      Hands tremble as they curl into her dress where they fall in front of her. She has to hold it in, she’s the PRINCESS for cosmos’ sake! Resolute, unwavering, sturdy… but stars help her, she’s only human. Her heart can only hold back the floodgates for so long until they come crashing down at her feet.

      As the galaxy counts, it’s been years since Kinmoku’s now erased fall. People are fewer, unable to be retrieved from the galactic cauldron, but despite all the destruction, the planet itself had flourished. The losses shouldn’t impact her so heavily. They were inevitable when a force strong enough to destroy universes was rampant.

                             But it didn’t bring her back...

      Now her shoulders shook, for all the fighting to keep them steady, as crimson eyes swelled full of tears before they rolled down her cheeks, dotting the soft orange fabric. A quiet whimper rips through her throat before she can stop it. It’s visceral          unstoppable          her heart is bleeding, or at least it feels that way.

      She wants so badly to move on, to be happy. It’s what she would’ve wanted. But the princess doesn’t want to watch Yaten, or anyone, die again... especially not as a lover.

      Gasping for air, Kakyuu turns a blurry, pained gaze on her guardian, voice crackling around the edges, “I am too scared to lose you again...”

MY HEALTH IS VERY BAD AND I’M CONSTANTLY ILL. i am in and out of the doctors monthly because of this, and i’m very busy with school right now since i’m approaching the end of the year. i have a very bad attention span too, and take an especially long time replying to threads with those i haven’t talked to before... cause hi anxiety, its me.

i also have other blogs, but as of the moment prompto is my most ‘ active ‘ in a sense, since hyperfixations are shifting all over the place

Yaten pursed her lips. Seiya sure had been acting strange lately, and she had no problem pointing out the crux of the issue. Tsukino Usagi. She gripped her pen so hard it threatened to snap. They should have been focusing on the state of Kinmoku, and their Princess, but Seiya appeared to be in her own world. Yaten just didn't get it. A beat passed. Then another in tense silence. Finally, her irritation got the better of her. She picked her book up and with a loud wham!, slammed it on the table in front of the other. ❝ Hey! Can we focus here? Get your head out of the clouds and stop thinking about Tsukino! ❞ / from kinmokujin :)))

Lately, it's gotten easier to ignore her outbursts. Seiya knows ignoring it will antagonize her further, knows she shouldn't antagonize Yaten, knows that her volatility comes from a place of grief and frustration. But Yaten isn't the only one grieving. Yaten isn't the only one frustrated at the stagnation of their search. Yaten isn't the only one aching for home.

Yaten isn't the only one itching for a fight.

❛ You think I'm distracted, but you don't notice the Princess's perfume every time she — every time Tsukino Usagi walks by? ❜ Now Seiya looks up at her, fierce blue eyes ablaze; a supernova. Before she realizes it, she's on her feet, hands slamming onto the table, leaning forward as words she knows she will regret the instant she cools down tumble from her lips in an almost breathless rush.

  ❛ Is that why our song isn't reaching her? Because of you? ❜ The accusation isn't fair and Seiya knows she isn't being fair. She doesn't mean it. But her grieving heart rages back at her: how fair has Yaten been? How fair has Taiki been? And so, she cannot stop; a would-be leader at her breaking point. ❛ Are you even trying, Healer? ❜

          How could she ever explain, or begin to encapsulate the degree to which she missed seeing, hearing, or talking to her Starlights? Words failed her in that capacity, none of her known languages containing anything that could touch what she felt quite right. Petite fingers flex around one another to keep them steady, halfheartedly settling on the simple side of an answer rather than attempting to explain how deeply her heart felt it. Though she’s sure her voice is betraying it well enough.
