i like the details in osvald's story in menus and stuff. the "osvald is being imprisoned, if you choose to help him you will be trapped in his story until chapter 2" thing is the best character intro in terms of making me so curious i couldnt resist stopping dead for an hour to see what was up. and now the chapter 2 starting with a quest popup that just says "go home."

#c.paradisi #octoposting #kinda mixed feelings bc his wife and daughter being fridged isnt really doing it for me #but i like everything else so #also bc ive already been to conning creek a lot i had already found his burned house and been like. huh. wonder what happened here #another thing i like about 2 it's a lot better at establishing story locations and secondary characters in advance #instead of having them kind of spawn when the story demands them #so you get a lot more 'ohhhhhh so thats what this place was' or 'hey thats the guy whose nuts i stole'#instead of 'where did this fucking tavern come from & how did i miss the girl with bright purple hair in a town of 12 people'
