From rehearsals in the studio to tech and dress rehearsals to show days, I’ve always enjoyed the whole experience. I’m super excited because I’ll be getting a lot of that experience in the next few months and I’m doubly excited that I’m rehearsing for shows and performances that other people are creating and producing. In early March, I’m participating in the Fernando Sosa Tropical Gem performance challenge at the Atlanta Salsa and Bachata Festival. End of March I’ll be in a few pieces in Dance Lab’s “Baddest Show in Town” at the Charleston Music Hall. I’m currently rehearsing with Dance Matters, a local modern dance company, and we will be performing “Coming to Monuments” in area schools in March and May and hopefully in public performances soon! Monuments is probably one of the coolest pieces I’ve ever been in and even though it’s a challenge (I have to memorize lines in addition to choreography!!) it’s been a great process so far and I’m loving it.
