I did a weird thing with a crystal cluster I picked up at an antiques shop and a broken key bow given to me by a local metal detecting chap. I turned the decorative key head into a bail for the crystal and carefully drilled a hole for it underwater. They work quite well together I think! This necklace has already been snaffled from my shop, but I wanted to say - looky, looky, there are some of my handmade ceramic beads. Keybow Mini

The project continues! This little three-key mechanical keyboard will be the interface for the Raspberry Pi busy light. I am currently stuck figuring out how to do that. I have three different busy light templates to follow, and I'm basically baffled at some point in all of them.

But I shouldn't get too overwhelmed by what is left to figure out. Emily and I successfully soldered another Raspberry Pi Zero W header, assembled this keyboard, and got its OS installed. That's something! That could be a whole project! Right????

I'm mostly telling myself this. I'm in a mood right now where I feel like I'm not actually finishing everything and I'm just spending money on more things I don't understand and why am I bothering with anything. But look, there's something I made and it works.

i have three full size keyboards right now and two macropads.

keybow 12 is a 3x4 macropad i've had since spring 2021

gmmk pro is a 75% i've had since june 2021

planck is a 40% i've had since june 2021

OBE is a 65% alice i've had since fall 2021 (can't remember date)

duckboard is a numpad i've had for about a month

the gmmk pro is my daily driver & the duckboard is also sitting on my desk. the other three are in my top drawer. i have not yet been commissioned to build a keyboard (👀) and i also feel like everything in my collection is different enough that i don't currently have plans to sell anything. in addition to the 5 built boards i also have 8 different kinds of switches that i very occasionally swap out to change it up :~) so yes a bit like legos

edit to add building a keyboard if you have all of the parts ready takes maybe 1-2 hours depending on if it's hotswap or soldered, so it really doesnt take that long once your components are in! lubing switches before you use them can take like 3-5 hours depending on how big your board is though
