Headcanon: Ox came from a family that runs a tea shop. Similar situation to Po except he actually fights rather than a mere fanboy, he enjoys fighting and probably get scolded for it.

His alternate backstory said that he often skip chores to watch kung fu action, so I though that ‘chores’ means helping his family’s business and he would sneak out from it at times, because serving tea is much less exciting than fighting!

When the other two found out, Rhino just tag along while Croc would diss him because it was so unexpected

so after rewatching holiday, the previous Big HC Post i did a year ago was wrong-- there are 29 schools + the jade palace in china, not in the province rip

now that doesnt mean that there aren’t any more than that-- i mean, the viper family dojo is a Thing That Exists (probably exclusively for the family)

but those 29 are probably the ones That Are Officially Recognized by the jade palace and probably operate in a similar way ie. one main grand master with several masters under them teaching other prospective students while being open to everyone for the most part

one of my favorite kfp fics involves shen. like. wandering through the afterlife after the events of kfp2 and running into various other characters who appear to be trying to help him Move On (in chronological order, he runs into oogway, master thundering rhino, and then wolf boss), and i am forever Depressed that it appears to be Dead As A Doornail bc i feel that it was slowly building up to shen confronting either his younger self, his parents, or both, and i was Highkey looking forward to it hhhhh
