Branch (Normal)

Empezando con nuestra protagonista aquí tienen algunos datos sobre ella

Personalidad: Seria, sarcástica, brusca, brutalmente honesta (de forma intencional y no intencional), enojona, gruñona, sensible (no lo admite), determinada, terca, amable (cuando la conoces bien), divertida (por accidente), humor negro, cínica, algo masculina y atlética

Apariencia: Cabello negro y largo normalmente recogido en una coleta alta o moño algo desordenado, piel grisácea, delgada, baja para su edad y ojos azul grisáceo casi gris.

Vestimenta: Suele usar ropa holgada mayoritariamente (especialmente cuando sale), siempre tonos opacos y sombríos, botas negras de combate, cuando está en casa o practicando deportes suele usar ropa más pegada como blusas y shorts.

Gustos: Leer, deportes, la poesía (secreto), su privacidad, ir en skate (a veces), el boxeo, Poppy (Branch: Mentira! >:v), estar con su pequeño grupo de amigos, el pastel de Fuffleberrys, el café y dedicar tiempo a su secreto

Disgustos: La música muy fuerte, que la toquen sin su consentimiento, cantar (al menos en público), Creek, Brozone, los dulces y bebidas empalagosas y la gente falsa

Amigos: Suki, Cooper, D, Smidge, Guy Diamond y Kismet

Dato extra: Cuando era pequeña (unos 3 o 5 años) sus hermanos se fueron de gira con su boy band y la dejaron al cuidado de su abuela Rosiepuff, al inicio mantuvieron el contacto mediante llamadas, mensajes e incluso cartas, pero con el tiempo estas disminuyeron hasta que dejaron de llegar (Actualmente ya no es así, pero rara vez les contesta o lee las cartas), después de un tiempo Rosiepuff falleció cuando ella tenía unos 7 años y fue acogida por la familia de Suki quien la quiso como a una hermana, pero ya no volvió a ser la misma, se hizo retraída y callada y su color se desvaneció, ocasionando las burlas de varios y las malas miradas de otros, a los 13 conoció a Hype que la había escuchado cantar mientras estaba almorzando en la parte trasera de la escuela y le pidió/suplico unirse a una banda que iba a hacer con sus amigos, tras pensarlo MUCHO (e insistencia de Suki), acepto y crearon Kismet, junto con la imagen de superestrella perfecta para ocultar que era Branch (cosa que agradeció, lo último que quería eran bichos raros acosándola) y su fama subió como la espuma, creando así una doble vida con una banda donde no abundaban las discusiones y con amigos que aprecia mucho.

P.D: Para facilitarme la escritura, los trolls tienen rasgos mas humanizados, pero siguen teniendo sus tonos de piel y cabello color fantasía, pero para compensar en mi AU los trolls tienen cola 😋

Thinking about Branch also back to the pod and seeing pictures and old posters his family had in their house. Him seeing and hearing them for the first time in 20 years!!! It'd hurt!!

Anyone else thinking about how branch probably left everything behind when the trolls escaped the troll tree, so that moment when he’s listening to the old bro zone records might have been the first time he had heard his brothers’ voice in 20 years?

thoughts on kismet? what's their relationship with branch in both wanderer!branch and rockbeast au?

Ahh, Kismet XD;;

Honestly, didnt give them that much thought. I know that people like to write them as being basically a boy band from before the movie canon but that doesnt sit well with me?

If I were to muse about them now, I would go rather differently about them- like, maybe Branch knew only two of them since he had been little trolling (before Rosiepuff's death), and then met third after the escape, after they got put in the same foster home

Then met the last one when going to school for the first time- before he finished quickly and dropped out

Desperate to keep some ties, and probably because each member pre-Kismet was more tolerant/friendly/willing to listen than any of Branch's peers, he could call them tentativelly his friends- but unknown to him, they had the briliant idea of staring a boy band once they grew up (and I would think, since the first two would mention that Branch *used to be* full colour in the past, he would eventually gain his colours back- this would be around the time they would have been like 14/15, ie around the time Branch secluded himself away from the village completely)

Branch would flip out honestly, after finding their intent to form a Boy Band; he'd remember it as a big argument that convinced him to leave troll village for good, but in reality it was probably lot of teen angst, his trauma, and the Kismet annoyed/unable to convince him it will be fine

After the first movie, I think Kismet would approach him- not with invitation to join the band but in general to reconcile; he would still be rather clingy around Poppy (as much as Branch can be clingy) and Poppy would be clingy right back, so him being able to hang out would be on back burner still, especially as I doubt Branch would have his good days and bad days still as he heals from his trauma

I think it would require lot of leg work on Kismet's part to even convince Branch that they want him to hang around with them, as he would be full of self doubts about that, but by the time World Tour rolls around, I can see Branch at least join on song writing and choreography practice with them and some singing- not yet full band member, as they havent tried to 'recruit' him yet as not to spook him XD- but basically already part of the band, which would came to be a surprise to Branch later on pff

After World Tour, Kismet would definitelly want to try an tour the other genres in some proposed alliance between the Tribes, to get music be appreciated from all sides (other Tribes sending out their own bands and groups to do the same) but Branch didn't go as at the time the Wedding prep was in full swing and he wouldnt want to leave Poppy behind.

For both of my AU, you can assume the timeline of their relationship is very much the same

For the Rock Beast AU, they are sadly very much captured in Volcano City XD but they are at the point where Branch is already a tentative part of their group

For Wanderer!Branch, he is deep in self loathing and convinced he burned the bridge to their friendship cca 3 to 4 years ago, given the timeline of his leaving Troll Village- at it is not until he returns a much healed individual, after lot of introspection, that he reaches out to them (this is where the 'canon' differs pff)

But all in all, I think in both cases Branch is very reluctant to let them any closer to his heart- good friends, yes, but not 'you are like my brother' friends

I thought about my UA and I saw that I didn't want it to be related to the franchise.

I say this because my Kismet timeline post shows how each member is developing in each troll movie (except for the third)

And I thought I would use the three Nsync albums to make it very simple for me. (Yep I put “NSYNC” and not “Kismet” because I wanted to keep the original title)
