meet the babies <3

so y’all already be knowin that I am now fostering 3 kittens, let me introduce them to you now!

So the momma is Nicki. She is the smallest full-grown cat I have ever seen. She is a brown tabby with white little socks on her feeties that are all different lengths. I am almost certain that she is just a really nice feral cat, because my findings are as follows:

the foster coordinator found Nicki in the garden section of a Wal-Mart. The employees had been feeding her, and noticed she was pregnant!! <3

she is very nice and friendly. She will let just about anyone hold her babies. When you hold her, she tries to get away but literally never uses her claws to do so. What a sweetheart!!! 

she was in labor for three days (the longest the foster coordinator has ever seen). One of her babies was born on the 19th and the other on the 21st

she has no clue how to play with toys or anything. You roll a ball at her and she’s like “??? what is this? what do you expect me to do with it???” I had to show her how to use the little scratching post/board thingy I got for her by miming cat scratching on it until she figured it out (and now it is her favorite thing, aside from the little crinkly poof balls I got her, which she has carefully relocated to her bed with her and the kittens). She has mild interest in the feather toy, but only after I removed the bell

she is scared of bells and other loud noises

she is nervous about people walking over her or even around her. She will entirely move herself to a corner or her bed if you attempt to do so. (I always feel so bad for making her uncomfortable TTATT)

she loves belly rubs

her back paws are ticklish

she has had an infected cut on her side since before I got her. The foster coordinator says she doesn’t need a vet, just some of the antibiotics they gave me with my care package, so I started her on that today and she was peeved at me about it, but I gave her lots of treats afterwards

she was extremely well-behaved yesterday when I cleaned out her cut and put bacitracin on it!! <3

Then we have the babies, Eminem and Dre!!! (we don’t know as much about them yet, they’re still so young!)

They are almost exactly 3 weeks old now!! 

Eminem is a girl, and she’s more outgoing than her brother. She’s black-and-white spotted.

Dre is the quiet type. He is a brown tabby like his momma.

Dre was severely underweight when he was born, but has since caught up and even surpassed his sister! What a good babie!!

Eminem opened her eyes first-- a prodigy <3

Both of them get a lot of eye boogers right now, and they hate it when I clean their little faces and give them medicine >~<

Dre is alright as long as he feels securely held, but Eminem will cry unless you hold her right to your chest with both hands. She’s a little bit of a princess uwu

I know this was long, but that’s what we know about these little guys so far! I’ll keep you posted!!
