I wish the me of 12 years ago had been told this. It’s more important advice then I think a lot of people realize (especially if you’re autistic and subconsciously use some of the media you consume to inform how to interact with people)

Yeah, I think a lot of people are going to think that post is just common sense. But there are definitely people out there who need to hear it. I wish a younger me had heard it. I have autism, and fiction was my escapist survival tool growing up. I was also very sheltered, and had no healthy examples of real life relationships modeled for me, so with all those factors in place my expectations of real relationships were so warped. I was not ready, and my naivete was fully taken advantage of. I'm honestly lucky to be alive after what I went through. I hope that post reaches whoever needs to hear it, before they have to learn the hard way like we did.
