put his hands up and growled like a monster.
Again, Scott’s only reply was a glare. “Okay, obviously I’m kidding.”
“I’m not,” I mumbled softly toward the ground, but they both turned around and questioned if I said something.
“What?”
“Nothing,” I looked up and shook my head innocently.
“Look,” Stiles always tried to lighten the mood, “just saying, if you see me in shop class trying to melt all the silver it’s ‘cause Friday’s a full moon,” he ran with the joke, reaching back to tap me on the arm to ask if I heard that one. I didn’t want to laugh, but he was just too good.
Scott just ignored us - he had learned that was best sometimes - instead, mentally scanning the ground. “I- I could’ve sworn this was it.” he squatted down to examine what wasn’t there further. “I saw the body, the deer came running, I dropped my inhaler.” He started to root around in the leaves, retracing his steps.
“The killer might’ve moved the body?” I speculated, because he was right, it was gone, I couldn’t even smell blood anymore.
“Well if he did I hope he left my inhaler, those things are like 80 bucks,” he grumbled saltily.
Over the noise of our banter I must’ve missed the sound of footsteps because, in a moment of silence, I picked up another heartbeat, turning to the side to see a tall man dressed in all black staring ominously in our direction. My arm outstretched to hit Stiles and my leg to kick Scott, but before they could complain, they saw him.
Scott shot to his feet as the man started to walk over.
“What are you doing here?” his voice boomed as he approached, clearly scaring the two boys on my either side as I heard their heart rates pick up and Stiles’ hands fidgeted frantically.
We obviously didn’t answer quickly enough because he spoke again, “Huh?”
I waited for Scott or Stiles to reply first, but they were frozen, I sighed.
“This is private property,” the man warned, the dark tone in his voice unsettling.
Then I smelt it… Wolf.
I stepped up, putting on my best, well-practiced innocent face, and looked up at him. “Oh! We’re sorry, we had no idea. We were just looking for something my friend lost,” my wide eyes sparkled, but he didn’t seem to fall for it, instead, his eyes lingered threateningly on me for a few seconds longer than they did on the boys.
A moment of eerie silence came over us before he swiftly took something out of his pocket and threw it into Scott’s hands. His inhaler. Then, without another word, the man walked away, but not before giving me another creepy death stare.
When he was a few paces away and the boys were still a little too shaken to talk, I broke the tension and chuckled. “Well, he was creepy,”
If my suspicions were right, I knew he heard that.
Stiles spun on his heel to face us his hands jumping up and he looked at Scott as if he was stupid for not reading his mind. “Dude!” he took a step closer so he could talk quietly, “That was Derek Hale! You remember right? He’s only like a few years older than us.”
“His family all burned to death in a fire like 10 years ago,” he continued, but I wasn’t listening. I checked out the moment he said ‘Derek Hale.’
So I was right.
The Hales were a notorious werewolf pack down here on the West Coast, but I had no idea they were still around! I had also heard that they were a different type of wolf… stronger, as they were not bound by only turning on a full moon. But I didn’t exactly know how ‘different’ they really were.
And if that was true about the Hales… then I was correct about Scott.
~
I stayed up the whole night thinking.
Was I a bad friend for not telling them what I already knew? For making them figure this out for themselves while I could easily explain? Yes.
Was it selfish of me to keep such a big part of my life from them when they were the two most important people in my life? Also yes.
But all of this was for their own good. At least that’s what I kept telling myself to distract from the constantly looming cloud of guilt that hung over my head.
Matters only got worse when Stiles messaged me in a panic. A confirmation. They found animal hairs on the body. More precisely, wolf hairs.
~
The next day I got into school considerably late and very sleep-deprived - because despite what the fairy tales say, vampires still need their beauty sleep.
I was practically dozing off in third-period Chem without Stiles there to keep me awake since the team had a mandatory practice before the big game this week, so I excused myself to go to the bathroom and wander around the halls.
“Now listen, McCall. You’re gonna tell me exactly what it is and who you’re getting it from because there is no way you’re out there kicking ass on the field like that without some sort of chemical boost.”
I stopped my stroll around the halls at the sound of a familiar voice from around the corner.
“Oh, you mean steroids! Are you on steroids?”
Then Scott.
I poked my head out around the corner - Jackson had definitely noticed something was up and Scott wasn’t doing a very good job at keeping it a secret. This wasn’t good.
Crash. “What’s going on with you McCall!”
“You really wanna know?”
Uh oh.
“Well so would I! I can see hear and smell things that I shouldn’t be able to see hear and smell! And I-”
“Woah woah woah,” I ran over, replacing Jackson’s hand on Scott’s shirt with mine and pushing Jackson away, standing in between them.
Jackson looked furious, if he were in a cartoon smoke would be coming out of his ears. I stared him down.
He scoffed and took a step back, “You need your little friend to come rescue you?”
I quickly shushed Scott before he made the situation worse.
“Goodbye, Jackson,” I gave him a fake smile and waited for him to leave.
When he kept his eyes on us as he walked away. “I’m onto McCall. I’m gonna find out what it is you’re taking and I don’t care how long it takes.”
Once he had turned the corner I focused my attention back on Scott.
“Thanks, Ser-”
My hand took hold of his collar once more and did the same move Jackson had just done, another crash as he hit the lockers, his eyes wide and confused. “What were you thinking!”
“What do you mean!” he was incredibly confused.
I sighed, realising he doesn’t know what’s going on at all, so I let go. “You can’t just go around telling Jackson Whittemore this stuff! I know you’re scared but he is the last person you should trust.”
The way his expression dropped told me he knew I was right. But our little interaction was cut short by Coach screaming that their break was over.
“Listen,” Scott started as he stepped back towards the door of the locker room, “I’ll see you later at the game.”
“The game? I thought Stiles told you-” but he left before I could finish my sentence.
~
“Stiles!” I hurried over to where he sat on the bench, his leg bouncing frantically as he chewed on his bitten fingernails.
His head flicked in my direction, a look of relief on his face, “Sera! I haven’t seen you all day,” he stood up quickly and put his hands on my shoulders to make sure I was really there.
“I came in late,” I brushed it off.
“Have you talked to Scott?”
His head shook vigorously, “He wouldn’t listen. I’m waiting for him to come out so I can try again.”
Just as he said that I saw Scott walking out onto the field and we both approached him, trying to stop from going out onto the field.
“Scott!” Stiles shouted, his voice breaking as he practically bashed the helmet out of his hands.
“Look! I’m playing the first elimination guys, can it wait?” Scott threw his hands up in annoyance, completely ignoring our desperation.
“Man, just listen!” I put my hands on Scott to physically bring his attention to us.
Stiles spoke and he spoke fast. “I overheard my dad on the phone. The fiber analysis on the body came back from the lab in L.A. and they found animal hairs on the body from the woods!”
But Scott was already leaving. We chased after him, no longer bothering to keep our voices hushed.
“Wait! Just hold on!” I reached to grab his sleeve but he was too far, “You’re not gonna believe what the animal was!” Still, he didn’t look back.
Then it was just me and Stiles again. Scott was long gone, but I still finished my sentence, quietly as if only to myself, “It was a wolf.”
For the entirety of the game I could not tear myself away from Stiles on the bench, I simply sat down on my haunches beside him. The more I watched Scott the more my nerves started to skyrocket.
If he was good last time, he was phenomenal now. Before, it was unusual. Now it was plain unnatural the way he swerved and dodged, moving with agility that wouldn’t be out of place in a superhero movie. He even did a whole ass flip over three of the players, that was the kicker. I looked up to Stiles who was already looking back down at me, sharing my loss for words.
Once the game was over we were too lost to join in on the cheering. I knew what was up, and it scared me to know that Stiles knew it too.
Was it so crazy to say that Scott was a werewolf?
~
“So… what exactly are we looking for again?” my eyes wandered over to Stiles at his computer while I lay on his bed, filing my nails.
He was practically buzzing after popping a couple Aderalls the second we got back from school. “Something… Anything!” His hands continued their frenzied typing, the clicking of the keys becoming a soothing background noise.
This was more or less me and Stiles’ typical Wednesday night - him doing whatever at his desk and me simply just being there so I didn’t get too bored sitting at home alone. To be fair, we usually didn’t have the constant impending sense of doom over the fact our best friend might be a freaking werewolf.
But even though we were both here, we hadn’t directly discussed our thoughts or theories, we didn’t really have to. But my anxiety was starting to escalate. “Okay, Stiles!” I speak louder - I had been saying things here or there but he’d been too in his own world to hear.
Finally, he spun his chair around and looked at me with wired eyes, “Hm?”
“What are we doing? What are we thinking?” I longed for a peek into his brain on a regular day, but today I really wanted to delve into those spinning cogs.
He paused to find the words. “We are thinking… There is something seriously up with Scott, and dare I say it- something not even human,” a sigh left his lips that he had bitten to pieces. The way he said ‘we’ instead of ‘I’m thinking’ was almost a plea for agreement, to tell him he’s not going crazy here, and if he was, at least I’d be crazy with him.
I nodded. “Yeah…” it was hard for me to know how much I should or shouldn’t say, or what I could say. Because I knew a lot more than I was letting on, and it was a shitty move - but the more he figured out about Scott… the closer he got to knowing my truth.
Silence hung in the air for a minute before he called me over with a wave of his hand.
“Come, look at this,” he swivelled his chair back around to sift through the myriad of tabs he had open that made his computer run slow and make an awful whirring noise.
My feet carried me to stand behind his chair, bending down to have a look at the screen.
‘Lycaon’
‘Wolfsbane’
A bunch of gory, ancient images littered the screen as he pointed out key phrases from each website.
And then, finally, the word ‘WEREWOLF.’
He must’ve noticed my wide-eyed muteness as he prompted a response out of me.
“Well?” he waited. “Listen, I- I know it sounds crazy, I know that. But… tell me this doesn’t make perfect sense?”
“You’re right,” I admitted candidly. He was.
“Look I’ve texted Scott… I figured he’s the one with all this he should be here to hear it.”
I was left to wonder how Scott would react to all of this; but the fact Stiles had accepted it so quickly was a wonder in itself. Secretly, I think he loved it all a little too much.
Knock knock.
When two loud bangs came from the other side of Stiles’ door he practically jumped out of his skin, luckily I was behind him to hold his chair upright, puting my hand down on his beating chest that he clutched with his own.
I tiptoed toward the door, reaching for the handle, but it opened before I got there.
There he was, his trademark crooked smile plastered on his lips as he could tell from our faces that he had scared us.
“Get in here!” I beckoned.
That’s when Stiles scrambled up to drag Scott in by the collar and pushed him back to sit on the bed while he paced around the room, finally sitting down in his chair.
“I’ve been reading,” he spoke at the speed of light as I took a seat next to Scott.
“For hours,” my hint of sarcasm didn’t seem to be appreciated, so I let him continue.
“Websites, books, all of it!”
Scott chuckled, “How much Adderal have you had today?”
“Unimportant.”
I turned to whisper one last thing before I shut up, “A lot.”
“Remember the joke from the other day…? Not a joke anymore.”
Scott looked clueless.
“The wolf– the bite in the woods!”
Still nothing.
Stiles shot up out of his seat. “Do you even know why a wolf howls?” His hands were flailing about like they always did; sometimes I genuinely thought he moved faster than me, and I have super speed!
“Should I?”
It was a rhetorical question.
“To signal its location to the rest of a pack! So if you heard a wolf howling that means there could’ve been others nearby, maybe even a whole pack of ‘em!”
The poor guy had not taken a break since 3 o’clock. I got up and stood at his side, placing a hand on his shoulder for him to take a breath, “Shh.”
“A whole pack of wolves?” Scott asked, now intrigued.
“No…” Stiles had finally calmed down a tad, “werewolves.”
My insides physically churned upon hearing him say it out loud. Scott however, did not look impressed. He stood up and grabbed his bag, ready to walk out, “Man, are you seriously wasting my time?”
Stiles was about to step forward, but I took over, moving my hand in front of him to signal I had got it, and my other one a bit rougher to Scott’s to stop him from leaving. “Look dude, I saw you on the field today, Scott. What you did today wasn’t just incredible… It was impossible.” My eyes softened, trying to reason with him.
He was about to retort when Stiles jumped back in, “People can’t just do that overnight! You flipped over 3 guys, Scott,” Stiles almost laughed, “Since when have you been able to do that, huh? I mean- your speed, your reflexes! And there’s the vision and the senses,” he listed everything off on his fingers.
“And don’t think I didn’t notice you don’t need your inhaler anymore!”
“Okay, dude! I can’t think about this now, we’ll talk tomorrow.” He somehow brushed off everything thing we had said as if it was the latest school gossip.
But I was now consumed by the same fever as Stiles, scampering up to him and taking him by the shoulders, raising my voice to their volume. “Tomorrow?”
“What!” Stiles added.
“No!” our pleas ping-ponged back and forth rhythmically as we begged for him to just listen. “The full moon’s tonight! Don’t you get it?”
“What are you guys trying to do!” Scott pushed back, but there was nothing in our eyes other than concern for him… and Allison.
“Everything in my life is somehow perfect, for once! Why are you trying to ruin it?”
I could physically feel the shift in the air as Stiles raked his fingers through his hair, taking in a lungful of air. “We’re trying to help,” his sincerity was like a pang to the heart.
“You’re cursed, Scott.”
That somehow hurt even worse.
It was a fact. But I found myself longing again for just a glimpse at what he really thought. Did he think his best friend was a monster? Did he think less of him? My questions were inherently selfish; I didn’t care what he thought about Scott - not nearly as much as what he thought about me. Because imagine how he would feel discovering his other friend is even more cursed, riddled with a dark history of deceit, horror, and even murder.
But this wasn’t about me. “Scott, he’s right,” my face turned just as solemn.
“You’re not only about the risk of you physically changing… it’s also when your bloodlust will be at its peak.”
Ah, my old friend. I was one to talk.
“Bloodlust?” his repetition was incredulous.
“Your-” I cleared my throat and tried again. “Your urge to kill.”
Scott practically seethed as his eyes flicked between us, “I’m already starting to feel an urge to kill, Sera.”
But before I could offer a witty retort of my own, Stiles had begun reading a passage from one of the books on his ransacked desk, “‘The change can be triggered by anger or anything that raises your pulse,’” he snapped the book closed and I half-flinched.
“Alright? I haven’t seen anyone raise your pulse like Allison does. You gotta cancel this date.”
Scott knew he was right, but I could hear the anger raising his pulse right there and then as Stiles shot towards his bag, scrambling around to get his hands on Scott’s phone to do it himself. “Screw it, I’m doing it myself.”
The next few seconds seemed to play in slow motion.
Scott’s voice shouted louder than I’d ever heard it, his actions much more aggressive as he practically flung Stiles against a wall in protest for his phone. A fist aimed at his best friend’s face, and his arm swinging back to push over the chair.
Too fast for either of them to notice I ran forward and intervened, pushing Scott’s now heaving figure away from a shellshocked Stiles. No one spoke.
Until Scott.
“I’m sorry.”
He didn’t sound sorry.
“I gotta get ready for that party.”
Tension in the room hung heavy, it was safe to say that was an unexpected turn.
And me? I was still stuck worrying that either of them had noticed the speed at which I got to them or the strength at which I countered Scott.
But when I finally came to my senses, I knew there was only one thing I could do.
Wordlessly I put my arms around Stiles, his naturally finding their place around my shoulders as I listened to the sound of his breathing.
Whatever was going on with Scott, I would take care of it.
~
The best way to stop Scott from doing anything stupid tonight was to keep an eye on him in person. He was with Allison at Lydia’s party, which naturally had half the entire school there even though it was announced just yesterday.
Which in turn meant that it might be a little more difficult to spot him than hoped.
Since I had come with Stiles I was immediately roped into one of his and his nerd friends’ conversations about something I had no clue about - it sounded like a foreign language. He could tell I was a little out of place, so he stuck by my side, his hand snaking around my waist as nothing more than a friendly gesture.
While we waited for a gap in conversation to seek out Scott, one of the jocks from the lacrosse team ‘bumped into me,’ a typical cocky grin on his lips. “Sorry, babe.”
It was so insincere I almost laughed in his face.
“Come here, I’ll get you a drink to make up for it.”
Gross. Stiles noticed the interaction and audibly scoffed, but I ignored him.
“Ew?” I said simply in the guy’s face, pushing him away with my fingertips and shooing him off.
This little interaction made the boys we were standing with suddenly aware that I was in fact a girl, and a popular one at that, turning them all even more awkward in the blink of an eye - Stiles found this incredibly stupid.
“Hey,” my demeanour screamed boredom and he must’ve noticed. “You go have fun. We can find Scott later, we’ve got plenty of time.”
My eyes lit up. ‘Thank God.’ “Ugh, you’re the best, Sti,” I grabbed his hand with both of mine and walked away, dropping it when out of reach. “Love you, man!” I pointed a finger at him before turning and skipping away.
There was a collective gasp from those boys, so shocked that Stiles could get a girl to say she loved him.
Poor losers. They’re lucky Stiles was a little nerd at heart because he was way too cool for them.
Outside seemed like my best bet to have some fun. Everyone was dancing, drinking, making out. This was my scene. You never outgrew a high school party (unless you were my buzzkill of a twin brother); just because you’re dead doesn’t mean you have to stop living.
I found some guy to dance with to kill my time, sipping a drink out of a red solo cup, all the while keeping my eyes peeled for that pesky little werewolf on the prowl somewhere.
And as we moved, there he was. He still looked very much human, and Allison didn’t look horrified, so it seemed as though we were all good.
The night moved quickly, 40 minutes had felt like ten and now there were even more people to block my watchful eye.
I could smell dog - or wolf rather - over the alcohol and teenage B.O., so Scott must be nearby.
But as soon as I told myself not to panic, my phone rang.
STILES…
Stiles
SCOTT
MISSING
CAN’T FIND HIM
GET OFF THAT DUDE AND COME
“Shit!” I cursed under my breath, causing the guy I was with to give a dumb ‘huh?’ which I waved off, excusing myself and running back into the house.
I soon found Stiles who was standing at the front door, keys in hand and ready to hit it.
But when we got to Scott’s house he had already left out his bedroom window. He would be back, there was no point in chasing him - not on a full moon, not out there.
Stiles went to sit on the bed while I paced, putting a hand on my forehead.
“Listen,” he stayed calm in an effort to soothe my nerves, “he’ll be back soon. I can take you home and I’ll come back to wait for him, I know you haven't been sleeping well.”
I spun on my heel to look him in the eyes, sincere enough to make my hand drop-down. “It’s fine you don’t-”
“Come on,” he stood up, not letting me finish and I didn’t want to argue - he was right, I was stressed, tired, and could not pull another all-nighter due to supernatural stress.
I was an overthinker in life, that was only amplified with being turned.
“Okay…” I admitted defeat, a once-in-a-lifetime thing to hear from me. Stiles even raised his eyebrows in shock that he didn’t have to do any more convincing.
“Thanks,” I paused, looking up at him. Maybe this was his way of making it even after I saved him from Scott earlier; he was the only one who ever saw that I needed saving sometimes too.
~
Late-night rides in Stiles’ Jeep were always a comfort. Music on, but not blaring, yet loud enough for me to sing along - quiet enough to hear my soft melodies over the recording.
I got him to drop me off down my road (as usual), using the excuse of ‘not wanting my brother to see me sneak back in.’
But the walk up to my house felt like a walk of shame. Every time I lied it felt worse. Especially to him.
After opening my door I sped straight up to my room, my swirling thoughts refusing to quiet for one second. I felt so alone in this fabricated life I had made spun. I couldn’t tell Scott or Stiles what I knew, and they were the ones fucking involved!
So I did the only thing I could do and called my brother.
“Damon?”
Immediately, he could hear something was up. Yeah, he was a rude, stone-faced, ladykiller (literally), but I saw his true heart of gold, just like when we were kids.
“Sera? Hey, what’s up?”
Where do I start?
Werewolves. My best friend being one of them. Thinking there might be more.
It was a long conversation.
~
After getting everything off my chest and a nice glass of bourbon, I slept like a rock.
In the morning, Stiles had finally managed to find Scott, picking me up on the way, but I wasn’t much entertainment. I was still half asleep, leaning my head against the window while I yawned.
“You needed that sleep, huh?” Stiles teased, wanting me to admit he was right to send me home last night.
My pride was too strong, but I did crack a smile, “Shut up.”
And soon, we saw a familiar, shirtless frame, wandering alone down where the road met the trees - did he have any idea how much of a werewolf cliche he was?
The car stopped beside him and he saw us, stopping to get in, looking downright shaken.
When he unlatched the door to my side he opened his mouth to tell me to get in the back, but Stiles interrupted before he could.
“Nuh-uh,” he shook his head, hands still gripping the wheel, “you know the drill, climb through,” he nodded toward the back.
My smile widened. It had become a given.
Scott went to protest that he had just been gallivanting through the woods for a night, but Stiles cut him off with another noise, pulling a disgruntled sigh out of Scott as he dove over the middle console.
The drive was unusually tense. A strong vibe of ‘I told you so’ came off both me and Stiles that coerced Scott into silence who now felt bad for the way he reacted yesterday, because we were right.
After about 3 minutes, he finally spoke, “You know what worries me the most?”
Stiles craned his neck back to see his friend curled up against the metal frame, his face unmoving as he was still angry. “If you say Allison I’m gonna punch you in the head.”
“She probably hates me now,” he whined, not listening.
“I doubt that,” I interjected, “But you might wanna come up with a pretty amazing apology.”
“Or you could tell her the truth,” Stiles shrugged as we both cast looks at him to tell him that was stupid. “And revel in the fact that you’re a freaking werewolf!”
“But really, we’ll get through this,” he continued, not only looking to Scott but to both of us. “If we have to we’ll chain you up ourselves on full moon nights and feed you live mice. I had a boa once, I could do it.”
There he was. His tone was lighter again as he reached down into his bag to chuck Scott the shirt he brought for him since we were headed straight for school. It was Stiles. He couldn’t stay mad for too long, not at something he found as awesome as this.
It left me with a glimmer of hope.

I Wish I Was (I Wish I Was) by dressedupasmyself
Summary:
“I think that even if you find your soulmate, there’s some measure of choice involved. Maybe some people just make the wrong choices.” “Good,” Caroline said. “What if my soulmate is, like, the worst? I wouldn’t want to be stuck with him forever. I want some kind of choice.” “But that’s the beauty of it,” Elena sounded wistful, “Your soulmate might be awful to everyone else, but they’re the best for you.” Caroline scoffed. “Okay, whatever.”

Klonnie AU: Struggling to regain her magic, Bonnie turns to Professor Shane, who introduces her to Expression. Just as she starts to make progress, Klaus—who has been closely monitoring her and her friends—appears before her. He is determined not to let the young Bennett witch's magic regain her magic unchecked. Klaus reveals a shocking and dark truth about Atticus Shane that leaves Bonnie both doubtful of her new mentor and suspicious of the Hybrid's motives. Now, Bonnie is torn, caught yet again in one of Klaus’s schemes and Shane’s secrets, unable to fully trust either but wary of being used yet again. Season 4 AU.
That's when Bonnie felt it—a presence, watchful and predatory.
"Well, well," a familiar accented voice drawled from the shadows. "Quite the studious student, aren't we?"
Bonnie whirled around, her heart racing. "Klaus," she spat, tension dancing at her fingertips. "What are you doing here?"
Klaus emerged from the darkness, his trademark smirk in place. "Let's just say a little bird told me about your... extracurricular activities."
"You've been spying on me?" Bonnie's voice rose, indignation coloring her tone.
"I have people for that, love" Klaus replied, circling her slowly. "Nothing happens without me, knowing. No matter how insignificant." He looked Bonnie up and down and smirked. "Though I must say, your choice of mentor is intriguing. Tell me, what does a mere human know about magic that's got you so captivated?"
Bonnie's jaw tightened. "That's none of your business."
"Oh, but it is," Klaus countered, his eyes glinting dangerously. "I make it my business to know what my adversaries are up to." He smirked, his eyes narrowing as he stepped closer. "Just a friendly warning, love. You’re playing with fire by trusting Atticus Shane. He isn’t teaching you magic to help you; he’s using you."
Bonnie tightened her grip on the book in her hands, refusing to let Klaus's sudden appearance shake her. "And why should I believe anything you say? You don’t care about me." Bonnie scoffed, her voice steady despite the nerves simmering beneath the surface.
"True," Klaus admitted, circling her slowly. "But I do care about power—especially when it’s in the hands of someone who could become a threat to my plans."
Bonnie faltered, hostility flashing in her eyes. "So you're here to kill me?"
Klaus smiled, a cold glint in his eyes. "On the contrary, Bonnie. I'm just here to warn you. This magic you're dabbling in is not to be trifled with, little witch."
"Since when do you care about my welfare?" Bonnie scoffed.
Klaus's smile was sharp, almost predatory. "Noble intentions, as always. But tell me, little witch, have you considered that perhaps you're the one who needs protecting? Not from me, but from your newfound 'mentor'?"
Bonnie's eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about?"
"Atticus Shane," Klaus said, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "The man who claims to understand and teach magic better than a witch. Quite presumptuous for a mere human, don't you think?"
"He's helping me," Bonnie retorted, "I know that’s a difficult concept for you to understand."
Klaus pressed on. "Is he now? And what exactly does the philanthropist professor get out of this arrangement? Have you ever wondered about his true motives?"
Bonnie took a step back, wary confusion evident on her face.
"Oh, sweet naïve Bonnie," Klaus's smirk widened. "Next time you have a cozy little session with your mentor, ask him about Caitlin. His wife. Ask him how she died... practicing Expression."
Bonnie froze, shock etched across her features. "What... what are you saying?"
Klaus leaned in, his voice low. "I'm saying, love, that perhaps Shane's interest in you comes from a very personal place. A place of loss, perhaps even desperation. And desperate men, well... they tend to be dangerous. Much like desperate witches, wouldn't you agree?"
Bonnie flinched, memories of her Grams' pain flashing through her mind. Klaus's words cut deep, playing on her worst fears about the path she'd chosen.
But when Bonnie looked up to respond and reply that it was his hand that forced her in this situation, Klaus had already vanished, leaving her alone with her swirling thoughts and growing doubts.
Klaus watched Bonnie from the shadows, he saw her once confident stance crumble slightly. She hugged herself, clearly shaken, before hurrying away into the night. A satisfied smile played on Klaus's lips. The seed of doubt had been planted. Whether it would grow into distrust or push Bonnie further into Shane's manipulations remained to be seen. Klaus knew she was too smart to trust him outright, but he had given her intuition a much-needed nudge.
Her vulnerability, stemming from the loss of her magic—a loss he was partly responsible for—presented an opportunity he couldn't ignore. Shane was clearly using Bonnie's isolation and grief to his advantage, and Klaus was not above doing the same.
As he melted back into the darkness, Klaus's mind turned to his future plans. This was all connected—Bonnie, Atticus Shane, the Hunters and an ancient tale of that predated even his own existence. More importantly, it invariably involved the Cure. And where the cure was concerned, Klaus would ensure no one stood in his way. Especially given the young witch's rather interesting connection to and the Cure.
For now, though, Bonnie alive and conflicted served his purposes better than Bonnie dead. Let her regain her magic, let her doubt fester naturally. Klaus could be patient when it suited him.
"All in good time," he murmured to himself, a plan already forming in his mind. Whatever game Shane was playing, Klaus intended to play it better. He was a 1000 years old and already several moves ahead. And Bonnie Bennett, whether she knew it or not, had just become a key piece on his chessboard.

Happy Birthday Klaus Mikaelson x Pinkie Pie! Reader
Type: Challenge One shot
Challenge Masterlist -> Here
Summary: You celebrate Klaus’ birthday, much to his displeasure.
Warnings: Nothing really , mentions of violence
Tumblr media
If you could do anything for anyone it would be making them feel special. In a world practically bursting with people, it’s easy for some to fall through the cracks. Into the lonely abyss of forgotten. While you enjoy time to yourself, sometimes it’s too much.
The feeling of not being connected to anyone had deeply upset you since you were young. Maybe it was friends never trying with your relationship, or busy parents or teachers never bothering to learn your name because of your quiet nature. All of it combined really brought you down.
Until it didn’t and it instead pissed you off. You channeled how you felt to become more sociable in high school, using it as your chance to start again. You spoke with everyone no matter the clique or social status. Determined that no one in your reach would feel like you.
Naturally this filtered into celebrating birthdays. Whether it was bringing in presents or cards to any and everyone you’d spoken to. People in your class, in your after school groups, on your street. By sophomore year you’d cemented your position as the peppy party planner who was always the life of the party.
You’d kept that up all the way till senior year. Happy to make others happy. You kept a list of everyone birthday. Always staying on top of them. So why did everyone expect you to exclude Klaus Mikaelson from your list?
“I just don’t get it, how do you even know his birthday?” Caroline asked, before stabbing a piece of cake on her paper plate.
You smile as you pack away some blue solo cups, “I know everyone’s birthday.”
The blonde gives you a questioning look.
You laugh, “Maybe I’ve got some Bennet blood in my veins and I’m psychic.” You muse.
Caroline rolls her eyes, “When you can light candles with your mind let me know.”
“If I could, I still wouldn’t be able to put enough candles on Klaus’ cake.” The party had been for one of the girls in your art class. She’d asked if you’d help make it a memorable birthday and you could do nothing but deliver.
“I just don’t know if it’s a good idea. There’s all that stuff that happened with him and what if he like, I dunno, kills you?”
Now it’s your turn to roll your eyes at your friend. “That was ages ago. Now him and Elena are practically on speaking terms. Rebekah had no problem when I brought her a cake.”
Caroline chokes on the freshly frosted piece of blue birthday cake. One you’d made especially for Emily. From the rest of the decorations and the dress code, anyone could tell that was her favourite colour.
“Rebekah Mikaelson? She’s crazy. The amount of times she’s tried to kill me, to kill Elena.” She starts to rant.
It was true the Mikaelsons had brought trouble into town with them. Klaus was desperate for Elena’s blood, ready to kill anyone who stopped him. He and his family often clashed with Caroline and her friends. Occasionally you too, yet you tried to stay out of it.
After all parties had gotten what they wanted, with much mediation on Elijah’s part and changing of the a spell on Bonnie’s, they managed to reach an agreement.
“It was all smoother over, what it not?” You ask her, still busy packing away decorations. “Aren’t you meeting Elena today?”
Caroline raises her eyebrows in shock and practically throws her cake down. She takes a napkin to wipe her face, then starts to collect her stuff.
“You are totally right. Elena wants me to help Jenna pick out an outfit for her and Ricks anniversary.” She tells you.
“Thank you so much for this. Just be safe with Klaus okay. Don’t do anything reckless.” You wave her off, finally being able to stack boxes of party supplies together.
You say your goodbyes and watch the blonde hurry off. It doesn’t take long to pack all the items away. You see Emily before you leave. She’s clearly having a good time, with more than juice in her solo cup. She slurs her goodbye and thanks you extensively, at one point wrapping her arms around you in a jumble of a hug.
For Klaus’ cake you decided to go simple. Well simple ish. It was a plain enough cake that said happy birthday in white buttercream. It was covered in a blue fondant. When you finish you realise how boring it looks. While you don’t want to push your limits with this cake, you also want to go above and beyond for Klaus.
You’d heard of his tales, of what he’d done in the past. You’d also seen him around town. Always alone. It seemed he didn’t have all that many friends, outside of his siblings. Even they didn’t act like friends.
It reminded you of how you felt all those years ago. Alone and sad. Lonely in a town so small you’d bump into teachers all the time. Sometimes in the most inconvenient locations.
So you added extra details. You fashioned a brush and paint pallet out of fondant. Arranging it carefully on top of the cake. When you were satisfied with your work you put the cake in the box and in the fridge.
You wrote out a card and packed his present in a small bag. The present in question was a pack of small canvases and brushes. You knew he liked to paint. Once you’d seen his work on the wall of the Mikaelsons house. It was a large piece, portraying a field of flowers and a serene sky filled with the colours of a sunset. It was truly marvellous.
Yet it got you thinking, what about little canvases? Little piece of work that wouldn’t be as large a project, but could require just as much detail and precision for the small space.
Eyes wide and lips pulled up to smile brightly, you walked through the door of the bar. It was a little difficult with the large cake in your hands and present and card bag dangling from your arm, but your managed. You searched for Klaus, finding the man in a booth in a the corner of the bar. He sat alone of course, nursing a glass of scotch.
He didn’t look up when you walked towards his table. The bar was fairly empty and he was clearly in his own world.
You place the cake down on the table, then pulled the bag of your arm, placing it down next to it. Then you sit opposite him in the booth, moving the items on the table aside slightly so you can see Klaus.
Klaus’ eyebrows knit together in confusion. He knew you of course. Noticed you at his family’s ball and around town. He’d heard Rebekah gushing about you to Elijah. Talking about how happy she’d been when you brought her a cake and made her feel special.
“What all this Love?” He asks. You try not to let the pet name mean anything. While Klaus is an extremely attractive person you’re here for a purpose.
“Happy birthday!” You smile wildly then pull out a party blower from your pocket, giving it a blow. Much to the other patrons (not that there are many) displeasure.
He lets a small smile grow on his face, “Sorry love, but I think birthdays stop counting after you move into a four digits age.”
You shake your head, “No way. If you’re immortal then so is your birthday buddy.”
“Buddy?” He asks incredulous.
You push the bag towards him. To which he cautiously peels back the the tissue paper and pulls out the contents.
“They’re mini canvases.” You tell him. Then explain how you’ve see his work - which you think was really beautiful - and how you though painting a smaller canvas would be a different challenge and a change for him. He nods along. Almost entranced by what you’re saying.
“That’s really thoughtful, love. Thank you. I can’t remember the last time anyone celebrated my birthday.” He told you earnestly. Genuinely so appreciative of your kind gesture.
“Well that’s a real shame Klaus.” For a moment your eyes connect and you feel rooted in place. You try not to blush so instead move on to remove the cover of his cake.
“Now don’t get too upset, but there aren’t any candles on your cake. I think it would be a little difficult to fit over 1000 candles on there.” He laughs. Eyes move to appraise the cake. They widen in surprise at the detail on the cake and the paint pallet and paintbrush you’ve created.
“This looks amazing love. Thank you.” It’s the first time you’ve seen Klaus Mikaelson smile. It’s genuine and lights his face. For a moment he doesn’t look like some scary vampire. He looks like a man enjoying his birthday.
“Happy Birthday Klaus Mikaelson. Have a great day.” You say, reaching a hand out to his own.
Time seems to slow as you stare into his eyes. Your hands entwine and your heart skips a beat. You notice how there’s some green in his dark blue eyes. For a moment they shine gold.
It’s enough to bring you out of your daze. You move to stand only for Klaus to stop you.
“Aren’t you staying for a piece?”

Go Timberwolves!
Fandom: The Vampire Diaries
Pairing: Elijah Mikaelson x Plus size! cheerleader!reader
Description: You're a cheerleader and Elijah is in the stands. Your friend Jessica notices him first.
Warnings: none
____________________________________________________________
“Who is that?”
Jessica was looking over at the stands and toward a group of guys, all sitting next to each other. They looked hilariously out of place, all seemingly dressed for different events. The one with reddish hair and kiss-me lips was wearing a velvet jacket over a v-neck, three necklaces dangling over his heart. You’d seen him hanging around before, and recognized him as Rebekah’s brother Klaus. How many times had he been watching Caroline from the sidelines during a game or desperately offering to walk her to her car? Doubtful that Jessica didn’t know who that was, or that he was clearly obsessed with everyone’s favorite blonde.
Then there was the youngest of the three. He was dressed pretty normally for a high school football game in a t-shirt and jeans. He spoke animatedly to Klaus, who looked about as thrilled to listen as he would have been to get struck by lightning. His name was escaping your memory, but it was another K name, you were sure of it. Kyle! No…Kal?
All thoughts of K names were stripped from your thoughts the second your eyes landed on Jessica’s mystery man.
His hair was dark, and his eyes were darker. His features were angular, practically Grecian. He was wearing a suit, which was ridiculous because who wore a suit in Mystic Falls unless they were a realtor or attending a Lockwood party? Somehow, though, he pulled it off so perfectly that there was no question that he should be wearing it.
Never had you been so struck by a stranger. His eyes scanned over the crowd, and across the field, before landing squarely on you.
You blushed and turned away, heart thundering in your chest.
Elena and Bonnie had followed Jessica’s gaze too, and gave each other knowing looks. You were friendly with Elena but not close. You and Bonnie had been good friends since middle school, though, so you felt no shame sidling up to her and joining her conversation.
“Info on Jessica’s mystery man?” you asked, spreading your legs as you sat next to Bonnie, beginning to stretch. She laughed and gave you a stern look. “He’s Klaus’ older brother. No mystery.”
You bent forward, stretching out your back and Bonnie followed suit. “Off limits?” you ask, trying to seem curious but not invested.
“Yes.” she said quickly. Elena smacked Bonnie’s thigh.
“Elijah is not off limits.” she said. “He’s actually the only one out of the three of them I’d say is pretty on…limits…”
Elijah....you tried the name out in your head. Yes, you decided, that was a good name.
You all giggled. “I mean, Klaus is just too in love with Caroline.” you shrugged. “I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere near him.”
You sat up and bent your neck to the side, eyeing the rest of the cheerleaders. “Hey, where is Caroline?”
“Tyler drama.” Bonnie said conspiratorially. She sat upright, finished with her stretching. “He’s leaving again.”
“Shit.” you said, finishing up yourself. “I don’t really know what she sees in him anyway. He’s always been kind of an asshole. And Klaus seems to really like her.”
“Well Klaus needs to earn her.” Elena said hastily, turning away slightly. You weren’t sure what that was supposed to mean, but if Bonnie’s similarly agitated face was any indication, there was something going on that you weren’t in on. It wasn’t really any of your business anyway, you conceded, so you didn’t harp on it. Boy drama was so not your thing.
There was a fanfare suddenly, as the marching band began playing the introduction music for the Timberwolves. Rebekah stood and called you and the other cheerleaders into formation.
Once the players began coming out, you’d go right into the classic Timberwolves fighting cheer.
Just as the first player was making his entrance, a blonde head appeared next to you, startling you. It was as if she'd appeared out of thin air.
“Caroline!” you said, throwing a hand on your chest. “You scared the shit out of me.”
She smiled nervously. “Did I?”
You just laughed and joined the rest of the girls in the Timberwolves fighting chant, shaking your pom-poms and kicking your legs up.
The game didn’t start out super well for the Timberwolves, so you didn’t have a ton to do for awhile. You spoke to Caroline briefly about Tyler, but she didn’t want to say much, and she seemed genuinely upset about something. You weren’t close enough with her to give her emotional support, so you instead distracted her with a quick game of fuck, marry, kill between the three handsome Mikaelson boys.
“Kill Kol, Marry Klaus, Fuck Elijah.” Caroline said confidently. Kol! That was his name.
She was speaking a bit loudly, like she wanted someone to hear her. Probably Jessica.
You glanced up at the stands and noticed Klaus and Kol with their heads bent together. Elijah looked completely nonplussed.
“What about you?” she asked.
You glanced up at the brothers again. Elijah was looking in your direction now, almost as if he was listening to your conversation. He was probably just looking at the cheerleaders. He definitely wasn’t admiring you - you were the only girl on the squad who wore a uniform above a size large.
Still, you couldn’t help but fantasize about the idea of the three of them. Kol wasn’t really your type, so he was an easy kill. Klaus was gorgeous, to be sure, but something about Elijah was still singing through your veins after laying eyes on him that first time.
“Kill Kol, fuck Klaus, marry Elijah.”
Caroline gave you a wicked smile. “Elijah, huh?”
You shrugged. “He’s incredibly good looking.”
“Poor Kol.” Caroline said, her lip pouting.
“Rejection builds character.”
You glanced up again, and Elijah looked as if he might be laughing - Klaus too. Kol had his arms crossed against his chest. Weird….
Rebekah shrieked all of a sudden, breaking you out of your thoughts, as the Timberwolves finally scored, and the squad got on their feet to cheer.
The game ended with a Timberwolves win which you were thankful for - every win meant half price burgers at the grill. You and a few other girls planned to go there after, and you grabbed your stuff from the locker room, hoping to get to your car and beat them there - you were not going to be the fat girl in a mini skirt sliding into a booth full of people.
Bonnie, Elena and Caroline were all leaving together, huddled in conversation.
“Half price burgers, ladies?” you asked, walking backwards in front of them. “A Timberwolves win is a win for all of us.” you joked, quoting your incredibly cringy gym coach.
The girls laughed, but shook their heads.
“Homework.”
“Boy drama.”
“Tired.”
They’d all spoken at the same time, and you gave them all an incredulous look. “Ladies, I’m heartbroken. Next time if you’re going to break my heart, do it one at a time.”
You gave them a winning smile, and they returned it easily, thankful you hadn’t been upset.
“Next time I’m making you guys go!” you called, still walking backwards as you exited the hallway out of the locker room. You backed into the double doors leading to the parking lot and called a goodbye to them, turning around.
And slamming right into someone.
“Oh!” you cried, toppling towards the asphalt. The ground never came, though, because a pair of hands was holding you steady, and lifted you slowly upwards until you were staring Elijah Mikaelson in the face.
“My apologies.”he said, in a voice that hit that your ears and sent shivers straight to the apex of your thighs. Your jaw dropped, suddenly faced with his nearness.
“Not at all!” you cried. “I wasn’t looking.”
Not too far away stood Kol and Klaus. The former was watching you and Elijah, looking like he was trying very hard not to laugh. Klaus, of course, had become distracted the moment Caroline had appeared. He was stalking towards her, and to your surprise, Caroline looked like she might be walking towards him too. Normally she brushed him off completely.
You focused your attention back on Elijah.
“Excellent job tonight.” he said, his eyes locked on yours. You felt flushed from the unbroken eye contact, but didn’t dare break it.
“Thanks. It makes our job a bit easier when the team actually manages to score.”
He laughed, full and bright, and it made your heart soar to hear it.
“I’m Y/N.” you said, introducing yourself.
“Elijah. Mikaelson.”
“Nice to meet you Elijah.”
You offered your hand and he took it firmly in yours, but rather than shake it, he brought it up to his lips and kissed the back of it. Ok, you were officially a puddle on the ground and people were going to have to step in you to get to their cars.
“Hi!” came a bubbly voice, and you glanced over seeing Jessica. Of course she was going to try and stake her claim.
“I’m Jessica.” she said, sidling up next to you. “I saw you in the stands earlier. You’re a Mikaelson, aren’t you?”
Elijah nodded politely. “My reputation precedes me.”
Jessica smiled her flirty smile and pushed her chest out. “Rebekah and I are good friends. I make a point to know my friends’ families. It’s only good manners.”
You rolled your eyes involuntarily from behind Jessica, who had stepped into your space. When had she ever spent time with Rebekah outside of practice? She was clearly making her claim known, and you huffed, backing off.
A guy like Elijah wouldn’t be interested in you, anyway. It would have been nice to at least been given a chance, though, before perfect little Jessica had to come in and do her thing.
You sighed to yourself. That wasn’t nice. Jessica was your friend. It just sucked, sometimes, being the only bigger girl in a group of girls. Things were different for you.
“Well, I’ll let you two get acquainted.” you said, and Jessica quickly told you not to wait up for her at the Grill. You smiled encouragingly at her, even though you would have rather eaten nails. Jessica did technically see Elijah first, though, so regardless, the rule of dibs was firmly in place. Elijah’s eyes met yours and he looked…disappointed? It was probably nothing.
As you turned to go to your car, Matt Donovan brushed past you, walking fast. “Sorry, Y/N!” he called, power walking to his truck. You shook your head, laughing. You’d never seen Matt move that fast for anything, not even out on the field.
The other girls had made their way out now, and you caught up with them briefly to let them know you'd be going home instead of out. You weren't really in the mood for celebration any more. They gave you tight hugs and told you to call them in the morning, and you gave them all the finger just to get a laugh out of them.
Bonnie was leaning against her car when you made your way to yours.
“Why’d you do that?” she asked, giving you a curious look.
“Why’d I do what?” you said, tossing your duffle into the backseat.
“You just let Jessica take over. You were talking to Elijah first.”
“Yeah, but Jessica saw him first. Besides, I bumped into him. It’s not like we talked about anything profound.”
Bonnie sighed. “You wanted to talk to him though.”
You crossed your arms. “Yeah, so?”
“So!” she cried, placing her hands on your shoulders. “So you’re the funniest girl on the planet, and you're beautiful and talented and you deserve to be happy.”
You rolled your eyes. “Shut up.”
“It’s true! You’re amazing.”
“I know, I just wanted you to say more.”
Bonnie shoved at you playfully. “See? Your wit is unmatched.”
“And you’re kind.” you said seriously. “And a really, really good friend.”
Bonnie looked down, her mouth quirked to the side. “Thank you.”
A laugh echoed from across the parking lot, and you stared at Caroline and Klaus standing by Caroline’s car. They were standing close together and laughing, and Klaus’ finger was twirled around a strand of Caroline’s hair.
You hit Bonnie in the shoulder and pointed.
“Ummmmmm?” You gave her an incredulous look.
“I know!” Bonnie said, coming to lean against your car. “She said she broke up with Tyler. She said she’s done with wishy-washy.”
You smiled happily as the two continued flirting. “I’ve been dying for them to get together.”
“No, literally!” She threw her hands up in the air. “The tension was incredibly cuttable.”
You snorted. “Like, thick enough I think I’d need a chainsaw.”
Bonnie hid her giggle behind her hand. You watched Klaus and Caroline as Bonnie began asking you if you were still going to the grill.  You wished you had a guy to flirt with against your car.
“I’m kind of hungry all of a -”
Bonnie’s voice trailed off, and you tore your eyes away from the happy couple to stare at your friend.
“Bon?”
Her eyes were trained behind you, a small smile on her lips. You followed her eyes, and there was Elijah. His nearness startled you, and you jumped a foot in the air.
“My apologies.” he said, amusement in his eyes.
“We have got to stop meeting like that.” you responded.
“I’ll see you tomorrow!” Bonnie called, already on the other side of her car and hopping in the front seat. You gave her an incredulous look.
“Traitor!” you called, as she began to pull out. She looked completely self righteous as she pulled out of the parking lot, Britney blasting on her speakers.
“Well..” you breathed, turning back to Elijah. “Twice in one night? To what do I owe my great fortune?”
He shrugged. “I have a thing for cheerleaders.”
Your jaw dropped. “Wait, are you serious?”
He laughed. “No, not at all. But I saw you from the stands and wanted to get to know you better. So here I am.”
You couldn’t help the huge smile overtaking your face. Elijah Mikaelson wanted to get to know you?
“What about Jessica?”
He shrugged. “She’s a nice girl. Not really my type.”
“And I am?”
He huffed. “Am I not making myself clear? Shall I fetch a plane and spell it out in the sky for you?”
I shook my head, faux serious. “It’s nighttime Elijah. I’d never be able to see that.”
He snorted - actually snorted. It was the most adorable thing you might have ever heard.
“You’re a minx, and you know it. Now agree to go to dinner with me.”
“Half price burgers at the grill?”
He smiled wryly. “No, that won’t do. I’m a full price kind of guy. I need candles, roses, the whole chair pulling out thing. Carlo’s. Friday night. Eight o’ clock.”
Carlo’s was like, ridiculously nice. And expensive. “But that’s-”
“It’s what?” he challenged. “Because if you’re suggesting I can’t afford it…”
You shook your head. “No, of course not. I’m sure you can. But I can’t!”
Faster than you could even fathom, Elijah was backing you up into the side of your car, his hands locked on either side of you, face inches away from your own. His eyes were dark and bore into you, making your palms begin to sweat.
“I’m not in the habit of taking women out on dates and having them pay.” His breath fanned across your face. Your eyes flickered down to his lips, and you shivered. His presence was intoxicating.
“Have I made myself clear?” he asked, and damn if that question didn’t excite you. You nodded, your breath hitching, and he leaned even closer to you for a moment before pushing himself away.
“Good!” he declared, and once he backed off, he took a moment to rake his gaze across your body. Your uniform did little for the imagination, and you were kind of thankful.
“See you soon, Y/N.” He called sweetly, shifting from domineering to polite so quick you had whiplash. You watched him go, a dopey smile on your face.
“Wait!” you called. “Do you want my phone number?”
He paused, then reached into his pocket for his phone. He typed for a moment, then locked the screen and placed it back in his pocket.
Your phone dinged.
Tell Bonnie I said thank you.
You smirked. Of course Bonnie had given him your number. You'd have to remember to get her a thank you gift.
As you started your car and got ready to go, movement from the car behind you caught your attention in your mirror. You struggled to see clearly what it was, but when you did, you were shocked.
There, in the pickup truck Rebekah Mikaelson had gifted him, was Matt Donovan making out with her brother Kol.
You laughed all the way home, imagining the look on Rebekah’s face when she finds out.

The Housekeeper | Part 1 | Elijah Mikaelson x Reader
Additional tags: Human!Mikaelsons, Modern!AU, Housekeeper!Reader, no use of Y/N Pairings: Elijah Mikaelson x Reader, The Originals x Reader (Platonic) Summary: You've been hired as the new housekeeper for the Mikaelson estate, owned by the elusive Elijah Mikaelson.
Tumblr media
His sister had hired you. She had explained during the interview that her brother's previous housekeeper had been getting on in age and was looking to retire soon. There would be two weeks of training to make the transition between housekeeper feel seamless. The master of the home had a certain expectation of the cleanliness of his home, and he would expect the same amount of care to be shown by the new housekeeper.
You weren't worried at all.
You grew up around the janitorial occupation. Your mother had taken you along with her to the home's she'd been hired at on days you didn't have school. She always sat you down and made sure you were occupied while she went about tidying up the million dollar residences. You watched her most of the time. Saw how hard she worked to keep the domicile organized and clean. Whether it be cleaning the toilets, mopping the floors, scrubbing the bathtub. Your mother did it all. And you had been so impressed with her.
While many other children looked up to and aspired to be firefighters or astronauts, you had wanted to do what your mother did.
"One of the greatest things in life you can do, is to serve others." Your mother had once said. After a long and tough day at work, you asked her why she seemed to enjoy this job so much when it took so much out of her, physically. That had been her response. And when her employer arrived, looking at his home impressed and awestruck, his wide smile and generous words had made your mother's face light up like a Christmas tree.
"That feeling you get," she explained, "when a person thanks you from the bottom of their heart, when you can see the gratitude in their eyes; you can feel your chest swell with warmth at their words. It's one of the best feelings in the world."
You hadn't felt that before. You wanted to know what it felt like. So, one day in school, you made an effort to offer your services to clean up the classroom for your 2nd grade teacher, Miss Dobson.
After the class had been dismissed for recess, you walked over to the supply cabinet and grabbed a cleaning spray you had seen your teacher use for cleaning smudges, and a small hand towel, and got to work on wiping down all the desks of your classmates. Miss Dobson, having occupied herself with wiping the chalkboard clean looked over at you, diligently cleaning the desks.
Her look of surprise soon morphed into one of unabashed thankfulness. "That is very thoughtful of you! Thank you so much, my little helper!"
Safe to say, your mother had been right. The feeling you got was unlike anything you had ever experienced.
Since that moment, you'd vowed to follow in your mother's footsteps. Having observed her all your life, you went into the housecleaning business once you turned 18.
And it's how you had ended up working for one of the heirs of the Mikaelson conglomerate. Namely, the 2nd eldest son, Elijah Mikaelson.
The Mikaelsons were a world-renowned name, made famous by the various industries each sibling was tied to. The oldest of the siblings and 1st daughter, Freya, worked closely with the 2nd youngest brother, Kol; the two had co-founded an archeological enterprise that specialized in finding and preserving ancient texts and artifacts, usually donating items to museums the world over.
The oldest son, Finn, was a deeply loved humanitarian and patron for education. He traveled the world, working with out-reach programs to feed famine-stricken countries and bring medicine to villages that faced medical crisis. He also worked closely with his siblings Freya and Kol to facilitate extracurricular programs for children to learn more about history, giving out funds to schools to create more opportunities to take their classes to museums and other learning facilities.
Nikalus Mikaelson; or as his more well-known alias, Klaus, was a huge advocate for the arts. He owned and ran several galleries in different countries, curated a vast collection of paintings from famous artists of the past, and was quite the accomplished artist himself. He also funded many theaters, most of them opera houses and even owned a very exclusive art supply chain.
Rebekah, the youngest daughter, and the one who had hired you in the first place, was one of the highest paid models of this generation. She also had her own clothing line and marketed a lot of her items online, using her influence to sell her product. Out of all the siblings, Rebekah was the most "accessible", so to speak, her online presence marking her as the most social of the family.
There was also the youngest brother, Henrik, but he was still pursuing his education overseas, although rumor had it that he was very close to his brother Klaus and it was expected that he would most likely venture into the art business with him.
Finally, there was Elijah. The more elusive of the siblings. The 2nd eldest son was well established in the wine industry. He owned several wineries and even some breweries. He even worked together with his sister, Rebekah, and started a clothing brand for tailored suits. It was widely rumored that Elijah was the one running the entire conglomeration of Mikaelson subsidiaries. He was rarely seen out and about in public, keeping himself far from the spotlight, seeming rather content to let his siblings be front and center.
You were no stranger to the more reclusive type, there were plenty of millionaires you had worked for in the past that stayed indoor as often as possible, many of them incredibly uptight about punctuality and routine. You had expected the same of Elijah when you first came to work for him.
Surprisingly enough, he was anything but. You had met him on your first day. He had been the one to open the door, held out his hand, and greeted you cordially. He then escorted you to his retiring housekeeper, Philomena, and left the two of you for some meeting or other.
Over the transition period of learning the in's and out's of the Mikaelson home, you had come to learn a bit more about the family. Most all the children had homes of their own, besides Henrik, who still lived with their mother and father, but many of them would stay over at each other's houses quite often. The siblings whose homes were occupied a majority of the time were Elijah's and Klaus'.
After a few weeks of taking over as housekeeper, you met the siblings one after the other.
The first was Rebekah, though you had already tehnically met, seeing as she was the one to hire you. She had entered the home one morning and asked for Elijah. You had told her that he had stepped out for an early brunch with several investors regarding the opening of another winery. The beautiful blonde model sighed at the news and muttered that it 'couldn't be helped'. She then had you sit on one of the plush couches in the living area as she brought in a rack of gowns and asked you to pick which suited her better.
It had been a bizarre morning for you but you had enjoyed the time you spent with the young woman. You learned that she used these mini-runway sessions as an excuse to visit her siblings. She mostly dropped in on Elijah or Klaus, the two brothers she was closest with, but she did occasionally visit the others.
That day you had seen a sight you would not soon forget. Once Elijah came home and caught sight of his sister, a bright, wide smile spread across his lips, his face lit up instantly, and he looked years younger. You were awestruck.
He was never completely devoid of emotion, but many of the smiles he had shot your way had been cordial and polite. To see his face smooth over and relax the way it had with his little sister, you felt your heart skip a beat at the sight.
You prepared a special meal that day, to celebrate Rebekah's visit. Rebekah's words of praise at the delicious meal had that wonderful feeling spread through you. Your beaming smile at the blonde distracted you from noticing Elijah's own eyes from staring at you with curious wonder.
Klaus had visited a week later after Rebekah's departure. You had helped him lug in his 12 foot canvases to the studio room you cleaned out every other week. Thankfully, you cleaned it a day before the brother's arrival, earning an appreciative nod from the man as he went about setting up his work space. Over the next few days, you catered to the artist, bringing him his meals and any other items he required. When Elijah was present, Klaus would step away from his paintings, and the two would mainly spend their time in the library, either playing chess, reading, or discussing various topics regarding their respective businesses.
The two had such differing personalities that it was amazing to see how they balanced each other. Klaus seemed to act out of impulse. You had heard him yelling every now and again to someone on the phone but Elijah's calm demeanor seemed to counteract his little brother's short fuse.
On the last night of Klaus's visit, the blonde man had retired to his room earlier that day. Seeing it as your opportunity to tidy the studio room a bit, you carefully entered. You went about sweeping and mopping the floors, organizing the brushes and towels he had left scattered around. Once you had finished, you finally took a moment to actually look at the paintings that surrounded the room. It was safe to say that Klaus was far more talented than you originally believed. You stared in wonder at the majestic landscapes depicted on the canvas.
It was in this enraptured trance that Elijah had caught you. The door to the studio hadn't been shut completely, allowing the fumes from the paint to escape. He had just been on his way to his office when he had noticed the light on in the room. He had merely gone to glance inside to make sure his little brother hadn't just forgotten to turn off the light. Then he saw you.
You were staring at the painting Niklaus had finished. Your eyes were shining in amazement, and your mouth agape with awe. And Elijah couldn't help but smile. As his housekeeper, you and he communicated quite often, but there was a distance that couldn't be breached due to your position and because of that, he only ever saw you focused on your duties, polite and respectful responses to his questions and requests. Your professionalism only seemed to drop when you interacted with his siblings. And there was a part of him that was envious of them.
He had left the scene very shortly after watching you for a moment, slightly embarrassed at his blatant ogling. You were none the wiser to his presence that night.
Freya, Kol, and Finn arrived in one fell swoop. You had been surprised, only having expected to meet each Mikaelson one by one. Finn and Freya were warm in their greetings. Kol, while still polite, was the more aloof one of the trio. You had the sense that he was very wary of outsiders. From your observations while they resided in the estate, Kol seemed to thrive on the attention and praise of his siblings. He was an incredibly smart person, intuitive and thinking outside the box for solutions to problems. You noticed that he stuck very closely to his older sister and brother and how he would retaliate verbally more harshly toward Elijah or against Klaus and Rebekah if they were mentioned in some form or another. You soon realized that his aloof persona was really a shield to hide away his own insecurities. He craved validation from his siblings and wanted to feel just as loved as he so fiercely loved them. His combative nature toward Elijah, Rebekah, and Klaus seemed to be more out of jealousy at their bond with one another than actual contempt.
Having realized that, you treated him with more care than the rest. He didn't trust you but kept a close eye on you during his stay with his siblings. He would flirt with you, not because he was interested, it was a tactic for him to get you flustered, wanting you to slip up whatever facade he believed you had going on. But you were not that easily shakeable. You knew he was worried for his family. You'd heard plenty of stories of previous hired help around the home and how some had the audacity to try and steal from the Mikaelsons. Kol was just looking out for Elijah—and by extension the rest of his siblings—in his own way.
It was only when you had shown interest in a particular project that he and Freya had undertaken, did he start to warm up to you. The two had discovered ruins in the outskirts of a small village in El Salvador. Freya had sent an advance team ahead to secure the perimeter and begin initial survey's of the terrain for the main archeological team. Kol and she had been seated in their office, piles of books surrounding them with maps and charts pinned to the myriad of cork boards they had covering the walls of the office.
You had been bringing them a pot of tea, Finn trailing behind you holding a tray of cookies to go along with the prepared drink. As you laid the two trays on the emptiest looking portion of the desk, you caught sight of a map of El Salvador, a red circle encompassing their purported dig site.
"Oh, are you going to be digging near El Boquerón?"
Freya and Kol abruptly paused their discussion and turned their heads to you. Freya saw you eyeing the map and nodded, "Yes, that's correct. You know the place?"
You looked up from the map and sheepishly stepped away, "Uh, I was really interested in ancient civilizations during high school. I read a lot of books talking about various indigenous cultures in Central and South America. I really ended up focusing on Mayan nations and sub cultures that formed in remote locations. I know that there was a section of indigenous people in El Salvador known as the Pipil."
You pointed to the red circle on the page, "This area was devastated by a volcanic eruption in the late 1910's. The lake that was once there completely disappeared and many of the homes of the people there was completely burned or melted away by the lava."
Freya and Finn practically beamed at the information you were providing them. Kol tried hard not to look impressed with your knowledge. The three were quick to bring you into their discussion from that point. Asking if you knew anything about the climate there and the terrain they may face.
Elijah came in later that day to find the four of you huddled around Freya's laptop, an image of an item resembling a ceramic jar, half buried in the dirt. Again, a pang of envy coursed through him at the sight of you chatting away so freely with his brothers and sister.
But a bigger part of him was overjoyed to see how well his family had taken to you. Philomena, while a phenomenal housekeeper, had kept to herself and never connected with him, nor his siblings, on a personal level.
You were something special.
He looked on silently as you continued to point out different portions of the computer image. The moments of jealousy that coursed through him were unexpected but not wholly unwelcome. It told him that there was something he wanted to explore with you—only if you wanted to as well, of course—and that the time for distance was to come to an end.
He wanted to know you more, the same way his siblings had gotten the privilege to over these last few months.
Elijah was eager to learn more about his dear housekeeper.

I’ve been hesitant to write stuff like this, despite the fact that I write fics like this just for me all the time, but I’m glad to know I’m not he only depraved person here. I hope this is everything you want it to be.

Klaus never meant to find her in the first place.
Klaus found out who his real father was when he was 6, his mother had to tell the truth so that he wouldn’t be alone when he first began turning. Werewolves shift for the first time during puberty. Klaus’ father was a very good teacher, and treated the boy much better than Mikael, so Klaus enjoyed their time together. He began shifting at 11, the full moons being something he can’t resist and it took another few years for him to gain control during them but by the time he was 14 he was spending all night every full moon running with his pack…until he turned 16.
Y/n had moved to town 2 weeks earlier and while Klaus quite liked her, she was almost instantly popular and he knew he had no shot. That full moon however his wolf didn’t give him a choice, Klaus had thought he was insane for hearing his wolf talking about her in his head (his wolf never really caring for anyone before) but here he sits, fully shifted, in the woods behind her house as she does her homework in the shed which seems more like a bedroom from what he can tell from the window.
He couldn’t control his paws for the first time in years as his wolf brought him here and now he refused to leave, staring at Y/n in awe. Klaus could practically feel his cock swelling desperately as he stared at her and it seemed his whines were too loud when her head snapped up and she moved to the door to peek outside.
Once again Klaus couldn’t move as he tried to keep her from seeing him but his wolf said “no” very clearly when his feet wouldn’t move. ‘Holy shit!’ She gasped, lunging back as she saw him staring at her, the abnormally large wolf clearly startling her. ‘Um…hi? Are you okay?’ She asked and Klaus had to remind himself that she doesn’t know who he is and wasn’t actually asking him, though he found it touching that she was asking his wolf if he was alright…his girl is so sweet. ‘Are you hungry?’ She spun around to go back inside and while he knew she would come back he once again couldn’t stop as he walked into the small shed (that he took up nearly a quarter of), making her gasp as she turned around. ‘Don’t hurt me, please?’ She pleaded softly as if to not startle him and he shook his head. ‘Woah…do…do you understand me?’ He dropped his chin in a nod and her jaw fell, dropping the bag of chips to the floor where he licked a few from the plastic and ate them before sitting down. ‘So you’re an overly large wolf that can understand me and answer my questions…cool. Okay Y/n, don’t panic.’
Klaus whined, creeping closer and resting his big head on her lap which caused her to gasp but she didn’t push him away, taking a moment before petting his head and beginning to scratch behind his ears. He whined again, rolling onto his back on the floor and waiting for her to rub his belly and he wasn’t sure if it shocked her or him more.
‘You’re such a sweet boy, aren’t you?’ Now Klaus understands why dogs love this so much, belly rubs feel incredible!
He ended up laying beside her on her bed while she did the homework Klaus still hadn’t done himself and every now and again she would take a break to give him scratches. He was actively ignoring his pack searching for him but there was something about this girl that pulled him in, and not just him but his wolf.
Y/n drifted off somewhere around 1 am and he stayed there with her, she hadn’t needed a blanket as she wrapped her arms around his body and eventually he drifted off as well. It wasn’t until 4:30 that he awoke again knowing he was close to changing back and woke her to let him out. He knew she was waiting for him to come back and it hurt his heart but he couldn’t and this time his wolf begrudgingly listened to him, running back home before he shifted back. He ran back to the home he stayed in with his father since he had turned 10, finding his phone and not taking but 2 minutes to find her on Instagram and spending the next 20 minutes looking through her pictures, his wolf howling in his head as he saw her again. It was at that point that his father walked into the house, a questioning look on his face.
‘Would you like to tell me where you were?’ He asked and Klaus settled himself to be screamed at before explaining exactly what had happened tonight. ‘Oh my boy, you’ve found your mate. Congratulations!’ He grinned, clapping Klaus on the shoulder. He had heard the term ‘mate’ a few times since meeting his father but not often and he didn’t really know what it meant. ‘Every wolf has a mate, their other half, though we’re not all lucky enough to meet them this young, you have truly been blessed son-‘
‘Blessed?! How have I been blessed?! A girl like her will never give me the time of day! She’s pretty, and popular, and perfect! I’m just a freak who’s only friend is the howling animal in my head!’ His dad rolled his eyes, finding his sons excuses to be stupid and pointless.
‘Klaus, our mates are our mates for a reason, they’re perfect for us. Popular or not, that doesn’t matter, she will feel it too. Not quite as strong as you do until you’re mated, but she will. Trust your wolf, he knows what he’s doing, and he knows what he needs. He is driven to care for and protect his mate, she will notice you eventually, I promise. She’s also the only non-pack member you’ll ever be able to tell about what you are, she is your mate and that makes her family. Try not to worry Niklaus, I’m sure she’ll be yours soon enough.’ With that his father told him to go to bed, always taking him in for a half day after a full moon so that he could get some sleep. All he saw was her though, his perfect little mate staring back at him with a smile on her face.
He dreamed of her arms wrapped around him again, a comforting warm feeling of having his mate snuggle up with his wolf…his dream turning much less innocent quickly when it comes to his wolfs desperation to rut his mate and while he had never imagined it before, it’s all he could think about now, his perfect little mate presenting herself for him, tasting her perfect little cunt before mounting her and-
He jumped up in his bed as his alarm went off, groaning at the raging erection he was going to have to deal with before getting up to get in the shower.
The half day was long as he was so tired, but at least he got to see her, staring at her in the library as they all worked on a book report that Klaus couldn’t give less of a shit about. It wasn’t until the end of the day after that, that he saw her again and Klaus felt his feet moving without his consent again. As he tried to stop he was overcome by the growl in the back of his head and the sound of his father telling him to trust his wolf. He was stood at the bottom of the stairs when he finally stopped, hearing a squeal before he looked up and thanked God for his wolfy reflexes as he opened his arms and caught his mate as she tripped down the last few steps. He held her to his chest and they both froze, looking into each others eyes as if in a trance, Klaus’ wolf howling in his head at having his mate in his arms and her seeing those eyes from last night all over again…but that’s impossible.
‘What the fuck? Put her down you freak!’ A voice snapped and just before a hand grabbed onto Y/n, Klaus placed her on her feet and grabbed the hand, twisting it painfully away from her.
‘Oh God! You are really strong, aren’t you?’ She asked him and all Klaus could do was blush.
‘You fucking freak, you are gonna pay for that.’ The jock that Klaus had never bothered to learn the name of snapped.
‘Sean! That’s enough! He saved me, stop behaving like a caveman!’ His mate was…sticking up for him?
She’s adorable when she’s angry.
‘Thank you, um…it’s Klaus, isn’t it?’ He nodded his head and she smiled. ‘I’m Y/n. Thank you Klaus, you just saved me some major embarrassment…and probably a few injuries.’
‘You’re welcome Y/n.’ Sean threw his arm around Y/n’s shoulder and pulled her away before she could say anything else and Klaus glared back at him, hating the asshole that gets to touch his mate, that should be him!
By the time Klaus got home he was ready to collapse into bed and call it a night, even if he’d only been at school half a day. That’s when his phone chimed and he looked down to see he had a new follower on his Instagram. He saw Y/n’s page shining back at him and a notification that he had a message from her, opening it to see a phone number. His stomach was doing somersaults as he quickly saved the number and texted it, her name and a question mark as if she would give him someone else’s number.
Mate: Who else would it be🤣
Her response put him at ease as he messaged her back again, and she promptly answered him. They spent the rest of the night like that, texting back and forth, getting to know each other and he couldn’t believe the fact that his father was so right!
They texted through the next few days before they decided to hang out, Y/n coming to Klaus’ place after school on Friday and spending time together for the first real time since he was a wolf. Speaking of wolves.
‘You have a lot of wolf stuff in your house.’ She commented as she looked around the living room and they did, decorations and carvings, their pack emblem being almost everywhere.
‘Yeah, it’s kind of a family thing I guess. If it freaks you out we can go to my room.’
‘No, it doesn’t freak me out, I like wolves…we can go to your room though.’ She shrugged and he thanked God for his abilities again because he could smell just how nervous she was. He didn’t understand how she came off so calm and relaxed while she was so nervous, but he admired it. He took her hand, leading her through the house and up the stairs to his bedroom. His fathers room was the entirety of the basement so Klaus had the master bedroom which he loved, having to share a room with Kol his whole life until he moved here at 10. ‘Wow! This is huge!’ Klaus smiled, sitting down on his bed with her beside him as she looked around. ‘You have a lot of art work, do you paint a lot?’ He nodded.
‘Yeah, it’s a hobby. I hoped to go to school for it but I already have a job here lined up after school so I get to just keep doing it whenever I want.’ She smiled at that.
‘That cool. It’s nice that you know what you’re gonna do…I don’t want to go to college, I’m garbage at school and I know I’m just gonna flunk out but my parents insist. I have savings and they want me to use that to pay for the first few semesters and then go into debt after so that I can get a job that will suffocate me for the rest of my lifeI’m sorry…I don’t know why I just told you that.’ She blushed a deep shade of red and his wolf howled in the back of his head, pushing him to comfort her.
‘It’s okay, I…I like that you’re so comfortable around me. If you don’t want to go to school then don’t, use the money to figure out what you want…maybe you’ll know by the time we’re done school.’ He shrugged but she shook her head.
‘I doubt it…I’ve always felt like my parents just want rid of me. I’m their last kid and once I’m gone they’re done, they’re shit parents already anyway but…I always wanted a real family, one that just feels comfortable and safe, you know?’ He nodded right away.
‘Honestly I do. My dads family is like that for me, once I moved away from my mom and step dad I felt so much better, this place is…home.’
‘I’m glad you have that Klaus. You deserve it.’ He hugged her to his side and she rested her head on his shoulder.
‘You do too.’
He quickly found out that Sean wasn’t Y/n’s boyfriend which he thanked the Gods for, giving him the chance to ask her out himself and he did. Since that first weekend at his house they spent almost every day together and he took her on dates every weekend, loving that he got to make his girl feel special. He wanted to give her everything. Klaus knew that Y/n wasn’t the normal girl their age, she didn’t want to attend college or get a fancy job, even if she never said it out loud he knew she just wanted to be safe and loved for the first time in her life. It’s what he had wanted before finding out what he was too and he knew that’s why she was his perfect mate, and he wanted so badly to give her that. To give her a home and a family, to protect his mate the way he was driven to and he thanked the Gods that she seemed happy around his pack because he knew he could give her everything here.
Klaus spoke to his father about Y/n, and he knew that once they graduate she could come and live with him, he’ll have a job in the pack, his own place on their land and be able to take care of her…as long as she knew about him first. He didn’t know how to go about that though, it’s not a normal conversation to have honestly, he worried for a while about how to tell her but thankfully he didn’t have to. She figured it out herself.
Tumblr media
It had been a month since Klaus had met Y/n and once again his wolf was excited to go and visit his mate, sprinting all the way to her house, seeing her in her room which he now knows is the she-shed out back that she turned into a bedroom so her parents didn’t bother her. He whined as he approached the door, scraping it gently and it opened quickly, her smile growing wide at seeing him.
‘Hey buddy! You came back!’ She moved to let him in and shut the door behind him before turning and petting his head gently but still cautiously. ‘Where have you been, huh? I was starting to think it was all a dream.’ He hopped onto the bed beside her and ate the cheese puffs she fed him for a few minutes before she reached for her phone. ‘Klaus is never gonna believe this.’ She spoke, FaceTiming him quickly and he watched her face fall when he didn’t answer. ‘He always answers, he answers me at 3am, what the hell?’ She tried again and once again he didn’t answer. ‘I hope he’s okay…’ Klaus felt guilty for not being able to answer her but what could he do? He just wanted to stay right here and snuggle up next to his mate. He laid his head down on her lap, smelling the heavy scent of her crotch right next to his nose and suppressing the response his body desperately wants to have. He could suddenly smell fear coming off of Y/n and he looked up to see her staring right back at him with a weird look on her face. ‘…Klaus?’ She asked and he felt his eyes widen and his ears go flat against his head. ‘You have the same eyes…you don’t answer your phone…the wolf can understand me and it’s a full moon every time you show up-Oh My God!’ She jumped from the bed and moved for the door making him lunge in front of her to stop her from leaving. She backed away slowly, clearly scared of how he was going to react so he whined, laying down on the floor and covering his nose with his paws as if to show her that he won’t hurt her and she seemed to agree to calm down, sitting back on her bed and staring at him. ‘Werewolves are real…cool…that’s cool, right? I mean it could be worse…’ he whined, nuzzling under her arm and making her scratch him. ‘Okay, I’ll chill out.’ She laughed, scratching his neck until he rolled over and enjoyed a belly rub once again. ‘This is the strangest thing I think I’ve ever done, I’m rubbing my boyfriends belly.’ He didn’t notice right away, enjoying the scratching that she was giving him though he realized quickly when she gasped and pulled away from him that she could see his erection coming out at the wonderful feeling she was giving him and he quickly jumped up. ‘It’s okay Nik, it’s not a big deal.’ She said, moving to touch him but he leaned away. ‘Hey, it’s not your fault, do I look upset?’ She didn’t, she looked as understanding as she always did and he both loved and hated it. ‘I don’t get upset when you’re human and it happens, why would I get upset now? Now let me rub your belly, come here.’ He rolled back over and did as she asked, enjoying the belly rubs she continued giving him. ‘It doesn’t hurt, does it? Like do you…do you need help?’ Did he hear her right? Did she just offer to help with his erection while he’s a wolf? He whined, feeling his cock begin to throb even harder as he pictured his mate with her hand wrapped around his red, swollen cock. He looked up at her as she stared at it before shrugging and reaching out to touch it, her fingers grazing down it before taking it in her hand and pumping it gently. His tongue flopped out of his mouth and he was panting like crazy as his cock just got bigger the more needy he got, his hips thrusting up into her hand and prompting her to move faster. ‘I’m not hurting you, right?’ He shook his head quickly from where it rested against her thigh. ‘It’s really hot…’ It was only another second of her stroking him before his cock began shooting out a truly impressive amount of cum. ‘Oh Fuck!’ She stroked him through it before using tissues to clean the mess off of her. ‘I can honestly say I did not see this being how my night went.’
It took a moment for him to begin thinking clearly again, feeling as if his wolfs mind was overtaken by the lustful ecstasy she had given him, staring up at her in awe before licking her face and making her giggle like crazy. His nose then trailed down her top, smelling her deeply and knowing how wet she is, practically tasting it on his tongue already making him whine and sit back to look at her.
‘No, it’s okay. You don’t need to-Ah!’ He cut her off, biting onto her pajama pants and pulling her forward quite hard, her whole body jerking with his firm yank. ‘Holy Shit, you’re strong! Okay! But no teeth!’ She warned and he rolled his eyes. Klaus may not have ever done this in his human body before but he did understand that she wouldn’t take kindly to teeth against her pussy…especially wolf teeth. She was dripping as she removed her panties, leaning back against her pillows awkwardly. He really wanted to be human right now and enjoy eating her out for the first time while he had opposable thumbs but he would be happy with this. ‘Klaus, you know you don’t have to-Oh Fuck!’ She shouted as he licked his long tongue straight up her cunt, lapping at her roughly. She tasted like magic on his tongue and he knew he would never get enough of this making him wonder if she would continue letting him eat her out as a human. ‘Don’t stop! Never Fucking Stop! Oh God!’ He buried his long tongue into her hole as far as he could, his cold nose nudging against her clit and making her hips jump hard before he flinched back, watching her body go rigid as she came, squirting a bit onto the blanket covered bed. ‘Fuck, I’m sorry-‘ she was startled as he cut her off with a growl, not liking the idea of an apology for something so perfect and sexy before he licked at her pussy again, tasting her even stronger than before. ‘Okay, too much...Come here and snuggle.’ She instructed, pulling a fluffy blanket over her half covered body before stripping off the top layer and just laying there naked. With that he nuzzled back into her arms, feeling her hold onto his fur.
Y/n spent the rest of the night snuggled up against him asking every yes or no question she could think of since he couldn’t really answer her, she asked all she could about werewolves and him and his family but never once did she say anything about how she feels about any of it…or him.
Klaus left at the same time as last time, her scratching his ears and yawning a ‘goodbye’ before watching him run off and as soon as he got home and shifted back he jumped into the shower, getting ready for school and completely forgoing any kind of sleep. He ran passed his father who was taking a nap on the couch and made his way to school a bit too early, waiting for Y/n to get there, texting her repeatedly but not getting an answer.
The longer he waited the more sick he felt, she was always at school no matter how much she had slept…and she always answered him…
He felt like he was being a bit stupid for being so worried but he couldn’t help it. He had never told anyone his secret before, not even his family, and now that she knows the only thing he can seem to picture is her telling him that she can’t see him anymore, that she’s afraid of him, that he’s a monster and she regrets ever letting him touch her…he needs to see her.
He never walked into the school as she never arrived, running back through the woods all the way to her house and trying to peek into her room only to find the blinds shut. Klaus knew he shouldn’t just walk in but he needs to see her, the near constant growl in the back of his head now controlling his actions. His wolf had never controlled his human body before but it feels as if he is when he can’t stop his legs from taking him to her doorstep or his fingers from reaching for the handle. He opened her door to see it was unlocked which was odd and he immediately thought she must be in the house or gone but when he peeked in he saw her asleep in her bed, clearly unconscious. ‘Y/n? Princess?’
‘Mmhmmm…’ she hummed and he smiled. ‘Finally…come snuggle me.’ She held her arms out tiredly, moving over and making room for him to crawl in where he had been snuggled up an hour before. He locked her door, dropping his bag and stripping to his boxers before he climbed in. ‘Why didn’t you come when I texted?’ She asked, clearly still half asleep.
‘You didn’t text me Princess, I’ve been texting you.’ He picked up her phone and opened it to see a message typed out.
Just come back when you can and skip with me, too tired to go to school.
‘Y/n, you never sent it.’ He chuckled and she giggled, snuggling into his warm chest and pulling the blankets around him more. ‘Y/n?’ He questioned and she grunted. ‘You’re not afraid of me, are you?’ Her eyes flew open and she moved to look down at him with an aggravated look on her face.
‘Seriously? You think I would have let you in here, and let you stay the whole night talking to you if I was scared? Invited you back?’ He shook his head and she leaned down, nose to nose with him. ‘You think I would have touched your cute little cock if I was afraid?’ His eyes widened and he growled playfully, pulling her against him tightly and pressing his lips to hers.
‘Thank you…I just needed to hear you say it.’ He admitted. Klaus had never been vulnerable with anyone but with Y/n it was easy…it was comfortable. She felt safe to him, as safe as he felt to her.
‘I love you Nik. And I would never tell anyone if that’s your next worry.’ He shook his head.
‘It wasn’t. I trust you.’
‘Good. Now go to sleep wolf boy. I’ll ask the rest of my questions later.’
‘Good. By then it will be time for you to meet my family.’

TVD AND KLAROLINE FANS I HAVE A FANFIC IDEA (if this fanfic does exist, I apologize ahead of time, but please do send me the link if it does exist)
Alright, so imagine if Klaus and Caroline were already in a relationship together, and Klaus had to deal with things in New Orleans (as always) and the Mikaelsons desperately want to meet Klaus's new girl that's got him completely whipped (you seriously can't tell me otherwise that the man isn't whipped)
Klaus obviously protested against it considering the dangers they were facing, but then things started getting bad, so the smartest sibling, Elijah, summoned Caroline, and she joined in on the Mikaelson New Orleans family chaos while keeping klaus from murdering his family which BTW scored a LOT of points from the other Mikaelsons.
I strongly believe Rebekah would be jealous that she is no longer Klaus's favorite but is grateful that Caroline can keep his distracted. Marcel immediately likes her and sees her as a mother figure, like he sees Klaus as a father figure and would definitely make mom and dad jokes. Elijah already loves her and has great respect for her for putting up with his brother. Kol and Davina are more impressed than someone led this long with Klaus without getting killed. Same thing with Hayley.
Of course, Hayley would not be the only bride in New Orleans, but the Mikaelsons are definitely throwing a great wedding for Caroline and Klaus. Plus, I think Hayley and Jackson would both respect Caroline more than Klaus and always go to her when it comes to supernatural politics.
Freya would definitely like her but at the same time be a little jealous since all of the family are in love with her
(Like I said, if this fanfic does exist, PLEASE SEND ME THE LINK OR POINT ME IN THE DIRECTION OF THE FANFIC! I NEED IT!!!
Also, Klaus and Caroline give me such a mafia boss and his wife mixed with beauty and the beast vibe)

Crimson Frost {Part Two}
Tumblr media
18+ ---- {Masterlist} {Tag-List}
Part Two
After the raid on your village you are separated from your little sister and your betrothed Niklaus, not knowing if they are alive or dead. Holed up in a hut with Elijah during a raging snowstorm, you train and prepare to hunt down the Blackthornes. Meanwhile, Niklaus, Kol and Rebekah have found safe haven in a nearby village, the leader Ansel provides all he can.
♡♡ Sorry for the wait on this one! ♡♡
5.5k words - Warnings: Viking AU where the Mikaelsons are completely human (no magic, werewolves, vampires... etc) lots of death and violence, sprinkle of norse mythology... a little bit of smut in this part but I won't spoil who.
{Part One} {Part Three} {Part Four} {Part Five}
Tumblr media
You woke to the sound of wind howling and the creaking of the roof beams, it was still dark and the fire had burned low, the chill was already creeping in.
You got up and went over to the window, looking out onto the white landscape, the snow was coming down fast, and you could barely see the tree line.
"Elijah," you nudged him awake, "the storm, it's bad."
He sat up, rubbing his eyes and stretching, "We won't be able to travel today." He said, moving to stoke the fire, "I'll go out and get more wood. We'll need it if we want to make it through the day."
He got dressed and grabbed his ax, "Stay here, I won't be long."
"I can help, we need food as well," you offered, grabbing your coat and boots.
"No, it's too dangerous, you could get lost, or worse," Elijah said.
"I'll be fine, I can handle myself," you argued, the memory of Einar's attack still fresh in your mind.
"It's not just about the danger, there's also the wolves, they'll be out hunting," Elijah explained, his tone serious.
"I am not a child anymore Elijah, you cannot boss me around, I can hunt and fight as well as any man," you huffed, crossing your arms.
"I know, I saw the way you fought off those raiders. You are a true warrior, worthy of the gods," Elijah smiled, his eyes shining with admiration.
"I'm also good at hunting rabbits," you said with a smile, picking up a old bow that was leaning against the wall.
Elijah sighed, you were stubborn like Niklaus, and he knew there was no point in arguing.
"Alright, but stay close, and keep an eye out for wolves, they're more cunning than you think," he warned.
"I can handle wolves," you smirked.
You bundled up and followed Elijah outside, the cold air nipping at your skin. You didn't go far before you found deer prints in the snow, they were fresh, and the tracks were deep.
"We're in luck, there's a herd nearby," Elijah whispered, "keep your bow ready, we'll try and take one down."
You nodded, following Elijah's lead. You stalked through the forest, your footsteps silent.
You saw a large stag ahead, his antlers standing tall and proud. He was beautiful and a part of you wished to leave it be, but you knew you had to feed the both of you.
Elijah made the signal and you let your arrow fly, it hit the stag in the neck, and he went down, the herd scattering.
The two of you spent the better part of the day tracking down and killing a couple of does and a few rabbits. It was hard work, but the thrill of the hunt and the success of a good kill made it worth it.
The snow was still falling, and you could see the storm was only getting worse. The game you hunted would last you a good while and you set to work preparing it, hanging the meat and skinning the hides.
Elijah worked beside you, helping you cut and dry the meat, his hands steady and sure. You were both silent, lost in your thoughts. You always wondered about Niklaus' mysterious older brother, the rest of the Mikaelson siblings you had grown up with, with the exception of Finn, who had always kept to himself. But Elijah was the enigma of the family. He was quiet and reserved, but there was a strength and determination in him, you could see it in his eyes.
You wondered why he had never married, why he was still alone. He was handsome and strong, any woman would be lucky to have him.
"Why haven't you taken a wife?" You blurted out, the words leaving your mouth before you could stop them.
Elijah looked up, a small smile on his face, "Is that a question you ask everyone, or is it just me?"
You felt your face heat up, and you ducked your head, embarrassed, "Forgive me, I did not mean to offend."
"It's quite alright," Elijah chuckled, "I never found the right person, I suppose."
"You are a good man, any woman would be lucky to have you," you smiled, turning back to the venison you were cutting.
"Thank you, but I fear I am too boring for most women," Elijah laughed, his tone light and playful.
"Oh, I don't know about that, you seem quite interesting to me," you teased, glancing at him from the corner of your eye.
"I am honored to have such a high opinion from you," Elijah smirked, his eyes shining with mischief.
You both finished the venison, and you hung the hides to dry, the sun was setting and the temperature was dropping.
"We should go inside, the storm is getting worse," Elijah said, his brow furrowed in concern. "I worry our lovely horse may be a bit difficult to dig out in the morning."
You laughed and shook your head, "I'm sure she'll be just fine. She's a tough one."
The two of you walked back to the cabin, the wind whipping around you, the snow stinging your skin, you were freezing.
You hurried inside and started the fire, the warmth slowly returning to the small space. The wind was really howling outside, the trees swaying wildly, the sound of almost deafening.
"Do you think the others made it? Where would they have gone," you asked, unable to stop your mind from wandering.
"They'll be alright, they're smart and strong," Elijah reassured you, "they've probably made it to the neighboring village, the leader there knows my mother," he added, his voice quiet.
You could hear the worry in his voice, the unspoken fears, his siblings, your sister, were they safe, were they alive?
The two of you settled in for the night, the storm showing no signs of slowing. You huddled close to the fire, the blankets wrapped tightly around you, trying to keep warm. The cold had seeped into your bones, and Elijah noticed the way you trembled.
"Come here," he said, wrapping an arm around you and pulling you close, his body pressed against yours.
You were stiff and hesitant, but the warmth of his body and the comfort of his embrace made you relax, the tension slowly melting away.
"It's not proper, us being this close," you whispered, your cheeks flushing.
"I'm not the one who has to worry about being proper," he joked, his breath tickling your ear, "besides, we're not doing anything wrong, just sharing our body heat,"
You giggled, his words easing your nerves, "I suppose you're right,"
The two of you sat like that for a while, the fire crackling and the wind howling, the sounds of the storm filling the room.
"When this storm breaks we should make for the coast," Elijah said, breaking the silence, his hand causally rubbing your arm, the heat of his touch causing strange sensations within you.
"Why not the village? Where the rest could be?" You asked, looking up at him, his face illuminated by the fire.
"The Blackthornes will take their thralls to the coast, to ship them off and sell them. They're brutal, but smart, they'll want to get rid of them as quickly as possible, before word gets out," Elijah explained, his voice grim.
"Gerda.. She's just a child," you whispered, tears welling in your eyes, the thought of your baby sister being sold like cattle making you sick.
"Henrik will protect her the best he can, he has a warriors heart," Elijah said, his voice cracking a bit at the thought of his baby brother. He was only ten summers and had barely learned to fight.
You nodded, the tears flowing freely now, "I- I can't lose them. I can't lose her,"
Elijah pulled you closer, his arms wrapping around you, his hands stroking your hair, "We'll find them, we'll save them. I swear it on the gods."
The two of you stayed like that, wrapped in each other's embrace, the warmth of the fire and the closeness of his body providing a small measure of comfort. You feared that maybe you were the only two left alive, that everyone else had perished in the raid.
"What if we don't find them, what if we're too late," you whispered, your voice shaking, the weight of the situation weighing heavily on you.
"Then we will avenge them," Elijah said, his tone solemn, "we will make those bastards pay for what they've done."
You nodded, staring into the flames, the drums of war beating in your mind. You would fight until the last drop of blood, for your people, for your family.
Tumblr media
In the following weeks Elijah took it upon himself to train you to fight.
The two of you trained every day, honing your skills and pushing each other to the limits.
Elijah was a relentless and patient teacher, never letting up, always demanding more. And you were a willing student, eager to learn, and determined to become stronger, faster, better.
You spent countless hours sparring, practicing defense, you had an affinity for wielding two axes, the blades swift and deadly in your hands.
The two of you were well suited as a fighting duo, your strengths complimenting each other, your weaknesses covering for the other.
"Keep your arms up, higher, good," Elijah encouraged as the two of you went through a series of drills, "now, again,"
The two of you circled each other, your axes ready. You lunged, swinging the axe, the blade narrowly missing Elijah's chest. He smiled and brought his shield up, blocking the blow, the sound of metal on wood echoing through the clearing.
"Better," he said, "you're quick, and you have the element of surprise on your side, but you must remember, no matter how good you are, there will always be someone better."
"Like you?" you smirked.
"Maybe a little," Elijah chuckled, his eyes twinkling with mischief.
He stepped forward and swung his axe, the blade singing through the air, you ducked and rolled, coming up behind him to strike him. But he was faster, he flipped you on your back, the blade of his axe pressed against your throat, "Never underestimate your opponent,"
You looked up at him, his eyes locked on yours, his face flushed from the exercise, his breath hot against your skin, "I understand," you whispered, your pulse racing.
You thought about what his lips would feel like against yours, his body pressing you into the soft ground. You had to admit you had become more than attracted to him, he was strong, brave, and smart, he had a way of drawing you in, you had never quite experienced it before, not even with Niklaus.
You wondered if he felt the same, if he ever thought of you, of what it would be like to kiss you, to touch you.
"Do you?," he asked, his voice low and husky.
You swallowed hard, the blade still pressed against your neck, "Yes, I do,"
"Good," he said, his voice a whisper, his eyes full of desire.
He stood and held out his hand, helping you to your feet. You both stood there for a moment, your bodies dangerously close, the tension between you growing thick.
You wanted him, and you could tell he wanted you too. But it was wrong, you were supposed to be his sister-in-law, it was forbidden, taboo.
You were still a maiden, promised to Niklaus. But you knew deep down you did not love him, not like Elijah. You didn't know why the gods cursed you with such feelings, with such a longing for the brother of the man you were promised to.
"Elijah, I-" You started, your voice shaky, the words dying on your tongue.
"Let's go inside, the air is too cold," Elijah said, his voice gentle.
"Y-yes," you nodded, following him inside.
Your heart was racing, your mind a mess, you couldn't believe the things you were feeling, the desires you had. It went against everything you had been taught, it was sinful, it was wrong.
And yet, you could not deny it. You were drawn to him, you longed for his touch, his kiss, his body pressed against yours. You wanted to do things with him that husband and wife do, forbidden things.
But the gods were watching, and they did not take kindly to those who disobeyed their laws. You could not give in to your desires, you had to remain strong, pure, chaste.
Still, you wondered if the gods had a plan for the two of you, if maybe they had destined you to be together. Maybe the gods wanted you to be happy, to have true love in your life.
You watched Elijah stoke the fire, cooking a rabbit over the flames, the scent of it making your stomach growl. You sat on the floor, your knees pulled to your chest, the blanket wrapped tightly around you, a barrier between the two of you.
"How did you know about this place?" You asked, referring to the cabin.
"My brothers and I built it years ago," he said, "We came here to get away, to have some time to ourselves. We would camp and hunt, it was our escape from... the pressures of being a son of a jarl," he added, a wistful smile on his face.
"I heard that Mikael could be a difficult man," you said, knowing that was an understatement.
Elijah didn't say anything, just handed you a piece of the cooked rabbit, his hand brushing against yours. You ate in silence, the crackle of the fire the only sound.
"He could be... cruel," Elijah said, his voice barely above a whisper, his eyes distant, like he was lost in a memory, "there are secrets in my family, things that no one speaks of,"
"Secrets?" You asked, your curiosity piqued.
"Things I cannot talk about," he said, his jaw set, his gaze dark.
You didn't want to press the matter, whatever the secrets were, they were clearly painful for him, you didn't want to force him to relive them.
"I'm sorry," you whispered, reaching out and placing your hand on his.
He looked at you, his expression softening, a sad smile playing on his lips, "It's okay, it's in the past now. What matters is the future, what we do to honor the ones we lost, to protect those who are still with us."
You nodded, his words resonating deep within you, "You're right, we must not dwell on the past, we must focus on the future, on those we love,"
Elijah smiled, his hand squeezing yours, "Yes, the future is all that matters,"
The two of you finished your meal, the silence no longer tense, but comfortable. You helped him clean up and prepare the space for the night, the storm finally letting up.
You got ready for bed, washing yourself in the basin and slipping into a simple linen tunic.
Elijah did the same, and you could not help but admire his body, his lean muscles, his skin smooth and tanned from the sun. You usually looked away, to give him privacy like he did for you, but you were drawn to him, your eyes taking in every inch of him.
He caught you looking and you quickly turned away, your face burning. He laughed, a deep rumbling sound that made your heart flutter.
"Sorry, I was just-" you mumbled, embarrassed.
"Goodnight, y/n. Come dawn we will start tracking the Blackthornes," he said, the playfulness in his voice gone, replaced by the hardened resolve of a warrior.
"Goodnight, Elijah," you replied, curling up on the pallet, the warmth of the fire lulling you to sleep.

The smell of herbs and spices filled the air as Tatia mixed some in a bowl, the healer humming quietly to herself. The young woman was a skilled healer and well-respected in her village.
"There, this should help ease your pain," Tatia smiled at Rebekah, handing her the bowl, the liquid inside warm and soothing.
"Thank you," Rebekah smiled weakly, bringing the bowl to her lips. She winced as she drank, the scar on her face throbbing with pain.
"Careful now," Tatia said softly, "that elixir is strong. You'll want to go slow and make sure you're keeping it down,"
Rebekah nodded and drank slower, the warmth of the brew filling her body and dulling the pain.
Niklaus sat beside Kol, who was sleeping on a cot in the healer's hut, his body bruised and battered from the fight with the Blackthorne raiders. Tatia's eyes met Niklaus', he couldn't help but feel a tingle of warmth spread across his body as he watched the healer's eyes linger on his, there was something about the way she looked at him that made him feel seen, appreciated, as if she could see his pain and anger.
Tatia smiled gently and reached out to touch Niklaus' hand, the simple gesture making his breath catch in his throat, "you have the strength of Odin," she whispered, her voice like a song, "you saved them both from those brutes,"
Niklaus looked up at the woman, her face beautiful, her eyes kind and understanding.
"I-" Niklaus stammered, "I had to, they are my family." He had never felt so at a loss for words before, and he struggled to find the words to describe the pain he was feeling.
"Let me take a look at you," Tatia said gently, "you look like you could use a healing touch yourself,"
Niklaus hesitated, still overwhelmed by the woman's closeness and the connection he felt. Tatia sensed his unease and took his hand, her skin warm against his. "You must be at your full strength for the war to come." She smiled at him and he found himself smiling back, despite the ache in his body.
Tatia motioned for Niklaus to lay down, she pulled up his tunic, taking a look at the wound on his side, the flesh raw and bruised, "It's not too bad," she said softly, her hands gentle as they cleaned and bandaged the wound, "it will become just another scar for you to boast to your wife about," she teased. Niklaus couldn't help but chuckle at her words, a feeling of warmth spreading through him at her touch.
He felt a wave of guilt at the thought of you, his future wife. He wondered how you were doing, if you were safe, if he would ever see you again. Tatia must have sensed his worry, she looked up at him, her eyes soft. "She is strong and fierce, and I am certain she will come back to you,"
Niklaus swallowed hard, his throat thick with emotion. He prayed that Elijah had saved you, that the two of you were somewhere safe, weathering the storm together.
He sighed and nodded, "I know, but it doesn't stop the worry and pain from eating away at me."
"I understand," Tatia said, her fingers tracing along Niklaus' jaw, her touch sending a jolt of warmth through his body, "the bond of family is strong and often the most painful."
Tatia continued her work, cleaning and tending to Niklaus' wounds, the gentle touch of her hands making him feel safe and protected.
"You should speak to our leader, Ansel, when you're feeling better," Tatia said after she finished, "I know he will be interested in meeting you. He will want to hear your story and your plans."
Niklaus nodded, he couldn't help but notice how the young healer's eyes lingered on him as she spoke. "I will, thank you Tatia, you have been more than kind," he said.
"Of course," Tatia said, giving Niklaus one last smile, "you're a special guest here. I knew your mother quite well,"
Tatia's words took Niklaus by surprise, "You did?"
"Aye," Tatia nodded, suddenly avoiding Niklaus gaze, she stood and went to check on Rebekah who had fallen asleep in a chair, the pain of the healing draught helping her rest.
Niklaus stared at her for a moment, wanting to ask more, but deciding to let it go. The young healer was right, he was here on important business, he couldn't afford to let his emotions get in the way. He had to be focused and clear-headed if he was to get his revenge on the Blackthornes. He would need the support of Ansel and his men if he were to succeed.
Kol began to stir, he slowly opened his eyes, groaning with pain as he tried to sit up.
"Careful, Kol," Tatia said softly, placing her hand gently on Kol's arm, "you need to rest,"
"What happened?" Kol said, his voice raspy, he looked around the room, his gaze falling on Rebekah, who was asleep on the chair near the fire, "where Niklaus?"
"I'm here, little brother," Niklaus said, coming to sit by the edge of the bed, "how do you feel?"
"I've been better," Kol chuckled weakly, "I feel like a herd of wild boars trampled over me," he shifted in the bed and winced, Tatia moved quickly to help him get comfortable, the young man gritting his teeth through the pain.
"Try not to move too much, Kol," Tatia said softly, her gaze lingering on him, "your wounds are still fresh."
"Aye," Kol breathed out, the young man's face pale and covered in a sheen of sweat, his brow furrowed in pain, "how long have I been out?"
"Two days," Niklaus said, his voice low, he felt a wave of guilt wash over him as he thought of you, his future bride. He wondered where you were, if you were safe, if Elijah had found you.
"Where is y/n? Elijah?" Kol asked, his voice strained, his eyes filled with worry.
"I don't know," Niklaus said, his voice hoarse, his throat thick with emotion. He swallowed hard and rubbed his temples, the pain of his injuries and his worry for you, his brother, and sister, weighing heavy on him.
Tatia placed a cool cloth on Kol's head, her touch gentle, soothing, "have faith," she whispered, "the gods have not forsaken them."
"Aye," Niklaus said, his gaze fixed on the flames of the hearth, "I must go speak with Ansel,"
Tatia nodded and Niklaus stood, his body aching, his heart heavy. He walked out into the village, the storm having passed, the skies clear and blue.
The villagers were busy repairing their homes, patching roofs and fixing doors, the sounds of axes chopping wood and the shouts of men filling the air. He headed towards the longhouse, his heart racing, he felt a knot in his stomach as he thought of what he was about to do.
He took a deep breath and pushed open the heavy wooden door, the familiar smells of the hall greeting him, ale, meat, and smoke. But it wasn't the same, there was a heaviness to the air, a sadness that he couldn't shake.
Ansel sat at the table, he was sharpening his sword, his expression hard, the man's eyes dark with anger and grief. He looked up as Niklaus approached, his gaze fixed on him, a hint of surprise in his face, "Niklaus Mikaelson, the gods have truly blessed me today," he stood and gripped Niklaus' arm in a warrior's greeting, "I'm sorry for the loss of your loved ones, I knew your mother well. May she rest with the gods in Valhalla,"
"Thank you, Jarl Ansel, it is an honor to meet you," Niklaus said, returning the grip, the man's strength taking him by surprise, "and the gods are merciful. They brought me here, to your village."
Ansel smiled and gestured for him to sit, the older man poured two cups of ale and handed one to Niklaus, "To the gods," he said, raising his cup.
"To the gods," Niklaus repeated, his gaze fixed on the man before him.
"My scouts have informed me that the Blackthornes have been raiding across the land," Ansel said, his voice low, "rounding up our young to sell into slavery."
Niklaus gripped his cup tighter, his knuckles white, "Aye," he nodded, "they took my little brother Henrik and my near sister-in-law Gerda,"
"They are foul creatures," Ansel spat, "they have no honor, no respect for the old ways."
"That's why I've come to you," Niklaus said, his voice firm, "I've come to seek your help in finding them, in saving the people they have taken."
Ansel gave him a sympathetic look, "You have my sympathies, but I cannot take on the Blackthornes," he shook his head, his jaw set, "I need my men here to protect my people,"
Niklaus swallowed hard, he had expected this answer, he felt rage bubbling within him, "I will not stand idly by while those bastards take more people from their families,"
Ansel's expression hardened, "it is the will of the gods, we must accept it,"
"No," Niklaus shook his head, his anger rising, "I will not accept that." He stood, his fists clenched, his heart racing, "I will not accept the gods abandoning us. I will not accept that they have given up on us,"
"Niklaus," Ansel warned, "I am your elder, and the Jarl of this village. You will show me the respect I deserve,"
"Respect?" Niklaus spat, his face twisted with anger, "you're nothing but a coward. You're content to sit here, in your hall, surrounded by your men. But you won't go out and fight."
"It's more complicated than that son," Ansel said, his voice steady, his eyes cold.
"Don't call me son," Niklaus growled, "you're not my father, you're nothing to me."
Ansel chuckled and shook his head, "You remind me so much of your mother. She was just as stubborn and foolish,"
Niklaus took a deep breath, calming himself, he wanted to strike at Ansel. But he thought of Rebekah and Kol, they needed him, he couldn't afford to lose control, not now, not when he was so close to getting the help he needed.
"If you will not help me," Niklaus said, his voice low and dangerous, "then I will find the Blackthornes myself,"
Ansel sighed and rubbed his temples, his jaw set, his expression grim, "I will give you any supplies you may need, and you and your family are welcome to stay here, as long as you need."
Niklaus clenched his fists, he was torn between wanting to accept the man's offer and wanting to strike him down, to make him feel the pain of losing someone.
"I appreciate the offer," Niklaus said, his voice strained, "I wish you could do more for me, but I will take what I can get."
"The gods are not always clear in their will, Niklaus," Ansel said, his voice low and steady, "but I have my people to look out for. Perhaps you will be a Jarl one day, and then you will understand,"
"Perhaps," Niklaus said, the man's words ringing in his head, he turned and left the hall, the anger inside him simmering.
He needed to find you, to find Elijah, to save Henrik and Gerda. Every god there ever was could stand against him for all be cared, he would drag his broken body through the gates of the underworld to save those he loved.

Tatia insisted that Niklaus heal before setting out to find the Blackthornes. She cared for him and his family, ensuring that they had everything they needed.
She took a keen interest in him, her eyes following him, her gaze lingering on him, her touch sending jolts of warmth through his body.
The night before he set off, he sat in her hut, nursing a cup of ale, lost in his thoughts. Tatia hummed softly has she shaved the sides of his head, the young woman's hands deft and sure, the only sounds were the blade and the crackle of the fire.
"Where will you go in search for them?" Tatia asked, her voice low, as she ran the blade along his scalp.
"The coast, I've heard rumors that the Blackthornes are selling slaves in the fishing market there,"
Tatia nodded, "it's a dangerous place, and not a good fate for any young child,"
"I have to try," Niklaus said, his voice heavy with emotion, his throat tight, his chest aching, the pain of losing his parents and brother still raw, the grief weighing on him.
"Of course," Tatia whispered, her voice like a song, her hands gentle as she ran them over his head, checking for any missed patches of hair. She braided the long strip of hair that remained on top, her touch gentle, comforting, "the gods will guide you, Niklaus."
Niklaus nodded, her words echoing in his head. He had always been a devout man, believing in the will of the gods, but lately, he felt lost, adrift, as if the gods had abandoned him, his family, his village.
"Why did the gods allow the Blackthornes to destroy my village?" He whispered, his voice hoarse, the pain and rage within him threatening to overwhelm him, "why did they let my parents die?"
"The gods work in mysterious ways, Niklaus," Tatia said, her voice soft, understanding, "they are not always clear in their will, we must trust them, and have faith that they have a plan."
She finished braiding, her hands sliding over his shoulders, the touch making his heart race. He closed his eyes, leaning into her touch, his mind swirling, his emotions churning. The young healer had a calming effect on him, the tension leaving his body, the rage and pain subsiding, at least for a moment.
She kissed the side of his head, her lips soft, warm, her scent intoxicating, a mixture of herbs and spices. She sat beside him, her hand on his arm, her eyes filled with concern, "You should rest," she said softly, "you have a long journey ahead of you."
Niklaus looked into her dark eyes, she was a singular beauty, one that he could easily lose himself in. He had felt a connection with her since the first moment he saw her, his soul calling out to her, begging him to surrender, to lose himself in her. But he knew he couldn't, he had made a promise, he had a duty to fulfill, he was to marry you.
But you could be dead, his mind whispered. And even if you weren't, there were no guarantees that he would find you, or that you would survive the journey.
And he could die, tomorrow or the next day, on the road, at the hands of the Blackthornes. The world was a dangerous place, and death was always around the corner.
He swallowed hard, his throat dry, his heart hammering in his chest. He pressed his lips against hers, his hands cupping her face, the kiss deepening, the two of them melting into each other.
Niklaus felt a surge of lust, his body aching for her, the desire coursing through him, his mind spinning. He knew this was wrong, that he was betraying you, his future wife, but in this moment, he didn't care. All he wanted was her.
He broke the kiss, his breathing ragged, his eyes burning into hers. His hands went to her waist, lifting her onto his lap, his cock hardening, pressing against her. She wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him, her lips warm and soft.
She rocked her hips against his, the friction sending waves of pleasure through him. He groaned, his fingers digging into her flesh, his need for her overwhelming him.
"Lay with me, before I ride off to Valhalla," he murmured, his voice low and husky.
She nodded, her cheeks flushed, her dark eyes filled with desire. Her hand trailing down his chest, his body tensing at her touch, his blood burning for her.
He picked her up and carried her to her bed, the two of them falling onto the soft furs. Their bodies entwined, the passion and heat between them consuming them.
The guilt and shame Niklaus had felt earlier disappeared as Tatia moaned beneath him, her skin slick with sweat, her body quivering as he brought her to climax.
He kissed her, his tongue dancing with hers, the taste of her, the feeling of her body, soft and yielding, thoughts of you long forgotten.
