Hi! I was wondering how to write a campaign if you can’t predict where your players want to go, like I have a whole story set out and different possibilities but if my players choose an entirely different route than what I thought of do I just improvise on the spot?

thats entirely how dming goes. you arent supposed to lay out the whole story at once, take it a few sessions at a time, plan out one or two story arcs at a time. plan vaguely, the more specifics you plan the harder it will be to recover from your players deviating from them. a gm for any game has to be prepared to think quickly and improvise, no matter how thoroughly you plan your players will always think of something else, as my players remind me every single session. when i plan for my campaigns, i think of the very vague outline of where the story is going, then the less vague outline of the next 1-5 sessions, and then figure it out as we go. i never work on specifics more than roughly 5 sessions in advance. the more attached to a single course of action you get, the harder it will be to go with the flow in the likely event your players deviate from it

Hi! I just got a tumblr account and I think its really cool how so many people knit! At school some people seem to think I'm weird because I know how to knit. I never knew so many people know how to knit! How do people get to knit in class? I can't even fit my knitting in my locker! I think your account is an inspiration for alternatively minded people everywhere!

Based on people’s comments it sounds like many are able to knit in school by getting permission from their teachers/school administrators ahead of time.  If fitting your knitting in a locker is an issue perhaps try smaller projects?  ;)

As for this blog being an inspiration to you, I’m beyond flattered!   But in my mind, all you incredible people creating beautiful things with nothing but yarn, a few simple tools, and your imaginations are the real inspiration.
