reading through discord and just found this message I sent (in one of the language channels):
we have: Kjartan kjører kyllinger skikkelig skrekkelig skamfullt, skjokolade-kjolen kjans (that's a neopronoun made on the spot) skjønte (it's alive ok) Kjartan Skjorteløs. (ok that was just a memey poem)
and while I'm utterly confused as to what I was on about with "skrekkelig" and "skamfullt" cause they don't have a "ch" style sound unlike all the others. Also it's not a [??] correct sentence, also it's weird but whatever. I really enjoy that neo "kjans".
The problem with standard Norwegian pronouns is that they don't have a "kj" sound. Which is why neopronouns are important (besides the basic 1) epic nonbinary, xenogender and/or genderfuckery thing and 2) just neopronoun= cool).
Anyway you all need to start using¹ these pronouns so here's a full set: kjan/kjan/kjans. (based on han/ham, the masc Norwegian pronouns + the name Kjartan (masc name, for me associated with the school book grammar example of the kj sound and thus also chickens, but according to SSB a popular men's name in 1976))
1. I meant as in if you write example sentences or stories, but obviously if you adopt them as your own pronouns that people should use for you that's also super cool

Jan Battermann (1909-1999)
Jan Battermann I recently discovered the works by KJan Battermann at auction. I did not know anything about the artist, but found that he was a master in small graphic works and his oils….some of them impressed me very much. His works appear at auction regularly nowadays and when you consider the prices fetched these are outright cheap. Battermann is believed at this moment to be a “small…

Pakistan PM Imran Khan reshuffles Cabinet on court's directive - Times of India
Pakistan PM Imran Khan reshuffles Cabinet on court’s directive – Times of India
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday reshuffled his Cabinet on the directions of a court that barred un-elected advisers and special assistants from heading the Cabinet committees. This is the fourth Cabinet shakeup since Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) came to power in 2018. The change followed the recent verdict of the Islamabad High Court barring un-elected advisers…

Fake dating with childe entirely because his siblings thought you two were couple and were really excited
-☆
Tumblr media
Reblogs are greatly appreciated !!
!!⠀Feat : Childe x GN! reader
!!⠀## : Fluff, fake dating, meeting the family <3
kjans MMMMMM <33333 I am looking like a wHORE 👀👀
ajhsdas I dunno how old his siblings are so I’m just assuming they’re 13y/o and below bc I’m too tired to switch between teen / preteen / etc. speech patterns HAHAH
Tumblr media
“Brother!” Teucer cheered the moment Childe stepped through the threshold of their home, shaking the snow from his coat and graciously taking yours off of you.
“Teucer, Anthon, Tonia!” He called back just as excitedly, gathering up his younger siblings in his arms once your coat had been hung. It was cute, you thought with a small laugh, they were so excited to see him, and it’s obvious that their brother had been missing them as well.
You were content to let the siblings have their reunion in peace, merely warming your hands in your pockets (wow, Snezhnya was cold) until a small gasp from the ginger pile caught your attention.
“Is that them?” Teucer asked with a gasp, trying to whisper but failing adorably. Beside him, still in Childe’s arms, Anthon and Tonia were looking at you with big, wide eyes, sparkling with wonder like you were some kind of mythical unicorn.
But Childe just grinned, releasing them and standing back up. He easily took your hands back in his, encasing them in the warmth of his palms. “Yup,” he said, his grin turning smug. “This is the person I’m currently dating. Told you guys we could both make it.”
The hall was filled with loud cheers, Childe’s siblings immediately coming closer to you. “H-hi!” Tonia said, waving shyly but with a wide smile, while Teucer and Anthon had taken each of your hands in theirs, prying it out of Childe’s hold as they began to drag you further into their home.
“Brother writes about you all the time!” Anthon said proudly. “Whenever Tonia reads what he sends, there’s always so much to read!”
“Is there really?” You asked with a chuckle, looking back over your shoulder to Childe, who didn’t even look ashamed of it, merely shrugging like, did you expect anything else?
You shook your head with a laugh, and his siblings grinned, taking the opportunity by the throat.
“Uh-huh!” Teucer added. “Ever since he started telling us about you, there’s always another page in his letters!”
“Mom says that we practically know more about his love life than his daily life,” Tonia says, giggling, and you can feel the heat rise in your face once more. Just as another one of his siblings prepares to tattle to you just how often Childe seems to wax poetic in his letters, the man in question swoops in easily, taking your shoulders in a gentle grip and pulling you back against his chest.
“Alright,” he says with faux-seriousness, the quirk in his lips giving him away. His hands on your shoulders squeeze reassuringly, sending heat up your spine. “Embarrass your brother time is over, you three. Tell the others that we’ve arrived–– the two of us have to get ready for a bit, if everyone is excited as you.”
The three pout, but listen to their big brother and go ahead first, calling back that the two of you ‘shouldn’t exchange cooties!’
“They’re cute,” you say when the two of you are alone. Without his siblings around, your smile turns wistful and you don’t feel the need to play a role. Though... you can’t deny that for a little bit, pretending to be together with him hadn’t felt so bad. It certainly helped when he had looked at you so fondly. “I can see why you didn’t want to disappoint them.”
“Thanks again for doing this,” Childe says, either not realizing that he was still holding you, or merely not wanting to let go. “They’re good kids. I don’t have the heart to break it to them that they misread it–– not when they kept asking for you in their letters.”
You laugh lightly, squirming out of his hold, feet carrying you to where the three had disappeared to. “No need to thank me–– I don’t mind. Besides, how bad could dating you for a week be?”
And as Childe watches you venture deeper into his home, he can only hope you hadn’t felt the quick pace of his heart, or the way his breath had hitched when you had been so close to him. Hopefully, he thinks, he’ll be able to make your fake-dating week enjoyable. Enjoyable enough, maybe, that you wouldn’t mind dating him for real.

I’m back on my Sci-Fi. Bit different style for one. Hope it’s not too rambley!
________________________________________
Kjan Captain L’Catu Mrror Haniat had met with the newest, and most exotic, member of their crew in person only minutes ago. It was a old-world Kjan practice that they still stuck to. Bad luck to meet your crew before you sail, preconceived notions and all that. “Don’t count your chickens before they hatch” the Human had interpreted- something about assumptions and hubris. There were clear differences between Humans and any other species they had previously hired, but they had high hopes. Mrror was not one to judge on the basis of origin, though some still had reservations about Humans. They were an intimidating bunch- Predators from a death-world. So far, the Tide-pool had only manned prey species from peace-worlds. So maybe more than just differences, maybe a Human was in direct inverse to anything Mrror had worked with before. And maybe they had forgot some research in favor of archaic traditions! It was nothing they couldn’t handle. The Mechanic had seemed polite enough, and if their nack for body-language was still any good, they seemed nervous, not aggressive. It would be fine, they could work through problems as they arise. They had high hopes.
The door to the cafeteria slid open with a slight grinding noise. That was the first thing Human Mechanic Cyril Walker noted. It made sense, it was his job after all, but he knew that it was mainly an excuse. He was nervous, and was focusing on his work to compensate. He sighed quietly to himself, and subtly tried to shake his nerves. It was always like this with a new ship. Maybe one day he would be so used to it that it wouldn’t bother him, but this was only his third crew, fourth if you counted his apprenticeship. And the first where he was outnumbered- the only human aboard.
But a grinding noise was not going to be enough to save Cyril from the cafeteria. It was late in the day, and he hadn’t eaten quite enough breakfast, or anything for lunch- he was hungry. He would have to meet the rest of the crew eventually, and eat hopefully too. Deep breath, then step inside. It was a wide room, tall too. Given the size of the ship, likely the biggest room aboard. The ceiling opened up into a sky-light that offered a reassuring view of the stars. That was just about the only familiar thing in it. The rest was a jungle. Tables, benches, cushions, and perches filled the space, and filling them were a menagerie of animated forms. Three Ceerrsss lounged around a low table, picking over a tray of incests, plants and what used to be fruit, probably. A veritable flock of H’Ai’Jui-gkk flitted above the crowd to find perches littered though the space, both around and above, cackling to each other restlessly. A handful of Kjan filled in at tables of Lnuc and Poortell. One notable Piegg pushed trays and plates of food to anyone that dared come close to the kitchen counter, huffing amiably and turning back to a handful of pots and ovens on occasion. Cyril twisted his hand into his jacket. God, this felt like high school again.
He came to the realization that it was probably not a good idea to just stand in the door just a second too late. A Lnuc’s hand lighted on his shoulder, and he nearly shouted, whipping around to face them.
“Hey!” They were tall, as most Lnuc are, but Cyril felt nearly dwarfed by the comparison. This was the first time that he had ever seen a Lnuc up close, and the fact that they averaged a good two feet taller that a human was abruptly very important. “You must be that new mechanic Boss was on about! Good to meet you!” The warm brown plates along their back, like dry earth, rattled as they spoke, and it took a second for Cyril to recall that that was a friendly thing for Lnuc. It sounded way too close to a rattle snake in his opinion. They cut in again as he caught his breath “It’s great to have you aboard, always good to have a new face around here.” They straightened slightly, and even though it brought him more out of their field of view, if felt distinctly appraising “Apologies, did I startle you?”.
It took just a second too long for Cyril to respond, in his opinion. “Ah, nope! Well, yes, I’m- yeah, yeah you kinda startled me”. Deep breath, pull it together “Sorry, I’m just a little nervous y’know?”
They rocked lightly on their feet, and slouched back into a comfortable position. “Yeah, first day and all! Promise we aren’t that mean- here, let’s get food and talk”. The rattling paused for a second as they quickly amended “Only if you want to! I don’t know practically any human customs, apologies if that’s rude”
“No, no that sounds great! I don’t really know any Lnuc customs either” or any non-human, he added to himself.
The rattling made a triumphant return, and they rocked forward before leading Cyril forward by his shoulder “Hey, we can learn together! I’m Kolk, might I know your name?”
“Oh, Cyril Walker. Sorry I forgot to introduce myself, He/Him.”
“He/Him?” It came out weird, uninterpreted by the translator probably.
“Oh, sorry that’s an English thing- gendered pronouns. It’s used to refer to people”
“Oh! I didn’t know humans had gender! Should I give you one in return?”
“Pronouns? Uh, sure”
“He/Him then! I just realized I don’t know any others!”
Cyril chuckled. Kolk seemed nice enough, if a bit touchy. He still hadn’t let go of his shoulder. They navigated though the crowd with surprising ease. A few turned to greet him or his guide, but for the most part no body paid them mind. The Piegg greeted them as they approached with a snorting sound. Kolk said hello while taking a tray of various plant matter in shades of green and white, before the cook turned to rummage another plate together for Cyril.
“What do Humans eat if you don’t mind me asking? Lnuc are plant eaters pretty strictly. We don’t do well with many foreign foods either.”
“Humans are omnivores, so a little bit of everything. We can eat a lot of non-Terran foods too, so really anything. So long as it’s not rotten. We are definitely not detritivores.”
Kolk rocked on his feet again, Cyril was beginning to suspect that was like nodding or maybe laughing. “I think the Ceerrsss are the only ones that eat rotted stuff on the Tide-pool at the moment. That’s why they tend to eat at their own tables. That and all the legs”
The Piegg finally finished collecting things and handed him a plate, glimmering with a visual response that it took their translator a solid second to process “Good-greeting-well-wishing”. He would probably need to mess with the settings in order to get his translator faster on the uptake, it wasn’t set up well for visual language.
He looked over the food while Kolk led them to a open table. A bowl of soup and what looked like a salad. The greens were somewhat thicker than lettuce though, and had a distinctly floral scent. New certainly, but not unappealing. It probably helped that he was practically starving. He’d eat with the Ceerrsss at this point.
The table Kolk chose was thankfully small, and empty besides the two of them. Kolk dropped his tray in the center of the table before finally releasing his shoulder to sit across on the other side. “Oh, lesson one of Lnuc customs. When you eat with someone you try to sit facing each other. That way the food is in the center and the sides are open for other people to join.” There was some reasoning there that Cyril was missing, but he nodded anyways, before clarifying with a verbal ‘yeah, that makes sense’, in case the movement didn’t translate.
Cyril set his plate in front of him before slipping onto the stool opposite to Kolk. Finally, something to eat. He grabbed the bowl first, lifting it to just drink straight out of it. There were probably silverware somewhere in the cafeteria, but he couldn’t bring himself to care much. Kolk took this time to keep talking as he picked though his own plate “Do humans have many customs around eating?”
Cyril still had the bowl in his face, mid slurp, so he hummed in response. He drained a good quarter of it, tilting it in front of his mouth. It was practically a miracle it didn’t spill down his shirt. He went to set down his bowl when he realized that Kolk’s arm was in the way.
It took a second to process that the Lnuc had moved on from parsing though his own greens to picking over Cyril’s. It did not take that long for him to react. On instinct, Cyril hooked his plate back towards his chest, out from under the invading fingers. He curled slightly forward over the dish, as what ever his planned response was died on his tongue.
Kolk pulled away in turn, rattling shifting abruptly to a single *klac* sound before going quiet. He stared, paralyzed, arm still suspended, before his tongue finally caught up. “Oh, uh, sorry?”
“I-Don’t steal my food?” Cyril wasn’t sure if it was a command or a clarification at this point. Kolk looked pretty confused, and it was throwing himself off too.
Kolk made another klac-ing sound and straighted out again. “What do you mean stealing? I recognized that I can eat that- they’re boãssugo- and was going to have some. Should I… not?”
Cyril frowned “No, it’s mine. It’s” ah there was the problem.
“Ok then, rule one about Humans. We are possessive about food. So no eating off our plates- if it’s given to us it’s ours, so if you take it it’s stealing.”
The rattling returned with the explanation, and Kolk shrunk considerably- a sign of embarrassment, one that Lnuc shared with Humans. “Sorry, I didn’t think of that”
“No, it’s fine. We’re learning right? You can pay me back when I do something taboo to you”
Kolk rocked in place, definitely something like laughter. “Sure thing Cyril!”
“We might want to let the rest of the crew know though”

Masalah Papua, kata Fredy Numberi : mekanisme dialog perlu dibangun
Tumblr media
Papuaunik, - Menyikapi situasi Papua terkini, Laksamana Madya TNI (Purn) Freddy Numberi selaku Ketua Forum Senior dan Milenial (FORSEMI) Papua mengaku turut prihatin.
