A computer keyboard. For most it’s simply a way to enter data/information into a computer. For those of us born after 1980 it’s become an object and tool for us to accomplish so much. It’s use though I’ve come to find can give you the ability to allow free flowing of thoughts, feelings, memories, things said, things wish said differently, things wish weren’t said, things you haven’t said, and things that probably won’t be said. Maybe even give you the ability to read what you wrote and be able to better address something in future. The “Dear Diary...” in the nightstand is dead for us. Though I offer up this quote from this not so famous guy, “Well, at least I will have this as my outlet. I hate writing things down, but you put a keyboard in my hand, and I can shit out some thoughts and words really well.” ~ Jason M. Duke, 2019. Everything doesn’t need to be aired out like laundry to the world. Don’t need to blog it, put out memes, or share other peoples quotes. Put it down through the keyboard. Maybe it gets shared, maybe it empowers you for another conversation, and maybe it just dies there on the screen.
