RPF Fic: Khaotung's No Good Very Bad Night Out (Excerpt)

Hello if anyone knows boner fic then...well I had once started writing a sequel which is the same story from Khaotung's POV we haven't actually gotten to the night out part in this excerpt but its still cutesy best friend assery and I thought I'd let it air outside my docs wip graveyard Rated PG for Khaotung essentially being in horny jail this whole fic

It hits him like a ton of bricks

First’s big, glistening eyes, the distraught in them and the silent plea as he looks back at Khaotung.

How many times has Khaotung seen this very sight before? First knows exactly how big he can make his eyes and how effective it is in getting him absolutely anything. 

From Khaotung or otherwise.

But something about seeing it an inch from his own face after having tasted First’s lips and telling him what he means to him - even if it was as Ayan to Akk - somewhere in the space between his ribcage the words ring true and entirely short circuits Khaotung’s brain. Akk and Ayan’s first kiss, wonderfully romantic and tempered with the doubts and terror of a teenage boy falling in love with another teenage boy…

…and all Khaotung can think about in that moment are various scenarios of First looking up at him just like that, wide eyes thoroughly wronged but begging for it, while Khaotung holds him captive against an array of surfaces; mostly, but not exclusively, horizontal.

‘Cut!’ P ’Golf’s voice cuts through his thoughts and he’s glad for the distraction even though the slight note of irritation makes Khaotung cringe inside, ‘Khaotung, don’t wait so long before saying your line. Just slowly count to three in your head and say it, okay?’

Khaotung nods and shakes his shoulders and hands to bring his focus back, surely he can survive three seconds of looking into First’s soulful eyes without losing his mind entirely.

Khaotung does make a valiant attempt to rationalize his newfound desire to see First cry. More specifically, crying because he’s overwhelmed with pleasure, preferably delivered from Khaotung himself. His obvious reach is character bleed. It’s Ayan and his obsession to poke and wheedle into Akk’s life also has Khaotung gagging for every sliver of First’s attention. 

It doesn’t matter that he already possesses the lion’s share of First’s attention. No matter how much First fusses over him, laughs because of him, worries about him, follows him around or heck, even gets mad at him - nothing seems to satisfy his desire to monopolize First’s time.

But it’s not weird, obviously, because Ayan is the same about Akk. So when Khaotung’s every waking thought is just one degree separated from straight up locking First in his basement, it’s purely because he’s an excellent actor deeply invested in genuinely portraying his character.

His carefully constructed reasons as to why he suddenly wants his best friend to choke on his dick starts falling apart rather quickly when First gets injured. It’s three weeks of break from filming and while Khaotung is enjoying this interlude from Ayan and a chance to decompress, his affliction involving First has acquired an alarming prognosis. It’s growing within him like a bottomless pit. The more he feeds it - and with First clinging to him like a helpless kitten he’s been feeding it a lot - the further he loses sight of there being an end to this hunger.

Khaotung still did okay when he felt too guilty to have impure thoughts about First when First was freshly injured and the helpless kitten act was less of an act.

Right now though, First is clasping his mostly healed hand and looking up at Khaotung with the most devastatingly needy expression, eyes so big that the only place for it to go is straight to Khaotung’s dick. First even throws in a little, ‘Ai’Tung~~~pleaaase it hurts’ to really fuck with his sanity.

First is trying to convince Khaotung to run down to the 7-eleven to replenish their stock of beer while Khaotung tries to prolong the pretense that he won’t do it. He can’t admit to First it’s because of how much he enjoys First acting cute and wilful around him and thankfully First is too drunk to notice. 

First has just finished consuming the last beer can in Khaotung’s house, his third of the night and it has colored his cheeks with a pretty blush that makes Khaotung’s heart race alarmingly fast. First presses his toes against Khaotung’s thighs, gently trying to pry Khaotung’s butt off the couch and smiling with that mischievous little quirk of his lips. 

First is comfortably lounging back against the armrest like he’s in his own house and has his head tilted to the side as he repeats himself, ‘Please, Ai’Tung. I’ll do anything you ask me to.’

Khaotung has to wonder if First knows exactly how much danger he is in. It’s not entirely First’s fault that Khaotung’s little malady has turned every little exchange of theirs into an opportunity for First to invoke the temptations of Aphrodite upon him. 

The unfortunate nature of their long friendship means that they often play silly little gimmicks with each other. This particular gimmick happens to involve First acting slutty and making innuendos that Khaotung is supposed to laugh at. Then Khaotung is supposed to take him up on his lewd offer and fulfill First’s request. But the incredulous thing about this gimmick is this next part where Khaotung is actually not supposed to make First do anything lewd! This is somehow First’s way of communicating to Khaotung that the pile of dishes in his kitchen sink has reached a critical mass offensive enough for First to wash them for him in exchange for a paltry favor.

He remembers how it started. 

First had had enough of Khaotung’s mess one day and just cleaned his room for him like a scorned mother on a mission. But then he’d gotten yelled at because he accidentally threw out a valuable art print that Khaotung had just bought. First defended himself with the excellent point that he could have never known what it was because it was still inside its packaging and Khaotung was using it as a coaster. 

Nevertheless, a sweep for precious possessions is currently basic protocol before First is allowed to tidy his room. Somewhere down the line they added whatever this eyelash batting, body offering thing is that First insists on doing (that Khaotung has unfortunately always heavily encouraged).

Now though, Khaotung is ready to vacuum his own floor, to First’s preferred level of cleanliness even - at least two levels above the national average - so he can use the favor to push First down onto it instead. On his knees in front of Khaotung, staring up at him with his big, glistening eyes that are more thrilled than scared, lips gently trembling from the anticipation of Khaotung feeding him his cock.

Khaotung takes a deep breath to still his heart jackrabbitting in his chest and rolls his eyes as exaggeratedly as he can, making a big show of getting off the couch, ‘Fine. But you owe me big.’ 

He retorts before making his way to the nearest 7-Eleven.

Dear Respect the Petty,

I have long enjoyed your posts about colors etc (like, to the extent that when you went on vacation I was legit sad), but I don't usually notice those details in shows by myself.

However, today, in Only Friends ep 4, something was so blatant that I finally picked up on it, and I have a question.

When Ray came to apologize to Mew for kissing him without consent, Mew was in the kitchen in this warm lighting, whereas Ray quickly moved into a dark blue space. The contrast was wild. And then Mew came closer to Ray and hung out in this half-and-half space with some blue on him.

I'm proud of myself for noticing something, but I don't know what it means about these boys/their colors/their mental states/their relationship.

Got any thoughts?

@sorry-bonebag, this ask was so formal in structure, that I got a little scared. I felt like I had to answer it even though I have no less than ten other asks chilling in my inbox about the colors in Only Friends. But, honest moment here - I don't notice the colors when Khaotung is on my screen because I'm mesmerized by his beauty.

Like, LOOK at him!

I didn't even know what color that background was because my sight stopped at his face, and yellow is my favorite color! The jawline, the hair, the lips, the face, THE MAN! LOOK AT HIM!

So unlike Boston and Nick, who favor being in the dark together

Even when they have the opportunity for light, (God, I love their toxic asses)

I don't recognize color when Ray enters the room, not really at least. Of course, I noticed my little red flag being a demon ruining Sand's night by stalking him and breaking Sand's bottles, but only because Ray's lips really popped with that red background.

Just like the bar sign really made his lips pop that other time he was ruining Sand's night by suggesting a threesome at his house.

And because I like Boss "No Boundaries" Ton being lit up with the red lights while looking at photos, I did notice the transition into Ray's room focused on the red which then shifted to Ray pouring drinks.

But it's really because the opening credits only show the bar, the photos, and the alcohol in red because they are the dangers of this show.

So, like I was saying, I don't notice the colors because I'm captivated by Ray's glowing skin, which is why it pisses me off every time he is with Mew because Mew gets the Linda Evangelista treatment while Ray is forced into the shadows EVEN IN HIS OWN HOME!

Ray is usually watching Mew from the shadows or being overshadowed by Mew, literally! Mew is always sitting in front of Ray cutting him off from the light source.

Which is why I like it when Ray is with Sand because my little Ray of sunshine thrives. Even in the darkness, his skin is glowing!

The car ride the first night when Sand stopped him from driving drunk? Angelic like the heavens are shining on him! *bites knuckles*

But then again, that's how we were introduced to the boys in class. The spotlight was on Mew, Ray was in his shadow, and Boston was in the dark. (Chuem, you're doing great, hon!)

So you telling me that Mew, once again, gets to be in the warm light, while my visually stunning man who has never done a bad thing in his life (except, you know, the laundry list of bad shit he has done) gets the cool light even though they are IN THE SAME APARTMENT . . .

*takes a deep breath* It tracks.

But I'm glad that Mew stepped into the cool light with Ray as Ray apologized.

Because they are friends, and Mew has proven that although he can't give Ray light, he is willing to share some of Ray's darkness.

Which tells me that it isn't really Mew stealing light from Ray

But instead, Ray needs to step out into the light and embrace the warmth that others openly give him.

So I'm very proud of you for noticing this, and know that I'm really rooting for Ray realizing how good Sand is for his skin, I mean heart . . . no, I mean skin, so I can continue to enjoy the radiant being that is Khaotung when he gets that good lighting.

Thanks for the ask, and I'll try not to get entranced by Khaotung's flawless features, so I can notice cool visuals like you.

The Friends (tm) are eating and planning a pool party. they are having a fun chat about all the crazy things the cctv they want to put in is going to pick up. you know when you create all these opportunities for the narrative to screw with you it will babes.

ray remembers he knows a hot musician and volunteers to take care of the djing in a way that is so sus that the rest of the friends get comic whiplash sound effects and an eagle scream about it

I wish I could have hope about sand and nick being good for each other bc they seem like the two most sympathetic characters this storyline currently has to offer but unfortunately my guess is they will both be too hung up on other people to be any real help to one another. and/or nick's going darkside idk you guys I'm starting to wonder. more on that coming up

ray wants to hire sand for ~party fun times~ so he goes to his work mom yo to clear it with her first. she says /why are you trying to get me wrapped up in your mess I'm a pure character/ and ray, about his intentions toward sand, rasps out "nothing is suspicious" while clearing his throat and shaking his head very quickly to indicate that nothing is suspicious.

yo's bf arrives on the scene to act as another character pointing out ray's day drinking. sorry ray the narrative agrees it's problematic to hang out at a bar all day when you're not sleeping with someone on staff. yo and bf have a cute moment and ray goes sweet and starry eyed about it.

ray: "can I get one like that?" p'yo: "here comes sand"

sorry I legitimately cannot continue without taking a moment for sparkly princess ray here. wtf. this look is, of course, aimed at sand but honestly that's not even what's important to me right now

cut to sand doing some of the most inefficient chopping work known to man while ray stands around flirting prettily with him and asking for favors.

trailer teasing us yet again on their dynamic. ray is the first one to say "you think I want you as my boyfriend? of course not!" while sand takes a long sip of his water and stares into the middle distance. oh sand.

sand calls him an asshole (affectionate)* again and gets up to go. ray grabs him by the arm and asks with feeling if he is really okay with this, which is the narrative reminding us that we are still allowed to sympathize with him even when he's being a little shit bc he understands consent. they have a nice little ~what are we~ conversation which, like—even though we know it's not actually going to work out ok for either of them even over the course this episode—is some pretty healthy communication, especially stacked right up against everything we've had from boston and nick this week. I'm honestly consistently surprised ray is being allowed to be a decent person but I'm not complaining

*nearly every time the subs say "dickhead" "asshole" etc what the characters are actually calling each other is ส��ตว์ "animal". I get that this is a more commonly used insult in thai but I think it almost holds up as a direct translation in terms of relative weight and I sort of wish it was glossed more consistently somehow. idk someone come tell me more tho

back at the pool nick meets top, who he recognizes from the photo booth pictures he found at boston's. they get a set of villain zooms, one each top and nick. nick baby don't do anything sand wouldn't do ok?

back to one of nick's online-in-a-dark-room moments. he's stalking top and finding boston comments all over his ig. the camera is not looking kindly on him here. something something the toxicity of jealousy and obsession. nick has real feelings involved so he's already at a disadvantage in his dynamic with boston, but suddenly I get the sense that boston is not necessarily safe, even if he's not going to catch feelings

I avoided spoilers mostly except after watching My School President and kind of getting into GeminiFourth, I also got spoiler for almost their whole storyline last week haha Also, apparently it's not a cheating story as expected but rather Alan and ? Wen? are exes.

NLMG was up wonky in its last few episodes, so here's hoping another of my most anticipated shows from the 2022 lineup doesn't let me down.

(Linguistics) I've noticed Thai people sometimes say "chill chill" in English instead of just chill and now this guy used "pure pure" to describe pure sex. I wonder if this type of repetition is common in Thai as well and I just don't know it because I don't know Thai or if it's specifically with English words. Actually, I think plural is just repetition of the word at least sometimes? dek = child, dek dek = children, so it's not just English loanwords

Also, I get why they didn't translate Heart's signing in the first 2 episodes to make us go through the same things as Li Ming but now that Li Ming understand Heart, we should be getting translations. It's like [speaking a foreign language] when the main character is also not supposed to understand is fine but saying that isn't fine when everybody in the conversation is supposed to understand the language. By ep 4, Li Ming understands and communicates with Heart and what Heart says back should be understood by the audience.

This episode was just so much emotional damage and also really realizing just how much every other relationship is more interesting than Wen and Jim. Whether it be our side couples, Li Ming with Jim or Wen, Alan and Wen, Alan and Jim, Gaipa and his mom, Heart and his parents. Gaipa and Jim are meh as well because it's just awkward how much Jim doesn't reciprocate while Gaipa's trying so hard but it's meant to be that way.

Also I wish I knew how long Li Ming has lived with his uncle. Jim’s missteps are more understandable if it’s been like just a year and he wasn’t prepared to parent/be the guardian of a teenager rather than if it’s been like 5-6 years.

Overall:

It's a good one! High quality with good acting and interesting storylines that are unique in BL. It didn't hit me as hard as it seemed to hit some other people though and I'm not thinking about it much at all since finishing. I think Jim/Wen's relationship was one of the weakest aspects of the show to me because I didn't care nor did I really feel anything.

I loved Heart and Li Ming, I enjoyed getting to see Jim grow and also how his relationship with Li Ming changed, I liked getting to see Wen and Alan's flashbacks and to present tense relationship, I like Gaipa showing up once in a while to be bright, I thought Gaipa and Leng's interactions were funny, I loved Li Ming as a character so much, I wished to be him so badly.

I Secretly Fell in Love with Student Council President (let the dumb titles continue) - director of H2: Crossing the Line; Love Is Science with possible alternate title: About Youth. 2 high school boys with different backgrounds, personalities, and values compete for student president, but have more attraction than animosity.

My Tooth Your Love (from Result Entertainment - We Best Love peeps) with script by Lin Pei who loves VERY traditional yaoi tropes, she’s the writer of mush HIStory stuff. 

FROM JAPAN

Bokura no Shokutaku AKA Our Dining Table - I LOVED THIS MANGA. Lonely salaryman (talented cook) gets accidentally adopted by a college kid and his baby brother. They build a family together. This is a sweetly gentle and cozy manga and it will make a GREAT live action piece. 

Kabesaa Doujin Sakka no Neko Yashiki-kun wa Shounin Yokkyuu wo Kojirasete iru - starring Matsuoka Koudai (I know him from Five) and Nakao Masaki (Kakafukaka, Bow Then Kiss - he’s a BIG DEAL ya’ll) slated to be released in October.

Day 17 - Show that Let me Down

meh, so much catching up to do, sorry again. It’s been a stressful couple of days. Anyway, as promised on the 15th: The show that let me down is Tonhon Chonlatee.

And before I get into why, I would like to stress that, if you love this show and are a fan, please keep it up and please don’t misunderstand. I’m in no way suggesting that my personal point of view is the only correct one and that others should follow it. If you like something, then go ahead and enjoy it.

So.

The thing is, I actually had high hopes for this show, because it was it’s a comedy show, and I was really looking forward to that. Also, I knew Jan was going to be in it, and I love her, so I was extra excited about her as well.

Not to mention, I do like Khaotung a lot and was very happy for him to score a main role. And I do like Pod as well, even though he’ll always be Sun from SunMork to me, but I was willing to ignore that for this show.

Anyway... so the show started of nicely, with funny little references to other successful shows, you know, like...

*cough* not that I ever talk about that one *cough*

And, also the characters were just generally introduced very nicely. Like, Chon as the slightly awkward but charming shy guy who is just head over heals in love with Ton.

Also, I LOVED Chon’s mom. She was SUCH a great character. Funny, entertaining, but also massively supportive and serious when she had to be. She was so perfect.

All in all, the show had a great mix of funny comedic moments and serious heartfelt moments with messages of genuine life-lessons.

So, what could go wrong?

Well, everything.

It started with Ton taking his friends to a brothel, in order to “make Chon a man”. And, honestly, no matter how much of a comedy this is and how much they tried to spin it in a funny way, still. Fuck that message.

Not to mention, Miriam - I am so torn about her, because it was indeed a very interesting character for Jan to play, because she had man options to shine, especially with comedy and such. But, honestly, did they have to make her a prostitute? And then attempt to save her reputation my making her a prostitute on her first night on the job, i.e. still a virgin? Who then blackmails her clients to take her home and have her live with her and financially support her? It’s such a stupid back and forth of what’s supposedly morally acceptable... I just found it super annoying.

And then, the worst, Ton’s father. And, don’t get me wrong, I do understand that parents like that exist. Parents who feel the need to control everything about their children, including who they are and who they love. I know there are parents out there who feel like their children owe them grandchildren and if they don’t get them it’s the end of the world. BUT... the problem with Ton’s dad in this series is that this kind of parent is presented as a good parent, as one who loves his child, and one who deserves respect and obedience.

And that’s the thing that ruined everything to me. Controlling your child’s life to the point where you expect them to give up on who they really truly are, where you expect them to switch their sexual orientation according to your own wishes, where you expect them to produce grandchildren for YOUR benefit while they themselves haven’t even considered whether or not they want children... I’m sorry, if you control your child like that, you are being A BAD PARENT.

And I hate that the show missed the opportunity to point that out. 

But it got even worse. Since all that Ton’s dad wants is a grandchild, Miriam, who needs money, ends up offering to be a surrogate for Ton and Chon. And... that is presented as the perfect solution to everything.

And it was just so wrong. Ton and Chon were never even asked if they wanted to be parents. Miriam was told she shouldn’t sell her body as a prostitute, but apparently nobody has any problems with her selling her body to produce a child. That’s presented as morally fully acceptable and without any emotional repercussions to her or anybody else involved.

Please don’t get me wrong. I do believe that surrogacy is a great option for many people. However, you can’t deny that it does come with moral and ethical dilemmas and emotional side effects that can affect the future lives of everybody participating. And the show just played it off as a quick and easy solution to the we-need-a-grandchild problem which shouldn’t have been a priority in the first place.

Yeah, so they lost me there. Like, completely.
