Hello, it is I, the anon that sent the original ask for the kidnapped Isa and Lola AU and I have another kidnaping AU idea I must share with the world that revolves around teen Dolores and child Camilo because them being younger makes this even more traumatizing and angst-y :)
A mother and son have just died in an accident leaving a man heartbroken and without his family. While walking around the village he bumps into Dolores and notices that she has a similar appearance to his wife when she was a teenager. He goes to leave to his house, in the woods might I add, because of the reminder of his wife but out of the corner of his eyes he notices Camilo shapeshifting into other kids to entertain them. You understand where I’m going here, the two siblings get kidnapped when on a walk together. Dolores has to wear his wife’s old dresses, style her hair how the wife wore it everyday, wear her makeup and act like her while Camilo is literally forced to shape shift into his dead son and has to call him dad and call Dolores mom. Perhaps they only get rescued when a certain 5 year old gets his gift and a bird or another animal tells him about the nice lady and boy in the woods who feeds them everyday :)
They’re around 14 and 8 when this happens and I haven’t thought of names for the man, wife and son because I do not know Spanish names
Holy shit…
I actually considered not doing this one because of how dark it is, but then I figured I’ve done kidnapped Isa and Lola, so why not.
But now, I’m going to switch Dolores with Agustín. LoLo needs a break from suffering :(
Encanto fandom, plz don’t cancel me-
Trigger warnings: drugging, kidnapping, abuse, blackmailing, heavily implied rape, gaslighting, victim-blaming.
Just because the Encanto was a secluded village in the mountains build by war survivors, didn’t mean that there were only good people living there…
That had been proven when Reina's husband Felipe, and their 5 year old son Pablo, were killed in an accident involving a poisonous snake…
The now widowed woman was hit with grief, and lived alone in a house she lived together with her beloved husband and son.
After a month of not going outside and grieving, Reina's food and water ran out, and she had to go to the town to buy new supplies.
When she's walking around the town, she bumped into Agustín. Reina noticed how he looked a lot like her husband.
She was about to leave the town to got to her house, until she saw out of the corner of her eyes a a 5 year old Camilo shapeshifting into other kids to entertain them.
A realization than hit Reina. she could get her family back!
She knew that Agustín was quite accident-prone, so she decided to stage an "accident".
When the moment was right, Reina "accidentally" bumped into him, and let him apologize for it, she offered him an Arepa (which was spiked) as a "It's okay".
Unfortunately, Agustín fell for it, and ate the arepa...
Reina took him to her house in the woods, where she locked him in "their" bedroom.
As for Camilo, she took the 5 year old when he was walking to Casita on his own...
When Reina finally got the two people she wanted, she'd make sure to get her family back...
Agustín had to dress like Reina’s dead husband, style his hair how the late man wore it every day, and had to act like him…
Camilo was literally forced to shapeshift into Reina’s dead son, having to call her mamí and call Agustín papí…
And when they didn’t comply, there would be consequences…
“If you don’t quit your nonsense right now, I’ll tell Julieta about how you left her for another woman. Just imagine how heartbroken she’d be.” Reina threatened Agustín one time when he refused to comply. “After all, a man can’t be kidnapped and raped. He would fight her off instead of letting her ride him like you let me.”
At first, Agustín didn’t believe her, and even attempted to leave with Camilo (which ended quite badly…), but as more and more time passed, he started to doubt…
As for Camilo, he had to shape shift into a different kid and being called Pablo. Every night when he was alone in “his” room, the 5 year old would remind himself that he was Camilo Madrigal and that Tío Agustín wasn’t his papi and that the crazy lady wasn’t his mami. But as the weeks, months, and eventually a year passed, Camilo reminded himself less and less. His memories of his actual parents, his sister and the rest of the family started to fade. And he began to believe that Agustín “Felipe” was his papá, Reina was his mamá, and that his name was Pablo…
This would cause a heavy identity crisis in the future…
About 4 years passed, and when Camilo “Pablo” was 9, he received the news that he was going to be a big brother.
While he and Reina were excited about the news, Agustín was absolutely shocked and silently panicked. He never wanted this, he didn’t want to bring another child into this…
but alas, it would happen, and 8 months later, a beautiful baby girl was born, who Agustín named Alejandra.
despite everything, Agustín didn’t hold anything against her. She was just an innocent child born into this crappy situation…
despite all of it, she was a little miracle…
after Alejandra was born, Reina started selling hand-made stuff in town to earn money, leaving Agustín to take care of the two kids.
And if he was honest, those times were he got to spend with his kids when Reina was gone were the best moments Agustín got out of this hell…
one day, when he and the kids were taking a walk in the jungle, a jaguar cub followed Agustín, even latching on to his leg as if the cub wanted something.
Eventually, the jaguar cub left, and that seemed to be the end of it. But not quite.
That jaguar cub would grow up to be Parce, and would befriend a certain Madrigal boy the same age as Alejandra who just got his gift…

It is a dilemma, what to call Camilo.
He cannot call him Camilo - his real name, his true name, the name his parents, his real parents, gave him - because she will know, she always knows. It may take time, but she always finds out eventually. Whether Camilo will let something slip or she will notice something different in his behavior, it doesn't matter. She will know, and it is not worth the trouble.
Besides, the poor boy is confused enough as it is, and calling him one name when she is home and another when she is out will only worsen matters. Better for him to have stability, even if the name is the wrong one.
Sometimes, he wonders if Camilo even remembers his real name. Or his real parents. Or life Before.
It doesn't matter.
But he refuses to call him Pablo. He cannot. Camilo is not Pablo, he is Camilo Madrigal, only son of Félix and Pepa Madrigal - oh, how Pepa will bring the heavens down on her head when she finds her son, and he cannot wait to see the day - grandson of Alma and Pedro Madrigal, and he cannot force himself to perpetuate this lie. The real Pablo - poor, sweet child, dead at five in a horrific carriage accident that took his life and the life of his father the next day - is probably watching from above aghast at what his mother, driven to insanity by grief, is doing, has done, because she loved her son and her husband too much to let them go, to live without them.
So he calls him "mijo."
Mijo, mi hijo, but simply mijo, a term of endearment for any younger male relative. She finds that acceptable, and yet it does not force him to call his nephew by a name other than his own. So mijo it always is.
.
Isabela is the eldest. She is her mother's right hand. She keeps the family together in times of crisis.
At least, that's what happened when her father and primo disappeared at once and she took care of Luisa and Mirabel in the following weeks, making sure they ate and sending them to bed on time and doing their laundry so they had what to wear and helping Luisa with her homework.
Even after all the chaos died down, she still remained at her mother's side, taking on more burdens than an older sister should.
After all, her mother had no one to help her anymore. Isabela had to do what she could.
It occurs to her, though, about a year and a half later, that maybe helping with the housework and letting her mother cry where her sisters can't see isn't the most important thing she can be doing.
She sees Mirabel skipping home from school, the sunshine - rare, these days - on her face, smiling as she chatters about some kind of project the teacher is having them all work on, and she realizes-
Mirabel is perfectly fine.
A little quieter than she was, of course; the disappearance of her father and her playmate on the same day did have an impact. But she was only five. Six, now. Little kids are resilient. Little kids move on with their lives and make new friends. Little kids don't remain stuck in the past forever.
Little kids forget things.
Mirabel might barely remember Papá one day. Isabela had to make sure that didn't happen.
She was the oldest. She had the most memories of him. She had to make sure that Mirabel didn't lose those she had.
So she tells Mirabel stories about their papá, trying to remember each and every detail, what exactly he looked like, what he was doing, what he said.
She points out similarities in looks and actions between her and her sisters, although never when Mamá is within earshot, unless Mamá is in a reminiscing mood.
She plays the same sort of games with Mirabel that Papá played with her when she was little.
Someone has to make sure that Mirabel remembers Papá, and Isabela's going to be the one to do it.
.
They know Camilo isn't dead, because of his door.
If his door was dim and dark, they would know he was dead and gone. Met with a terrible accident, maybe, when he was exploring in the woods alone, against the rules. Sad. Tragic. Awful. But over and done with.
They would be able to grieve him. They would be able to mourn him. They would be able to remember him fondly. Maybe they would even find his body, one day, and be able to give him a proper burial.
But he's not dead. He's alive. They know he's alive. They just don't know where he is.
His image on his door changes and grows, as he would have. Taller, thinner, looking just like his father.
Mirabel waves "good morning" to her cousin's door every day. Dolores taps the image of him in greeting. Félix sometimes whispers to the wooden engraving of his son, and his daughter does him the decency of trying not to hear. And Pepa-
Pepa cannot even look at the door, or it will start raining; she will cry for hours upon hours.
Avoidance doesn't help on his birthday, though. Without fail, every single year on that date, it rains so hard that the river nearly floods.
.
It's not fair to Antonio. Everyone knows it's not fair, but they can't help themselves. It's not Antonio's fault that he looks so much like his brother.
Until he was about four, he thought that an absentminded "Milo" meant the same thing as "mijo." They would be thinking of their lost son, lost in reveries, or even looking directly at Antonio, but he looks so much like Camilo-
Pepa is even more protective of him than she is over her daughter and nieces. She's lost one son. She won't lost another. Antonio isn't allowed out of Casita alone until...well, ever, actually.
Everything Antonio does is compared to Camilo. It's made even worse by the fact that Camilo, and now him, were the only boys. No brothers or primos to distract Pepa and Félix. There is only one Madrigal grandson, and he is the spitting image of his lost brother. He could almost be him reborn.
Pepa and even Félix sometimes find themselves tearing up at the mere sight of him. He is a living reminder of what they have lost.
Sometimes Antonio looks up at the picture of Camilo on the family tree and wonders what a big brother would be like. Would he be nice? Would he play with him, like Mirabel does?
Would Mami love Antonio as much as she loves Camilo, if Camilo was here with them?
As Antonio approaches his fifth birthday, he looks more and more like his brother. Five was, after all, the age Camilo was when he disappeared. Pepa and Félix get more and more overprotective of Antonio, and no one can blame them. But it is healthy for a child to play with others his own age, and eventually they are persuaded to let Antonio play with the children in the marketplace, so long as one or the other of them is overseeing. They will take no chances.
On his fifth birthday, in Antonio's place everyone sees Camilo in his pristine ceremony outfit, excitedly opening his door, and it is all Pepa can do not to flood the river again. Félix actually breaks down and has to leave the room for a few minutes. Dolores gives her brother a hug and a smile tinged with sadness, and Antonio wonders, yet again, if his family likes Camilo better than they like him.
.
The baby cries.
It was different, Before. Before, the babies cried, and he would walk back and forth across the room patting her on the back and singing softly to her. Before, he was with his wife, the most perfect woman in the entire world, despite Félix's objections. Before, he was in his home, in a house with his family and his brothers, where everyone was safe and happy and he could see the love of his life every day.
Now, he is trapped inside this small isolated house, seeing no one other than the two - three, now - faces he sees every day. He has not been outdoors in years, and he thinks it is slowly driving him mad. The baby's cries make the haze in his head even worse than it already is; it's like moving through a fog, most days, he can't remember everything, and he has a splitting headache. Her cries are shrill and plaintive and never-ending, and no amount of walking her across the room or rocking her or trying to give her her bottle helps. She only cries more, vocalizing his misery.
The baby looks more like him, he thinks, gracias a Dios. He's not sure how he would handle a miniature version of her toddling around in a few years. This whole - situation, he thinks, and nearly laughs aloud - is hard enough as it is. An innocent infant, born into this - this - well, situation, and this time he really does laugh, and the boy - not Pablo, Camilo, Camilo, frowns at him, worried, but he can't think straight anymore, he hasn't been able to in years. She enters the room with a croon of "Mi amor!" and he flinches, and the baby cries, and cries, and cries.
.
"Parce says there's people there," Antonio explained, from atop said jaguar's back. "He says they never come out except one lady, and everyone else always stays inside. Sometimes they feed the birds from the window."
To judge by the small cloud of birds gathered hopefully by the small house, "sometimes" meant "multiple times a day."
"And Parce knows this how exactly?" Isabela wanted to know.
"He was hunting the birds," Antonio admitted. Parce indeed looked rather hungry. "But he promised he'll be on his best behavior now!"
Antonio had come explaining that his new animal friends had told him of a little isolated house deep in the woods, just within the Encanto's borders, just far enough to be out of range of Dolores' hearing. A woman named Reina lived there; she'd become something of a recluse after the deaths of her husband and son a decade earlier, although at the time the Madrigals had been rather occupied. According to Antonio, more people lived there than just her - a man, possibly two, or maybe a boy; the age of the second male was indeterminate, somewhere between childhood and adulthood; as well as a little girl, and Antonio had been delighted with the prospect of making a new friend.
"We don't know these people," Luisa fretted. "We're just barging in on them. They're probably perfectly nice ordinary people just trying to eat their lunch and we're coming in with a jaguar."
"Who never come out?" Isabela had to admit, that was strange.
"They could be sick or something," Luisa suggested. "I don't know. Shouldn't we at least-"
Dolores, heretofore silent, made a kind of strangled gasp, and everyone looked at her, even Parce.
"What is it?" Isabela started to ask.
"It's him," Dolores said, and began to run.
.
There is a knock at the door - not a knock, more of a frantic banging - and everyone freezes. Such a thing has never happened, not once.
Alejandra freezes, eyes wide, and - not her brother, although he cares for her as if he is, but he's not her brother, picks up her doll and motions for her to go into the other room, while glancing over at him all the while. He should do something, he should know what to do, he's responsible for the children, he's the man of the house, and oh, what a lie that is. At least she is at the market now.
There is more banging, and voices shouting. "Can you hear us? Are you there? Papá!"
Papá.
The door appears to be being yanked out of the doorway from the other side. Wood splinters. Considering the hinges are on this side, that is quite an impressive feat, even for someone as strong as his little Luisita.
Camilo is frozen, eyes wide, hair curling and color seeping into his skin as he assumes anything close to his true form for the first time in years. Alejandra pokes her head in from around the doorway, looking terrified.
"It's all right," he tells them, and for the first time, it is true. "It's all right. We're going home."
.
He looks old.
Logically, Luisa knows this makes sense. It's been ten years. People age. She herself has aged. She herself isn't nine years old anymore. She's grown up without him.
But in her mind's eye, she's always pictured him exactly as he was the last time she saw him, taller than her, dark-haired, laugh lines on his face and love in his eyes as he swung Mirabel around in the dining room before bidding everyone farewell to go help Señor Rojas fix something out on his farm, no, Luisa, you can't come, I know you're strong, but you're too young, maybe next time-
And then he'd been gone.
Now she is taller than him, and he has gray streaks in his hair, and he looks old, and not merely with age; the same kind of old that had Abuela aging a decade in as many days when he and Camilo vanished. He looks tired, and careworn, and afraid, and his eyes are full of terrible things.
Then he weeps.
.
He sees Isabela, and thinks she is Julieta.
He still remembers her as his little girl, only eleven, gangling and awkward - although thankfully having not quite inherited his clumsiness - with hair that refused to be tamed. Now she is a woman, tall and beautiful, grown into her limbs and moving gracefully, lustrous dark hair dotted with flowers. He remembers Julieta on their wedding day, and she looked just like that; she is Julieta's spitting image. But no, this is not possible, not unless Julieta has grown two decades younger-
And then she says "Papá?" and he knows.
"Isabela," he breathes in disbelief. "It's you. Isabela. You've grown up. You're so beautiful, mija, mija..."
Then he can't say anything else, not even to Luisa, because he is crying.
.
A splitting headache and fatigue, but he works through it; this is more important. He drops the emerald tablet, and it shatters into countless priceless shards that he carelessly kicks aside as he shouts, already running, "Juli! Pepa!"
.
For the past decade, he's had nothing but memories to keep him going. Julieta looks different now than she has in them. Of course; she's been frozen in time, in them, but it's been ten years.
Her hair is gray, more so than either of her siblings. She looks old before her time. But her face lights up when she sees him, and she suddenly looks a decade younger.
"Mi amor," she whispers tremulously, and something inside him stills, find peace, is complete, and Agustín smiles.

Bruno's little girl is all grown up;
Summary; Even in a world where Claudine didn't grow up on the isle, she and Lefou Deux were destined to meet.
Trigger warning; Kidnapping, implied racism, implied abuse, etc.
Inspired by and meant to be a sequel to @dragoneyes618 's oneshot au where Claudine gets her gift after being adopted by Bruno.
🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁
Claudine Esther-Mary Madrigal had few memories of her life before the Madrigals. And all of them were vague.
A Creperie were she did all the work despite being too tiny to reach the stove.
A Church that turned away people who looked different. Turned away people who looked like her new family did.
A closet that was small even for a toddler-- more like a cupboard, actually--filled with crosses thay made her heart tighten.
A looming shadow.
A woman falling.
Another woman teaching her how to speak english and a few other languages in bits and pieces, warning her not to tell him.
None of them painted a pretty picture. Especially not when put together with the faded scars she had and her family's retelling of her 'surprise adoption'.
So it should be no surprise that Claudine never really went digging into her past. Nor should it that she never bothered asking. After all, who would want to know more about such terrible things when there was a high chance that it would only drudge up things that should stay forgotten? Things that they didn't want to know about... Things that they didn't want to remember.
But that didn't mean that she knew nothing about it. About where she came from.
When Prince Ben first made his proclaimation, word traveled fast-- even to the Encanto--and Her Papá had sat her down and finally explained just where he had gotten her.
Claudine had been in shock for awhile afterwards. Not quite knowing what to think about the whole thing.
What was one supposed to think when finding out that they had essitently been kidnapped from a villainous religious zealot who had been locked away among other villians who also had children? Children who weren't lucky enough to have been saved like she had been.
But once that shock wore off, she became invested in every thing to do with the isle. And had quite possibly cheered the loudest when the barrier had been brought down for good.
Which led into the current predicament her family was arguing about where little ears couldn't hear:
New people had come to the Encanto.
All under 30.
3 boys not much older than her (twins 20, lone boy 19).
1 not much younger (16).
1 only nine years old.
1 girl not much younger (15).
And 5 little girls (twins 7, one 6, one 5, and one 3).
All in bad shape, the oldests willing to work. All refusing to say where they came from or how they knew of this place.
Abuela, cautious as ever in her old age, didn't like it. Feared that their sanctuary could be fully exposed if they allowed them to stay.
No one else in the family agreed, even as she tried to get them to see her point of view. She even slipped up and asked Dolores to evasedrop on them, something she hadn't done since Claudine was little.
Of course, Dolores refused and (gently) reminded her that times had changed. And then everyone else had gotten a chance to argue their case.
Tío Agustín and Tía Julieta argued they couldn't stay hidden forever, which Prima Isabela agreed with-- sighting the fact that if these kids and her luv, Bubo, had found them that others would come after. Whether or not they liked it.
Primo Antonio and Camilo along with Prima Dolores and her luv, Mariano, that it was nice to see some new faces around. And that they could do some good for the town.
Luisa and Maribel just thought that they should give them a chance, which Claudine herself silently agreed with.
Tía Pepa and Tío Félix then made the strongest point. Getting emotional as usual, which was certainly warranted in this situation.
"Mamá, they're your Bisnietos' ages and they clearly need help. How can you be suggesting that we turn them away! Isn't that what the Encanto is for? Protecting people"
Abuela cut in "It's for protecting our people--" but Pepa wasn't having it.
"The moment they stepped foot in the Encanto they became OUR people!"
Félix hastily added in his own two cents "and if the Encanto allowed them in, then they must really need the help. Besides, when has the Encanto ever let anyone dangerous in? How dangerous could a bunch of children even be?"
"We don't even know where they came from!" The Matriarch of the family protested, though it was weaker than it was.
Claudine looked over at her Papá to see what he thought, since he hadn't spoken up yet, just in time to see him stand. He said one thing and one thing only that would shock them all:
"They're from the isle of the lost".
🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁
Abuela ended up letting the gaggle of children stay after that and few in the Encanto protested.
They all remembered what Claudine was like when Bruno first brought her here. And even if they didn't, there were things that convinced them not to kick up a fuss about the arrangement.
Things like the scars that varied in age that couldn't be explained away by falls and other bouts of childhood clumsiness that mirrored the faded ones Claudine herself had.
Things like the haunted looks in the older kids' eyes that Claudine saw every day in the mirror in her own reflection.
Things like the slowly fading bruises and the whispers of dead siblings and cousins who never reached adult hood.
Things like the broken arm the littlest boy had and the large hand shaped bruise on the youngest girl's cheek.
🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁
Claudine wasn't sure how to feel about the new arrivals. Other than intrigued and sad, that is.
Would she had turned out as snarky and skittish and bitter as the oldest ones were had her Papá never came to save her?
Or would she have turned out worse somehow? Meeker like Carlos had first been? Quieter like her father had once been?
Or would she had died long before she got to thay point?
The possibilities haunted her, almost as much as the implications of what the new comers' had been through did.
🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁
Claudine was a curious girl.
She was even what some would call nosey.
But she just preferred the term 'thorough In her research'.
Which is what she did when someone (a friendly and unsuspecting Luisa) was finally able to pry last names out of the new comers.
Leprince. LeGume. Bimbette.
Those were their last names. Or at least the ones they had given. And with those last names, 18 year old Claudine was able to find a series of documents that proved her father's words true.
As well as many of the rumors that had been flying around town since the children had gotten here.
Birth certificates.
Badly done School Records.
Medical files published by one Harry Badun.
A Kidnapping report on King Ben that named Gil as one of the ones who had nabbed him.
A report on what had happened during the 'Queen of Mean' Incident that named Gil as one of the people who had helped save Auardon.
Missing persons report on all of the kids that were currently in the Encanto.
And most horrifyingly of all, she found obituaries also published by Harry Badun for other relatives of the New comers. Siblings and cousins. Siblings and cousins who didn't make it to 18.
Nine to be exact.
Nine dead kids.
Six Boys.
Three girls.
Claudine wished she never looked.
🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁
The LeGume-LePrince-Bimbette cousins settled into the Encanto rather quickly and were met with little resistance, much to their surprise.
They moved into a small, fixxer upper, 'work in progress' house with just enough backyard for the kids to be able to run around in and got to work.
Junior and Bronze became movers and mechanics.
Gil arm wrestled people and babysat for money.
Claire became a seamstress and a duel teacher.
And Lefou Deux or Lee, as he went by now, became a toy maker while their little cousins and siblings went to school.
All of them were less than enthusiastic about becoming high school dropouts but knew that it sadly had to be done. How else were they supposed to be expected to keep a roof over all their heads?
And sure, it wasn't the most glamorous roof-- being thin, uninsulated, and filled with holes. But it was a roof.
And sure, it was crowded since they all had to share rooms but it wasn't all that bad since they didn't have any furniture to crowd it more. And sure, it was so cold that they had to huddle together for warmth most of the time but it was better than nothing.
At least that's what they told themselves until they could get something better.
🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁🐀🐁
4 months after the new comers had arrived in the Encanto, Claudine stood outside of the toy shop-- invisible to the naked eye, watching as the tallest and lengthest one ran around the shop. Fixing things.
It had become a habit of hers for reasons she could not explain. One that she wasn't sure her family knew of or would approve of.
She knew it was werid. And that some would even call it a bit creepy but she just couldn't help it.
The redhead worried about him. Had been worrying about him ever since she heard her Abuela and Tías fretting over how he needed to eat more about a month after he arrived in town.
After that, Claudine just hadn't been able to get how thin he was out of her head. So, she had gotten into the habit of following him around and sneaking extra food into his lunch bag and goreceries. And so far, he hadn't seemed to notice.
Which Claudine was thankful for, since she wasn't sure what she'd do if she were ever caught.
Probably turn invisible and stay that way until he forgot what she looked like.
Annnnnnnd she was starting to sound like a stalker, wasn't she?
Claudine swatted that thought out of her head, noticing that it was nearly the boy's lunch break and quickly snuck into the small shop. Making sure to keep a tight grip on her bag when--
WHAM!
Claudine fell back, becoming visible as the contents of her bag spilled everywhere. Mixing with toy parts.
All the color drained out of her face as she slowly lifted her head and spotted the new comer, who was clutching his now bleeding nose and looking at her.
"Oh my god, I am so sorry. I didn't see you there--" the dark haired boy stammered, quickly helping her gather the contents of her bag. Including the wrapped arepas that Claudine had been planning on sneaking into his bag.
Claudine was sure that she was probably as red as her hair by now and waited for him to call her out on being the one who had been sneaking into his bag, dreading it, but to her surprise he said nothing. Holding them out to her.
"Uh gracias. Muy apreciada" she muttered meekly, snatching it back from him and shoving it back into her bag. Where her rats were still hiding, thankfully already.
"No problemo miss. It's the least I could do after rudely running into you like that. I don't know how I could have missed you. I should probably get my eyes checked " He joked, fidgeting with his gloves. Clearly expecting to get yelled at.
Claudine's heart ached, remembering how quick she was to expect the same for things that weren't her fault when she was younger.
"No, no. It was my fault. I should have been paying better attention " she rushed to assure him, not liking the far off look he was starting to get in his eyes.
"I'm Claudine by the way. Claudine Madrigal" She held her hand out to him in invitation, silently hoping the change of subject would work.
It did.
He quickly accepted her hand, grinning widely in a way that gave her butterflies before introducing himself. "Nice to meet ya Claudine, I'm Lefou Deux LePrince but everyone calls me Lee".
Looking into his eyes, Claudine was sure of one thing;
She was doomed.

Ok but in the kidnapping au I want Agustin to have a gun, my man is from the city he could feasibly have a gun. One of the kids could also find the gun, it could play into this whole rescue thing(given that Camilo, Dolores and Mirabel don't have gifts that could work i a fight like Luisa or Isabela). Also do the kids know how to fight, that could also play part, cause I doubt they would know how to be aggressive and violent.
I thought about a gun. But Idk I don’t like guns. Also, idk how well the most accident prone man from the movie having a gun would go over.
I thought about the kidnappers having them and the triplets being very confused because it’s one of many things they just don’t have in the Encanto. It’d be interesting if Agustín had one too since he’s not from the Encanto either and when this is all said and done Julieta is like, I don’t want that anywhere near this house or her family because it absolutely freaks them all out and reminds them of what happened.
That’s a fair consideration, as the Encanto is a pretty peaceful place and there’s not really a reason for them to have learned how to fight and be aggressive. But Camilo and Dolores don’t have to fight. They’re gifts are still useful for eavesdropping on plans & figuring out when to make a move in Dolores’ case and just straight up infiltration on Camilo’s part. Also I like the headcanon that Mirabel is just scrappy and DOES know how to fight so they actually look to her for help in that area

In the kidnapped Agustin and Camilo AU, besides for the family, I also feel bad for Alejandra. All of a sudden one day a bunch of strangers with magical powers (her mother probably kept her away from the Madrigals as much as she could in case she mentioned something) show up at her house, her brother turns out not to be her brother and suddenly looks completely different, she has three older sisters, her father is recovering from ten years of imprisonment and emotional trauma, she's brought away from her home to live with aforesaid strangers, and her mother gets kicked out of the Encanto. And she's only, what, five? The poor kid must be so confused.
You hit the nail right in the coffin…
It would take Alejandra quite a while to recognize Camilo’s true form and that he isn’t named Pablo, her mother is suddenly gone, a bunch of strangers have arrived on the doorstep who know her dad, she apparently has three sisters, and a lot more you’ve already listed.
I think the poor girl being confused is a bit of a understatement…

TWs: Drugging, implication of rape!
Well, since Reina used drugging as a way to get one of her victims, and given that the captivity lasted a decade, she definitely drugged Agustín without his consent multiple times within those years…
Specifically during the nights, if you catch my drift…

(kidnapped Agustín and Camilo au) Considering the time period and culture Encanto is set in, it's unlikely that the town would just accept Reina having Alejandra five years after her husband died, fathered by a brief liaison with a passing merchant or whoever Reina claimed it was. But at that point, Reina was long past caring what the town thought of her. All she cared about were her "husband" and her "son"....
This sounds pretty in-character for Reina.
All that matters to her is that she has her "husband" and "son" back...

In both kidnapped au would Luis and Alejandra gets gift or doors (cause I know one of the creators said they could still get a gift even if they’re older or adopted somewhere)
Luis: Probably not. He’d have a door, but having a gift would only result in more stress on top of all the issues he has…
Alejandra: Maybe. I actually don’t know yet.

Luisa, Isabela, Antonio and Dolores should be apart of the rescue team. With Dolores being the detector, Antonio being the translator for Parce and Luisa and Isabela being the defense
Oh yes! That’d definitely be a good idea.
I do imagine Pepa making Isa and Dolores promise to not lose Antonio out of their sight (the adults are overprotective for a reason).
Obviously, Antonio is Parce’s translator, Dolores is the detector (hearing her Tío’s voice and three unknown ones), and Isa and Luisa being the defense in case something, anything, goes wrong.
And now that we’re still here, here’s Reina’s design!

In the second kidnapped AU, what the rest of the family think of Alejandra?
They like her, and don’t hold anything against her.
It’s her mother they want gone…

In the kidnapped Agustin and Camilo AU, after they got rescued, everyone probably wanted to know why they hadn't escaped until now. Apparently one attempt didn't end well? But still, ten years and nothing?
It's not like the kidnapped AU where it was the two girls and four kidnappers (not that the characters in this AU would know about that). Okay, Camilo's a teenager, but he's been brainwashed for years to think that Reina is his real mother. But what about Agustin? He's a healthy adult man, and Reina's only one woman; is it really possible that he was never able to overpower her and run out the door, or break a window and make a run for it or something?
Except that it's not only his own safety he had to consider all these years. It was Camilo's. (And maybe even Alejandra's.) When they first got taken to her house and Agustin threatened to try to break out, Reina didn't threaten to harm him, she threatened to harm his five-year-old nephew....and of course Agustin wants to spare Camilo from as much danger as he can....
Agustín never left because, like you said, he had to consider Camilo’s and Alejandra’s safety as well.
There’s no way, no way, that Gus would’ve ever left that house without Camilo and (later on) Alejandra, even when he had multiple chances to do so. He’d never abandon them.
Especially after Reina threatened to harm them if he did try and escape.
No, Agustín didn’t want to abandon the kids and risking them harm, so he stayed…

In dark Agustin and Camilo kidnapped. What do Julieta and blue sisters think of her step daughter/sister?
Isabela, Luisa and Mirabel are happy to have another sister, tho they do acknowledge that the circumstances of her conception weren’t that good. But that wasn’t Alejandra’s fault.
Julieta however, is far more distant with Alejandra. While the girl didn’t know and wasn’t to blame for her mother’s actions, she was a reminder of it…
Yeah, it’s kinda complicated…
Also here’s Alejandra in blue😊 (edit not mine btw)

Some more kidnapped AU stuff
Mostly some things after Agustín and Camilo (and Alejandra) get rescued and finally get back to Casita :D
TWs: a small implication of rape!
Both “Pablo” and Alejandra were much closer to their papá. They didn’t know why, but something about their mamá felt off…
After they were rescued and gotten back to Casita, Agustín wouldn’t sleep next to Julieta for a long time, for…obvious reasons…
Alejandra would join the Madrigal family living in Casita and eventually wear blue.
No, Camilo wouldn’t recognize, or even remember, Pepa and Félix as his parents…
Due to Camilo having to shape shift into another kid on a daily basis, Alejandra had extreme difficulty recognizing her “hermano Pablo”…
Yeah, there’s quite a lot of issues and difficulties post-rescue…
