I've even been to japan. i know a lot of japanese students from foreign exchange programs.#on top of that im asian so its similar in a sense#don't get me wrong - sao abridged was awesome shit. i think it's incredible#but it's so fucking american. the movie references are ALL american. it's not japanese culture in the slightest.#doesn't make it wrong! this was MADE for american audiences.#it was not made for japanese people#and frankly I don't want it to be. i like that it is american. but the first. watch was a bit much because of that#it's like what i kinda wished banana fish was in a sense?#banana fish is set in america and feels kinda american despite the japanese dub#the uh. j.d. salinger reference show is what i dubbed it#it's spooky to watch america but hear japanese lemme tell you#anyway i think that sao abridged being american is good in its own way. but silly little joke hehe#sao abridged
