You can play video games OR CREATE video games ๐พ The first option is only wasting your child's precious time, and the second one - leads to an acquisition of skills that can be monetized in the future. Guess what program our student made this game on?

๐๐ย Monday Musings: ย Quick Cause & Effect Tips!ย ๐๐
Happy Monday, fabulous families! Let's kickstart the week with some brainpower! ๐ง ๐ฅ
Dive into cause & effect with these easy steps:
๐ฏQuestion Time: Learn together with your child by asking "Why?" and "What happened next?" more often. This helps trace the sequence from cause to effect!
๐ฏStory Detective: While reading or telling stories, pause and discuss what led to key events.
๐ฏReal-Life Connections: Connect everyday situations to their outcomes. Why did that glass break? What happens after we water plants? ๐ฏ Experiment Fun: Simple home experiments can show cause and effect in action- like what happens when you mix baking soda and vinegar. ๐ฏ Reflect journal: Encourage writing or drawing about daily events and their causes/effects.
Let's light up this week with curiosity and fun! Hereโs to a week of discovery and learning! ๐

4 phrases to tell your child more often:
1. I love you

It is important that this phrase can be expanded: "I love you even when I am angry or upsetโ
2. I'm honest with you (I'm telling you the truth)
We teach children to lie. "It won't hurt," but here - bam! - your child did feel the needle and it did hurt. The child perceives this as a sign: it's ok to lie. So tell your child that it will hurt, but it will be quick.
3. I am sad / happy / bad / good / hurt
How do you respond to question How are you? We used to respond "I'm fine", and then we are surprised why our child doesn't speak about his feelings. Therefore, always describe how you are feeling, at least inside your family. You do care about a mood of every family member, don't you?
4. Try it yourself, and if necessary, I will help you.
Always give your child the opportunity to learn on his/her own. Just be there when he/she really needs your help.

Did you know that the first programmer was a woman - Ada Lovelace? She was the one who wrote the algorithm for the analytical aggregator in the 19th century - the progenitor of the modern computer. She developed a sequence of operations to solve a problem, which, in fact, is writing a code. ๐๐

Homeschooling - from idea to action.
We just had an amazing talk with Yulia Turchaninova about homeschool education - https://fb.watch/8Q4MrVibXW/
OMG! I had an insight today! I realized the core reason of why so many adults are so reluctant for a new knowledge, and learning something new is so hard for them. They have a strong inner believe they know everything already - of course they do, they studied at school! And it's unacceptable for them to think 16 years they spent in school and college were in vain...
I can't express all my thoughts in one post - so please, listen it.
I would appreciate your opinion in comments ๐, how many dads and moms are with us?
Yulia has 40+ years of teaching experience in middle, high school and college as a Physics teacher, twice mother, three times grandmother, homeschooled veteran and founder of Education Without School and Parental College.

๐ง๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ป๐!
โ Friends, from today and for a month, we're celebrating the contribution of many generations of Hispanics to the US society ๐ฅณ
โ Pictured is Ellen Ochoa, the first Hispanic woman to travel into space on her nine-day mission aboard the spacecraft Discovery in 1993. Ellen flew into space four times and spent nearly 1,000 hours in orbit ๐ฒ
โ โThe hallmark of the Latin American community is that we help each other. If you want to help the community and contribute to its development, then becoming a teacher and sharing your knowledge is one of the best ways to do it!โ - Dr. Ochoa
โ Well, we're joining the #hispanicheritagemonth celebration and starting the promotion!
