She didn't think too much about the fact that she had been pulled away from anything, she didn't even realize she had nearly gotten hit. Hell, even if she did notice, she likely wouldn't have cared. No one should be driving in this weather anyways.

Her clothes and body felt cold as if she had been in this weather for hours. Her gaze managed to focus on the other, eventually. Even if she wasn't able to look at him properly at the moment. She was just focusing in on the voice, too mentally exhausted to properly focus. But the realization that someone was talking to her was kicking in, and she barely managed to comprehend what he was saying. ". . . I'm sorry."

She wouldn't want to die with other people around if it actually worked for once.

She allowed herself to eat, as intended. After all, it would be rude to take the food that she did and then not eat it. She would still be worried for the other girls, but she figured that they likely found various things to do to be able to keep themselves busy. She didn't mind that all too much, it makes things a bit easier for everyone.

Especially since Maika wasn't around, as much as she loved the girl. She tended to speak her mind just a bit too often for it to be safe to have her around with strangers in the home.

The woman was also keeping an eye on the workers, and occasionally, Chuuya himself. She new better than to do it too often, she just wanted to make sure everything was alright, and no one was sneaking off to nose in on anything. . .

Elise was being watched by Dianne, considering the fact that Mori wanted her to keep an eye on the girl. Elise was having fun messing around with the guy for a bit before eventually looking up at him, the smile on her face masking her seriousness. "I almost feel bad, you were given an impossible task to begin with. How'd you even lose her, anyway?"

Dianne closed her eyes for a moment, leaning up against the wall. She couldn't stop Elise even if she wanted to... And besides, she was a bit curious herself-

"I appreciate it." He was definitely going to need it. And soon, he was gathering that to go cup up and they were heading into the office.

Chuuya, as per his texts, met him there. He was then dragged down into the dungeon, where he would be chained up with limited food and water for a week, as well as be Mori's test subject for a few drugs he was trying to implement.

He'd administered one already, now he had an unfortunate mafia member watching over Chuuya--

She knew full well that this was likely to fluster the poor guy, but she couldn't help herself. Soon, a giggle emitted from her, even with the small flush on her face. "Hehe~ You're such a silly little Chuuya, aren't you?"

"It's like... I know that, but..." She found herself staring at the sunset, trying to figure out her own thoughts and emotions about this. She had been pondering over it for a while, and it just happened to... Slip out to him. She knew he was of the Port, his position was obvious no matter how it was looked at. But she didn't mind...

"Y-you say that, but-" She found herself squeaking, hands mindlessly gripping the elevator that was acting up. Maika just happened to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time and found herself in a shut-down elevator that almost felt as if it was moments from snapping and sending her to the bottom floor. All the while people decided to come in and take this place as a hostage situation. It left her in a tight spot, given using her ability wouldn't be the most helpful unless she got sent back far enough to prevent herself from being in the thing in the first place.

With a quiet whine, the elevator shook a second time, making her force her eyes closed. "At least I was the only one in here..." At least she didn't need to protect anyone else in this moment... Her gaze went toward the small opening of the door that he managed to do so far, forcing a small, sheepish smile. "I-I should be the least of your worries, Chuuya, please-"

She hadn't quite expected the other to actually go and do something like that. At least, not anytime soon due to how. . . Innocent, he tended to be. However, it didn't mean the brunette didn't enjoy it. It was. . . proof that she didn't belong to that vile man who had control of her and her loved ones.

A light sting of pain, compared to the constant agony she felt deep inside. Akin to a sweet release in of itself.

". . ." The silence felt deafening, as she stared at the other. She knew he was fast asleep, and that he needed the rest, given his condition. But Maika had no idea when it would be possible for her to visit him again. Even if it was just for a small smile, in bed with him. . . It felt like it wouldn't harm anything, as long as she was gentle.

She wondered how he had gotten hurt so badly, and her first thought was that, maybe. . . She was the one to blame for it. But she didn't dare state it, unsure of how easily he would be to wake.

Instead, she started to carefully move onto the large bed, getting as close as she felt she could comfortably pull off. Still enough away to not rouse him, but she was close enough to be able to reach out and take his hand. Letting out a shaky breath, she kept her grip gentle, rubbing her thumb against the back of his hand for just a moment.

Then, she closed her eyes, feeling a tear stream down. Was it all starting to finally fall apart?. . .

"Chuu. . ." She knew that she had likely been worrying him a bit, as of late, but she hadn't expected the random sign of affection. It caused her to relax, body releasing the tension that had been there for several days now.

"Thank you," She muttered, leaning her head up against his chest with a small smile. "I'm sorry for worrying you. . ."

She. . . Really liked him. A flinch, but worth the pain to think of just how much she cared for him, and how much he meant to her at this point.

There was no going back now, was there?. . .
