as with my final destination ones of these, i feel like you can easily tell based on this what character i am most deeply unwell about 😭 bonus points if you can guess! 🖤
Are you named after anyone? Not that I know of! My mother wanted to name me Josephine, which I would have loved, but I'm very fond of my name.
When was the last time you cried? I don't remember tbh. Recently, but my short term memory has been foggy lately.
Do you have kids? No. I don't know if I ever will. Part of me would love to, but I'd need at least one other person to help raise them, ideally two more. But how do you go about building a polycule in this day in age when you live in a sparsely queer area?
Do you use sarcasm? It's not uncommon. Unfortunately I don't have the best handle on my tone sometimes, so I try to be mindful of it.
What's the first thing you notice about people? Manner through expression. Whether someone is open or hard, or closed off, abrupt or friendly.
What's your eye color? Light brown. I'll always remember a past job during the height of mask-wearing where Percival (TGGT's namesake Percival) realized I had such light eyes, and he was like, "I didn't realize you had colored eyes, I thought they were black/dark [like his]"
Scary movies or happy endings? Happy endings. I'm a baby about scary movies.
Any special talents? Singing. I'm a mezzo soprano who was a child prodigy (trained by an opera singer since age four--she taught exclusively teenagers and up and never had taken a pupil in the single digits, let alone that young).
Where were you born? In my home state, New Hampshire.
What are your hobbies? Writing is my main one, but I've actively returned to reading and I'm so glad about it. I also video game frequently, notably fantasy rpgs like Dragon Age and the Witcher, as well as Hades and Animal Crossing (always down to swap friend codes, I have two islands and I'm in terraforming hell on one of them)
Have you any pets? Three kitties! Indy, Eurydice, and Napoleon. A Norwegian Forest cat, and two ragdolls.
What sports do you play/have played? Basketball in middle school but never on a team.
How tall are you? 5'5.
Favorite subject in school? English/language arts.
Dream job? Not uncommon here I'm sure, but to be a traditionally published author successful enough to provide for myself without another job would be amazing. Other than that, a corporate position within Barnes & Noble or Lush, maybe.
gonna be that guy and ask for the hellcrew opinions on Seamus 🤞🤞
The Hellcrew's opinion on a fellow member ah yes.
Julius the Dressmaker:
Seamus is the equivalent of what most people would think of as a good friend to Julius. Despite Julius refusing to acknowledge a friendship with anyone, ever (I mean come on, he hardly acknowledges his relationship with his boyfriend husband), the two do get along all too well. Both men are... artistic, so naturally a lot of their friendship is built on that.
Killian Lynch:
He hates Seamus, he HATES him, but he puts up with him for booboo kitty fuck Julius.
Kelly Duffy:
This is him:
Octavian Doherty:
"bruh💀" is something he says to Seamus on a daily basis, but he doesn't really have any strong feelings either which way.
Sullivan Sweeney:
This little shit probably helps dress up the corpses
I was tagged by @farklelucas to post my 6 recent fave songs 💕 tysm katie this is so fun!! they're not in any order bc I can't choose
THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DOOR (TAYLOR'S VERSION) | TAYLOR SWIFT (2021)- one of my favourite taylor songs and taylor's version, if you excuse the reference, hits different!! the outro does things to me ok it's genius and I'm forever obsessed with it
BE THE GIRL | ASLYN (2005)- yes I'm listening to the bratz rock angelz soundtrack and yes it still slaps ok this song was one of my faves in the game and the full version is so good and go listen to it if you haven't
LAZYBABY | DOVE CAMERON (2021)- justice for dove's pre-breakfast songs bc this is so fun and such a bop like it's kinda silly but there's something so uplifting and empowering to it?? also the line "promised you would f*ck up my life/why my kitty still got nine?" sends me sorry thomas doherty but it needed to be said
ENTITLED | LEIGHTON MEESTER (2014)- honestly I love that leighton's music is so gentle (apart from her pop singles obviously) like her voice is so smooth and it's such a pretty song even though it's kinda sad... her comeback when...
BREADWINNER | KACEY MUSGRAVES (2021)- I only really started listening to this bc I heard a live version and I was missing OUT it's such a fun song while still doing such a good job of showing how powerful women are alway gonna have someone try to pull them down
NO-ONE ELSE | NATASHA, PIERRE AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 ORIGINAL CAST (2012)- there's magic in phillipa soo's voice and this is the perfect example ok like I first heard this like 6 years ago and it's one of the most stunning musical songs imo it's beautiful

occupation — struggling musician. johnny just returned to town after being gone for two years on the road. he got a few good gigs, but nothing that put him on the map.
education level — he was expelled from high school during his senior year. he was going to go back and get his GED, but never bothered.
residence — for now he’s staying at the local havenhill inn, which is probably just as terrible as it sounds.
family — catherine ‘kitty’ graham, who he loves with every fiber of his being. even when she went by cathy, he called her kitty. or kitkat. he was raised by his grandparents, but they have a strained relationship because of how much trouble he got in as a kid. some of that mellowed out as he got older, but his reputation still followed him.
finances — they aren’t great, but he always finds a way to get by.
languages — english
faceclaim / voiceclaim — thomas doherty
misc. —
he has a bad reputation with the locals. if a convenience store gets robbed, the cops are guaranteed to show up on his doorstep.
as a kid, he did everything you weren’t supposed to do just to see if he could get away with it. his juvenile record is pages long, but most of the charges have been expunged. at this point he assumes the cops are so bored they just follow him around town. once he was even arrested for jaywalking. he doesn’t trust cops (or people in general) because of this. havenhill made him feel like he was under a microscope.
he has a bad temper and it’s typically what gets him in trouble. the fights he got into at school weren’t the typical fights. he once sent a kid to the ER for slapping his sister’s ass. generally he’s laid back, but there are certain things that will set him off.
a lot of that has to do with internalized anger that he carries around after they went to live with their grandparents. he was older than kitty at the time and it impacted him significantly.
developed an unlikely friendship with julia collins. it lasted until her parents found out about it. given his reputation, they immediately put an end to what had rapidly turned into a budding crush - but not before he got one kiss.
he’s expecting plenty of people to be mad at him for taking off, kitty especially, and he’s not looking forward to police scrutiny.
he plays guitar and has a decent voice
on the road he developed a lot of bad habits that he’s still trying to shake, with little success. he returned to havenhill for a lot of reasons, but it was also the last place he ever felt happy
he’s socal, but has a dry affect and demeanor that tends to piss people off. he pushes boundaries and can go too far at times.
any opinions on blonde joan watson? and if not would you mind talking a bit about which season is your fav/why? i always love to hear your breakdowns of different themes/elements between seasons. hope your week is going well 😊✌️
blonde joan watson: an icon, but her costuming was so messy unfortunately plus season 7 does not actually exist
favourite seasons: 1, 2, 3, 6
why:
the whole premise of joan watson was and still is groundbreaking. of all adaptations of sherlock holmes, joan is the watson with the most character development, agency, and independence from holmes. the first 3 seasons are wonderful in that we see her grow from companion to appentice to a detective in her own right, equal to holmes in skill, often surpassing him, often because she offers a different perspective to white men. i dislike later seasons because doherty gave up on coming up with storylines for joan (he has admitted to this), and her development just plateaued, unchanging.
sherlock holmes himself in elementary is a deconstruction of the ‘intelligent asshole’ trope (still very popular across all mainstream tv) and at the time this characterisation was always associated with sherlock holmes due to other recent adaptations (house, the ritchie films, that other one). sherlock begins the series as the intelligent asshole towards his colleagues (though he is actually very kind to the victims he’s saving unlike That other show), but unlike other adaptations where this bad behaviour is accepted/rewarded because he’s “good at his job”, elementary was the only show that dared to explore the consequences of being such an asshole in such a setting. in season 1 he must learn to become a more considerate friend to watson who, unlike other watsons, refused to tolerate that sort of treatment. then season 2 took it further by exploring how that behaviour was not just rude, but even life-endangering in professional settings (i loveeee season 2 episode 9 and the following episodes with bell). eventually, though still very eccentric and very impatient and very honest as he fundamentally is in canon, he was just a much better person than other sherlocks on tv at the time.
the moriarty plotline makes me INSANE
i love me a good found family and adored kitty’s plotline. wish she’d stayed around longer
the season 6 ending was just so lovely, even though the season itself was quite messy and all over the place. this is where the series was supposed to end, but was unexpectedly renewed. they’re just the bestest friends, and there isn’t a better friendship on tv. i care for them more over any fictional romance.
season 4 and 5 suck because of their monotony and the hugeee increase in copoganda, but i do like rewatching some individual episodes. season 7 did watson so dirty (i’m Still mad) and considering the only plotline that never got a conclusion was moriarty’s, it was so slack to open everything back up again only to do a shitty final problem adaptation with a bootleg version of her AND THEN DO THAT TO JOAN
hello, i’m looking for new partners to write with on tumblr or disc.ord ! pls take a look at my 1x1 guidelines if interested & push the lil heart below if you think we’d make a great team and i’ll bother you for plotting !! you can find some of my favourite fcs under the cut.
