it was a friday night. you went out with some of your friends, while kj stayed home and watched some tv. he wasn't really in the mood to go out that night.

- you were slowly trying to walk up to you and kj's shared apartment, located on the third floor. you were clearly struggling, holding on to the railings and taking your sweet time walking up the stairs.

kj heard some thuds from outside, but he didn't look into it that much. he thought it was the neighbor's kids doing their shennanigans like they do every friday. the thuds got louder, and kj decided to investigate. - as soon as he unlocked the door, he was greeted with the sight of you sitting on the cold blue hallway floor, eyes closed, smiling.

"Y/N? babe?" kj asked, slightly worried. "mhmmm...?" you hummed, eyes still closed. "let me help you" kj kneeled next to you and put his arm over your shoulder, holding onto your waist, helping you up. kj opened the door to the apartment with his leg and headed for the bedroom slowly, carefully holding his intoxicated partner. "jesus, how much did you drink?" kj asked, still heading for the bedroom. "only like.. 2 bottles... and another one... maybe?" you giggled, slurring your words. "god damn it." kj sighed. "missed you bibi.." you blurted. "bibi? that's new." "i missed your..body" you whispered the last part and giggled.

kj finally set you down on the bed, then sat next to you, looking at you sympathetically. "wish i could make love to you now.. but you're drunk, my love. i don't wanna take advantage of you." kj caressed your pale cheek. "eugh.. fuck that bullshit..." you groaned, rolling your eyes. "baby.. please res-" "kj! just fuck me. now. you know you want it too!!" you furrowed your eyebrows, pouting. "no." kj said, blankly. "please..daddy.. i need your big cock...." you smirked, rubbing kj's thigh "i'll go get you some water and advil. here's a trash can if you need to puke." kj got up and left the bedroom, right after putting a trash can right next to the bed. - you sighed, feeling sick. shortly after, you threw up in the trash can, groaning loudly. kj entered with a tall glass of water and a pill. he put the pill next to the lamp on the nightstand and gave you the glass of water. "drink up." "thanks.." you drank the water and put the glass back on the table. "now. sleep well. love you." kj smiled and kissed your forehead. "love you.. too..." you said, slowly falling asleep.

“Girls Night” A KJ Apa and Lili Reinhart imagine

Being best friends with a celebrity wasn’t as great as everyone would think. You and your best friend, Lili, barley got to spend anytime together. She was so busy with filming and doing photoshoots that there were only a few hours left in the day. The same thing applied to dating a celebrity. KJ and Lili has similar schedules so it was rare you saw either one.

It was one of the rare days where you were allowed to be on set so you decided to hang out in Lili’s trailer while she and KJ were filming. You were scrolling through your phone when the trailer door flung open. You were surprised to see Lili standing in the doorway with a big smile.

“Guess what?!”

“What, Lili?”

“We’re having a girls night tonight.” Your best friend sat down beside you, she was maintaining her big smile. You frowned slightly due to your plans with your boyfriend.

“Lils, I’d love to hang out but I already made plans with KJ.”

“He can come too! He’s an honorary woman for the night.”

You both grinned thinking about KJ attempting to gossip and understand makeup.

“Come over to my place around eight. I’ll get us a pizza.” Your best friend said.

“We’ll be there right on time. You know how KJ feels about pizza.”

“Maybe I should order three pizzas?”

“Yeah maybe.” You both laughed knowing KJ very well could eat two pizzas by himself.

Hours later, you and KJ arrived at Lili’s apartment.

“You two better not team up against me during Monopoly again.” Your boyfriend said as he knocked on the apartment door.

“It takes way too much time and effort to cheat at Monopoly. You’re just bad at it, babe.”

“I am not!”

“You’re pretty bad, KJ.” Lili said as she opened the door. You both laughed while your boyfriend put on a fake pout.

You entered the apartment first, immediately noticing your best friend had her special effects makeup out on the table. When KJ entered he immediately noticed the pizza and ran to it.

“You’re finally going to show me how to use the special effects makeup?!” You practically screeched out of excitement.

“Yep. You still want to do the skelton design?”

“Yes of course!”

“KJ, do you want your makeup done?” Lili asked. You both turned your heads to see your boyfriend eating two pieces of pizza at once.

“I’m good thanks.” He said with a full mouth.

A little over a hour later you and Lili were done with the makeup. She taught you how to make your hand look like it was just bone and you well…you painted her hand white. Lili reassured you it was fine and she would help you get better. But, while you were busy trying to be a makeup artist, KJ was busy setting up Monopoly.

“I checked the cards and everything. There is no way you two are going to cheat.” He said proudly standing by the board.

“You can check the cards all you want, but I’m still going to kick your ass.” The blonde teased.

For the next three hours, the three of you played an entense game of Monopoly. It was quite possibly the most serious game you had ever been involved in. Lili ended up winning, you thought KJ was going to explode.

“She cheated, I know it.” He whispered to you as you put away the game.

“She did not cheat. Let it go, babe.”

You migrated to the living room, the most important location of the sleepover. Everytime you stayed at Lili’s or vice versa you would watch Netflix until you fell asleep or saw the sun.

The three of you settled on the couch and started the long journey of searching for a movie to watch. Thankfully, you all agreed to watch a goofy movie that was mainly made for laughing. KJ and Lili decided on an 90s stoner movie. Things started out good with the three of you continuously laughing but as the movie went on the quieter you all became. It was one in the morning and the movie was still going when you noticed your best friend and boyfriend were officially out like lights. Lili’s head rested on your shoulder and KJ’s head in your lap.

You sighed knowing all of you were going to wake up sore tomorrow from the odd sleeping positions. But you were happy because you finally got to spend quality time with your best friend and boyfriend.

Prompt #4: “We’re not getting married!”

Author’s Note: These could be short or long. Depending on how many prompts I get for one imagine/drabble.

It all started with you wearing a ring on your left finger. A few days before, it was your birthday and you were given a ring by your grandmother who wanted you to have it. Fans started to stir up when they saw you and KJ were out and the ring was on your left finger. 

“Oh no,” You said as you stared at the picture of you and KJ.

“What’s wrong?” KJ asked as he walked over to you.

“Look,” You say before showing him your phone. KJ’s eyes widen a bit.

“Oh,” He said.

“I love you and all but I think if we were to be getting married now, it’ll be a little too quick,” You explain to him. You and KJ have been dating for two years but you both were perfect with one another from the start.

 “I know. Look, I’m doing an interview tomorrow and I can clear it out,” KJ said.

“Okay,” You nodded.

The next day, you were watching KJ as he was being interviewed by Entertainment Tonight.

“So, KJ, there have been sightings of Y/N wearing an engagement ring. Are you two getting married?” The interviewer asked.

“He is? KJ how can you not tell me?” Cole joked. The cast knew that this was false. KJ let out a small laugh.

“We’re not getting married,” KJ denies,” I mean one day I hope to get married but we’re taking things slow. Maybe in a few more years.”

“Aw so no Riverdale wedding?” The interviewer joked.

“No. Not yet,” KJ said shaking his head. He looked over at you before giving you a small wink. You chuckled a bit at him before blowing him a kiss.

Texas to Canada | KJ x Reader

“Attention to anyone who is on Flight 341 to Vancouver, Canada--we will now begin boarding with Coach Section A,” the JetBlue airman says over the speaker. Taking one of your earbuds out of your ears, you pull up your boarding pass on your cell phone. This wasn’t your first time flying from Dallas to Vancouver and you were still not looking forward to this 5 hour flight and the cold weather on the other side. 

But it would all be worth it because you would be with your best friend and boyfriend. You were born and raised in Dallas, Texas and you loved it there more than words could describe. After you graduated high school, you wanted to get out of Texas and explore the world around you. Your passion was theater and you wanted to study in New York for the longest time. When the time came, you auditioned for NYU Tisch’s drama program and got in, a shock to you and your parents. The school was notorious for not giving any financial aid except for what was needed, so it was a tough choice. You could go to TCU, a place your parents wanted you to attend since you were born, or NYU, a place you dreamed of going. After long talks and arguments later, your parents enrolled you into NYU regardless of the cost. Since attending, you’ve learned so much and make so many new friends, like Cami. 

You met Cami in your improvisation class. She came right up to you and introduced herself. The two of you became fast friends, bonding over your Southern roots and how much you miss the climate and the food. College went by quickly and before you knew it, it was time for graduation. You and Cami went your separate ways, but always kept in touch. She became a hot item in television and you moved back to Texas to do some community theater work and eventually get a Masters in Theater Education. 

One day last year, Cami called you, saying she landed a role in a new CW show that was inspired by Archie Comics. She was cast as Veronica and she was begging you to come fly to LA to audition for a role. You thanked her and congratulated her, but ultimately decided to stay in Texas because you needed to focus on your work to become a teacher. She was disappointed by understood and asked you to fly out to Vancouver to watch it being filmed.

When you got to Vancouver the first time, Camila greeted you at gate, immediately blabbering like you never left each other. The first thing that came out of her mouth was “You have to meet KJ.” You had no idea what she was talking about. She then explained it was the guy who was played Archie and she went on and on about how attractive he was and how sexy his accent was and how you two would make the perfect pair. 

“Cam, that’s very nice of you to think of me. But this guy is three years younger than me. How do I know he’s not some gross asshat who acts like he’s still 15?” you interrogate. “Oh, please. KJ is the nicest guy I’ve met. I thought he was 25 when I first met him. It wasn’t until we all went out to a bar that I realized he was 20!” Cami said as you started to drive to set. 

Boy, oh, boy was she right. When you met, KJ you were completely infatuated by him. He had the most infectious laugh and these bright eyes filled with joy. His accent was so. sexy. And the way that he talked to you made you knees weak. Within an hour of knowing him, he asked you on a date and of course you had to say yes. 

After your trip to Vancouver, you and KJ remained a long distance couple. He’d film Riverdale in Vancouver, then fly to Dallas on some breaks he had, then go home to Auckland. It was hard to say the least, but it was all worth it when you got to see him.

A nap, some snacks, and a five hour flight later, you stepped off the plane, your rolling luggage behind you. It was already cold and you hadn’t even stepped outside yet. As you strolled down the airport, you looked around seeing families reunited, couples saying goodbye, and everything in between. Your heart raced knowing that you would see your boyfriend soon after two months without him. Once you got to the luggage carousel, you saw his dyed flaming red hair and him holding up a sign that said your name on it. You can’t help, but have a goofy smile plaster on your face as his eyes meet yours. Walking over to him, he drops the sign and envelopes you into a huge bear hug. “Hey, baby,” he beams before pressing his lips onto yours, you melting into him. “God, I’ve missed you,” he speaks against your lips, making you laugh. “How was your flight?” he asks, grabbing your hand intertwines your fingers as he takes your luggage with the other hand.

You groan, “Disgustingly long. The guy across the aisle was snoring like a freaking animal. Thankfully the woman next to me was kind enough to lend me her noise cancelling headphones.” KJ laughs at your comment. “But it was worth it,” you kiss his cheek and squeeze his hand. 

“(Y/N)!” you hear a female scream other other side of KJ. There Cami stands in a pair of sweatpants that match yours, bring back fond memories of going to SoHo to find matching joggers. As you make eye contact, you two squeal in unison and immediately embrace. “Ugh, I’ve missed you so much!” you tell her, hugging her tightly. “We have so much to talk about,” she says, holding your arms as you nod your head. “KJ, I’m stealing your girlfriend!” Cami says, pulling you away.

“Woah, slow your roll. She’s mine,” KJ grabs your other arm. Before it becomes human tug-of-war, you say, “Geez, there is enough (Y/N) to go around.” You kiss KJ and squeeze Cami’s hand. “Where to first?” you ask.

The two of them look at each other. “Set?” Cami asks. “Set,” KJ replies. The three of you walk to KJ’s car, ready to start your little adventure.

The next few days were hard for you. Neither did you know what happened between Cole and you, but he also did not exchange a word with you. On screen, his words were never directed towards you, but towards the character, you played. You knew it because everything he said and done towards you was nothing but a façade which began to break. In the break, he would leave the set and while filming, he would turn around, once you tried to look at him. It broke your heart and there was a pain in your chest that you could not explain. It was not hard to act to love someone when you loved the person behind the screen, but it was hard to see that the person does not feel the same. It was just a matters of time until you would break down. The only thing that kept you from it was the songwriting with KJ. After what happened, KJ insisted to write a love song. Not just a love song, but one towards Cole.

As the pain almost became unbearable, the two of you finished the song. In your opinion, it may be a sad one, but a powerful and meaningful one. Probably because so many people could understand it. Without your and Cole’s knowledge, KJ, Lili, Casey, and Camila planned something. Other members helped, but it was mainly their idea, and it was a good one. It was after filming, and you went out to for dinner with the whole crew.

The local had no seat left, once everyone arrived and sat down. You sat next to Lili and parallel to Camila and Cole. You felt uncomfortable again, a feeling that you were used by now. In the past weeks, you realized something. Something that always had been there, but quite hidden. You were in love with Cole, but it was too late. He probably did not feel the same anymore. It hurt more as you read an article online. “Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse finally dating? Read now everything about the power couple and their incredible relationship.” In the moment you read the article, anger, and sadness spread in your body. You were sipping on your cocktail as KJ jumped up from his seat. He went up to the stage, confusing Cole and you, but nobody else. “Hey, I am KJ Apa. A friend of mine helped me to write an amazing song, and I thought maybe you want to hear it. Do you guys want to?”

Everyone around you, especially Lily and Camila, began to cheer. KJ caught your eyes and waved you over. With hesitation, you walked slowly to the stage. You kept your head down, which heated up as you felt everyone’s eyes on you. With shaking legs, you entered the stage and you felt like your body was on fire. Not only because you were nervous, but also because of the headlights. KJ patted your back as he went to get his guitar. As you still did not say anything, KJ took it into his own hands again. “This song is from Y/N for Cole.” At those words, Cole looked up from his glass. He stared at you and you stared back. It was the first time, he looked at you for longer as a few seconds. The lights dimmed and KJ began to sing;

Both of you began to sing the lyrics and the whole time you stayed in eye contact with Cole. No smile or smirk was plastered on his face, but something flickered in his eyes.

Your soft voice began rang through the room and it made Cole’s heart sped up. His eyes watered, but he swore that he had something in his eyes. Both of their lips tugged, and both of them realized something.

Without thinking, Cole jumped out of his seat, almost ripping everything on their table with him. He did not know what he was doing, but his heart knew it. His heart wanted to show you, the person he fell in love with, how he felt.. This time he knew it was the right thing, and he did not fear anything. His heart was jumping in his chest, just like yours. In the moment, you saw him leaving his chair, your voice cracked, fearing that he left. Why can't you hold me in the street? Why can't I kiss you on the dance floor?

From the right, he leaped onto the stage and pulled you into a kiss. KJ just continued to play and sing. Nothing could destroy this moment.

Your lips tasted sweet against his, but it also gave out the taste of home. Something he craved for such a long time, just as you did. You felt like everything was okay again. More than just okay. You finally found the home of your heart. It was Cole, the boy who ignored you for weeks after he thought you loved someone else. Why can't we be like that? Wish we could be like that

Once the song ended, people around you began to cheer and whistle. It was like an explosion of emotions, not only between the two of you. The members of the cast high-fived the each other, while KJ smirked at both you. For the two of you, nobody else existed at this very moment. It was no longer hopeless, but only the two of you.

A/N: i wrote this back in october, when i was madly in love with kj, but had it kept in my wattpad drafts, this was originally with my name in it instead of Y/N (that’s why this is very specific and extremely cheesy), but i replaced some words for your enjoyment. it was your birthday, on a breezeful summer night. you always hated huge parties, not only because they stress you out but also because you hate huge crowds.

and your boyfriend, KJ, understands you. completely.

for your 19th birthday, KJ had it all planned out. you two were going to have your own little party, where you drink and have fun together, just the two of you. he knew you would love it.

it was 6pm. you just got back from your exhausting work day. you worked as a librarian at a small library in the city center. you liked it and the job pays the bills.

one might've thought that KJ would go after another actor, or singer or someone famous; but he didn't. one day, he was going to the library to borrow a book for one of his friends. and that's how you two met. KJ kept going to the library to "borrow" books every week, just to talk to you. he finally got the courage to ask you out, and you started dating. he couldn't wait to surprise you tonight.

you opened the door to your shared apartment, and sighed, relieved to be back home. as soon as you turned around you saw KJ standing there, hands behind his back, wearing a button up and some jeans, doing his signature smirk. "hey" he said.

your face lit up from the shock and hapiness.

"h-hey.." you tilted your head and you were going for a hug, smiling.

you both embraced each other, like you haven't seen each other in god knows how long.

"happy birthday baby." KJ hugged you tightly.

you stayed silent and enjoyed the moment. KJ pulled away shortly after.

"i cooked dinner for us.." KJ said.

"since when do you cook?" you giggled.

"i had someone help me do this.. but i cook pretty well!!" KJ expressed.

"that's adorable... and no you don't" you smirked.

"yes i do!" KJ pouted.

"no you don't." you giggled.

"fine, you win.." KJ rolled his eyes playfully

"but this is good! it tastes good! try it" KJ said, slightly nervous.

"let's see..." you were heading to the chair to sit on it but then you felt KJ's hands on your shoulders and stopped.

"w-wait! let me help you!" KJ, pulled the chair back for you to sit.

"is big strong man KJ nervous?" you chuckled as you were sitting down.

"shut up!" KJ said in his cute accent and chuckled as he sat down in his own chair.

you giggled adorably as you looked down to see what's on your plate.

some spicy pasta in a lot of tomato paste, topped with some cheese and basil. classic, but just what you needed after a long day.

"impressive." you looked up at KJ, who had a worried look on his face, afraid that you might not have liked the food.

"you did this all by yourself?" you asked.

"with some help from my friend, yes." KJ said, proudly

you nodded, then grabbed your fork and started eating. KJ followed along.

"how was work today?" KJ asked.

"oh. exhausting! some kids came over because they were on a field trip. literally turned the whole place upside down." you ranted as he ate.

"oh really?"

"yep. it was a pain in the ass cleaning it up. there was also this book signing event-thingy or whatever. full of stuck up people who probably don't even read books!"

"huh."

"yeah! and on top of that, i had to be on my best behaviour with all of them staring at me and judging me."

"and all of this happened in one day! my birthday!" you sighed.

"sorry that happened to you.." KJ pouted.

"it's whatever. just work stuff. what did you do today?" you looked at KJ.

"well.. since they delayed the show, i don't do much.. but today i made this dinner for us!" KJ smiled.

"it's great. thank you for everything." you smiled along.

"you're welcome" KJ smiled, this time more brighter, proud of himself.

as soon as you both finished your food, you raised you glasses full of wine , clinking them together, laughing.

"to us." you both said simultaneously.

the next half hour was filled with you cracking each other up as you moved on the couch, having drunk way too much wine

"..imagine if they actually did!!!" you were laughing at one of KJ's jokes.

KJ laughed along and shortly stopped to look at Raul's adorable face.

you noticed him staring.

"w-what?" you said, still laughing.

"you look adorable..." KJ looked deeply into your eyes

you stopped laughing and looked at KJ.

"you're even more adorable"

KJ grabbed your chin and pulled you in for a slow and passionate kiss.

"..and hot." you said after pulling out of the kiss.

this drives KJ crazy and he grabs your face carefully, kissing you roughly.

you moaned quietly into the kiss, which drived KJ even more crazy, starting to unbutton his own shirt as he grinded against you.

"mm.. i fucking love you!" you moaned.

KJ pulled out of the kiss and stopped, staring at you, eyes wide. "huh?"

your eyes widen. you never said the “L word” before. never. to nobody.

"yeah! i love you KJ.." your eyes started to water

"fuck.. i love you too Y/N..." KJ gave a genuine smile

"never said that to anyone before...you're the first."

"i'm glad to be."

"i love you so much KJ.. you make me so happy. i love you! oh my GOD i love you."  you started to cry.

"i love you Y/N.. you make me want to keep going every day.. i've changed so much since i've met you. i love you so much."

by now, KJ was on top of you, both crying together happily soaked in each other's sniffles, tears and love.

you eventually fell asleep together.

“Meet The Family” A KJ Apa imagine

Quick note: y/f/n= your father’s name, y/m/n= your mother’s name, y/s/n= your sister’s name

“What if they don’t like me?” KJ nervously asked as you drove to your parents home.

“They’ll love you, KJ. Don’t worry.”

“You telling me not to worry only makes me worry.” Your boyfriend sighed. You turned your head to see KJ looking straight ahead clenching his jaw. He only clenched his jaw when he was really stressed. You placed your hand on his knee in an attempt to calm him down.

“Hey seriously, don’t stress out. My dad loves guitars so you guys can talk about that, my mom just loves everyone and my sister likes…well she doesn’t like a lot of things but you guys can talk about Riverdale.” KJ let out a small laugh but continued to look out the window.

A few minutes later, you pulled into your parent’s driveway. You couldn’t help but notice the garage door was up and your father was working on something. He stopped whatever he was working on to look over at you. You smiled and immediately got out of the car and ran to your father for a hug.

“Hi dad!” You yelled as the two of you embraced tightly.

“Hey kiddo. How was the trip over here?”

“It was okay. Traffic wasn’t terrible.”

“I’m glad, sweetheart.” When you pulled away from the hug your dad noticed KJ standing behind you.

“Is that the famous kid?”

“Dad, this is my boyfriend, KJ. KJ, this is my dad, y/d/n.”

KJ extended his hand with a slightly frightened smile. You watched as your father gripped his hand and slowly shook it.

“Nice to meet you, KJ.”

“It’s nice to meet you too, sir. I’ve been waiting a while to meet your family.”

“Too busy with your Hollywood life to come visit?” Your father asked in a dead serious tone.

“Uh…”

“I’m just kidding, son. Y/n told me how busy you are with work.” Your father jokingly slapped KJ’s shoulder. Your boyfriend let out a slightly nervous laugh in return.

“Is mom in the house?” You asked in order to avoid an awkward silence.

“Yeah, she’s working on dinner now.”

“I’ll go help her finish up. KJ, do you-“

“I’ll have him stay out here and help me. I told your mother I’d get this bookshelf finished by next week.” Your father said, surprising you and KJ.

“Okay. Well you two play nice.”

You walked over to the door that connected the garage to the house. Just as you closed the door you heard KJ say “So, y/n said you like guitars.” It made you smile that KJ was trying so hard to get to know your father.

As you enetered the kitchen, you were greeted by your mother cooking at the stove and your sister scrolling through her phone.

“Hi mom, hi y/s/n.” They both looked towards you. Your mother smiled and wrapped you in a hug.

“Welcome home, sweetie!”

“Welcome home, nerd.” Your sister said, not moving from her spot at the table. Your mother pulled away but cupped your face.

“You look so different everytime you come to visit.”

“I don’t look that different, mom.”

“Hey, where’s your boy toy?” Your sister interrupted.

“He’s in the garage talking to dad. I told-“ before you could finish, your sister jumped up and walked in the direction of the garage.

“She won’t admit it, but she’s excited to meet him.”

“Yeah, that sounds like y/s/n.”

“I’m excited too. It’s not everyday your daughter brings home her famous boyfriend.”

“Don’t make a big deal about it. It makes him uncomfortable when people gush over him being famous.”

“When do I ever make a big deal about things?” It was impossible to hold back a laugh, your mother was notorious for blowing things out of proportion.

“I’ll try not to embarrass the boy. But if he starts talking about his other celebrity friends I might lose it.”

“Okay, mom.” You said with a giggle.

You helped your mother finish dinner, the entire time she asked questions about your boyfriend. You gladly told her all about KJ’s life in New Zealand and his work in Canada. She was truly amazed by it all.

“Boys and girl, it’s time for dinner!”

Your mother yelled towards the garage as you set the table. A few moments later your father, sister, and KJ walked into the kitchen.

“I’m starving.” Your father sat down at the head of the table and reached for one of the many bowls of food. Your mother swatted his hand and scolded him.

“Not yet. Wait until everyone else is seated.” Your mother said before she turned her attention to KJ.

“You must be the boyfriend. I’m y/m/n.”

“It’s nice to finally meet you. Y/n has told me everything about you.”

“Only good things I hope.”

“Great things actually.”

“We get it, your handsome and nice. Can you please sit down so we can eat?” Your little sister interrupted. You and your mother snapped your heads towards her and gave the ‘if we didn’t have a guest you would get your ass handed to you’ look. She just smirked in response.

“Yeah sure, I’m starving too.”

Finally once everyone was seated, you were able to eat. The first few minutes were quiet until your sister started asking about Riverdale.

“So what’s going to happen next season?”

“I can’t tell you, sorry.”

“Come on, KJ. You’re dating my sister it’s my right to know what happens next season.”

“That doesn’t make any sense and stop harassing my boyfriend.” You said.

“I’ll harass him if I want.”

“No you-“

“Girls, that’s enough.” Your father cut in, glaring at both of you. KJ laughed and shook his head.

“It’s alright, I have two sisters and I’ve seen plenty of bickering between them.”

“Our girls take it to a whole other level. When they were ten and seven, Y/s/n played with her sister’s doll for five minutes. Y/n didn’t talk to her for almost a month.”

“Seriously?” KJ asked looking at you.

“Seriously. Princess Maria was my favorite doll, no one else was ever supposed to play with her.”

KJ and your sister laughed while you rolled your eyes. It made you happy to see two of your favorite people getting along. The rest of dinner was spent talking about school, work, and other things KJ liked. You were pleasantly surprised that your family genuinely seemed to like your boyfriend. They weren’t exactly known for liking the news guys you brought home.

When dinner was finished, you and KJ offered to do the dishes so your mother didn’t have to. You washed while KJ dried.

“So, what do you think about my family so far?”

“I like them, they’re pretty cool. Your dad offered to take me downtown sometime and to guitar shopping and your sister said she wants us to take her to Coachella next time.”

“They are pretty great most of the time. It means a lot to me that they like you and you like them. Family is important to me.”

“It’s important to me too. That’s why I hope I get the chance to get to know them even more.”

“Have I ever told you how much I love you?”

“A few times, yeah. I think I may have told you a few times too.”

You turned towards KJ and kissed his cheek. He tried so hard to fight the blush that crept across his face.

“What was that for?” He asked with a small smile.

“For being a good boyfriend who can put up with my family.”
