Since you're into combat sports (I dunno if you like wrestling, though 😅) I thought that might be right up your alley.😉👍

Watching a summary of the previous arcs leading up to it might be helpful if you aren't up to par with Kinnikuman lore, but it's definitely SUPER worth it.🥰 It's been such a long time since I had this much fun with a Battle Shonen anime.

I sincerely hope it manages to "pull a Baki on Netflix", and that the series becomes a great success on the platform, so they can continue adapting even more of it.

I was watching it every week actually, although I was disappointed that it wasn't given an English dub. Part of me gets the idea that this was more for the local Japanese audience, but to be honest, picking up in the middle of a storyline is sort of a tried and true tradition when it comes to following pro wrestling. They even got Shinsuke Nakamura to do a voice.

My understanding is that it's popular locally and will likely get another season, at least, but it needs a dub to get the big numbers.

Watched the first episode of the new Kinnikuman anime, which led me to want to hunt down the original Kinnikuman anime, which in turn led me to the website for the fansub group that is/was doing it.

It's been so long since I came across a a dedicated fansub group website, complete with an antagonistic "FAQ" page, explaining that they hardsub their MKVs to prevent people from stealing their subtitle tracks and you can suck their collective dicks if you don't like it.
