I did the comfort character meme.
I have a lot of comfort characters but my bf specifically chose Saber from Fate/Samurai Remnant and Neo Gundam from SD Gundam Gaiden Kikoushin Densetsu.

NEW GANSO SD GUNDAM INFO HAS DROPPED FROM THE TAMASHII NATIONS TWITTER
So two months ago, they showed off this image on the page of the Superior Edition of Gungenesis.
Obviously, this hinted at them making a kit for the final Armor God, Arteia.
In the article I linked, they officially announced that they will be making a kit for Arteia and they released a preview of the combined form, Gungenesis Final!
Also there will apparently be a small figure for Luna to put in the cockpit like with Chaosgaia.
But you can also put this Luna in Elgaia since he was supposed to be the pilot of Elgaia.
They also released a preview illustration of the build instruction manual with this drawing of Luna.
God, I love this so much you do not understand. Luna Gundam is probably one of my favorite lesser appreciated SD Gundam Gaiden characters and I love his prince form.
I want these two lower arts from Puzzle Heroes to be released officially at some point.

I know I don't do this much, but I'd like to promote this tweet I made, mostly to bring attention to preserving the lost media of iMode and EZweb games.
Let me know if you know anything about finding this game or at least how to watch videos without an account on Internet Archive Nico Douga.

SD Gundam Gaiden Knight Gundam Kikoushin Densetsu: The Imported Translation Thread
I posted this thread on Twitter back in 2019, and with the site's future currently being questionable, I thought I would begin importing the threads here so my original translation wouldn't be lost. These specifically used the new collected volumes from 2017. I have the OG tankobons as well.
This manga was serialized in Comic Bom Bom from 1993 to 1994. It's an adaption of the Knight Gundam carddas series of the same name. The mangaka is Hoshino Ryuichi (ほしの竜一), who does all of the other manga adaptions of Knight Gundam manga. (And before anyone else asks, yes, there is a seinen mangaka named Hoshino Ryuichi (星野竜一), and no, they are not the same person. They're as related as two classmates with the same first name.)

SD Gundam Gaiden Knight Gundam Kikoushin Densetsu: Comparison Thread
This will be a thread all about compairing the differences between the manga version of Kikoushin Densetsu and the cardass version of Kikoushin Densetsu.
It will also include some SD Gundam lore.
The first order of business is the first character cut from the manga, Mage Fencer Meteor Gundam. While not directly important to the main plot, he was significant in the fact that he was one of the members of the first Knights of the Round Table.
Additionally, he had left Britis before it fell simply because he wanted to study his sword magic more.
The second character cut is Tactician Quattro, the disguise of Knight Char who was watching for Sieg Zeon's incoming revival. Upon his revival, he joins the fight on the side of the heroes.
In Seikihei to Kikoushin, he was the one who found where Sieg Zeon had fallen and finished him off juuuust to be sure that the villain was taking a permanent dirt nap if you know what I mean.
The third cut is Death Machine Soldier Evil Shadow. This was the controlled form of Jupiterus in the carddas series and game.
Next order of business is Knight Gerbera. It was never revealed in the manga, but his real name is Knight GP04 and he used to be a Knight of Dabat. The reason he left was because of that whole "Knight of Destiny" thing he talked about.
GP01 with a Machine Soldier's Spear from the second chapter. Also cut, though it is minor.
Neo and Luna's past from the Carddas version is near identical to the manga. The brothers are twin princes from the moon kingdom Selenis whose memories were sealed by the king of the moon and traveled to the Saddrac World long ago to live in peace.
Luna and Neo's original forms. They left the moon due to the Ancient Moon war with Gjallarhorn, controlled by the "Evil of the Moon" making it uninhabitable. They travelled together in Gungenesis. More of this is discussed in New World Advent Legend, which will be its own thread.
Another piece of interesting lore. The 2010 Complete Box Set release introduced a seventh Armor God, Arteia. When the Armor Gods would combine, it would go onto the back to increase mobility and create Gungenesis Final, which is quite cool.
Additionally, when it was built, Arteia was meant to be piloted by Neo. Elgaia was meant to be piloted by Luna. (This is reflected on the Ganso Revival kit for Elgaia, where Luna is listed as a pilot). So what happened to Arteia? That'll be next...
From the Elgaia Ganso kit.
While escaping from the moon, Gungenesis was attacked from the back, damaging Arteia. At some point, Neo and Luna had changed mechas, with Luna falling to the planet with Arteia. Despite being damaged, Arteia's life support still functioned, putting Luna in cold sleep.
Both Luna and Neo (who was captured) were in cold sleep, which is how they survived for thousands of years. Eventually, Delaz found Arteia's wreckage, and you know what happened to Luna. But what about Arteia?
The wreckage of Arteia was converted into Chaosgaia. So, in reality, Chaosgaia is Arteia rebuilt into evil. This is the interesting thing I mentioned. With it being destroyed, I sadly don't think Gungenesis Final will ever appear again...
This is the end of the lore related to Kikoushin Densetsu. There is some stuff about the Ancient Moon War that caused Luna and Neo to leave in the first place, but I'm saving that for when I eventually do a New World Advent Legend thread if I'm bugged enough to do it. (Which I'll won't be too surprised if people don't since not many people know about it and a lot of its design bases come from Gundam IBO.)
Anyway, end of thread.

SD Gundam Gaiden Knight Gundam Kikoushin Densetsu: Extra 4
Extra 4: Neo-kun Returns to the Moon
Amuro and Indy notice that Neo cries when he sees the moon and think it's because he's reminded of Selenis. They plan to send him to the moon and ask GM Cannon II if he can use his magic to make a rocket. He produces a racket.
They beat up GM Cannon and then find out that GP01 will launch Neo out of the Orchis's cannon instead. The launch is successful.
Roux finds out and panics, as the moon was a crescent moon and now Neo is hanging from it.
The next chapter is a sequel where Neo fights the remaining forces of Gjallarhorn on the moon on foot a la Mellowlink.
*There is no next chapter
Bonus: My handwritten notes for "Neo-kun Returns to the Moon" from my translation of the original tankobon release. Posted honestly because this extra chapter is golden.

SD Gundam Gaiden Knight Gundam Kikoushin Densetsu: Seikihei to Kikoushin Notes
These are the notes for the now-probably lost cell phone game Seikihei to Kikoushin. I translated these a while back when game footage was still available.
Hopefully some day there will be a way to experience the game itself.
Neo's reaction to the activation of Gungenocider.
Seikihei to Kikoushin is interesting because it's the only Knight Gundam RPG with an alternate ending to my knowledge. The player can have Luna live by selecting the second option. He'll mostly be resting afterwards, but he'll live.
The alternate route will give you this for the final battle. Even with the limited power of cell phone graphics, this was amazing.
Part of the Alternate Ending.
The canon version of the Gungenocider battle is heartbreaking.
And that is all the notes I have. I do have some notes related to the IF Route of this game, but I feel like that can be its own thread.
For now, this thread is complete.

SD Gundam Gaiden Knight Gundam Kikoushin Densetsu: Extra 2
Extra 2: Seal of Makai
Post Seikihei Monogatari, the Lacroa Knights head back through Naraca valley because Indy heard a monster crying. Indy says not all monsters are bad, just under evil influence. The group finds a dead family of monsters and are attacked.
Amuro is sucked into a hole in the wall and the rest are taken out. Guntank sends a Messenger Haro to Dabat for assistance. Naraca Valley is where Satan is sealed and it'll be bad if he's revived, so Roux summons Cloud Buster to take GP01 there quickly.
Amuro meets Satan, who tempts him with enough power to beat Sieg Zeon and his monsters upon revival. Amuro remembers what Indy said and rejects, leading him to get beaten up until GP01 arrives. Two of the four seals have broken and Satan can move out of the barrier.
During the fight, a third seal is broken, leaving Satan stronger. Amuro shields them with a fragment and the spirit of Superior Dragon appears. He says GP01 will see him and Gunrex again and will lend him power this time to defeat Satan.
GP01 defeats Satan for good and Cloud Buster seals the door to Makai. The group questions Sieg Zeon's revival, but conclude that they are prepared for it due to their passionate friendship.

SD Gundam Gaiden Knight Gundam Kikoushin Densetsu: Extra 1
Hey, look at that. An extra post. I'm mostly doing this because this one will be short. These first four extra threads will cover the bonus material in the tankobon releases, all of which are compiled in the second half of the rerelease. If you're looking for the thread where I ramble on about the differences between the manga and the carddas series plus some official SD Gundam lore, that thread is coming later. Keep an eye on the Table of Contents thread for that.
The first of these extras is a showcase of all the Armor Gods that appear in this work.
The last one is Chaosgaia and Gungenocider. Most I will say is that this thing is why I'm excited to write the lore thread. Other than the fact that I'll give me an excuse to write about New Testament SD Gundam Gaiden: New World Advent Legend, and that's probably the most underrated Knight Gundam work and I hate that because I love it so much.
Bonus: Covers and backs of my copies the original tankobon releases. This was posted as the 6th extra in the original thread, but I thought I would put it here just to keep the sort of pacing I have.
End of Extra 1.

SD Gundam Gaiden Knight Gundam Kikoushin Densetsu: Chapter 12
Title: Echo of Holy Spirits
The Armor Gods free Elgaia and ROKUSHIN GATTAIIII!! They become Gungenesis and melt the dark shield. Sieg Brain then transforms.
Into Sieg Zeon Mabuze. The strength released causes the moon to start moving again. The appearance of Saddrac now reminds Neo of Selenis's final moments.
Black Plasma was set up around Gungenesis and enters the cockpit. Sieg Zeon's plan was to take out the core for Elgaia: Neo.
As Nina's group awaits the end, they see GP03 and Roux coming towards them. GP03 asks the queen for her hand. The spirits and the living are joining together to give Gunrex strength to stop the moon.
Neo breaks free from the Black Plasma thanks to Luna's soul. Luna tells Neo they can't let Saddrac fall to the same fate as Selenis and helps him remember the main weapon is the Genesis Blade. Sieg Zeon tries to dissolve into the atmosphere to escape.
Then Luna's soul appears to stop him and tells Neo to finish it. However, Luna's soul will vanish if that happens...
"Don't worry about me, you have to kill me with Sieg Zeon! Us, as brothers, must protect our new home with our own hands...Neo!"
"Brother, I swear to you!! I will not allow this evil power to stain Saddrac again!!"
With Sieg Zeon destroyed, the red moon returns to normal and goes back into the sky.
The Armor Gods, Gunrex, and the spirits have returned to their separate places to watch over Saddrac. Much like Neo and his new allies will do.
"My home, the Saddrac World..."
*Kikoushin Densetsu - Fin - *
End of chapter 12.
While the main story will be over, I'll be covering the extra chapters that are in the final compilation volume over the next couple of days. After that will be the mega-thread which includes differences between the manga and carddas series plus Seikihei to Kikoushin notes. The manga thread will also include translations of official SD Gundam lore because I'm like that.

SD Gundam Gaiden Knight Gundam Kikoushin Densetsu: Chapter 11
Subtitle: The Blood-Red God of Death
Sieg Zeon has been reduced to a brain, but still refuses to die, pelting the group with rocks and revealing his final attempt to destroy the world...
A red moon appears from the black clouds. He plans to drop it on the world and it begins to mess with nature. Prince Kou mentions that there is a legend about this in his home of Albion, the red god of death. Nina mentions the spirit dragon will stop it.
The group splits up. The Armor Gods, Amuro, Roux, and the Knights of Destiny will do damage control to protect the inhabitants while Neo engages Sieg Brain. However, Sieg Brain can shield himself and creates one around Elgaia to make him watch the destruction.
Damage control will only work for so long, so a great force needs to stop the moon. GP01 thinks of Gunrex, with Roux offering to summon it using her Guardian Spirit, Roux Dragon. Doing so will cost her her life, but she does it to save the world.
GP01 panics over losing contact with Roux, but then vanishes into Gunrex's cockpit, being greeted by Superior Dragon. Roux's gamble was a success. To Sieg Zeon's surprise, the moon's descent is slowed.
Neo summons all of the Armor Gods to his side to begin his attack against Sieg Zeon.
